Part 4: Blessed With Love
*Leah and Kijakazi had been enjoying each other's company. They loved all the fun they had together. Ever since the first meeting, Leah and Kijakazi's relationship grew stronger. The full moon was accompanied by the stars. But Leah wasn't too far away from home. If Rosa and Nuria were starting to get concerned, Leah would return in time before they thought so. For the moment, Leah and Kijakazi were sitting by the lake, looking at their reflections*
Leah: I can't believe how much fun we have together. Y'know, I'm so glad we met, Kijakazi. I really enjoy your company, if you don't mind me saying.
Kijakazi: Oh, I don't mind at all.
Leah: Really?
Kijakazi: Yeah.
*And by the second they chuckled, their paws touched each other. The two Iberian lynx saw that their paws touched. They looked at each other and felt something. It must be something that wasn't there before. Leah and Kijakazi had an awkward feeling going on*
Leah: Oops... Sorry about that.
Kijakazi: That's okay. I didn't mean...
Leah: No worries.
?: (Distant calling) Leah? Time for dinner! *The two look around*
Leah: I better get back there. *Gets up and runs off as Kijakazi does the same* (Happily) See ya tomorrow!
Kijakazi: Bye, Leah! I'll see you tomorrow!
*Leah rushed back home in time as soon she saw Isabella. She was happy to see her return. But Leah's troubles were only just beginning. It was because Kavu was about to show up*
Leah: *Hugs Isabella* Hi mom! I just had a beautiful time around the fireflies.
Isabella: That's wonderful, my dear! I knew you still love fireflies. *Guides Leah inside the mountain cave* Come on, let's go.
Kavu: And where have YOU been, Leah? *This shocks Leah as she comes inside to see him, Rosa and Nuria*
Leah: *Gasps* Oh, I've been on a long walk. But that's none of your business, Kavu.
Rosa: Leah!
Isabella: Back off, sis! *Her sisters stare in disbelief* Sorry.
Kavu: Don't fight in front of my bride. After all, I AM intended in marrying Leah.
Leah: *Sighs in annoyance* Stay away from me, you self absorbed boneheaded! *Smacks Kavu in the face*
Kavu: Ow! Why you...
Leah: I'll just eat in my room. By myself. *Takes some salmon with her as she leaves*
Rosa: Leah, get back here this instant!
Isabella: Either you leave her alone, or leave this cave!
Kavu: (Sarcastically) Ooh, I'm so scared! I'm shaking in my bones!
Isabella: Are you being sarcastic again?
*Leah was still in her den, eating her salmon. She still avoided Kavu no matter how bad things could get. The only guy Leah thought about was Kijakazi. And she also thought of Zen and Hikage*
Leah: (Thinking) I blame my aunts for being overprotective of me. I can look out for myself. But I'm glad I have someone who cares for me more than just himself. Kijakazi is so much fun to play with too. Kavu's no fun to be around when he's being vain. *Somebody walks into her den as she turns around* Who's there?
Kavu: Why, it's only me.
Leah: (Disappointed) Oh no, not you! Stay away! *Backs away from him* I don't want anything to do with you, EVER!
Kavu: Pfft! Please, your aunts were begging me to join you. And to help you finish that salmon.
Leah: Get outta here and leave me alone! *Throws one of her salmon fish at him*
Whap!
Kavu: (Annoyed) Hey! What was THAT for?!
Leah: (Shouts) I SAID GET OUT!
Kavu: Okay okay! I'm leaving! *Storms out of the den* Sheesh...
Leah: *Sighs heavily* (Softly) Honestly...
Rosa: What the heck just happened?
Nuria: Why's there a salmon on your face?
Isabella: Girls, lemme handle this. Please. *Walks into Leah's den, as Leah was almost done eating* Leah, what happened?
Leah: He annoyed me again, mom. I still don't wanna be around Kavu. I hate him so much, I'm thinking of having someone else. *Continues to finish her fish*
Isabella: I understand, sweetheart. Just like what you told me last week. *Leah has finished her salmon* Sometimes it's best to choose anybody you want to marry.
Leah: That's exactly what I've been thinking of. Somebody else. *Yawns as she stretches out* Maybe that's the best choice for me. What aunts Rosa and Nuria thought is a terrible idea.
Isabella: I agree. You can go to sleep, Leah. I'll take care of that fish bone for you. *Leah goes to her bed and drifts off to sleep* Good night, honey.
Leah: (Yawning) Goodnight, mom.
*Late the next morning, Kavu was thinking of ways to get Leah's attention. He was plotting on some ideas when Leah was just passing by. He set his eyes on her as she was about to walk past*
Kavu: Hey, mind if I ask you a few questions, sweetie?
Leah: No. Don't talk to me like that, Kavu. I'm just passing through. *Tries to walk past, but Kavu stops her*
Kavu: Now, where exactly do you go for a walk?
Leah: Mind your own business! *Jumps past him but gets followed*
Kavu: Oh, but I insist! What kind of fish do you like? What's your favorite place? Who's your favorite-
Leah: Just leave me alone! *Slaps him with her paw before storming off*
Kavu: Ow! *Rubs his face* Well I never!
*Leah was so annoyed by Kavu, she went down the hillside where she found the dandelion field. The same field she and Kijakazi ran through. So Leah kept running to get away from Kavu. As it seemed he was determined to hang around her, which only caused her problems*
Leah: Man, I don't know what their deal is. But it really bugs me. I hate Kavu so much, no matter how bad it goes. *Someone is approaching her*
?: Hey.
Leah: *Recognizes the voice* Kijakazi? What are you doing here?
Kijakazi: I was just wondering how things are going for you.
Leah: *Sighs* Can we talk alone?
Kijakazi: Okay. *They head back to where they laid below the clouds from the second meeting* What is it?
Leah: I don't know how to say this, but... I'm forced to marry this guy in the future. And the thing is, I hate him. He's vain, has self-esteem, he annoys me all the time. My overprotective aunts are worry warts... And I wish it didn't happen.
Kijakazi: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. *Hugs her with comfort* That doesn't sound good.
Leah: Tell me about it. The truth is, I love seeing you and Zen. I even got to fly on Hikage, it was awesome. Because when it comes to my aunts, it's a nightmare.
Kijakazi: By the way, what's that guy's name? The one you're forced to marry?
Leah: Kavu. He's such a pain in the tail. I've been avoiding him for days.
Kijakazi: That makes sense to me. And I know something that might cheer you up. *Gets up with a friendly smile* Come on.
Leah: We are we going? *Jumps up and follows him*
Kijakazi: You'll see. *Runs in another direction* Follow me!
Leah: Hey, wait for me!
*As Leah followed, Kijakazi was taking her someplace. She followed him across the field while the dandelion seeds blew everywhere. Leah was curious about Kijakazi's idea. She followed back to the forest again. And no one saw her or Kijakazi at all. At Leah's mountain cave, nobody was home. As soon as Kijakazi entered the forest with Leah close behind, he came to a stop*
Kijakazi: Close your eyes.
Leah: Okay. *Closes her eyes* What is it?
Kijakazi: Just wait. *Gets something out from behind a rock* You're gonna love this. *He holds out a pouch to Leah* Here, open this I'm holding.
Leah: Got it. *Opens the pouch*
Kijakazi: You can open your eyes now. I got that for you. *Leah opens her eyes as she sees a blue crystal necklace (Similar to Kida's necklace from Atlantis)*
