*As long as Leah's aunts were away, this allowed her to have more peace and quiet than usual. And every time Leah went outside by herself, she got to see Kijakazi and Zen more. They met each other every day for the entire week since the first meeting. The more Leah met her new friends, the stronger their relationships grew. Until the beginning of the next week, Leah was in her den, thinking about Kijakazi. And her aunts had just come home one morning. Along with Kavu, who looked smug as he was wanting to see Leah. He was looking forward to meeting his future bride again. But Leah wasn't looking forward to seeing him*

Leah: Oh no... I can't believe he's back. For the past week, I was relieved to be hanging out with Kijakazi and Zen. They're my friends. At least I've been bonding with them every time we met up. *Walks around her den when her mom shows up*

Isabella: Good morning, dear. You're up already?

Leah *Stops walking* I was just getting up.

Isabella: Oh. Alright then. Come out here, we've got a visitor. *Leah follows her*

Leah: It's not Kavu, is it? Please say no.

Isabella: *Sighs sadly* I don't know, Leah. Let's find out. *As they're both out of the den, Kavu was standing in between Rosa and Nuria, grinning*

Kavu: Morning, sleeping beauty.

Leah: (In disgust) Ugh...

Kavu: Sleep well? *Leah turns her head to avoid looking at him*

Leah: Uh, Mom? Aunts Rosa and Nuria?

Isabella: Girls... We've been over this for days.

Rosa: *Ignores her as she looks at Leah* Isn't this wonderful, Leah? He's staying for breakfast.

Leah: *Her ears fold down* (Disappointedly) Hmph... I'm not very hungry. I'll just have a snack instead. *Walks away as she takes a mackerel in her mouth*

Nuria: Leah, what's wrong with you? What's going on?

Isabella: Let her go, girls.

Kavu: *Bites out of his food* (Muffled) I'll have my breakfast first. What's gotten into Leah this morning?

Rosa: Excuse me, but don't talk with your mouth full. Finish eating and then you can talk.

Nuria: Yes, that's so rude. *Kavu swallows after hearing what she said*

Kavu: Oh yes, how rude of me. Whatever is Leah up to these days?

Isabella: You'll never know.

*As for Leah, she was eating her mackerel outside the mountain cave. She still refused to be around Kavu in any case. All she could think about was her new friends, Kijakazi and Zen. Leah just couldn't stop thinking of the fun she had with them. She was about to leave home again when she heard a whistling wind. And she was almost done eating the mackerel as she walked away from home*

Leah: (Thinking) Zen and Kijakazi are so much fun to hang with. But still, I just can't stand being around Kavu. Ever since I found out about being forced to marry him, I've been avoiding him. *Finishes eating her mackerel fish as there was only the head and tail fin on the bone left* Honestly, Aunts Rosa and Nuria are SO insistent about it. Whenever they talk to me now, they just get on my nerves.

*An hour later, Leah was on another walk by herself like last week. She was looking forward to seeing her new friends. At the moment she thought about them, she saw a big black creature fly ahead. She followed it all the way to the same place she met Kijakazi. But as soon as Leah got there, the black flying creature was gone*

Leah: (Calling) Hello? Are you there? *The bushes rustle as Kijakazi and Zen startle her* Ah!

Kijakazi: Good morning, Leah.

Zen: Sorry about that. *The black creature comes back, purring* Oh, looks like you followed him here.

Leah: Hi. *The creature nuzzles her* Aw, hello there.

Zen: *Laughs with Kijakazi* You must forgive Hikage. He loves meeting new friends. Hikage's a Night Fury dragon.

Kijakazi: Hikage likes you. Nuzzling is how he shows affection. By the way, there's something we wanna show you. Come with us. *Walks further into the woods with Zen and Hikage as Leah follows* You're gonna love it.

Leah: What is it?

Zen: You'll see when we get there. *The three get on Hikage and take off into flight*

Leah: Woah!

Zen: Hang on tight! *They fly higher* Here we go!

*Kijakazi, Leah and Zen rode on Hikage as they flew through the sky. Wind blowing in their fur, as they enjoyed the flight. And Leah felt the excitement flow through her veins as she and her friends looked at their surroundings. Leah knew that she'd never been in the sky before. This was a new excitement for her*

Leah: (In wonder) Wow... This is... Amazing! I never thought flying would be so exciting.

Kijakazi: I had the same feeling too. Flying's fun, isn't it?

Leah: I know, right? *Laughs with Kijakazi and Zen as they continue flying* I love it!

Zen: Come on, guys! Let's fly! *Hikage flies faster as he goes past some trees* This is gonna be fun!

Leah: Yeah! This is the best friendship ever! I love being with you guys. *She smiles with them as Hikage slows down as they glide above the sea*

Kijakazi: And I'm glad I met you. Zen and I love spending time with you.

Zen: We're friends, Leah. You're a lot of fun to hang with.

Leah: And so are you guys. I've never had this much fun in my life. *Hikage suddenly flies upwards very fast* Woah!

Zen: Oh, this is my favorite part! Hold on, guys! We're going up! *Hikage flies a few feet more before going straight forward*

Kijakazi: Woo!

Leah: *Looks down below* Wow... It's beautiful.

Kijakazi: Isn't it? I think the same thing. We can do it again if you'd like.

Leah: Sure! I-I'd love to go on another flight later on. How about sunset?

Kijakazi: Hey, that sounds fantastic! Zen, what do you think?

Zen: Good idea, Leah. You can come back by sunset for another dragon ride. I can wait for you guys down below. *Hikage makes a big turn as he flies back to Iberia* Woah! Hang onto your tails, it's gonna be fast! *Just at that, Hikage starts flying at top speed*

Leah: Oh my gosh! *The wind blasts in her face, even Kijakazi and Zen* We're gonna get back really fast!

*So Hikage kept flying at top speed as they soared over Spain. It wasn't very long before they flew back to where they were meeting since the past week. But Hikage, Kijakazi, Zen and Leah were so high up, not even Isabella or her sisters saw them. Or Kavu, who was asking questions to Isabella:

Kavu: Now, why won't she hang around me, Leah's mom?

Isabella: It's Isabella. And I've told you several times. She likes her alone time.

Kavu: Oh, pre-wedding jitters, eh?

Isabella: No she doesn't! *Kavu's fur stands on end from this*

Kavu: My fur! Now look at what you've done! *Meanwhile, Leah and her friends back in the same forest with a crash landing*

Leah: Woah! That was crazy, I love it! I had a great time!

Kijakazi: That's great! I'm glad you flew with us.

Zen: I knew you'd love it. We'll see you again later. *Walks away with Hikage*

Leah: See ya, Kijakazi. *Gives Kijakazi a hug before leaving* I can't wait for the next flight.

Kijakazi: Me too. Bye, Leah. *After hugging back, he catches up with Zen and Hikage* Guys! Wait for me?

Leah: *Laughs as she runs home* He's so funny. I enjoy Kijakazi, Zen and Hikage. (Thinking) As long as they're my friends, I can stay away from Kavu a lot longer. This marriage is forced, I'm not royal. I can't be betrothed to him, I love my friends more than ever. *Picks up the pace when she hears her mom*

Isabella: (Offscreen) Kavu, don't start. Leah doesn't wanna marry you.

Kavu: Yes, yes. I know that, Leah's mom.

Isabella: I told you, it's Isabella. I do have a name, you don't always need to address me that way.

Leah: Oh great... *Runs to hide from her home* (Thinking) Kavu, I should've known. Rats. But on the bright side, I'll be going out again. I loved the flying we went on. *Watches as Kavu left her home*

Kavu: Okay, fine. I need to look dashing for tomorrow. Because ladies can't resist a guy like me, right?

Nuria: Kavu, nobody cares about your self-esteem. You've had that all your life.

Rosa: And where's Leah?

*Later in the afternoon, it was bound to get dark soon. And Leah once again returned to her secret place. She was very happy to see Kijakazi again. This time, Hikage wasn't the only Night Fury greeting her. There seemed to be another one as Leah met up with them*

Leah: I'm back, guys.

Kijakazi: Hey, you're just in time to meet Wingnight. He's Hikage's brother. We figured he'd like to meet someone to. Zen's sitting by the lake. Wanna go for a flight at sunset?

Leah: I'd love to! *Climbs onto Hikage, along with Kijakazi* An evening ride sounds like fun!

Kijakazi: (Cheerfully) Let's fly! *They take off into flight as the sun was about to set*

*So Kijakazi and Leah had their flight at sunset. Leah was amazed at how high they flew, above the clouds. Past the mountains and trees. The three even went left and right around obstacles. The flight was enchanting and breathtaking at the same time. Afterwards, they both went for a walk. Just like the first encounter*

Leah: I love being with you, Kijakazi. It's amazing.

Kijakazi: And I enjoy being with you too, Leah. Hundreds of fireflies appear everywhere, shining brightly* Hey look at that!

Leah: Woah... So many fireflies! *The sky had gotten completely dark as a full moon appears* It's beautiful.

Kijakazi: Yeah... Shall we see the light? *Leah nods with agreement as they walk through the early night*

Leah:

All those days watching from the windows

All those years outside looking in

All that time never even knowing

Just how blind I've been

Now I'm here blinking in the starlight

Now I'm here suddenly I see

Standing here it's all so clear

I'm where I'm meant to be

And at last I see the light

And it's like the fog has lifted

And at last I see the light

And it's warm and real and bright

And the world has somehow shifted *A firefly lands on her nose as she admires it. After several seconds, the firefly flies away*

All at once everything is different

Now that I see you

*Some of the fireflies fly around the two. Then they float higher and higher into the air*

Kijakazi:

All those days chasing down a daydream

All those years living in a blur

All that time never truly seeing

Things the way they were

Now she's here shining in the starlight

Now she's here suddenly I know

If she's here it's crystal clear

I'm where I'm meant to go

Leah & Kijakazi:

And at last I see the light

And it's like the fog has lifted

And at last I see the light

Leah:

And it's like the sky is new

Leah & Kijakazi:

And it's warm and real and bright

And the world has somehow shifted

All at once everything is different

Now that I see you

Now that I see you
