A/N: I'll start off by saying that I'm sorry, but this is not an update. About a week ago, I posted a new story entitled "Santa Minx". If you've read that, then you know what's been going on in my life for about the last month. If you haven't, I'll explain.

A few days before Christmas, my mom fell at her nursing home and broke her ankle in two places along with dislocating it. Surgery was needed to fix it and was done the day after Christmas. Things seemed to be okay until the nursing home said she was not responsive, and she was taken to the hospital. She had a minor infection. The big issues, however, were that she was dehydrated, and her sodium level was high. Both things have occurred with the parents of some of my friends with older parents. These conditions also cause an altered state. Because she was dehydrated, her veins were collapsed, and they needed to put in a central line. Due to the combination of her Alzheimer's and her altered state, she fought with them which resulted in her lung being nicked. She needed a chest tube put in to help with that. As for the sodium levels, they needed to lower them slowly because too fast could cause other damage to her brain. They were able to stabilize her, but she still wasn't very responsive. It was determined that she was as good as she was going to get. She wasn't going to get any better. At that time, my sisters and I honored her wishes. We knew she didn't want to linger. Remaining in the state that she was in wasn't living to her. This was a discussion that we had several years ago. We had her feeding tube removed, and she went back to the nursing home under the care of hospice. Things went quickly after that. We spent most of yesterday with her, and when we left, she simply stopped breathing and passed away.

As you can guess, I'm really not up to writing at the moment. I wanted all of you to know what was going on so you didn't think I was abandoning either of my current works in progress. I'm not sure when I'll post my next chapter. Writing is nice a release for me though so it may be sooner rather than later. I just need a little time to get my head together.

Thanks for listening. I'll see you soon.
