Correction

Naruto was always going on about how people were wrong about him. "Just you wait and see! Someday I'll be the greatest Hokage!" He couldn't even begin to count how many times those words had left his lips. Of course, surprisingly few of those times were to the peers, and even friends, who called him "loser," "weakling," or "dead-last." No, contrary to popular belief, he would prefer to be called those things compared to some of the names he received. His peers might have mocked him, or scorned him, but it was better than the blatant hate and hostility he received from the villagers. They called him horrible, scathing names, names that caused wounds and tore off scabs and ripped open old scars – "dangerous for Konoha," "monster," "demon." Those names were the worst possible things he could hear, the opinions grating on his ears and his nerves. He couldn't stand what the villagers thought about him. Mostly, Naruto denied it. He gave them the spiel about future Hokage and great ninja and blah blah blah blah. Sometimes, he flashed them his brightest smile before sprinting to his ramshackle home. Sometimes, though, Naruto got tired of telling them he wasn't dangerous, or a monster, or a demon, of saying he'd prove them wrong. Sometimes, Naruto just wanted to prove them right.
