Chapter 2
Midnight
"Shouta~"
"GAH!"
Kaminari looks away from the television when he hears Midnight's voice and manages to catch a sight of her pouncing Mr. Aizawa, who was peacefully grading in the kitchen at the dining table until she showed up.
"Nemuri, let go of me!" he hears Mr. Aizawa shouts bracing against the table with his hands as he is being pushed down by Midnight, who has her arms around him and hugging him from behind.
"Oh don't be so mean, Shouta. You love this!" Midnight replies, now has her feet off the ground and legs swinging in the air, further pushing Mr. Aizawa down.
"Nemuri, get off!"
He watches curiously as Midnight refuses to let go no matter how much Mr. Aizawa threatens her. He had heard that beside Present Mic, the closest friend to Mr. Aizawa is none other than Midnight herself. It's very weird to think that a suggestive figure like Midnight is close to Mr. Aizawa who is the exact direct opposite.
Just how did those two get so close to each other?
And how did Mr. Aizawa and Present Mic get close to each other?
"Gyah~ Shouta~"
He snaps back to reality when he hears Midnight's… suggestive voice. He sees her being wrapped up by Mr. Aizawa's scarf and she has a… pleased look on her face.
"Tighter, Shouta!"
"Enough of that, Nemuri!"
Mr. Aizawa quickly releases her who collapses onto the ground and wraps her arms around herself. Her shoulders are moving up and down as if she's out of breath.
"Geez, Shouta," he hears Midnight starts, panting. "I didn't realize you are into that kind of thing."
"Nemuri!"
He respectfully returns his attention back to the television before him, ignoring all the… noises happening behind him.
"What's… going on back there?"
"Don't."
"Ok."
.
"Your training today is a little special," Mr. Aizawa says, gaining everyone's attention in the gym Alpha. Sero has to slap his arm to get his attention together or Mr. Aizawa won't be happy with him. "Assisting you today will be Midnight here." He gestures towards the R-Rated Hero who is standing beside him.
"That would be me!" Midnight says cheerfully as she waves at them when she is addressed.
"As for what the special training today, well, you're going to find out while at it," Mr. Aizawa informs them with that creepy smile of his. He gulps, feeling a shiver running up his spine and his blonde hair standing on ends. This ought not to be good…
Before anyone can move, Midnight suddenly grabs Mr. Aizawa's chin.
"I am Eraserhead and I love my students!" Midnight says in a deep voice, mimicking Mr. Aizawa's voice as she moves his chin as if he's the one talking.
Now, he feels the intense, heavy air surrounding him and his peers. It's harder for him to gulp.
Midnight is surely dead from this stunt of hers.
"Midnight," Mr. Aizawa growls out in a warning tone as his face twists into a scowl. Mr. Aizawa turns his head the best he can with her hand still on his chin to give her a glare that would make his friends (and himself) weep. "Get your hands off of me."
"Ah~ Just call me Nemuri!" Midnight wags a finger from her free hand playfully to his face. He only glares harder.
"Not while at work."
"Not while at work," Nemuri says while moving Mr. Aizawa's mouth, mimicking his voice again. Mr. Aizawa finally slaps her hand away and returns his gaze back on them, but Midnight only giggles and presses herself into his side. "You're no fun sometimes, Shouta."
"Not whi- Just… get on with it," Mr. Aizawa says with a sigh of defeat, not bothering to push Midnight off of him. Midnight giggles again. He then notices her sinking her hand into Mr. Aizawa's pocket that is the opposite side of her.
"You better start running, lovelies," Midnight tells them as she pulls out a cat-o-nine tail whip from the pocket. Why does Mr. Aizawa have that in his pocket in the first place? "Don't get let me get my hands on you~"
Then, her lips stretch out into a smile that is eerily similar to Mr. Aizawa's.
He's the first person to book it from there, follow by his peers.
What the heck is up with Mr. Aizawa and Midnight?
.
When he opens the door to the teacher's lounge, he feels like he had walked in on something that he shouldn't see. There are a few things he's seeing and he doesn't know which one is worse than the other.
One, Present Mic is tied up again, completely wrapped up by Mr. Aizawa's scarf again, and he's hanging by the ceiling again. The only things that are visible are his eyes and his banana hair.
Two, there is a pile of suspiciously familiar looking leather costume placed right beneath the tied up Mic. He rather not thinks about it too much.
Three, standing before the bound Mic, Mr. Aizawa has his face buried between Midnight's breasts, seemingly against his will judging by his flailing while Midnight holds him there.
"Let go of me!"
"Oh you poor baby, you need all the love you are lacking that I would gladly give~"
"Nemuri!"
"Louder, Shouta~!"
He's starting to regret entering here.
"Mrph!" Mic's muffled voice gains his attention. Looking up at the bound man, Present Mic is looking at him. From his curved eyes, he thinks the Voice Hero is smiling at him.
"Oh, Kaminari!" His eyes move to Midnight, who is now smiling at him. He thinks Mic's muffled voice gained her attention too and realized that he is here. "Is there you need here?"
Before he could utter a single word, Mr. Aizawa finally manages to push her away from him. He straightens up, ignoring the outburst coming from Midnight and turns towards him.
"You got the papers, Kaminari?" Mr. Aizawa asks him. He can only awkwardly hold up said papers for his teacher to see. "Good, put it on my table." He gestures towards one that has his yellow sleeping bag draped over the chair. He carefully puts the papers on the table.
As soon as he turns back to them, Mr. Aizawa and Midnight are now on the ground, with Midnight on top of his Homeroom teacher pinning him down. Once more, Midnight has Mr. Aizawa's head pushed between her breasts.
"Shouta~"
"NEMURI!"
He looked away for only a second.
"I could feel it, Shouta."
"Fu- Nem- Get-"
He quickly makes his way out the lounge, not even bother by how loud he closed the door behind him.
His skin crawls at the thought that Mr. Aizawa and Midnight.
He gags.
Still, Mr. Aizawa and Midnight…?
.
When he's entering the common area there's already quite a commotion. Entering further, he finds most of his peers at the couch, or more specifically crowding around the couch. All the ladies are there, plus a few of the other boys. All of them have a wide smile on their faces.
"Kaminari!" Ashido calls out to him once he is close enough. "Have you heard about Mr. Aizawa and Midnight?!" He raises an eyebrow, wondering what pops that question. Then, he looks at the couch and finally sees the occupants.
Mr. Aizawa is sitting there, but Midnight has her head on his lap. Both are wearing casual outfits too. Midnight has a book and a stack of papers on her belly; he thinks his peers caught Midnight reading while Mr. Aizawa grading. Mr. Aizawa has his arm resting around Midnight's shoulder, holding his glasses, while massaging his temples with the other hand.
"Ah, yeah… I guess I did…?" he answers awkwardly because he really does not want to think back about what had happened in the lounge area not too long ago. "I didn't realize that Mr. Aizawa and Midnight are… you know…" He shrugs.
They laugh and Midnight giggles. Mr. Aizawa only sighs.
"She's my half-sister," Mr. Aizawa says, removing his hand from his forehead.
He could feel his jaw drops at the revelation.
"Mr. Aizawa and Midnight are siblings?!" he almost yells.
"Half-siblings; brother from another mother," Mr. Aizawa clarifies.
"I know right?!" Hagakure yells back at him. "We didn't know you two are related!" she now yells at the teacher. He notices Mr. Aizawa cringes slightly at the volume while Midnight only smiles.
"Neither did us!" Midnight adds. "We only found out recently."
"And she has been a lot more insufferable ever since."
He watches as a pout forms on Midnight's lips. Then, she suddenly sits up, surprising Mr. Aizawa.
"Well I'm sorry for being insufferable, as you say," Midnight says in a pretty sharp voice as she pulls her knees to her chest and wraps her arms around her legs. "I'm just happy that I have a brother," she adds, looking away from Mr. Aizawa.
He feels the mood in the room solemn down as the joy quietly goes away at Midnight's saddened tone. He notices Mr. Aizawa visibly winces. Then, his teacher scratches the back of his neck, looking down at his lap.
"Look… Sorry… I didn't mean to make it sound like I… dislike it," he listens to Mr. Aizawa starts. He also notices the awkwardness because Mr. Aizawa is uncomfortable showing emotions, which is what he is doing now. "I also… am glad to finally meet a family…"
He admits that that was nice of Mr. Aizawa, probably the nicest for a long time (at least, he thinks so because he doesn't completely fully paying attention to Mr. Aizawa all the time because he's scary, man).
He moves his eyes to Midnight and… is she giggling?
Then, she suddenly throws herself at Mr. Aizawa, surprising him and everyone in the room.
"You're so cute when you apologize!" Midnight squeals as she wraps her arms around Mr. Aizawa. "It's one of the few times where you would show your soft side!"
"Stop saying anything, Nemuri!"
"I knew you love your older sister!"
"Half-sister!"
He stares at his teachers. It is still a little hard to believe that all this time ever since that moment (he shudders) they are not in a relationship. Instead, they are siblings. Well, half-siblings as Mr. Aizawa constantly clarifies.
…Do half-siblings interact like Mr. Aizawa and Midnight?
He decides to grab a drink from the kitchen, leaving the commotion for a little. On his way to the kitchen, he hears the conversation continues.
"You love to say how I am very clingy to you now that we are half-siblings, but aren't you the same?"
"Not as much as you."
"You're not denying it!"
"I said never such thing."
"Shouta!"
He stops right as he enters the kitchen.
"Why is Present Mic here? And why is he tied up again?"
"Love me, Shouta!"
"Get off of me, Nemuri!"
.
"…I never thought I would ever meet a family."
He freezes in his steps when he hears the familiar voice. He immediately presses his back against the wall and peeks around the corridor.
He sees his teachers' head peeking out from the couch.
It's midnight (total coincidence) and he was going down for a glass of milk to help him sleep because he had been tossing all night. He doesn't expect to come across his teachers down here, both still awake. He doesn't want to disturb them.
"I'm sorry, Shouta."
He blinks, a little confused. Why is Midnight apologizing?
"Illogical apology. You never knew I exist as I to you," he hears Mr. Aizawa replies in his usual gruff albeit quiet voice.
"But still, to think that a family is so close yet we never knew for fifteen years…"
"I was the bastard child, born from a whore. I was never expected to survive-"
"Stop. That. Shouta."
He turns away from his teachers and presses his back against the wall once more. He feels his skin crawls at Mr. Aizawa's words, beyond than the bad kind.
What does he mean never expected to survive? What kind of life had Mr. Aizawa gone through for him to say that?
"Never say that ever again." he could hear the waver in Midnight's voice even from afar. "Never devalue your own life."
"…Sorry."
"You are worth it, Shouta. Many are thankful that you are here."
"Yeah."
"…Are you feeling better, now?"
"…Yeah."
He had eavesdropped enough. He quietly makes his way to the stairway. He'll manage to go to sleep without the milk (he hopes). He pushes the door to the stairways-
"Mrph!"
-stepping over the bound Present Mic and makes his way to his floor.
He's sure-
"MRPH!"
He's sure Mr. Aizawa will be better now that he has his step-sister.
