Author's Note

This ended up taking longer than I want but I think I did write what I want to write quite well this time. The song this time is Melody Flag. The song is a little hard to find but it's definitely on youtube as well.

By the way, I'm thinking of getting someone to help me with editing this story. If anyone feels like they are up to the task, please message me.

Chapter 41: Coupling, Delphinium Floral Idol!

When Yume returns to Four Star Academy, the Suite Precure and S4 along with Kohaku, Yurina, and Suzu.

Rola walks up to Yume as she gets off the car "Yume!"

Yume looks at Rola and forces a smile "I'm back."

Everyone looks surprised and Hibiki walks up as well "Yume uhmm… You see, we heard what happened on your stage today."

Yume looks surprised for a moment and switches to a wry smile "I see, that's kind of embarrassing."

Rola immediately gets angry "Yume! That's enough! Did you give up your position because you knew that would happen?"

Yume looks surprised and when she is about to answer, Ellen cuts into the conversation.

Ellen "Rola, please don't be too hard on Yume. I told you about me before right? The truth is, my situation was the same."

Rola looks at Ellen and sighs.

She looks back at Yume "Alright, sorry. Take your time but hurry up. Now I know this, there is no way I'm keeping my position in S4 now."

Yurina then steps forward a bit "Uhmm, Yume… I don't know what happened, but good luck! I'm sure you will be alright!"

Yume waited for a moment before answering "Thanks…"

Yume's stomach then growls.

Ako sighs "Jees, I guess that just had to happen."

Yume tries to laugh it off and says "I guess it just happened. Sorry, I haven't eaten anything yet."

Hibiki then looks at Yurina "That reminds me, we haven't eaten either."

Mahiru "You two, there is no reason that the two of you couldn't find time to eat."

Yurina "Well, we were training the whole time and…"

Hibiki "After we heard what happened… we just didn't get the chance."

Kanade sighs "I understand Hibiki but Yurina, you too?"

Yurina "Hahaha, sorry. But at least I think I'm ready."

Yume then asks "Uhmm, can we continue while we eat?"

Yurina, Hibiki, and Kanade "Ah…"

Rola "Alright, then let's head to the cafeteria."

In the cafeteria, Yume finds a table filled with food and most of them are her favorite.

Yume "This is… Everyone…"

Koharu "Rola is the one who thought of this."

Yume looks at Rola while looking wanting to cry a little "Rola…"

Rola looks away "This is nothing, I just thought this would help."

She then looks back at Yume "After all, we can't have you being unable to perform anymore."

Yume nods "Then I really need to get back on my feet."

S4 Ako asks "Do you know how to get over your problem?"

Yume thinks for a while "No, not really. But if I just keep up with my Aikatsu, maybe I'll find it."

Kanade "Well, that's enough of that. This party is to help re-energize Yume. So why don't we get it started?"

Hibiki, Ellen, Yuzu, and Yurina "Agree!"

Everyone then starts enjoying the small party. Just when Yume starts to forget about her trouble, the door opens. Everyone looks over and sees Subaru.

Subaru "Ahh, jees. It already started? I can't believe I am late."

Yume runs over and asks "You came too? Thanks! That makes me happy!"

Subaru immediately turns red and looks away "This is nothing, besides, I got you something."

Subaru takes out a keychain with Rainbow Berry Parfait's mascot koala.

Yume receives it carefully and takes a close look "This is…"

Subaru "I got someone to make it. I thought this will at least cheer you up a bit."

Yume "Thanks! But why?"

Subaru "That's…"

Mahiru couldn't stand it and scold Subaru "Ah, that's enough. Subaru, if you don't let Yume know as straight forward as possible, she'll never get it. Just like before, when she misunderstands you can think the two of you are rivals."

Subaru thinks for a moment and Yume says "Rival? Ah, was it that time? It wasn't about being rivals?"

Rola steps forward "See? I think it's time you made it clear to Yume."

Subaru sighs "I guess I won't get a better chance anyways."

He turns towards Yume "Yume, what I said before wasn't about being a rival. The truth is, I want to go out with you."

Yume looks dumb funded "Eh?"

Subaru then continues "Ever since we met. Every moment is just exciting and before I knew, I started feeling this way."

Yume then waves her hands to stops Subaru "Wait wait, you mean… You want to… date me?"

Yume points at herself and Subaru nods.

Yume then continues pointing and asks "Like in… You would be my boyfriend and I'll be your girlfriend?"

Subaru nods again "Yes."

Yume froze "Eh? That's what you wanted?"

Subaru embarrassingly answers "Well, not right away. I wanted to get more famous like you before we date. Though I am somewhat more famous now but still… You went ahead and did a world tour already."

Yume turns around and held her head in confusion "Wait, so this whole time… and even after that, I… Ahh!"

Then the little Ako says "Sounds like it went well."

Hibiki then pokes Subaru "Sounds like you got yourself a girlfriend."

Subaru and Yume look at her "Eh?"

S4 Ako then says "Well, as much as I don't like this. It doesn't seem like Yume plan to reject it."

Yume looks at Ako "Wait…"

Rola then joins in "True, If I don't want to go out with that person, I would've rejected him right there."

Yume turns to Rola "Even Rola…"

Ellen then comments "Well, what do you want? If you aren't sure what to do, why not just give him a chance?"

Yume listens to Ellen and looks at Subaru "What I want… Why did this have to happen?"

Koharu smiles and claps her hand together "Then that settles it. Yume, congratulation."

Yume looks at Koharu with teary eyes "Koharu as well… Ahh, fine."

Yume points at Subaru "I'll be your girlfriend. However, we are done if you do anything stupid!"

Subaru waited for a moment before cheers in excitement "Yes!"

Kanade makes wry smiles "I guess that turned out well? Uhmm, Yurina, what are you doing?"

Yurina is on her phone typing and turns around "Oh, all these helped me thought up some changes I can do for my song. I haven't gotten any chance for a new dress so this is the best I can do besides my practice."

Yume then remembers "Oh! About that, Koharu!"

Everyone wonders what they are up to and Koharu turns to Yurina "Yurina, after discussing with Yume, we'll be giving you our next Premium Rare Dress."

The S4 Ako then jumps in "Hold on, then that means it is the second dress she is getting from the brand. That's almost as if…"

Koharu nods "We know."

Yume scratches her head lightly "Actually, I plan on withdrawing from being the Muse. However, this isn't due to my problem right now. I actually want to start another brand. Actually, I might change Dream Star instead."

No one could say anything until Rola says "seriously, I never heard of an idol as crazy as you. First, you changed the name of your brand. You then run off and starting a new one. Now you are back, you plan on leaving your first brand and rebranding the second one."

Koharu nods "Yeah, but since the final decision has mostly come down to me now. I want to make sure the next Muse is at least a Floral Idol."

Yurina blinks for a bit "Does that mean Rainbow Strawberry Parfait's next muse could be… me?"

Yume looks at Yurina and nods with a big smile "Yep!"

Yurina "No way, so if I become a Floral Idol…"

Yume "You'll become the next muse."

Yurina "I… I'll do my best!"

Hibiki goes over "You are so lucky! I haven't even got the faintest idea what brand I could use and here you are, becoming the next muse of such a big brand."

Yurina "Haha, I couldn't believe I am getting such a chance too."

She looks at Yume and Koharu "I'll definitely do my best and become a Floral Idol!"

Yume nods and Koharu says "Then come over in 3 days, the dress will be ready."

Yume thinks and says "Then we can set a stage while at it. Yurina, are you ready?"

Yurina nods "Yes!"

Yume "Great, then we will look forward to your performance in 3 days."

Yurina "Yes, I definitely won't fail!"

Ellen "Well, this sure has become an eventful party."

Hibiki "Either way, we should get the party going!"

With a shout, everyone begins enjoying their time and Yume is able to forget about her failure completely. However, Subaru becomes more attentive to Yume and that creeps her out a bit. In the end, they decide to take a photo together.

During the next three days, Yurina is training hard and with her new song finalized, she had gotten help from everyone as well. Then finally, it is the day where her dress would be ready and it is a few hours before her performance.

Yurina "Alright, I think I'm all ready. Time to go!"

While Yurina is close to the stadium where she will perform, a man walks up to her. They are at the back and Yurina wasn't expecting to run into anyone. He is dressed slightly unusual with a half-open shirt and wearing sunglasses even though it is slightly cloudy.

The man "Hmm, aren't you the girl who will be performing today?"

Yurina feels a little freaked out a bit but still answers "Yes, today is the day I challenge to become a Floral Idol."

He looks at Yurina closely "Floral Idol, I see. Maybe I'll check it out."

Yurina "Ah, I don't think there will be any tickets left right now. If you want to see it, here."

Yurina gives him one of the spare tickets and he receives it.

He seems impressed "Hoo, Shizu Yurina. You know how to promote yourself pretty well don't you. Now I got a ticket, I'll see your performance."

Yurina smiles "Thanks! I have to go and get ready. I hope you will enjoy my live!"

Yurina runs off and the man watches her from behind.

He takes off his sunglasses and looks at the ticket "Let's see how this world's idol perform. The boss made it sounds like they are very good but… If that girl could become a Floral Idol, then they aren't much of an idol."

After saying so, he teleports away.

While Yurina is in the waiting room, Koharu enters "Yurina, I got your dress here."

Koharu gives Yurina and says "This is Rainbow Steps Coord. It uses several rainbow laces straps over the dress and it will appear more gallant with your song. The layers on the dress with each other was hard to balance. However, I think this is the dress that you need right now."

Yurina nods "Thanks! This dress is absolutely amazing!"

Yume comes over and checks on Yurina "Oh, are you ready? There isn't much time until your stage."

Yurina "Yes! Is what I would like to say but… I'm a little nervous. This is also a song I think I personally have a lot of feeling with. However… Uhm, do you mind listening to me practicing now?"

Yume shakes her head "No, if that's the case, just put all your feeling into your song while on the stage. Just let everything out and sing to your heart content. After all, that's what's most important when singing."

Yurina "I see, then maybe some tips?"

Yume smiles "Of course!"

Both Yume and Koharu start giving Yurina a few tips to help her and before they knew, a staff came knocking on the door.

Staff "Yurina, it's time to get ready!"

Yurina stands up "Yes!"

She looks back at Yume and Koharu who was sitting next to her "Then I'm off!"

Yume and Koharu "Do your best!"

While in the changing room, Yurina holds her new dress close to her.

Yurina "This time for sure, I'll become a Floral Idol! Shizu Yurina, chasing the rainbow!"

Yurina runs forwards and changes into her new dress. When Yurina jumps onto the stage, the music begins to play with the stage half-lit. Then combine with the song's beat, the light comes in full and Yurina begins emitting her aura.

Yurina sings soon after "It's going through within the winds, I'm gonna find a new destination, and I'm gonna walk gently. The streaming tears you shed when you stumbled. The gaze of those eyes was sharpened and deepened."

Yurina then jumps forward and her aura shines brighter "Our future goes on forever. Eternally, sometimes I get scared. Being farther than we are now, make your voice be heard. To the open sky with a flag in our hand, to our tomorrow!"

While Yurina is singing, the man from before is watching while commenting "Hmm, maybe this world's idol is a bit better than I thought. This will be interesting."

Yurina continues her stage "These thoughts will transcend time. I'm going to be the lightning that guides someone's dreams. Don't get lost, just keep going. In the end, there will be one. Halfway down the road. I'll meet you here at the appointed time. Let's go look for it and we'll find it."

Yurina starts her own special appeal. She hops around the water surface and she suddenly jumps high and the water particles create a large rainbow behind her. Yurina then follows up with Swift Appeal and she falls through the water. While in the water, she sees the reflection of her normal self. Her other self pulls herself through the reflection and she wears her Floral Idol dress with Delphinium petal patterns on her lace straps and at the bottom of her dress layers. Yurina notices her success and smiles. She begins singing even better than before and ends her performance on a high note.

As the stage comes to an end, Yume mutters "You did it. Yurina, I leave this brand in your hand."

Koharu then looks at Yume "Don't worry, I'll help her any way I can. So you go do what you want to do, Yume. If it is Yume, I'm sure you can achieve no other idol can possibly do."

Yume looks at Koharu "Thanks! Now we have half of the Floral Idol. I wonder who else will become one? It's exciting just to think about it!"

Koharu nods "Yeah!"
