"Daniel James Fenton!"

Danny cringed at his full name. Oh no, what did I do this time? "Yeah Dad?" Danny asked tentatively, turning at his desk. His father stood angrily at his doorway, one hand on his hip, the other holding a brown leathery book.

"Did you time travel again?" his Dad asked him seriously.

Danny's eyebrows shot up. "What?"

"Did you," Jack repeated, coming into his room. "Time travel again." He held out the brown journal, opening to a page in the middle.

"Uhhh…." Danny stuttered, taking the book from his father. Jack walked over to the boy's bed, staring at him. He skimmed the first few lines, reading the words 'white haired demon,' 'the mark of a ghost' and 'blood blossoms,' with a frown. "Oh," he exclaimed. "Yeah, um, to -"

"Salem? 1600's?" Jack supplied with an eyebrow raised.

Danny laughed nervously. "Family heirloom?"

Jack nodded. "A distant relative's journal," he said. "We dropped the Nightingale after the civil war. So care to tell me why you travelled in time?"

"Recon?" Danny said lightly. When his father didn't look amused he sighed. "Met a new friend named Frostbite, had something called the Infi-Map and we travelled through space and time mapping out parts of the Ghost Zone."

"You're grounded."

"What!?" Danny exclaimed. "Why!?"

Jack stood up, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "For not taking me with you."

"Dad!" Danny whined, drawing out the vowel in his name.

Jack chuckled. "Oh," he remembered, looking back at his flabbergasted son as he held the journal. "Who was the 'Loud witch that got away?'"

"Sam," Danny replied glumly, closing the book with a huff. "They had her tied to the stake."

Jack stopped. "They what?"

"I got her out!" Danny replied quickly, raising his hands. "She's fine, we're all fine."

Jack looked Danny over, checking for any injuries before he smiled. "Glad you kids are safe," he said with a smile. Danny smiled back, watching his father leave his room before he turned back to his homework.

He managed to get through three math problems before he cringed again.

"Daniel James Fenton what the hell happened to my speeder!?"

Thanks for the reviews, follows and favs everyone! I did get a PM about continuity with some of my stories. EfFI is the first one (it needs an overhaul so I apologize in advance), then MtG, then these snippets (RtN) and my in-progress fic Out of Time (OoT). You don't have to read them to read this story (a few of the OCs and powers may pop up from time to time), but I think it's stand alone. If you're reading OoT or have read MtG, then you have some extra info.

As for updates? Honestly, I have 7 of these ready to go. After that? Basically when inspiration strikes! Feel free to suggest prompts if you'd like - I'll try to incorporate them when I can!
