His voice stirs me up. I'm afraid that the distance between us will make him feel my struggle in breathing as a result of my nervy state.
He stood strong and still keeping me in between his arms. He is right for telling me I don't know him at all but, he is a monster, and that's for sure.
I feel my knees soft and I'm going to break down any minute. I gulp and gasp for air.
"Why are you doing this to me?" I manage to utter those words despite my trembling condition. He raises one brow and smirk curves on his lips, mocking me.
"Maybe for the slap you gave me from the last time. I am collecting charges for the damage caused," he growls and I unconsciously bit my lower lip. Cold and sticky sweats drop on my forehead.
I'm praying for somebody to show up in our place right now so he will let me go but unfortunately, nobody dares to pass by.
I can't take this anymore. I need to let go of his arms especially from caging me in.
I push him away and finally, remove his arms from confining me. I run as fast as I could without looking back. I head back straight into the classroom. I stop in front of the door and fall to my knees gasping for air. Everyone looks at me then Chocho runs in my direction and looking all so worried.
"Hey, what happened?" she asks and holds me to stand straight. I face her and respond, "Come with me, I'll explain in the cafeteria." and drags her to the place.
"The jerk is into bugging me to hell," I scoff, and Chocho's forehead wrinkles. She is clueless about what I am saying. So, I explained.
"So, he does use the opportunity to toy you around," she utters in disgust. I nod helplessly and let out a sigh.
"I need to get back the letter from him as soon as possible," I say with determination. The jerk needs to stop.
"But, how will you do that?" she queries while grabbing her phone from her pocket and taps on it.
"Um... I think whenever the chances take place," I say optimistically. She nods in agreement and I have to use all the ways to get out of this situation. My carelessness led me to this crap.
"You still have twenty-six days left," she reminds and it sickens me to think that it is still too far for my freedom to take effect. I just need one perfect opportunity and this hell of a thing will be over.
P.E. Class
Everyone's busy changing with their P.E. uniforms and I just got changed.
"Let's go to the field," Chocho invites me to get there already. We will be having a false race. This is a preparation for our upcoming relay that will be done at our next meeting. It's part of our activity in the subject.
When I realized that everyone's almost in the field, I look for the jerk. Where the hell is he? Our teacher isn't here yet.
"Hey, Chocho I think I forgot something. I'll be back," I leave her together with the rest and head back to our classroom. I'm walking in the hallway when I noticed the jerk's presence and he is walking his way out of the building. I did not tremble nor fear his presence I just walk head-on. He is not looking at me and I try my best not to stare at his face too until our paths crossed. I walk straight past him and he does too. I sigh in relief after I successfully overcome his presence.
Yeah!
I immediately run into our classroom and do what I must do. I walk inside and proceed not to my desk but the jerk's desk. I stop upon standing in front of his chair. His bag was there lying on. You are right, I am trying to get back the letter. I'm pretty sure it's inside his bag. I know it's bad going through other people's property but I just want my stolen property back.
God, forgive me for doing this. I won't do this again. I pray in my mind. How absurd.
I grab his bag from the chair and put it on the table. I slowly open the zipper, my hands shake while doing it, to be honest, this is the first I'm doing this. Terrible.
I scan through his things. Damn! He only has few notes and a pen. Is he a student or a visitor in class?
I scan through his notebooks and even turn them upside down but nothing falls from them. Where the hell was it?"
"What are you doing?"
Holy crap!
I know who exactly is the owner of that voice. My knees tremble when I realized I was caught on the spot. I did not turn and I wait for another word to come out. I don't know how to face him. What a jerk! Why is he here?
Kawaki's POV
She pushes me away and she got the chance to escape from my sight. She runs away like a child. It was just a simple bluff but it made her react like that. How funny.
I just let her go and proceed to walk my way to the rooftop. I don't have anything for Kiwi this time and I don't think he was there waiting for me. Anyways, I still want to come.
The surging wind welcomes me when I open the door to the rooftop. It aggressively wafts my hair. I just keep my pace and proceed on top of the water tank. Kiwi is not around. If he has no family, I will adopt and take him at home so I have somebody at least to talk to or waste my time with. I waited for him but he did not show up so I decided to go home instead of when the bell rings.
I walk in the streets and stop by a popular store in the area. I saw a familiar face glued on the wall.
"Tch, a new movie huh? What an annoying face," I smirk and walk away.
P.E. Class
Everyone rushes to the field after changing their P.E. uniforms. I am the only one left in the locker and taking my time. If I go there first, will I get extra points? The answer is no.
I walk in the hallway it doesn't surprise me when stupid girls whisper when I walk past them, they always do that and it is disgustingly peevish.
My eyes gleam when I see the dork's coming my way. She is walking in my direction. I try not to look at her when she moves closer to me. We cross paths without looking at each other.
And that makes me wonder. She usually scowls at me when she sees me around but this time she has not shown such a face. Something's wrong here. I turn to watch her and she then runs back to the classroom.
Instead of going to the field, I make a turn and follow her. When I arrived, she was standing in front of my desk and searching through my bag. She is looking for... the letter.
I slowly walk inside so she won't notice me. When I get closer to her I speak, "What are you doing?"
I see how she was stunned when I spoke. She did not move nor utter a sound.
"What are you searching from my bag?" I add and she still did not respond to me. I know she is looking for her letter. I ain't that dumb to not get that.
She slowly moves and turns her head in my direction. Her eyes are angry I can tell. She left my bag lie open on the table.
"I'm just trying to retrieve my personal property that someone has stolen and is using in evil," she responds with conviction in her words. I chuckle at her statement.
"You are saying I have stolen your lame love letter? And did you just say I use it in a wicked manner? As far as I can remember, it is due to your negligence and boastfulness," I say and forced a laugh.
"Just give it back. I can't take this cruelty of yours anymore. I don't know what did I do wrong to make you do all of this crap to me," her voice raises. She is holding back the tears in her eyes, the tears of hatred towards me.
"I ain't dumb for leaving that precious tramp card in your reach. Don't worry I keep it in a safe place, far away from the blonde idiot's touch," I utter and walk past her and return my belongings inside the bag.
"You are..." she utters faintly.
"You will be punished soon for your foolish actions. The thirty-day deal is not over yet," I say while still packing my things. She runs off the room without saying anything.
When I get back to the field, our teacher is already there and giving announcements. I glanced at the dork and she's attentively listening to him.
"In our next meeting, we will be doing the relay. The class will be divided into two teams," he announces and I notice some are excited based on their reactions.
"That sounds cool!" that brushy brows' eyes glitter upon hearing about it. Weirdo.
"Further, there is a twist about the relay that is to encourage you to do your best here," he adds. I don't like twists they are bad luck to me.
"Twist?" the group of idiots repeated. The teacher nods.
"The winning team will be exempted in the pre-final examination," he finally announces. It sounds kind of interesting. You don't have to study and fail.
"Whoa! I like that!" some of them say in a very enthusiastic voice. Lazy people like me like the idea.
"We will divide the class in two now. I have a box here that contains papers that indicate 'RED' and 'BLUE'. The color you draw is your team," he says and shakes the box in front of us.
He makes us fall in line and pick inside the box one by one. Guess what? I was the last and I picked blue.
"All red please fall in line here," he commands and those who have picked the color line on his left facing him.
The team includes the blonde idiot, the dork, the annoying amateur director, the glasses lad, the lazy lad, the girl with an annoying crying face, the short kid, and the moron I fought with before.
"And for the blue team this line please," he proceeds and we fall in line on his right facing him. My team includes the transferred girl, the dork's fatass friend, the peevish blonde, the self-proclaimed artist, the blue-haired poet, the weirdo brushy brows, and the scriptwriter.
What a team of weirdos we have!
"I'll give the rest of the time for your discussion and preparations. If you have questions see me in the faculty room. That's all and good luck," he says and leaves right away.
I think I know how to make an easy win...
