"IT CAN'T BE!" The red haired girl sobbed. "IT'S NOT POSSIBLE!"
"I'm sorry Cass but it is, and it happened, I wish it didn't, but it did, and we need to face that, okay?"
"How can you act like nothing happened Sam? How can you? MY MOM JUST DIED! YOU DON'T SEEM TO CARE!" Cassie sobbed harder, she tried to convince herself that her mother wasn't dead but it didn't do any good.
"I do care about her, I loved her, she was like a sister to me, it hurt me like heck when she died, but we all have to get over it sometime!"
Cassie wiped away her tears. "I know, but I don't want her dead…"
Sam hugged Cassie. "I know honey, I don't want her dead either, but she is, and we have to face it."
Cassie nodded and buried her face into Sam's chest.
