~Samus's POV~
They thought it couldn't be done, but somehow I managed to do it.
Today, I did something I never thought I would do: I called a boy on special occasion phone and asked him out on a date.
Normally, I'm a little too busy to spend some time with a guy I like. I hardly ever had time to make a surprise call on special occasion phone to any of my ex-boyfriends, but today, I had plenty of time, so I made a call to a guy I'm currently in a relationship with and asked him out. Out of all the boy Smashers I've met and dated, that one lucky guy is none other than Pit.
I can't think of anyone who will come close to being as perfect as Pit. I firmly believe that he's the boy I've always wanted. A boy who will always be willing to lend me a helping hand and stay loyal to me. I never thought I'd be one for falling in love again after breaking up with Captain Falcon and Solid Snake and dumping Little Mac and Ike, but this sweet, optimistic, friendly, and somewhat dorky angel boy proved me wrong. I've practically accepted him as my soulmate shortly after I dumped Little Mac. I still remember the night Pit admitted his feelings to me. I could tell that he seemed a little nervous, but he managed to tell me I was the most beautiful girl he has ever met. You can imagine how shocked he was when I told him that I knew he always had a crush on me ever since he joined the Smash Bros., and I bet he was even more shocked when I kissed him on the forehead to show that I loved him back.
I might not seem like it when I'm out fighting aliens or training for brawls with the Smashers, but underneath my seemingly remorseless and cold exterior, I actually have a sweet, warm heart and an equally warm love, however, only for Pit. It's a side of me that other bounty hunters will never see.
Sometimes, Pit and I talk to each other through video calls when we're too busy to see each other in person. I normally use my tablet and he uses his laptop. I decided to give him a video call on Skype to let him know when our date would be set up, where our date would be, and when we would meet up. I had a wonderful time planned for just the two of us.
As the video call started, I saw Pit sitting in front of his laptop. The way he was sitting was really cute, his legs crossed and his feet put together. In fact, I think almost everything he does is cute. I don't know how he does it, but he somehow manages to attract girls just by being his adorable, dorky self.
"Hey, Pit," I greeted him.
"Hi, Sammy!" said Pit as he waved to me and gave that beaming, happy smile of his. I like how he sometimes calls me "Sammy". He's really affectionate that way. It felt so nice to hear the sound of that cute voice of his.
"You know how I set up a date with you through special occasion phone earlier?" I asked him.
"Hehe! Yeah!" said Pit with a small giggle. "I can't wait for it! I've always felt so jealous whenever my friends got calls from their girlfriends on that thing asking them out on dates. Every time I walked past that phone, I triple-crossed my fingers, hoping you would call me to ask me out, too. And today, you did! Man, you made my dream come true!"
"I'm glad that you're so excited about our date, Pitster," I said, chuckling softly at the angel boy's remark. "But I think I forgot to give you some details on that very date."
"Wait, what?" asked Pit. "What details?"
"Well, I just wanted to tell you when we should set up that date," I told him. "Then I'll tell you where we'll meet up and when we should meet up."
"Oh, okay," he said. "So, what's the plan?"
"You know that place in downtown Smashville with the cafe and the flower shop?" I told him. "Well, I thought we'd stop at the cafe and get some refreshments. Then, we could take a little tour of the Namco museum that got renovated a few months ago. And then, maybe we could try out that mini-golf course, and if you're interested, we could also try shooting some bullseyes at the archery range."
"Noice!" said Pit. "So, when are we gonna do that?"
"How about we schedule our date for Saturday afternoon?" I suggested. "We could meet up for our date at about 2:00 sharp."
"Sounds good to me! Let's do it!" said Pit, pumping his fist to show his enthusiasm.
"Great. I'll see you then," I said. With that, I gave him a warm smile and my single thumbs-up sign.
"See you later, Sammy! Peace out!" said Pit as he smiled back and flashed his peace sign at me.
As our video call ended, I decided that I might as well start getting ready for my weekend afternoon out with my angel boyfriend. A while later, I went to the clothing store downtown and bought myself a new outfit to wear for my date, because I wanted to make a good impression on Pit when the day of our date arrived. It was simple and casual, not too fancy. I thought it was the perfect outfit for a nice afternoon outing.
While I was admiring my new outfit in the changing area, I saw Captain Falcon, Snake, and Little Mac approach. I suppose they were on their way to the sportswear section, but since men's minds can work in pretty strange ways, I guess they saw me standing in front of a mirror, wearing something other than my usual Zero Suit or Fusion Outfit, and decided to have a closer look. I don't really mind, though, because I have quite an intoxicating effect on men.
"Whoa-ho, Samus!" exclaimed Little Mac. "You look like a fox's mother!"
"Mac, I'm pretty sure you mean 'foxy mama'," I said. "But that's just a lot more offensive."*
"Right, right," said Mac. "You know what I mean."
"That new outfit of yours looks very beautiful!" said Snake. "I suppose it's for a special occasion?"
"That's right," I said. "I happen to have a date coming up this weekend."
"Ooh, you are?" said Mac.
"Which one of us are you going to be going out with?" asked Falcon. "Would it be me, perhaps? I would really like to go to the big professional motocross race at Midair Stadium with you."
"No, I think she's going out with me," said Snake. "I bet she wants to test out some of my new high-tech battle weapons that I got a few days ago."
"I sure hope you're going out with me," said Little Mac. "I haven't been able to smooch you ever since you friend-zoned me."
"Uh, no. Sorry, guys," I told them. "My date's not with any of you. It's with Pit. I suspect that the three of you might stay at the Smash Mansion and play some head-to-head Mario Kart or do some virtual boxing or something."
"You WHAT?!" yelled the boys as they all jumped in the air. Then they started to quiver with rage.
"Is there a problem, boys?" I asked.
"We can't believe this, Samus!" cried Snake.
"We can't believe you're going out with that angel boy!" said Falcon.
"So, what are you saying?" said Little Mac with a shudder. "That you...want his bod?"
"You can't even call that thing a bod!" shouted Snake.
"Yeah!" said Falcon. "He's just a little shrimp with chicken wings!"
"Look, guys," I told them. "Pit and I have known each other for a long time. We've always had a good relationship with each other. I knew from the start that he's always had a crush on me. We've developed quite a steady relationship, especially since the day he admitted his feelings to me. Besides, it's just a date. I've had my fair share of open relationships with the three of you, but now I'm going steady with someone who has stayed loyal to me much longer than you would expect."
"Says you," said Falcon. "I've turned down more foxy mamas than I can count just so I can stay loyal to you!"
"And it's not fair that you threw me into the friend zone so you could start dating that flightless bird-brain!" said Mac. "Although, that Wii Fit Trainer lady is pretty cool, too."
"I get it," I sighed as I shook my head. "You guys are jealous of me having Pit as a boyfriend, aren't you?"
"Don't flatter yourself, woman," muttered Snake.
As I paid for my new outfit and left the store, I thought to myself that my three exes must be really jealous of my relationship with Pit, but they just don't want to admit it.
I don't understand why Falcon, Snake, and Mac think they're better boyfriends for me than Pit. I would never do anything to Pit that he doesn't want or would hurt him. Besides, I know that angel boy has his way of gaining attention from girls. Falcon, Snake, and Mac are all about showing off their strength, speed, and powerful fighting moves. They think they have what it takes to be a real man. Pit isn't like that. He prefers to impress ladies by using his "natural charm". Even though he's not as big or muscular as Falcon or Snake and he's almost as short as Mac, he's still very strong and heroic and he's not afraid to fight in the face of danger. Whenever I need a partner to help me beat bad guys, or just need a helping hand in general, Pit is almost always willing to step in. He's very loyal to me, even moreso than Mac, Snake, or Falcon. We both like training for combat together, and we've taught each other our cool action moves and attacks. We've also taught each other how to use new weapons. I showed Pit how I use my laser guns, and he taught me how to use a bow and shoot arrows. But most importantly, he taught me that I shouldn't worry about having to work hard all the time and that sometimes, it's okay to relax and take some time for myself. Even though I'm pretty remorseless and tough when I'm out fighting aliens or training for brawls with the other Smashers, Pit is the only boy I know who can warm my heart and break through my cold exterior. When Pit and I are together, he's always been able to brighten my day with his natural charm. I like him because he's nice, funny, optimistic, and sweet, and I know he likes me because I'm strong, courageous, modest, and beautiful. In short, I think Pit is the perfect boyfriend for me, and I dumped my three exes so I could stay loyal to the angel boy.
Unfortunately, Mac, Snake, and Falcon don't see it that way. They think I deserve a macho, muscular man like them instead of a laid-back, friendly guy like Pit. I often explain to them that Pit is just as strong and capable as a fighter like them, but they never listen.
I just think those boys are jealous because they're not able to win my heart very easily like Pit. They can deny it all they want, but I know that they're just jealous.
But anyway, I certainly hope that my date with Pit will go as well as planned. I just have to keep an eye out for my jealous exes so they don't get any weird ideas.
*Did you see that little Homestar Runner reference I snuck in there? XD
