Twilight

Her scent is floral

She smells like the greatest sin.

Her touch is warm

It thaws my skin.

Her eyes are brown

Dark like chocolate.

They pull me in deeper, every second

She sparkles bright

Even in the night

But now, she lays still on the floor.

Her eyes are wide, full of horror.

Her warm blood flows down her neck,

The smell so strong, it feels like heck.

She grabs my hand and whispers, "Please.."

I have no choice, so I agree.

I close my eyes, and breathe in deep.

She tilts her head, and begins to weep.

I turn her head and say, "My love, forgive."

She smiles bright and nods her head.

I lean back down, tears unshed.

I pierce her skin, and she starts to cry.

"But now", I say, "she will no longer die".

My love for her, it will stay true.

For she will always love me too.

I watch her eyes darken, as she watches sky.

"This," I whisper, "is the twilight of our lives."
