Endurance
Author's note: I don't own tfs, wish I did cough Well I decided to write something about one of my HMW characters- Endurance… heh, damn my unoriginality to choose a proper title for my fan fiction. Anyways, here is the intro… OH! I think I might as well set this in G1… why not? Might as well try a different series. Anyhoo this is basically about betrayal and stuff like that ... ((forgive my paragraphs --))
INTRO:
Endurance collapsed on the desolate earthen beach, his damage
soared to a shocking extreme but he saw worse. He was given his name
because he could survive nearly anything the Autobots hit him with;
of course he felt every little degree of the nauseating pain.
The damage was caused in a mission that was ordered upon him to
carry out, another suicide mission that his officers wanted him to
finish with incompetent comrades to help. Did they enjoy seeing him
in a great deal pain?
His pale purple colored armor was
scorched and withered to an extent that he looked like a lump of
metal with four limbs and a head, his optics a dull yellow seemed to
fade as his metallic face cringed and twisted with the surging blast
of the never ending tenderness that struck him repeatedly. His cast
iron legs had deep wounds that would take any CR chamber awhile to
fix.
Focusing his concentration with much struggle he
looked at the sky, seeing if anyone had bothered to come back for
him, of course none of the ground troops cared much for him but he
had managed to make few seeker friends. All that soared above him
were few seagulls squawking and stealing each others fish.
Growling lowly, Endurance continued scanning the clouds above 'where
are they?' he thought wearily. 'They should be coming…' he
paused, trying to fill himself with a false hope.
He
sighed, rather disgusted, he considered the facts… he risks life in
battle, he shows an undying loyalty towards his commanders, HE takes
their slag for their failures. He does it all with a humble
smile. Yet they forget him? The very thought of them abandoning him
in a retreat made him sick, they had seen the state he was in and
they never bothered to stick out their necks for a mere second to
save his.
It was a fact that he was getting tired of
getting taken advantage of or being expected to do the dirty work and
give all the credit to his superiors, but that was the life of a
Decepticon and easy to say… Endurance was really beginning to hate
it.
Just as stasis began to hit him he heard the roar
of a nearby jet, Endurance let out a small smile, they had come for
him… but he didn't want to face this type of situation again, he
didn't want to live in fear of disappointing his officers and have
them send him out to another battle that would be as gruesome as
this. Only two choices are available- Stay and eventually die or Join
the Autobots.
