Readers, Kree! Sorry, I'm in a stupid mood. I know this is really corny, but I was listening to Josh Turner's song Angels Fall Sometimes and I thought this would make a good story for Sam & Jack. Yes, I am a huge SJ shipper. So don't get mad or try to sue me. I just wanted to get this out.
Jack shifted slightly in his spot on the couch. He didn't want to wake up the woman in his arms.
They had spent a nice night together, enjoying each other's company. He'd surprised her with
dinner, and then they sat on the couch in front of the fire listening to the radio. She'd fallen
asleep soon afterwards, and Jack was enjoying the feeling of her body lying against his. As a
new song came on the radio, Jack ran his fingers through her hair and listened to the music, the
words catching his attention.
My chances weren't good she was way out of my reach
How could she ever fall for some ol' boy like me
But here she lies asleep tonight in these arms of mine
And that goes to show angels fall sometimes
Jack didn't normally listen to country music, but every now and then Sam had it on. He liked this
song, however. He thought the words were accurate for his feelings. He certainly didn't know
how someone like Sam could fall for an old man like him. He definitely thought she was an angel.
She's been here long enough to see that I'm no saint by now
Every mornin' I wake surprised to find her still around
The love that she give to me could be no truer sign
Every now and then angels fall sometimes
Sam had known him long enough to see all of his bad sides. Everything they had been through
in the ten years they'd known each other had done that. He would wake up some mornings and
think that it had all been a dream, but then he would see her and know it was true. That didn't
mean he wasn't surprised about it though.
She brings pieces of heaven every day into my life
She's been my inspiration with her by my side
I'm not afraid to dream high
The love that she gives to me could be no truer sign
Every now and then angels fall sometimes
Yeah, I thank the Lord angels fall sometimes
Jack could find no reason for Sam to love him. He could only accept her love and give his own in
return. He surely thanked God-if there was one- that he had Sam in his live, and that she loved
him like she did. He was glad that angels fell sometimes, and was so thankful that his angel had
fallen.
Finis.
