Not the Princess Anymore
My mom and I were alike
Too alike, some thought
We had a special connection
One that could not be bought
Then I hit college
It was really weird
I began to act differently
Everybody feared
I used to be the princess
Of our little town
But I had changed a lot
I wasn't royal now
The second year of Yale
Was really great for me
I got a real boyfriend
To him I was a queen
Mom and Luke fell into love
Grandma did not approve
He was not worthy of her daughter
She was very rude
Sherry ran away that year
And left my dad alone
He had trouble with little Gigi
He had to stay at home
There was one night that she wouldn't stop
Her crying in the night
Dad called Mom, she came right over
Didn't even put up a fight
Dad and I got in a fight
And I hated him
'Cause every time he came around,
He hurt her more than pins
Soon enough, my grandparents
Really missed each other
So they decided it would be best
If they got back together
One week later, they renewed their vows
In a wonderful, grand party
It was then that everyone realized
That there would be tragedy
Grandma had invited Dad
In hopes he would step in
And take Mom back and kick Luke's butt
Out of her life for him
That night my mom and Luke broke up
And split the town in two
There were ribbons handed out
Pink for Mom, and Luke's were blue
When Mom did not show up at work,
Sookie looked for her
Mom was distraught because he was
Gone for good for sure
I came home and took care of her
Lane helped out, too
Mom refused to go to dinner
At her parents house for food
For three weeks straight
Mom was depressed
She was totally and completely
Really, really stressed
Then one night, Luke came back
And went right to the house
He knocked on the door, and when Mom saw him
She was quiet as a mouse
He took a deep breath
And kissed her
All she said was,
"Uh, wow, mister."
That was the night they got back together
And Luke began to plan
He wanted a future with this woman
And he thought to himself, "Well I can."
Old Man Twickham died soon after
And left his house to Stars Hollow
Luke knew that was the house that he wanted
So when Taylor led, he followed
The museum was a total bust
Barely anyone came
Only Taylor thought it would work
But then again, he's insane
Mom finally came to dinner again
Only because Logan was there
Grandma was really mean to her
It wasn't at all fair
