Disclaimer: I hate Winry Rockbell! (That's not a disclaimer…)

Hi there, and sorry for the tremendously long wait. I was kinda banned from my computer for a week. It's a long story. But now I'm back, and this chapter is one I've also tried to find a place for. Let me explain.

I wanted there to be a chapter where I traveled to Risembool and met Winry. Ahem…

I finally saw episode 45 (A Rotted Heart), and for those of you who have as well, you should know why the whole "let me braid your hair!" scene annoys me.

But if you haven't seen it yet, then I won't spoil anything for you. Plus, I don't like remembering it…

What? I'm a freakin' fangirl! What do you expect?

On another note… DAMN, Ed looks sexy with black hair!

Moving on…

I don't meet Winry in this chapter, but I travel to Risembool.

Anyway, I hope this chapter makes up for the long wait.

This chapter is pretty much dialogue.

Chapter 11

Train Car Talk

"Brother, is there something wrong?"

Al looked worried about my Edward. (I don't own him!)

"Yeah," Ed answered. "I think I banged up my automail again."

"How did you do that?" I asked.

I was surprised at my own daring. I hadn't been able to look at him in the past few days, much less talk to him. Ever since we…

"I don't know," he replied, not taking notice of my sudden voice to him.

"Well, uh…" I just couldn't find the words to say to him. Love does that. "I guess you have to fix it."

"I can't." Ed said. "My mechanic has to."

"Al looked up.

"We're going back to Risembool?" he asked.

"We have to, Al," Ed said.

"But we were just there!"

"I know that," Ed said. "That's where we met Rachel."

He paused for a moment to smile at me, and I retreated into my little blush corner.

"But," he continued. "My arm was fine then."

"Well," Al thought aloud. "I guess it couldn't hurt to visit Winry again."

I sat in silence next to Ed on the train, the last streaks of sunlight flooding the windows. He must have noticed, even though I wasn't speaking to him, that I was quiet. I'm a very talkative person. He was looking at me, I could tell, but there was no way I could return the stare. Because I knew that if our eyes met, I would probably die.

"Rachel?"

That was Ed.

I continued to keep my gaze on the scenery.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing!" I replied, with a closed-eyes anime smile so I wouldn't have to look at him. "I'm just fine!"

"But you aren't talking."

I opened my eyes to his. What could I say?

"Yeah, well, I…"

"Brother!"

My dream boyfriend and I looked at Al, who had stood up, the tip of his armor touching the ceiling.

"I need to talk to Rachel. Alone."

"Uh…"

Ed and I looked at each other in confusion. Actually, I was the confused one. Ed's eyes got wide.

"Why?" he asked.

Al said nothing, but looked at Ed in a certain way. The blonde looked quickly at me, as I had stood up to follow Al, then he turned to look out the window.

" C'mon," Al said. I slid past Ed, with the blush still fixed on my face, and followed the suit down the aisle. He opened the door to a back room, and gestured me inside. When the door had been closed, he turned to me.

"Do you like my brother?'

That was sudden.

"What?"

"Do you?"

"I…I might."

"You do then?"

"Well…"

"It's okay. He told me about your kiss."

"What?"

It was clear to me then. That's the reason that Ed had been so nervous, and why his eyes had widened.

"Why would he tell you?"

"He," Al said. "He seemed kinda… excited."

"Excited?"

"Yeah."

I stood there in silence again, thinking to myself. It was almost as if Ed had been bragging to Al…

"So… uh… is that all you wanted to tell me?"

"Well, sort of…" Al said. "You stay here for a minute."

He practically ran out the door, so I wouldn't have time to stop him. I could only imagine what he was on his way to do. I looked around the small dingy room that was probably used for storage, and saw a crate along the wall. I sat down on it, folding my skirt under my legs. I decided to wait for whoever would walk through that door. And if I knew Al, then I knew exactly who that person would be.

The door opened.

Ed walked in, his head bowed low. He shut the door behind him, and leaned up against it.

"Did Al send you in here?"

"Yeah."

This was already awkward as hell.

"So, uh… he told me some stuff."

"I know."

"He said you… told him about… yeah."

"I did."

"Why?"

That was when Ed looked up at me. He seemed as if he didn't know what to say, but at the same time, wanted to tell me everything in the world. I can relate.

"I wanted him to know," Ed said. "That's all."

He walked to me, and I moved over so he could share the crate with me. He sat down.

"Is there a reason you wanted him to know?"

He turned to me, and I was able to look him in the eyes for the first time in days.

"Not really."

"Well, uh… maybe we should go back to the seats."

Ed stood up and held his hand out to me. I took it, blushing again, and stood up as well.

We walked together back to Al.

Winry can kiss my ass! Ed is mine!

Sorry for the long, boring, nothing-but-dialogue chapter, but we had to have a conversation like that sometime.

I've finally realized: This story is getting way too fluffy. But it's a nice break from all of the drama that I never intended this humor story to have.

Some of you like fluff. And some of you don't.
