Author's Note

I haven't update for a while, sorry about that. I have been quite busy and getting not as motivated lately. The song this time is Door of Dreams. Quite a decent song.

Anyway, I'll try to see if I can get myself off being like... in half hiatus status.

Chapter 40: Suites, Yume's Trauma

After Angely Stars finishes their performance, Hibiki and others move to the changing room.

Hibiki "Angely Stars… they perform so well together."

Ako "Yeah, for five people to do so well together. No wonder they are all top idols."

Ellen "Yeah, however…"

Everyone looks at each other and Kanade says "We won't go down without a fight!"

Hibiki "Yeah! Let's go!"

The other three "Yeah!"

All four of them begin running down towards their own changing device. Everyone dresses up by using the Precure cards. After changing, they jump onto the stage together.

As the music begins, Hibiki starts "The notes of dreams,"

Kanade continues the next part "When you are looking for it,"

Ellen "I will always be there with you,"

Ako then finishes the first verse "So you are not alone."

Everyone together "Remember this feeling of loving the melodies. So that you'll always hear it. with a loud voice, let's sing this harmony."

Afterward, music plays for a while and they all emit their aura.

Hibiki then continues "There are times I'm starting to hate myself."

Kanade continues "But when everyone smiles, it's like they accept me."

Ellen sings the next part "Each time at the important moment, you are always around."

Ako "Sometimes I act like a child, but you forgive me."

After a moment, Hibiki and Kanade sing "If you always going to act selfish, you will always going regret it."

Ellen and Ako "But if you always smile like usual, your precious friends will smile together with you."

Then all four together "The door of dreams, the moment when opens, we will be there holding hands with you. Never forget the feeling of being connected. Matching the rhythm of the melody and deliver this harmony."

Afterward, they start their special appeal. They turn towards each other and everyone materializes their own conducting baton in front of them. They point is towards the center and an energy sphere forms and lunches upward. They separate from each other a bit and all perform a 3/4 conducting hand motion. In the end, the sphere falls down and explodes with many glittering notes with all four of them jumping into the air. After the appeal, they finish up the rest of their performance.

After their performance, they return to their waiting room.

Hibiki "That was amazing! I never thought the four of us can make such an amazing performance together!"

Kanade "Yeah, I feel like… our performance might even be S4 worthy."

Ako "Yeah, I never thought we could do it."

Ellen nods "Yeah, I didn't think we are actually able to do it either. Also our special appeal, that was much better than when we practiced."

Hibiki "Yeah, but since it ends well, let's just celebrate over it!"

Kanade nods and a moment after, someone knocks on the door. Everyone looks at the door.

Hibiki answers "Come in."

The one opening the door is Suzu with Yurina right behind her.

Suzu "Everyone, that was really good. Especially Kanade, you are the best!"

Yurina then comments "Yeah, but Hibiki and others did great too."

Suzu thinks for a moment "Hibiki… I don't remember her performance at all."

Hibiki screams at Suzu "What do you mean? We were on the stage together!"

Suzu sighs "I guess someone without a good head just can't comprehend it."

Hibiki "Ahhh! I can't stand it! You asked for it!"

Hibiki and Suzu begin to wrestle against each other while staring at each other.

Yurina makes a dry laugh "Haha… Well, everyone really is amazing."

Yume then walks up behind the open door "Don't worry, I think everyone here is amazing. Also, don't forget about the Floral Idol Event."

Yurina turns around "Ah! That's right! Yume, I'm working on a new song and I'm sure I'll make it next time!"

Hibiki turns around and looks at Yurina.

Hibiki then moves closer "Really? Me too!"

Yume then claps her hands "That's great, I'm sure the two of you will be able to become one."

Rola adds "Maybe the two of you can be like rivals and friends. Just like Yume and I."

Yurina and Hibiki look at each other for a bit.

Ellen "That's probably a good idea. I notice that Yurina can get really competitive sometimes. You two might end up helping each other to become a Floral Idol."

After a while, Hibiki and Yurina smile at each other. They nod against each other.

Hibiki "Alright, let's do it!"

Yurina "Sure! Then it's time to do some training!"

Yurina runs off with Hibiki yells out "Ah! No fair!"

Hibiki runs off while chasing Yurina.

Kanade looks at the door "Jees, they don't have to rush."

Ako "Well, either way, at least I'm sure their new song should be good."

Yume nods "I agree, but there is something else they still need."

Ellen then notices "Ah, a new dress that can go with the new song."

Kanade "Well, Hibiki should be fine. Maybe she'll find someone"

Ako nods "That's true, I'm more worried about Yurina."

Yume then thinks for a bit and nods "Alright, I think I can help her. You three look after Hibiki. I think she'll be fine, but she might still run into a few trouble."

The three of them nods and Yume then looks at Ellen and Ako "You two should probably try getting a new song and a dress."

Yume begins to walk out "Arlight, then I will go see if I can help her."

Later that day, Yume meets up with Koharu.

Koharu "Yume, are you doing alright? Lately during your practice..."

Yume answers "Yeah, I'm alright. I just need some time. Besides that, I want to ask something."

Koharu wonders "What is it?"

Yume asks "You remember that one girl Yurina right? Do you think you can design a dress that can help her?"

Koharu smiles "Of course, I was actually a little frustrated that last dress ended up not being able to help her achieve it. To be honest, I actually thought up a design for her already and it's going to be amazing."

Yume "Great, then let's make it and give it to her!"

Koharu looks at Yume "Yume, you know this will be two consecutive Premium Rare Dress given to her. People may start to think she may be the next Muse."

Yume realizes what Koharu means and answers as if she had prepared for it "I'll let Yurina become the next Muse."

Koharu questions "Yume! Then does that mean you'll stay with the other brand?"

Yume shakes her head "No, I plan on creating another new brand. A brand that is similar to Rainbow Strawberry Parfait and Dream Star. A brand that everyone one can wear, but at the same time, the premium rare… no, maybe something greater than a premium rare dress for the real top idols."

Koharu then asks "You mean something like the Sun Dress?"

Yume thinks for a moment "Something like that, but Sun Dress was given by the system. So once again, can I ask you to help me? Koharu…"

Yume asks while looking fully aware of how absurd her request is. Koharu looks at Yume for a while but then sighs with acceptance.

Koharu answers "Okay, I'll do it. But are you sure you are okay? You have a live performance tomorrow. Lately, when you are practicing by yourself…"

Yume forces a smile "It's okay, I'll get over this wall myself. After all, there is someone who was in a similar situation and she got over it. There is no way I'm going to lose here!"

Koharu still looks worried but decides to trust Yume's word "Alright, but if you really need help, please let me… No, everyone knows. I'm sure we'll be able to help you."

Yume nods "Alright, then let's start with the dress!"

Koharu blocks Yume as she is about to walk into the design room.

Yume questions "Why?"

Koharu looks at Yume in the eye closely "You need to be focusing on tomorrow's live!"

Yume "Ehh? But…"

Koharu "No buts! What happens if tomorrow's performance goes wrong? This is your first solo stage since you came back!"

Yume "Koharu… What's wrong? You are acting really different today."

Koharu looks surprised and after a moment of silence, she answers "I'm just happy you are back and I don't want to see you leave again like last time."

Yume waited a moment before smiling "Alright, I won't suddenly disappear again."

Yume the stretches "Alright, then I guess I'll go and try to overcome it."

Koharu "Eh? Yu...me?"

Yume "Ah, don't worry, I'm serious. Anyway, I'll be going now, later!"

Yume runs off while Koharu looks a little concerned.

The next day morning, Yume is walking around inspecting her underclassman.

Yume mutters to herself "So this is what Rola had been doing. The job of an admin really is tougher than it seems. Hmm?"

As Yume looks around, she sees Yurina and Hibiki training together. Yume decides to watch them for a bit.

Yurina points out to Hibiki "Hibiki, you need to stop leaning forward like that. Your dance will be better if you can fix your center of balance."

Hibiki "Ah, I made the same mistake again. It's so hard to switch the balance back. Ah, right! Yurina, during this part…"

Hibiki then plays back the song they were practicing on and she stops at a certain part "Over here when you sing this part, you are not breathing in enough for the rest of the lyric."

Yurina cries out "I know already! It's just… I feel like my lung capacity just isn't improving. I probably need some other training that is more than just running."

Yume couldn't help but give them a hand and walks in "In that case, there is something that can help you two."

Yurina and Hibiki "Eh?"

Yume smiles and takes them away from the practice room.

They went to the running field with all three of them wearing a stiff and heavy coat and pants.

Hibiki "Wha… What is this!"

Yurina "Heavy… It's so hard to move! Could this be..."

Yume nods while moving normally "yes it is. Though these clothes is an improved version that weighs 60 kilo."

Hibiki "60? This is insane!"

Yurina "But this definitely will help… both of us."

While pointing that out, Yurina almost lost balance. Meanwhile, Hibiki is spreading her feet to stand still.

Hibiki looks at Yurina "I know, but still… isn't this a bit too much?"

Yume thinks for a moment "Maybe, but once you get used to it, it'll definitely help. Even though it's hard, once you start, it'll be a little easier."

Yume then starts jogging at only a slightly slower pace than usual.

Hibiki "No way, Yume is really running like that."

Yurina "Yeah, it's really surprising."

Hibiki "Alright, let's not lose! Yurina, let's go!"

Yurina "Yeah!"

The two of them begin to jog and hoping to at least follow Yume. However, before they knew, Yume already finished one lap. Both of them do their best and tries their best to pick up the pace.

Afterward, Yume calls it an end "Alright, that's enough. Any more and you two would be pushing yourself too much. Next time, we can set up some obstacle and it'll be even better training."

Yurina "Obstacles?"

Hibiki "Fine, bring it on!"

Yume looks at the two of them and remembers her time with Rola during their freshman year.

Yume thinks "These two, it's a bit different but they remind me of Rola and I. Rola kept walking her own path and even manage to beat me last time. I… can't help but wonder if I can return to the path I was walking on."

Yume then looks at the Four Star Academy emblem that is on the main building.

Hibiki looks at Yume and asks "What's wrong?"

Yume snaps back "Ah, no nothing. I still have more jobs to do. I'll see you two later."

Later that day, Hibiki and Yurina continue to train together in one of the training rooms. However, they soon hear loud footsteps in the hall and their door opens. They look at the person and it is Kanade.

Kanade rushes in "Hibiki! Yurina! There is trouble!"

Both of them "What is it?"

Kanade "Today on Yume's stage, she suddenly stops singing in the middle of her song and her performance got canceled!"

Both of them again "Ehhh?"

At the same time, Yume is in the car on her way back to the academy.

She puts her hand on her chest "I… need to get it together. Otherwise, the real failure of an idol is… me."
