Disclaimer: This one owns a Sesshoumaru plushie (hooray for liquidation sales!) but does not own Sesshoumaru, Inu Yasha the series or any characters or titles from that series. Inu Yasha is Rumiko Takahashi's.
A/N: If anyone reading this reads my other stories, you are aware from my constant excuses that I have a lot of homework that I need to do. I would like to state, in my defense, that most of the chapters I've been working on today were already far along, just not done. Including ch. 13 of A Debt Repaid, and a oneshot songfic that I posted last night… and another oneshot (non-songfic) that I didn't finish, just made progress on, and this, which was a plot bunny I almost completed a while back that just needs to be shaped (have the dialogue, which is the main thing, just need a set up and some formatting.) And besides, I tried to start my homework, but I couldn't concentrate. I'll have plenty of time for homework over break. Sleep is a luxury anyway.
Sesshoumaru's Dilemma
Sesshoumaru could see where this rabbit demon (whose name he had not bothered to memorize) was going with this conversation, and he didn't like it.
"I realize she is far to young now, but I humbly request the hand of your human ward, Rin, when she comes of age."
"Denied."
"But, my lord!"
"Your services in the past will not excuse you for that tone."
"Forgive me, my lord. I was out of line."
"Agreed."
"So I may have her?"
"No."
"But… then… what is agreed?"
"It is agreed that you were out of line."
"Oh." He walked quietly a few steps behind Sesshoumaru, deep in thought. "Milord?" No response. "Whom will you give her to?"
"This Sesshoumaru is more than capable of finding a mate for her."
"So you will give her to some human then?"
"Never!"
"Then you will give her to a demon, and let them produce a half breed?"
Sesshoumaru stopped walking, a look of disgust clear on his face as he turned to face "Don't be absurd"
"You will deny her the pleasure of motherhood then?"
"No…."
"So she can mate, and have children, but not with a human, or a demon?"
"…"
"Whom would you give her to? A god?"
Sesshoumaru stopped to consider. The rabbit sweat dropped.
…End story…
A/N: I like the rough draft better, but it broke at least two formatting rules.
