Hi everyone. NiteOwl18 here with chapter 21 of HercuLOUD. It's been somewhat ok with me. Being inside of my home for the entire month of November with no call from my job to see if they have any assignments for me. All I have been doing is doing fan art, playing app games, watching t.v, and reading fanfiction. Maybe I'll find a job one day. In the meantime, let's talk about the new chapter. I had done this story, but not entirely. I decided to split it into sequels rather than posting more chapters on a story. And it's to celebrate the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. I saw the two trailers, and I'm really excited! So excited that I made this chapter. And reading My Hero Academia x Spider-Man fanfiction as well. It's called Amazing Fantasy by The Infamous Man. It's a long story with a long chapter, but it's great. I remember reading it over a year ago, then stopped before continuing where I left off. I even read another story called An Illusionary Power by Im The Person. This is an amazing story; if you guys have time, check these stories out. Now on with the chapter!
Chapter 21: The Return of Yellowjacket
In the Loud House, Lincoln was in his room facing the large board he had hidden under his mattress to use for another one of his overcomplicated plans.
He turned to the audience, "Hi everyone. Well, we're at the beginning of August. Only two more weeks before me and my friends entered middle school. I wouldn't be too worried, though I can't say the same to those three jerks I encountered back at the fair. It's been a crazy summer. Me not being the only boy in the family but being the first mutant. Training under Spider-Man. Becoming an Avenger. Fighting elemental beasts, an animal, a crazy hunter, and a shocking villain. Meeting a king from a secret forgien country. Best of all, I have my family backing me up in my wildest adventures. But I can't pretend there has been some backlash," Lincoln gestured to the large board behind him. It is composed of pictures and information of the sinister organization known as Hydra and the two assassins that have been targeting Lincoln. "Hydra has got me under their radar. So far, they have sent two assassins," He pointed at the first picture of the man from the carnival. "Mr. Dracott, who was just an accountant before he became Hydra's pawn. He died from a cyanide pill as I was confronting him. And this is Dawn Conagher," Lincoln points at the orange haired girl in an armored suit and mechanical gloves. "I had a run in with her in Great Lakes City. Looks like Hydra is recruiting anybody from the streets. Nick had done a background information on Dawn, which I have posted underneath her photo. Orphaned at age seven in Michigan; been to several foster families. Suspended from school due to injuring a teacher. Competing in several underground fighting clubs. Went to juvie at age eleven. And here's the surprise. She's also a mutant; earthquake manipulation. A powerful gift, but dangerous. Though she takes joy in not controlling her power. Her suit and gloves came from a research facility outside of Michigan; the gloves help her control her power, which I doubt it since she attacked me and Ronnie Anne's family. The Avengers have been tracking her down, and so have I. My mind's been flinging answers over Hydra's main goal over me. I had two assassins trying to kill me; one is dead and the other is still at large. And Hydra isn't spending a day off in finding another assassin to take me down. Whoever they're sending next, I gotta be ready."
As right as the young hero he'll ever be, because the next assassin has arrived at a bus stop. The boy was thirteen years old with tan skin, messy black hair, raven eyes, and an emotionless expression. He was wearing a celerulean blue shirt with baggy brown pants and brown shoes. This boy was Arnold Sinclair, Jr.
"This is the place where they said my dad had to pick up something," Arnold grumbled, looking at the bus station with a deadpan look. Just what could a stranger want his old man for that requires him to travel to this lame city? Instead of the old man he was mentioning, he took his place. Why? He happened to pick up the call first before his father got to it. And instead of informing him of it, Arnold decided to take the job for himself. There was nothing for him back in San Francisco. He got expelled from school for hacking into the school's computer to change his grades, and he was charging those who wanted to for a fee. His old man hounded him every day, calling him worthless. He was forced to take odd jobs and collect what he can barely call payment. Meanwhile, his dad ranks in the dough thanks to bringing wanted scumbags. He hated that he was better than him! After he left for his job, Arnold got the call and accepted it and left his rotten home for good. He didn't know what that offer was waiting for him. The stranger didn't say much, plus he sounded German.
Arnold had arrived at the bus station; the caller told him to go to the bus station upon arriving at Royal Woods and find a locker marked 262.
Arnold went to the nearby counter and asked the worker "I need a key to locker 262."
"Name please."
"Arnold Sinclair."
"Sinclair. Sinclair. Here you go," The worker saw the name on his computer and handed the boy the key.
"Thanks."
Arnold walked over to the locker rooms to find the locker he was assigned to. He inserted the key inside. He took out a large briefcase. Curiously spelled his face. Could it be money? Like how much money was in there? Before he could open it, the phone rang. Sneering, he tried to turn it off, only to slide the answer on the device.
"Couldn't you stay away from the offer instead of giving it to your father, Arnold?"
"How did you-?"
"Call it intuition. I suppose a bright young man such as yourself can have a chance in the spotlight."
"So how much is there?" Arnold asked about the amount of money in the case.
"It's more than just money."
Arnold opened the case and his eyes leaned it to what it was. The caller continues as if he knows his expression.
"It's better not to ask any questions. This particular relic was once invented and belongs to a man with great ambitions. You and him are similar. Are you up for it?"
Arnold kept staring at the suit with a growing smirk and chuckling "What do I have to do?"
"Wait for the perfect opportunity, just as long as you grab that brat's attention."
"Understood. Thanks, boss," Arnold said, putting the phone in his pocket. He then left the bus station with the case in his hand.
Lincoln had run into a nearby alleyway after receiving a call from Lisa. "Couldn't pick a better time than to call me, Lisa," He remarked, unzipping his backpack.
"My apologies, Lincoln. I know you're trying to spend the last few weeks of Summer; there's a robbery in progress in 57th Wellington."
"What are they stealing? Money from charity?"
"From Burpin Burgers."
"Oh, not in my town they won't," Lincoln grumbled, putting his hood up to shield his face and ran out of the alleyway to the crime while sending his mentor a text message.
A couple of thugs exit the fast food restaurant with money in their bags, plus a few burgers for the road. They entered their getaway van to begin fleeing. The van avoided any cars in a fast pace, unaware that the two heroes had their eye on them.
"We got away just in time before the cops showed up!" The driver laughed, turning the van to the left. "Now to head back to enjoy some delicious food-" He is interrupted by something hard on the roof. To their horror, it was Hercules who was staring at them from the door window.
"Stealing from Burpin Burgers? That's just low!" He exclaimed. One of the thugs fired a shotgun at the door window, ignoring the driver's shouting. He then aimed his weapon at the roof to fire a couple of rounds before it was taken away from a webline.
"I don't know whether to be mad you guys got free food or sad this is the only heist you guys ever been," Spider-Man quipped, disarming the shotgun before throwing it away.
Another member shouted with a Uzi machine gun, "Die, freaks!"
Spider-Man avoided the round of bullets; the driver kept his focus on the road, nearly running over citizens. One of the doors from the back of the van was ripped open. Hercules came from the roof to enter in with ease. Two of the thugs ran to the hero, only to have their heads smash together to knock them out. The thug armed with the Uzi turned his attention to Hercules; he didn't see Spider-Man breaking through the windshield to grab his arm and pulled his entire body out of the van, causing him to yell.
"This is where you stop, pal!" Hercules yelled at the driver.
"Say you!" The driver yelled, and turned into a hard right. Hercules slammed into the wall. The driver increases the acceleration. Citizens were running away from the van that was coming at them. Spider-Man flies into action to save his partner. The van crashes into several cars before turning to the other direction. Hercules was on the ground; despite having unbreakable skin, it didn't save him from staying in balance in situations like this. His upper body was on the ground; he carefully moved to the driver. Hercules quickly grabbed the driver into a chokehold. The driver attempts to throw a right hook, only to have it blocked by the boy and his head slammed on the wheel, making him dizzy. Hercules shifts the gear shift to put the van in park. The driver quickly pushed him away and left the van; he lost his foot, which caused him to roll down a small hill.
Hercules chased after him; it was a short chase as Spider-Man fired a web to trap the driver's legs together. Both heroes walked to the criminal who began crawling.
"First your buddies robbed my favorite fast food and you're still trying to escape from us? That's just sad, man," Hercules remarked. Spider-Man rolled the criminal to have his back laying on the ground.
"No cop isn't stupid to put me away, freaks!" The criminal spat, despite showing some fear in front of the two heroes.
"Your buddies begged to differ," Spider-Man said, jabbing his thumb at the van that consisted of the two other knockout criminals Hercules had done. Before either of the heroes could grab the last criminal, both were startled by a loud cry coming from the man. And then, his eyes rolled back to his skull and his head hitting the ground.
"Sir?" Hercules asked, showing some concern to the thief. Spider-Man digs two fingers in his neck before recoiling in a gasp.
"He's dead!"
"What?" Hercules said, shocked. Then the van suddenly exploded. Both heroes were lost for words at what just happened in less than thirty seconds. "Is there someone here?" He looked around while Spider-Man's lens scope for anything unusual. His Spider senses alarmed him; it was behind them!
Both heroes saw the figure had shown itself by shrinking to its original height. The figure was wearing a suit with its primary colors being yellow and black, a helmet with four yellow visors glowing menacingly, and four sharp stingers onto its back like a backpack.
"Hercules!" The figure spoke behind the helmet.
"He's talking to you," Spider-Man said, standing guard.
"Why did you kill them?" Hercules asked.
"No reason; just wanting to get where I want you," The figure spoke. The top two stingers fired energy pulse yellow beams at Hercules; Hercules dodge it. Spider-Man fling himself to punch the figure, and the figure shrank down. Spider-Man is then punched across the face and a hard kick to the stomach sending him sliding to the floor.
Hercules couldn't know what to do as he was being beaten too. He didn't have time to react to the quick reflexes this guy had. The figure shrank back to scare the hero by grabbing him. Wings were activated from its back, and the figure flew up. As he was seven feet high, the figure let go of Hercules. Spider-Man caught Hercules just in time.
"Get out of my way, Spider-Man! The boss wants the kid!" The figure shouted, yellow beams were fired from all four pincers. Both heroes break away from the blast.
"I'm guessing you're working for Hydra!" Hercules shouted, jumping at the figure, only to miss.
"I just got the job by call. I don't know the exact details," The figure shrugged his shoulders. Spider-Man leaped onto his back to grab both of his arms. Hercules jumps to grab the figure's neck.
"Who are you?" Hercules demanded the third assassin. The assassin then chuckled.
"Call me Yellowjacket," The four stingers blast Hercules off of him. It then shook Spider-Man before Yellowjacket threw him on the ground. Yellowjacket aimed his four stringers at the two heroes before the sound of sirens stopped the fight. An annoyed tisk escaped from him. "Until next time," He flew away from the area before shrinking in front of the hero's eyes.
Spider-Man got up to help Hercules from the ground; he asked "You alright?"
"Thanks," Hercules nodded his head. He stared at the dead criminal and the burning van that had the two other criminals inside with a solemn look. Spider-Man looked where his partner was seeing.
"We need to discuss this with Fury and the other Avengers," Spider-Man noted. He and Hercules left the area to the Loud House to bring the others here.
"You two fought a man in a Yellowjacket suit?" Nick Fury repeated what both Avengers had explained. The Loud family were there in Lisa's room where they're chatting with Nick Fury and the Avengers in a private web chat.
"Affirmative," Peter nodded his head.
"That's impossible. The only Yellowjacket suit me, Hope, and Hank saw was the one Darren Cross had before I stopped him," Scott Lang said. He and Hope Van Dyne were surprised at the news of someone wearing a Yellowjacket suit.
"Are you sure there hasn't been any extra copies, even after the destruction of Cross Technologies?" Lisa asked with a perplexed look. As soon as her brother and Peter told the family about Yellowjacket, Lisa looked over the information on a company called Cross Technologies, owned by the deceased Darren Cross. She wasn't a fan of the man after he betrayed Hank Pym in creating a company that rivals his work in creating a suit for military purposes but was actually selling it to global terrorists.
"I'm sure. We checked at Cross' house from top to bottom and at his computer. There hasn't been one file that contains the blueprints of the suit," Hope spoke with honesty.
"Looks like there was one we didn't check, or the feds got to it first," Scott signed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"Fury, you have to let Scott and I go to Royal Woods. If what Lincoln had said about Hydra acquiring the Yellowjacket technology is true, the risk is inevitable," Hope said to Fury.
"I have a solution! Why don't you two call him Hank Pym? He's the person that worked with Darren Cross in the first place," Lincoln asked, not seeing the uncomfortable looks on Scott and Hope.
"Out of the question," Fury said, getting some looks from the two heroes. "The last thing I want is Hank Pym butting into S.H.I.E.L.D's business and reacting that his former protage's invention is alive."
"Saying S.H.I.E.L.D 's business and the mention of Cross won't bring back good memories, Nick," Fury and the Avengers saw the holographic image of Hank Pym appear on the table.
"Dr. Pym!" Peter and Lisa said the name in surprise, which the later ended with a squeal with stars in her eyes.
"Daddy!" Hope cried.
"Heeeey, Hank!" Scott mustered a grin, then faded when he saw the old man's furious expression.
"Hank, what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you here?" Nick spoke in a casual manner, ignoring he had just disturb a private call from two members of the Avengers in a bedroom.
"I just saw the latest news in a small town about a man who can shrink down to the size of an ant, killed three criminals and fought Spider-Man and Hercules," Hank said, huffing through his nose. "Imagine my surprise when I found out someone had gotten their hands on a Yellowjacket suit!"
"Hank, calm down," Tony said to the old man, to which Hank turned his glare at the man.
"Stark, I don't want you butting in on this! This is part of my business! I don't want you or your friends getting your hands on the suit!" He argued.
"Easy Hank, nobody is suggesting that," Scott said. Hank ignores Scott as he looks at the family from the web chat.
"And who are they?"
"We're the Loud Family, Dr.. Pym. And let me just say it's an honor to meet you," Lisa said, smiling a bit before resuming into seriousness. "Lincoln and Peter are discussing their encounter with the assassin primarily known as Yellowjacket."
Hank then glances at the brown haired man and the white haired boy in the room; both of them waving with Lincoln being nervous. He remarked in disbelief, "Good god, those two are part of the Avengers?"
"That's right; you may know me as Spider-Man."
"And I'm Hercules."
"Did Tony Stark give you two of these? Is there no limit you can cross?" Hank glared more at Tony. "I'm going to ignore that a child is part of the team that I didn't want my daughter to be a part of. I will not ignore the fact a backup suit of my former protege is somewhere in town! I'm heading over there right now!"
"Dr. Pym, we can count on Parker and Loud to handle Yellowjacket with the assistance of Scott and Hope," Steve told the man they're willing to help them stop the man in the Yellowjacket suit.
"Answer me this: How the hell did that technology fall into the hands of a random man? Wasn't S.H.I.E.L.D supposed to check their clearances on any agent who wanted a little more than picking up a suit from Cross?" Hank asked the rest of the Avengers, daring them to answer.
Nick then answers without breaking a sweat, "We believe Hydra is involved in this, Hank."
This didn't help Hank getting madder; the suit his former protege built was at the hands of Hydra, something Darren had planned to do before his company was destroyed. Hank turns to the two heroes in Lisa's bedroom, "Mr. Parker, Mr. Loud, your assistance is no longer in service. When I arrive in Royal Wood, me, Scott, and Hope can handle the man."
"But Mr. Pym-!" Peter argued.
"Me and Peter can face him again! And we wouldn't mind the extra help!" Lincoln said the words Peter was about to say.
"This is too dangerous for someone your age," Hank argued, then got some looks from the third man in the room, along with an adult blonde woman.
"Dr. Pym, my son is capable of helping you, your daughter and Ant-Man stop this Yellowjacket menace," Lynn Sr spoke.
"You and your wife agree to let your son fight thugs?" Hank said with a raised eyebrow to the boy's parents. It took a moment to process the surprise in the old man's head before sighing. "Find. Your son and Mr. Parker can help us," Lincoln and Peter high five each other with grins. "Scott, Hope, I'll be sending you the coordinates when I arrive."
"Thanks Hank, see you late-," Scott said before Hank's image disappeared.
"Looks like you have your next objection, Ant-Man and Wasp," Nick turned to the aforementioned heroes. "Parker, Loud, listen to what Dr. Pym had to say. Things have already been troublesome with the news of Yellowjacket and Hank Pym all over our butts," He wanted to say asses, but thought of another word due to the smaller childrens in the other room.
"We'll do our best, Nick," Peter said as he saluted the director. "I'll see you guys later," He waved at Scott and Hope before signing off.
Scott and Hope had arrived at the house thanks to Dr. Strange opens a portal for them to enter. Both heroes were surrounded by the entire family.
"Yeesh, I never thought they could get too rowdy! Stark was right!" Scott exclaimed; both him and Hope were donning their suits.
"Is it true you can summon an army of ants by your command?" Lana grinned, hopping up and down at the adult male.
"I totally love that color of your suit!" Leni compliments on The Wasp's primary colors.
"Can one of you shrink down for five minutes? I lost a quarter somewhere in here and it's in the walls," Lola asked one of the heroes.
Scott looks at Lynn Sr and Rita with a grin, "You two have nice kids," The parents chuckle in embarrassment.
"We did our best in raising them," Rita smiled back. Hope saw Lily reaching to the woman with her little arms, begging to be lifted up. Chuckling, Hope picked her up and tapped her nose, making the girl giggle.
A knock on the door cause Lynn to open the door, and appearing was a eldery man wearing glasses and a grey suit with a briefcase on one hand and a laptop on the other. That man was Hope's father and the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym.
"Dad, you came!" Hope said in surprise. The Loud family turn to the old man who was going to be a part of the mission, ignoring Lisa's fangirl sequel.
"Hello Hope," Hank said to his daughter with very little emotion. He turned to Scott with the same tone. "Scott," The Loud family and Peter felt this wasn't a very happy greeting between the three, especially from the father seeing his daughter.
"Loud family, meet my father, Dr. Hank Pym," Hope introduces her father. "Dad, these are the Loud family."
The Loud family introduces themselves to the famous scientist; they recognized him from what Lisa explained. Hank almost became wide-eyed at the many kids before clearing his throat.
"Hello everyone. I see this one is the one called Hercules," Hank turns his sights at Lincoln. Lincoln then shakes hands with the old man. "Now that everyone's here, I have brought some information about that accursed suit," He set both his briefcase and laptop on the table before opening the laptop first. Everyone was seeing a living room that was being monitored from a security camera.
"Who's house is that?" Luna asked.
"Darren Cross," Hope answered. "After he died, we were worried if Darren left behind a backup plan for the Yellowjacket project. Me, Scott, and dad went over to find it."
"From top to bottom, in between vents and the floors and secret rooms, we found not one clue. We gave up," Scott said, explaining the story.
"Which was a big mistake," Hank added, using two fingers on the mousepad to fast forward the video. "As a precaution, I left behind a couple of friends to stay behind. Darren was always cautious of his work being stolen," The screen shows a couple of guys entering the empty residence. "This was picked up three months ago," Hank had switched to different screens to show where the intruders were.
"I'm guessing they're not from the F.B.I," Lucy remarked, after seeing one trashed the bedroom.
Switching back to the living room, the gang looked like they were ready to give up in frustration, until one pointed at the television mounted on the wall. He placed his hand on the back of the television. A quick line split the television, and the wall opened like a door to reveal a workshop.
"You gotta be kidding me!" Hope cried in disbelief. Hank watched as the man held a suitcase. He froze the video and analyzed the content of the case before concluding.
"There it is," Hank huffed, shaking his head. "Unbelievable. Darren hid a backup suit inside a damn television wall and we missed it. Sorry for the use of language, folks."
"It's alright, Dr. Pym," Lynn Sr said.
"But what a brilliant idea to hide something," Lisa added. Despite hating the man for trying to kill Hank to get his particle serum, she had to admit some applause for hiding his work in a place no one suspected.
"Any clue who those guys are?" Rita asked.
"These guys all worked for Darren who managed to avoid arrest. Starting now as a minor group, they plan to seal the backup plans for the highest bidder. I got the video back home to see where they are," Hank said.
"Hang on. You went alone without calling us?" Scott said in surprise. Hope was worried as well after hearing her father went doing something drastic.
"I would've called, but the two of you were part of S.H.I.E.L.D and I didn't want your buddies like Stark and Fury getting their hands on it. Don't worry, nothing happened. When I went over to the audition, they were all dead and the suit was gone," Hank finishes the story.
"I'm going to guess it was Hydra," Lincoln said, and the old man nodded his head.
"Now to ask you about the mysterious person who is donning the Yellowjacket," Hank turns to both Peter and Lincoln.
"He was about my height."
"No sense of emotions; probably in his pre-teens.
"Said he just took the job without any additional information."
"Sounds like an assassin, but a kid assassin?" Hank said, finding this nonsense.
"Tell that to the last kid that tried to kill me," Lincoln remarked, bringing up his fight with Dawn back at Great Lake Cities.
"He could have gotten the suit anonymously without raising suspicion," Scott said before moving to Hank's laptop and starting typing. Scott was accessing the phone records from Royal Woods and schedules from every transportation. The family watched in amazement as Scott even hacked into the sectruy cameras. After a few seconds, Scott found a clue. "Here it is," He points at a guy walking into the bus station at around nine before heading to the counter. The guy had a briefcase in his hand; the same one containing the Yellowjacket suit. He goes over to the lockers and leaves the area.
"The suit was in a bus station?" Lola raises an eyebrow. "I'm not a big fan of heroes and villains, but that's a dumb idea to leave a deathly suit for anyone to find."
Scott fast-forward to later and stop at where a kid went to the counter. Zooming in, the man saw the employee giving him a key to the locker room. All watched as the kid went to the locker room. Moments later, he was carrying the suitcase.
"A child...has the suit." Hank nearly popped a blood vessel upon seeing the screen.
"But who is he?" Lucy asked the big question. Scott then hacked into the employee's computer to find the person who retrieved the briefcase. Another screen pops open to reveal the list of names. Scott looked to see which one was the new Yellowjacket.
"Find it. The case was meant for Arnold Sinclair," He revealed the name, and Scott searched again for any information of the name. "Said here he works as a bounty hunter."
"A bounty hunter? At his age?" Leni said, raising an eyebrow. Scott found a photo and clicked it. All they saw was a middle aged man with tan skin and a shaved head.
"That's not the guy we fought; does he have children?" Peter asked again.
"Yes. One child. Arnold Sinclair, Jr," Scott read the name before bringing up information about him. "Said he was raised in San Francisco. Got expelled from school for hacking the school's computer to change grades and profiting off of it. He's got a rap sheet of working odd jobs."
"That's the guy," Luna said.
"So what's the plan now, doc?" Lynn Jr asked the scientist in the room.
"Taking down another user of the Yellowjacket will be a challenge since this boy has no training whatsoever. By now, the particles in the suit had already corrupted his mind. He'll be a force to be reckoned with," Hank said, discussing the effects of the Yellowjacket suit that Arnold is now wearing.
"You took the last guy who wore it, right? You can do it again to him," Lynn Jr turned to Scott.
"By overriding my regulator to shrinking down into subatomic size to destroy the suit from the inside and Cross being shrunk down like a garbage compressor," Scott told them about how he ended Cross in their last fight, bringing some grim looks from the Loud family.
"So killing the new guy is out of the question," Lynn Jr shook her head.
"Now to figure out where he is hitting next," Lincoln added.
"The dude was kicked out of school for hacking into the school's computer and charging an easy buck for kids that wanted their grades changed. How about a bank?" Luna guessed since that's where Arnold will hit with the shrinking technology in his hands.
"Or a company?" Luan said.
"Or a jewelry store?" Leni suggested.
"With the suit affecting Arnold's mind, it's likely he'll do something else than stealing facinaces and a few diamonds," Hope said.
"The suit affecting Arnold's mind? What do you mean?" Lori asked. She, along with the family, had heard the doctor discussing the problem with the suit between Scott and Hope.
"The Yellowjacket was an imperfect replica of the Ant-Man suit. Darren spent years trying recrete the Pym Particles. It worked, but with drastic side-effects. The more time someone spends in the suit, the more insane they become," Hank explained the Yellowjacket technology to the family who have no knowledge behind the shrinking technology.
"Yikes," Lucy gasps grimly. "There's no telling where he could be or when he'll strike next."
"We gotta find Arnold quick," Hope declared.
"If you two are going to fight Mr. Sinclair, you're going to need some additional gear," Hank advised both Peter and Lincoln. He opens his briefcase to reveal two pairs of eye contacts. "These eye contacts can find anyone within a molecular level. I designed them just for this occasion," Hank handed a pair to both the heroes. Lincoln and Peter set them to their eyes; the white haired child was having trouble putting his contacts on.
"Time for a small test run," Hank smiles. On cue, Scott and Hope both shrink down. Lincoln and Peter looked around to find the heroes. The contacts gave them a radar sense and two blue lines swirling around the living room. It automatically zooms in on the tiny heroes hovering above the parents.
"There they are," Lincoln pointed them above mom and dad. Lynn Sr and Rita looked up where their son was pointing at before Scott and Hope shrink back to their original sizes, causing them to jump scared.
"Cool!" Lana grinned.
"Nice knee eye you got there, Lincoln!" Luan jokes, and Scott gives her a thumbs up in approval not looking Hope rolling her eyes.
"We may not be able to find them with our eyes, but with these contacts Parker and Loud have will allow them to follow the invisible Pym Particles flow," Hank nodded.
"Get your suit ready, Lincoln," Peter said to his friend. Lincoln went up the stairs with the brown haired man following to prepare for another mission.
"Hercules," Hank spoke, causing all eyes to glance at him. A slight laugh escaped from his lips. "Your boy likes the name."
"It's what he likes to cause himself since he wants to be like him," Rita told the man.
"Doesn't it bother you that your son is out there fighting the Avenger's mess rather than spending time with his family?" Hank asked the Loud family. The old man's first response to Hercules's appearances was bewilderment; what kind of family let's their kid run around fighting crime?
"Lincoln's brave when you get to know him, Hank. He's been a great help ever since Peter took him as his student," Scott smiled.
"I get what you're going to say, Dr. Pym. We worried every time Lincoln faced a bad guy and put himself in these situations. As his family, we have his back," Lori said, and the family nodded their heads to agree with what Lori was saying. Hank's features soften at how a kid's family can stick by his side when it comes with working with Spider-Man and the Avengers.
"Just take my advice; please spend some moments with your son before he goes on a mission," Hank advised, an unconditional sadness forming his expression. The family members agreed, but weren't sure why the old man meant it. Neither of them saw Scott and Hope's saddened expression. Questions will have to wait as Peter and Lincoln had suit up and the Loud family, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, The Wasp, and Hank went to Vanzilla to find Sinclair.
Vanzilla was on the road; Spider-Man had taken above the skies. By using Hank's microscopic contacts lens, Spider-Man went to find the Yellowjacket's movement.
"Keep finding him, Peter; Sinclair won't be too far from us," Hope spoke from her ear radio.
Spider-Man swings to the roof of the building and looks to his right. Landing on the roof, he viewed the skies to see if Yellowjacket had left some remaining invisible Pym Particles in the air. Despite Arnold being a first time user, he was lucky in not leaving any traces of him. Which left him worried if Hydra had something to the suit to erase any traces of the particles. Spider-Man went close to the edge to scan further, and saw a slight trace of blue lines.
"Got the trail! It's small, but it's heading east!" Spider-Man alerted the gang, and fired a web line to follow the path.
The trail leads Spider-Man to a dock; crouching down from a high crate, he glances at the area. It was empty. Vanzilla parked behind the crates to avoid being caught. Ant-Man and Wasp shrank down before appearing next to Spider-Man.
"Any sight of him?" Wasp asked. Hercules was on the low ground, looking at the dock station. The contacts in the boy's eyes saw the invisible Pym Particles flowing around the place.
"He was here," Hercules said, before running to another location. There were several dead security guards. The boy crouched down at one dead guard; his eyes were ghost blank, very similar to how the thief he and Spider-Man had caught died. Spider-Man hopped over to a crane to give himself an aerial point, right as he turned over his shoulders to see a large ship. Spider-Man swings himself to the ship.
Ant-Man and The Wasp both stand in front of the warehouse. All the guards are dead, and the dock workers are gone. Suspicious rose from both heroes.
"Dad, I don't like this. It's super quiet," Wasp said.
"Sinclair has gotta be inside; be alert."
"Dr. Pym, I'm heading inside the ship. Maybe somebody is hiding here," Spider-Man spoke, as he entered the ship's quarters.
"Scott, go with Mr. Parker. Hope, stay with the boy. Better chance you both have if one of your group encounters Sinclair."
Ant-Man ran up to the ship to join with Spider-Man while Hercules stayed behind with The Wasp. The Wasp shrank down and flew around the warehouse. Hercules followed her to the right side of the building. He spotted an open window and went inside. Hercules crouches down behind a maze of crates. The Wasp from above the ceiling. Hercules hides behind a spot to stare at their target.
Arnold was having the best day of his life. Taking the job that was meant for his father was an easy high ride. He's being pay for taking out some stupid kid in brooze armor while wearing this amazing suit that lets him shrink and kill people. His fight with the kid and that Spider-brat ended with a tie; Arnold fled from the police, though no one wasn't able to find him. Taking the advice from the stranger from the phone, he went around the city to have more fun, and that's why he was here. Killing the guards was easy; rounding up the dock workers was a bit rough so he had to scare them into going to the ship by force. Arnold had unlocked several of the crates to find paydirt; state-of-the-art weapons. Arnold was feeling lucky; by the time he was done cleaning out the warehouse, he'll make more money than his dad.
"Ha, who's the idiot now, dad?" Arnold huffed with a laugh. The four stringers ripped apart the crate door. He went inside to take out the prize behind it. Rocket launchers. Details of it look new. "How much will the guys back home pay for this beauty?" He asked himself.
"Five to fifteen," Arnold looked to see Hercules appearing behind with a glare.
"Oh, joy, the dork," He spat sarcastically. "Where's Spider-dork? He abandoned you" The Wasp then dropped down with her wings hovering her in mid-air. "Seems you upgraded your partner; how nice," He smiled, staring at her.
"Ok Arnold. Hand over the suit," The Wasp declared, making the villain frown.
"Finders keepers, lady," Arnold argued, threatening to use the weapon to blast them away.
"It's affecting your mind; the longer you use it, the more danger you are in."
"You think I'm ready to give up this suit that easily? I'm sick and tired of being pushed around by people like you," Arnold glares at the suit, his four stringers emitting an energy pulse. Hercules separated from The Wasp to give himself a distance. "You two are going to have to take this suit from your cold dead hands!" The helmet is activated to cover Arnold's face, and Yellowjacket screams as he fires the energy pulse at Hercules.
Hercules dodges as The Wasp swings her right kick at Yellowjacket. Yellowjacket blocked her kick and threw her off. The Wasp shrank down to avoid the energy pulses being fired. The pulses wreck some of the crates; Yellowjacket is punched across the face and repeatedly at the torso. Growling angrily, Yellowjacket shrinks down before zooming in at The Wasp. Hercules saw the fight going on from Hank's microscopic contact lenses; blue lines swirling in around. He felt defenlessly since he didn't have a shrinking device to help The Wasp.
"Lincoln, what's going on?!"
Hearing Lisa's voice, Hercules called "We found Arnold! Hope is fighting him! He doesn't want to give up the suit!"
"Lincoln, me and Scott found the dock workers! They're saved!"
Arnold, back to his original size, is slammed to the ground after a body slammed is delivered by The Wasp. His entire body is then covered with web.
Ant-Man and Spider-Man appeared on the scene, with the male hero declaring "That was easy! Hank, we got him!"
"Should have given us the suit before I had to force you," The Wasp said. Yellowjacket then chuckles, bringing confusion from the four heroes.
"You really thought it was that easy?" Yellowjacket mocked. The sound of doors breaking alarmed the heroes. Dozens of the dock workers Spider-Man and Ant-Man both free just now, are here.
"Uh, guys, you all shouldn't be here!" Spider-Man spoke to the victims. None of them spoke. His eyes then widened when he saw there was the similar blue aura surrounding the dock workers. His Spider senses trigger before he could say a word to his comrades, as he avoided a crowbar near his head.
"Whoa, what's going on?!" Ant-Man shouted in disbelief. The dock workers charge at them. Yellowjacket broke free of his webbing and flew up.
"I forgot to mention this, but when I was rounding the dock workers, I had a little accident with the suit. One of them shoved me and a serum from the suit dropped. It must have spilled on the guy's uniform. I placed it back inside like it was no big deal," Yellowjacket spoke to the heroes, watching from above as the dock workers attacked them.
"My god, they're affected by the Pym Particles!" The Wasp cried, avoiding a chain thrown.
Ant-Man shrunk down to hit one dock worker on the chest. Spider-Man immediately fires a webline at the ceiling to give himself momentum and slam one worker on the face. The Wasp took the chain from the worker she was fighting and threw it back at him. Hercules grabbed two workers to throw them at several crates. Several of the screaming dock workers armed themselves with broken boards as weapons. Spider-Man slid across one and slammed both of his feets at his back to send him to the other room.
Yellowjacket fired an energy pulse at Hercules, knocking him to the ground. This allowed the dock workers to hit him with their own weapons. Hercules slams one dock worker by an uppercut; Ant-Man and The Wasp knock out a couple of them to help Hercules up. Seeing Yellowjacket on top, Hercules grabs the chain from the ground and throws it at the ceiling bar to climb up.
Yellowjacket flew forward to grab Hercules; Hercules jumped to another ceiling bar. Shrinking down, he gained some punches at the boy. Hercules was swinging punches in the air; the contacts were showing where he was, but not enough to know where he'll land. Hercules walked backwards, getting frustrated.
"Don't let him get inside your head, Lincoln!" Luna cried from his ear radio.
Spotting Yellowjacket coming in close, Hercules slam both of his hands together to smash him. Yellowjacket shrink back to end up getting his head slam instead, with the helmet being damage in the process. Hercules punches him in the helmet. The top two stingers fire a quick pulse beam at the boy's right gauntlet, causing it to leave a burn mark. Yellowjacket fired more energy pulses to leave burn marks at Hercules' armor. His stringers are then caught by two web lines that made him fired at the ceilings; Spider-Man hopped down to help Ant-Man and The Wasp fight the insane dock workers. Hercules ran at Yellowjacket to grab one of his stingers. He punches Yellowjacket a couple of times.
"Enough!" Yellowjacket roared, flying above the hole he had caused. Hercules crushes one of the stingers before being zapped by one of them. He falls on the roof. "I'm going to kill you even if I have to go inside and oberlated your brain!" The stringer that Hercules crushed was fully damaged; no worries, he has three more to take care of that.
The boy got up as soon as Yellowjacket went microsphic to send a punch at his face. Hercules grunted after being kicked in the back to send him on the ground. He was then lifted by the leg and brought back down a few times; his face hitting the payment. Right as he was about to do it again, Yellowjacket picked up Ant-Man and The Wasp's movements in microscopic forms coming from where he was. The Wasp had carried Ant-Man till he was close to Yellowjacket. Letting go and quickly shrinking back, Ant-Man slammed both of his feets at Yellowjacket's right side to let Hercules go. The Wasp flew by to send a flying kick at his left shoulder. Growling, the three stringers fired multiple yellow pulses at The Wasp. The Wasp dodges the blast, and shrinking down, sends a powerful punch at one of the bottom singers, breaking it in half.
"No!" Yellowjacket shouted, seeing another one destroyed. The pre-teen was more mad; his target was all of the three heroes. He sent his two remaining stringers at both Ant-Man and The Wasp. Ant-Man had to shrink down to join with Wasp to avoid the pulses, and distracting Yellowjacket. Now was Hercules's chance. Starting in a runner back position, Hercules charges with both hands to swing at Yellowjacket's chest. This damages the suit, and the stringers backfire. He couldn't shrink down anymore to avoid Hercules kicking him that staggered him to fall back inside. Yellowjacket screamed as he was close to hitting the floor, but a webline from Spider-Man in his right leg had caught him. Spider-Man dropped down to greet the captured villain.
"You're lucky you haven't been introduced to a bug zapper," Spider-Man jokes. The dock workers were all knocked out. Ant-Man, The Wasp and Hercules joined in. Both Ant-Man and The Wasp checked the dock workers who were exposed by the Pym Particles. To their relief, it was only temporary. The Wasp walked over to the defeated Yellowjacket to remove the Pym Particles from his suit.
"Hank, it's done. We have him in custody," Ant-Man spoke.
"Excellent. Now to have a talk with the second Yellowjacket."
Hank and the Loud family arrived at the scene, facing Arnold Sinclair. Hank spoke to the boy with a stern look, "You stole a very dangerous suit, young man. Any time longer and you would have been unstable."
"Piss off, old man," Arnold grunted behind the helmet.
"Hey, we know Hydra got the suit and the job offer was supposed to be your dad. Who was the caller?" Hercules demanded.
"I don't know!"
"Listen kid, these guys you're working for are terrorists. You're putting yourself in harm's way by protecting them. Cooperate with us, and we'll see we can offer you protection," Hope advises the kid to give up the name of the caller.
Suddenly, the gang heard of helicopters appearing from outside.
"Damn it, Stark!" Hank curses, thinking the arrogant man went back on his word.
"Nick, we told you to back off! Call off the helicopters!" Spider-Man shouted in his ear radio.
"What are you talking about? I didn't authorize any copters!"
The roof exploded several times; the Loud family were pushed away to take cover. Smoke Bombs enter to cover the entire warehouse. The heroes couldn't see who was attacking; they heard a cry that Hope recognized.
"Dad!"
Scott and Peter were aimless to find the men behind the secret attack. Lincoln stayed where he was, alarmed. The sound of webbing made him move forward to grab the assailants, only to meet the floor. The helicopter roared again, clearing all the smoke from inside. Yellowjacket was gone from his holding. Hope was helping her father back on his feet.
"Are you alright, Hank?" Scott asked the old man with worry.
"I'm fine. I was shoved to the floor. Tell me you still have it," Hank told Scott he was ok and asked his daughter if the Pym Particles are secure. To his relief, Hope showed him the serum. The Loud family came out of their hiding and went to Lincoln.
"You guys ok?" Lincoln asked his family, and they gave positive responses.
"Looks like your assassin got away," Lynn Jr said, looking up at the ceiling.
"But we got the Pym Particles; he won't be able to use the suit without it," Lincoln added, pointing out the mission wasn't a failure. On the other hand, they were interrupted by the unexpected arrival of a helicopter and Yellowjacket being taken.
Nick and The Avengers aren't going to like this.
Back at the Loud House, Peter, Lincoln, Hank, Scott, and Hope informed The Avengers about their second encounter with Yellowjacket and their failure of retrieving the suit and getting valid information about Hydra in Lisa's webchat.
"Despite the combined efforts of Hank, Lang, and Van Dyne, the Yellowjacket ended up escaping, this time with the help of Hydra," Nick furrowed his eyebrows in disappointment. The Avengers were assembled in the meeting room to talk about Ant-Man and The Wasp teaming up with Hank Pym, Spider-Man, and Hercules in battling Yellowjacket.
"At least they got the Pym Particles," Steve said, who wasn't disappointed in how the mission went. As long as they got the serum to work the Yellowjacket, then Sinclair won't use it again.
"That makes two assassins who are now in league with Hydra," Sam added, sighing in disbelief.
"Plus dozens of workers in the hospital with visible concussions thanks to being exposed by the particles," Stark mentions.
"I'm taking this with me," Hank gestures at the serum in his hands. "As long as Hydra can't get their hands on it, we won't be seeing Mr. Sinclair anytime soon."
"For now," Nick spoke. "Hydra will be working overtime in trying to recreate your formula, Hank. I take precautions around your surroundings. Parker, Lang, Van Dyne, returned to base."
The webchat went off, and two portals then opened up in the room; one for Scott, Hope, and Peter to return to headquarters and the other was for Hank to return home.
"Thanks for helping me and Peter, guys," Lincoln said to both Scott and Hope. The two heroes smiled at the boy.
"Anytime, bud; it was great working with you," Scott patted him on the back. Hope ruffles the boy's white hair.
"See you again, Lincoln," Hope said, and she and Scott turned to Hank. The family sensed it was an awkward moment for the three.
"It was nice working together, Hank. I wish we could do it again," Scott said, trying to make light of this.
"Me too," Hank said; he wasn't frowning, but he wasn't showing any emotions. Hope went to hug her dad, only it was a short hug.
"Bye dad. Me and Scott will visit you," She said.
"It's no problem."
Both Scott and Hope went inside the portal. Peter says his byes to the family and fistbump Lincoln before heading in. The portal closed. Hank stood in front of the Loud family, and then at Lincoln.
"Mr. Loud, I hope we can work again in the future," Hank spoke professionally to the hero.
"You too, Dr. Pym," Lincoln shook the old man's hand, almost bringing him to a laugh.
"Come back and visit us if you're in the mood," Lisa said, as she too shook the man while controlling her fangirlism.
Nodding his head, Hank then added "Just remember what I said of making moments like this last forever, because they'll be gone one day," The old man walked into the portal and it closed.
"That was weird," Luan remarked.
"I wonder what he meant to make moments last forever," Leni said, confused.
"Probably it's that old wisdom that Pop-pop always says to us," Lynn Jr answered.
"If we're done talking to the Avengers, I'm starving," Lana announces. Lynn Sr prepares to cook some hamburgers. The family left to resume their normal activities, leaving behind Lincoln with his thoughts.
He thought back to what Hank meant by making moments last with his family like it was going to be his last and the awkwardness around him, his daughter and Scott. Pushing those aside for now, the white haired boy felt a burden being heaved on his shoulders. Two assassins have been recruited by Hydra to take down Lincoln, both of them are the same age as him. One was a mutant and the other was in possession of a shrinking suit.
"Looks like things are going to get more troublesome than they already are," Lincoln spoke to the fourth wall. "Hydra is moving forward with more assassins coming. Two of them are already on my trail. I don't know what's going to happen in the future; whatever they're planning, I'm going to be ready," He declares with both of his fists clutching.
Back in San Francisco, Hank was resting in his private room. The old man was on his recliner with a thoughtful look. Hank never shows it when greeting his byes with Scott and his daughter, but he felt glad to be working with them like last time before they decided to join S.H.I.E.L.D. It hurt Hank inside, and things haven't been friendly with the three of them. Today he got to work with them, along with Spider-Man and Hercules. The mention of Hercules flowed around his head; he was still cautious of the family letting their son join the Avengers, despite what he can do. Now Hydra has their sights on the kid, and he has a feeling the danger is going to grow more everyday. That's why he told the Loud family to spend every moment with the boy before he goes on a dangerous mission that could very well be his last.
He then picked up a picture frame which turned out to be him, his daughter, and his late wife. He sighed "Oh Jane, if only you were here right now to comfort me in this time of crisis."
The slide door opened, and Arnold Sinclar, Jr entered the room with a sour expression. He was wearing his casual clothes instead of the shrinking suit. The guys that saved him back at Royal Woods removed the suit. Arnold muttered, looking around the room "Where the hell am I?"
"Hi ya!" He pauses to see a girl with light orange hair and grey eyes. "So you're the new guy who's after the kid, huh? Name's Dawn," Arnold stared at her with a big frown, not understanding what a girl was doing here.
"Arnold," He said back.
"Let me guess, you got your ass handed to you by Littlcules? Same here."
"Where's the boss?"
The monitor on the big screen started on by itself. Both assassins stood in front of it. The screen was showing a radio frequency wave.
"Welcome, children," The person behind the monitor said. "It's time we finally meet."
"You're the chief? Where the hell are you?" Dawn asked with a snort.
"I'm broadcasting to you on a private line. Let me first say congratulations on being chosen by Hydra. I know your mission in terminating Hercules wasn't a success, but quite the opposite. The suits you all wore had a small camera hidden to capture every movement Hercules had made. I have gathered plenty of research to finally take him down."
"But why? What's the whole point in all this?" Arnold asked, getting impatient.
"Patient, Arnold. One day, the two of you will fight the boy again. Right now, you must be educated to fit right in. Your teacher will be showing you the ropes," The broadcast ended.
Both Arnold and Dawn heard a sliding door open. Appearing inside was a tall robot. Both assassins thought this was a training robot for them to take down, until they saw the screen on its torso and the radio waves forming into a man with glasses.
"Children, my name is Dr. Arnim Zola, and today you will learn how to be Hydra soldiers," The man with the Swiss accent spoke.
And that ends HercuLOUD season one! Two assassins have been recruited and Dr. Arnim Zola is going to be teaching them the basics of Hydra. By now, you're already know who's the other guy that recruited both Dawn and Arnold. I don't know when season two will be posted. Probably somewhere in 2022. I hope you all enjoyed the story. If you have any ideas what you want season two to be about, put it in your review or message me. I know everyone is waiting for chapter 21 of Muskoka High: Plus Ultra. Please wait, just until I have a new laptop and mouse for my iPad. I was going to buy a brand new laptop, but my brother didn't want me to spend more money, which he has a point since I haven't worked for over a month. I hope everyone has a safe holiday in the last weeks of the year; it's going to be really cold, especially with Covid. See you all later till next time! And check out my fanworks in Deviantart if you can. NiteOwl18 out!
