Inverted Sky: KH 358/2 Days

Chapter 6: The World That Never Was part VI

Xion's Log: Day 76

Well, we might have lost to Hercules and Zack, but I still got to go back and train with Phil. He's a really nice guy, and is an even better trainer. He's helped push me to my limits multiple times, and I already feel multiple times stronger after just a couple weeks. The past few resting days though, I've been just trying to piece together all of the new information I've gathered.

Not only have I learned that I basically look like a black-haired version of Sora, but apparently she even has a few friends that stop by the coliseum on occasion. I've seen this Leon, Yuffie and Cloud...so I just need to find out where they all hang out. Once I do that, maybe I can find out where Sora actually is and...talk to her? I guess...

On another note, Larxene and I did indeed join up for the games just last week. We still came in second place, but we did beat Roxas, Axel and Lexaeus. It was a lot of fun, and Larxene even mentioned that I was 'worth while after all'...which is a lot of praise coming from her. Speaking of, she and I have a mission today, so we get to have some 'girl time' again.

As Xion stepped into the lounge room with a soft hum of excitement, she swiftly went quiet and looked around. Though there wasn't anyone nearby, there were clear signs of a fight occurring. There being slash and tear marks through the walls, ceiling and floor. Even the furniture was either thrown to the sides, or in completely ruins across the ground. But in the very center, there looked to be a massive scorch mark that was still sizzling from the heat.

Looking to all of this in utter shock, she immediately began to worry that two or more members of the Organization started a fight, or were possibly attacked by an unknown enemy. But in the midst of these thoughts, the girl heard footsteps approaching from behind. Her turning fully around in a rapid movement, all senses on high alert as she readied to summon her Keyblade. When she gazed up however, she simply saw the familiar features of Axel as he just looked to her sadly.

"No mission today Xion..." he started in a soft tone while approaching the girl, a sympathetic expression visible on his face.

At the same time, both Saix and the Superior walked up and past the red-haired man. The two seeming to be looking over to damage done to the room, in a very examining and investigating manner. Yet Axel just gestured for the girl to follow him out of the room; "Come on...I have some stuff to tell you." he continued, placing a hand to her shoulder and leading the girl back to her room.

Xion's Log: Day 80

The Castle Oblivion team have gone rogue. They seemed to be conspiring against the Superior in order to take Kingdom Hearts for themselves. Or at least...that's what Axel said.

He was apparently sent to spy on them while at the castle, but it wasn't until recently that they showed their true intentions. After confronting them, they attacked and fled. Or at least...that's what Axel said.

We've also been given the order to hunt down the traitors and destroy them. No mercy or quarter permitted. Or at least...that's what Axel said.

I don't know if I can do that. It just feels...wrong. I'm not sure what to believe right now, but I definitely feel like the inkling I've had in my mind for a long time, has been confirmed...I'm not on the right side.

I think it might be time I start thinking of a way out of the Organization.

The raven-haired girl took in and let out a deep breath while looking up. Her staring at the red and orange sky of Twilight Town, simply enjoying the rays of the setting sun against her skin. "Here you go." Roxas said softly, handing her a stick of ice cream.

As she took it into her hand, she offered the boy a small smile and nod. "Thanks." she whispered back, yet just seemed to stare at the treat for a few long moments.

"This is probably a stupid question, but...are you okay?" the blond asked in a worried tone.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Xion turned to her friend with another smile. "Sort of." she responded while shrugging her shoulders.

"It's so strange to suddenly have your friends become your enemies." the girl continued in a sigh, finally taking a bite of her ice cream.

"Yeah...it honestly feels really bad to think about, much less actually have to act on." Roxas said silently, his head tilting down as he became a bit lost in his own thoughts.

"Maybe we could somehow convince them to make amends? I don't know...I guess that's a little too wishful thinking on my part." he added in a sigh, glancing to his friend.

Whom just chuckled softly while looking back to him, waving a hand in the process. "I don't think it's bad to be wishful." she claimed with an encouraging tone.

"Though...I think we would have better luck joining them...than we would in getting them back into the Organization." Xion stated, looking to Roxas with a deeply reading gaze.

"I guess you have a point." the boy muttered out, taking another bite of his ice cream.

The girl able to tell that Roxas didn't catch onto her insinuation, but at the very least, she's helped to implant the idea in his mind. Her now knowing that if she did decide to leave, he'll know why and possibly where she might have gone. 'I wonder if I should actually try to bring Roxas with me when I leave. The Superior seems really adamant about keeping him around though, so it might be hard for me to do.' she mused silently while continuing to eat her own frozen treat.

'I just hope I know what I'm getting myself into.' Xion added to herself in a soft sigh.

Xion's Log: Day 90

The time for my departure from the Organization is soon approaching. I have things set up to fake my demise, as I think it would be best to at least delay the inevitable for when they come after me. If I can at least make them think I'm gone, even for a few days, it'll buy me some time to finally meet with Sora's friends.

After following them to Hollow Bastion and confirming where their 'main base' seems to be, I think I'll finally get the answers I've been hoping to get since day one. I simply need to make sure that I've set everything up properly. If I can pull this off as I want...I might just make it through all this. And maybe at the end, I'll get to reunite with Roxas and Axel.

As Xion stepped into the newly remodeled lounge room, she let out a soft, yet sad sigh. It looking far less comfortable, and much more cold than before. Whether this was due to the reminder of the events that took place not long ago, or simply the metal seats, it just felt devoid of anything welcoming. Which was only enhanced, by the fact that no one bothered to to spend time lounging in this room. The moment they arrived, they would merely leave seconds after. There wasn't even any talking or discussions amongst themselves.

A general feeling of gloom and likely distrust between the Organization members, had settled over the group. But as Xion walked through the area, she noticed Saix standing to the side waiting for her. Pulling her hood up slowly, the teen approached the man and walked through the corridor of darkness he had created. 'Today is the day I start laying down the ground-works for my plan.' she thought to herself as she and the blue-haired man arrived in a world called; Halloween Town.

"There are rumors of Vexen hiding out here, so we must investigate." Saix claimed silently, simply walking forward without paying attention to the girl.

"Understood, I'll see what I can find out from the locals." Xion responded, moving to the side and away from her partner.

Though said man gave her a narrowed gaze for a few long moments, he eventually continued on his own way. This making the teen gain a small smirk from under her hood, knowing that Saix was someone whom rarely paid attention to her. Even when he was suspicious, he didn't seem to think of her as someone he needed to worry about. Or at least...that's what she thought.

'Time to go to work.' Xion mused while approaching the ghoulish and nightmare-made beings that inhabited the town.

Her simply asking one question to each and every individual she encountered; "Is the forest beyond the town inhabited?"

Despite getting the same response of 'No' each and every time, Xion just kept asking it to everyone she met. After a few hours of 'searching', she and Saix eventually met up in the center of town once more. Neither one seeming to have found any clues to the whereabouts of Vexen, or any other former Organization members for that matter. Accepting the lack of any lead, the pair left the world. But not before Xion noticed that the populace was starting to murmur about the forest possibly being inhabited. Which just made her smile, knowing she had done her job.

Xion's Log: Day 120

I've successfully pushed the idea of certain areas in each of the worlds I've visited into becoming a 'hot topic'. By making the people question something, they will naturally generate rumors on their own about a possibility. And in this case, they all think there could be something or someone hiding out in the places that even they find mysterious.

Which now means that when I need to hide from the Organization, they'll be pointed in all the wrong directions. Now it's time to start stage two of my plan; create a means of making everyone think I'm dead. But to do something like that, I'll need to find someone strong enough to make it convincing...and I think I know just who I can talk to.

"Zack? Oh yeah...I think he's training with Phil at the moment. Do you need him for something?" Hercules questioned with a blinking gaze in curiosity, it being quite a while since he's seen the teen.

"You could say that...though, it's a bit of a private conversation. So I'm okay with waiting until he's done." Xion said with a small smile on her features.

Despite the muscular man blinking and tilting his head curiously to the side, he offered a slow nod in response. "I'll make sure to let him know." he said while heading out into the training area as the pair were standing in the trophy room.

Once Hercules was gone however, the raven-haired girl glanced to the side with a narrowed gaze. 'There it is again...every time I came here to train, I felt like there is someone watching me.' she thought to herself in a bit of a sigh.

'For a while I thought it was someone from the Organization, but it seems odd that they would only be watching me in this world in particular. Which means it is either someone from this world, or someone who only knows how to find me via this world.' Xion continued, crossing both arms across her chest.

The teen not noticing the figure moving ever so silently closer to her from behind. A hand reached through the shadows, slowly inching up and around the girl's neck. But just before they could grip Xion's throat, her gaze snapped to look behind her. Which revealed...nothing, and no one. Despite the lack of any evidence, the teen still felt a chill around her neck. Her looking down the hallway carefully, gently rubbing her neck with one hand, while readying the other to summon her Keyblade.

Yet even after a few moments, there was no immediate threat that could be seen. As Xion turned around though, she let out a rather cute yelp in fright as Hercules was standing in front of her. "Um...everything okay?" he asked curiously, and almost innocently.

The girl cleared her throat and nodded quickly, both cheeks becoming a bit red in the process. "Y-Yeah...so what did Zack say?" she questioned back swiftly, trying to make him ignore her embarrassing moment.

"He said that he'd be right over." the man responded while offering a small smile.

"Thank you Hercules, I appreciate it." Xion said with a slow nod of her head.

"Of course, though...if there is anything you need help with, don't hesitate to ask. Heroes are always ready and willing to help those in need." Hercules claimed, his smile widening as he offered a quick, yet very heroic thumbs up.

Seeing this just made Xion chuckle softly and gain a smile of her own, to which she patted his forearm due to his height. "I'll remember that, thank you." she said in a soft tone, it being obvious that she was being very genuine with the man.

'In fact...you're already helping me, and it means more than you might ever know.' the girl added in her mind, Hercules just nodding his head as Zack came into the room.

"I heard you needed to talk to me?" the raven-haired man asked curiously, arching a brow slightly.

"Yeah...there is something I was hoping you might be able to help me with." Xion began, an almost mischievous glint shining in her eyes.

And so it begins Xion's slow plan of leaving the Organization. But how will it actually go? Find out in the chapter after the next one, as the next chapter will be another Roxas POV. I hope all of you are enjoying and will let me know what you thought. Until next time.
