Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover
A couple of months later, I was on the field working a case alone. And that was a accomplishment because it meant that I was finally accepted as a full fledged member of the team. I had gathered all my evidence and got back into the trunk and turned the ignition.
And the ignition wouldn't turn, nothing happened. It looked like the battery but I couldn't be sure. I call the CSI mechanic and he said that he couldn't be out there till the next morning. Damn! Now what am I going to do? I don't want to be stuck out here.
As a cop, I'm prepared for all sorts of situations but I got pretty nervous when I saw a unknown vehicle traveling down the road towards me. The driver pulled to a stop and exited his vehicle. I was at that point reaching for my gun when I realized that the man was Danny!
He told me that he listened in on the frequency of the 2 way radios that they carried and he decided to come and help me. What a surprise! He even brought a battery! He even told me that the site was on his way home but I know he lives 10 miles in the other direction.
Ever since he came out to help me, we have never grown apart. We have been going out for 6 months and much to the lab girls angst, I have never been as happy as I am now. I guess my mother was right after all.
