Treating Master Raven

Manji Clan Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan…

Some time passed since Raven's superior officer last appeared at the Manji Village. Kunimitsu monitored her progress at the King of Iron Fist Touranment up until the fight against Kazumi Mishima. Kunimitsu deliberately avoided Master Raven when she returned to the Manji Village for a second time by going to bed even though it was late in the night. The next day when she woke up from a long sleep, Raven gave Kunimitsu the bad news while she put on her robe.

Kunimitsu (yawning): "Morning husband. I slept a long time. Forgive me."

Raven (Dressed in his ninja gear): "I hope it was good because I got some bad news. Master Raven has been defeated."

Kunimitsu (Surprised): "Nani?"

Raven: "Phoenix is bringing her back here for medical treatment. I already notified the doctor. Phoenix should be here at the village at any minute now."

Kunimitsu: "How bad is your master hurt?"

Raven: "She's pretty messed up. However, with your clan's Medicinal Herbs and the doctor's diagnosis, I expect master to have a fast recovery."

By the time Kunimitsu changed into her kimono, Master Raven's hovercraft landed on the Village Helipad with Phoenix (Raven's teammate) coming out of the vehicle first. Raven helped Phoenix take Master Raven out of the hovercraft carefully. Some medical staff were on standby to retrieve Master Raven as a patient. They placed her in the ambulance and drove Master Raven to the Village Infirmary. Kunimitsu called her personal carrier to travel by horseback towards the Infirmary with Raven and Phoenix.

Out of nowhere, flying over the ambulance was Eliza of all people. She found out about Master Raven being defeated after eavesdropping on a conversation from a village mail carrier. Eliza followed the ambulance over at the hospital. Before the medics could take Master Raven out of the vehicle, Eliza appeared before them and the paramedic workers were frightened.

Eliza: "Huh? Hey! Why are you guys running! I won't bite you! I promise!"

Kunimitsu's limo came from behind as the couple, plus Phoenix, got out of the car. The ninjas were all surprised to see the vampire girl present in the daylight hours, wide awake at that. Master Raven was still lying out of the elements and unconscious. Raven rushed to his master's side while Kunimitsu wanted an explanation on why Eliza scared the paramedics away.

Kunimitsu: "Eliza! What the hell are you doing? Why aren't you in the shack? And why did you scare off my hospital workers?"

Eliza: "I didn't mean to! Let me explain please!"

Phoenix: "Guys let's just get Master Raven inside! There is no point in arguing when Master Raven needs to be treated!"

Raven: "Let me push the rolling bed inside! Phoenix tell the nurse we are here!"

Phoenix: "Understood!" (Goes inside the Emergency Lobby)

Eliza: "Guys! Let me take care of it!"

Raven (Stops): "What do you mean?"

Kunimitsu: "Eliza! Master Raven is not snack food! If you want blood then you better wait until we are done here!"

Eliza: "No! I can heal Master Raven with my powers!"

Phoenix: "Really! You can do that?"

Eliza: "Yeah, but I need some place that's real dark in order to concentrate my energy!"

Raven: "Okay, we can allow you do that here at the hospital. There is no more time to waste!" (Pushes forward.)

Phoenix notified the nurse about Master Raven but Raven quickly said just to place Master Raven in a vacant room and close off any lights so Eliza could do her spell. Kunimitsu and Phoenix were really skeptical about this, but Raven had full confidence in Eliza's ability. All they could do now is wait.

Inside the hospital room…

Eliza had the whole room to herself now. In order to begin the spell, Eliza would need a blood sample. Master Raven had bruises everywhere in the upper body but her neck veins would prove to be the most sufficient for taking a good blood sample. The vampire could see within the darkness and leaned down to bite on Master Raven's neck. The pain made the kunoichi grimace, but it was not enough to wake her up. Eliza made sure not to go overboard with thirst and took her mouth off the ninja's neck after a good 5 seconds. Without interruptions, most of the wounds would be completely healed. Eliza then touched Master Raven's head side by side and concentrated hard by harnessing her aura into the ninja's nervous system. Little by little, the cuts and deep brusies on Master Raven were quickly recovering.

Outside the room, at the outpatient lounge section…

Kunimitsu: "Just what could that vampire be doing to Master Raven?"

Raven (Sitting by Kunimitsu): "I dunno. I just hope Eliza can heal Master Raven back in good health."

Phoenix: "Raven…that girl is really a vampire?"

Raven: "Believe it or not yes."

Phoenix: "I mean. Who is she?"

Raven: "A vampire our master found from Monaco. Our master hopes Eliza will support the investigation by fighting the Zaibatsu and G Corp. To keep her existence a secret, master decided to hide her here at the Manji Village. So far, everything is going to plan. Whenever Eliza will be utilized to help with the investigation remains to be known even by me."

Phoenix: "She's that powerful? No wonder Master Raven was so keen on finding her."

Kunimitsu: "Either way, Eliza is overstaying her welcome at my village. Now that she has made herself known to more of the locals, I don't believe they will sit idly by and let us keep her around here."

Phoenix: "Aren't most the villagers here ninja? Surely they have some spells to keep a powerful vampire at bay."

Kunimitsu: "Not all of them are ninja. Half of the people here are commoners and refugees from different parts of the world. So I would not count on them to subdue such a creature by themselves. Now I did place a talisman on the back of Eliza's neck to keep her from leaving the village, but it's one of my stronger ones. It's not enough to keep her from going on a rampage. Which is what makes me so nervous about her."

Raven: "She won't stoop that low. Not while I'm here."

Kunimitsu: "I wouldn't take any chances. If Eliza gets ticked off for any reason, we all may have to fight for our lives."

Out of the blue, Eliza files out of the doors going form the ICU to the outpatient lounge where the ninjas were waiting. They were all shocked at Eliza's sudden outburst. The vampire was so happy that she announced her success of healing Master Raven.

Eliza: "Everyone! Come see what I did for the Raven lady!"

Kunimitsu: "Wait a minute! Why is there blood residue around your lips? Don't tell me you killed her Eliza!"

Eliza: "No! No! She's alive! She's alive! C'mon!"

Phoenix: "I'm coming!"

Raven (To Kunimitsu): "Did you really have to say that?"

Kunimitsu: "Well…yeah! You know how much Eliza like human blood!"

Raven: "I hope you are bluffing!" (Starts running.)

Kunimitsu (Shakes her head): "Me and my big mouth." (Runs)

The ICU was on the 2nd floor of the three story hospital. Eliza bounced around like a little kid as she opened the door and signaled everyone to come in. When they all got inside, everyone could see Master Raven sitting up looking at the window outside and then looking back at them. Safe to say even she was surprised to see that her injuries were healed. In fact, Master Raven felt more energy prior to the fight against Kazumi Mishima.

Master Raven: "Guys? Where am I?"

Raven: "Master! You're feeling ok? Are you woozy?"

Master Raven: "I…I feel amazing! Can I stand up?" (Gets on her feet off the bed with no problems). "I feel better than ever! But how?"

Eliza: "I healed you!"

Master Raven: "Eliza? You did this?"

Eliza: "Yes Raven. I found out within in the village you lost a fight and that you were coming back here. So I waited until I felt your life force slip away. I tracked you down here and with my power I could heal you myself."

Master Raven: "Wow! Um…Thanks Eliza. I never knew you possessed the ability to heal humans."

Eliza: "Well I can only do it in dark places. If I do it in the day time I sweat really hard and I feel so hot. I really hate it!"

Phoenix: "In order words she dehydrates if exposed to hot temperatures during her healing ritual. Is that right?"

Eliza: "What is dehydrate?"

Phoenix: "It's when your body loses fluids like water for example, due to stress and heat. You could get a seizure or a stroke from it."

Eliza: "Hmmm…I think I get it now."

Kunimitsu: "At any rate. Now that Master Raven is healed like you promised Eliza. I owe you an apology for doubting you."

Eliza: "It was nothing really. I told you I could do it."

Kunimitsu: "Now let us leave this hospital. I need to speak with the head doctor of this clinic and tell him about your existence Eliza. I suggest you return to the manor until I make it back."

Eliza: "Alright." (Moody response.)

45 minutes later, Manji Clan Manor…

Kunimitsu returned to the manor as she found Master Raven back in her ninja outfit. It looked like she was ready to go as she sat in meditation on the floor. Phoenix was talking with Raven as they both were sitting on the sofa in the great room watching TV surprisingly. Eliza was on the other couch sleeping again.

Kunimitsu: "I'm back everyone!"

Raven (Turns around): "Welcome home."

Kunimitsu (Looks at Eliza): "Asleep again?"

Raven: "I think the healing spell made her exhausted. Either way, she does this all the time."

Phoenix: "I'm glad Eliza was able to heal master and I'm glad Kunimitsu allowed us to enter the village in order to get master help."

Raven: "Of course, it was our pleasure." (To Kunimitsu) "What did you speak with the head doctor about?"

Kunimitsu: "I told him I was sorry for the interruption of his establishment since Eliza came out of nowhere. And that it would not happen again. Now this doesn't mean that everything is gonna return to normal. More villagers will know about her existence. They may try to ask me or force Eliza out of here."

Phoenix: "That's not fair. Eliza hasn't done anything wrong."

Kunimitsu: "It's what she is that has some of them so worried, not what she is currently doing."

Phoenix: "Oh I forgot…not all of these people are actual ninjas."

Master Raven (Opens her eyes): "That's enough Phoenix!"

Phoenix: "Sorry…master. Forgive my impudence."

Master Raven (Stands up): "My next fight is against Jin Kazama, a week from today. I need to report back to HQ about what happened. I'm sure the CO is wondering where I am. Not to mention I need to know what Condor, Finch, and Tweet are up to."

Phoenix: "You need me to take you back master?"

Master Raven: "No that won't be necessary. Until I decide on what to do with Eliza, Phoenix please stay here with Raven and watch her movements. If the people want her out of the village, then we will have to move Eliza again elsewhere. Do not engage them for Kunimitsu's sake. As long as the Zaibatsu and G Corp are not aware of her location. Then our trump card is still at play."

Phoenix: "Hai. Master." (Bows)

Raven (Nods): "Sounds like a plan."

Kunimitsu (Smirks): "Well stated Master Raven. Before you go…tell me…just how powerful is this Kazumi Mishima?"

Master Raven (Walks and stops shoulder to shoulder with Kunimitsu): "She's a worthy opponent. Very formidable, not just in combat, but also because she too possesses the Devil Gene."

Kunimitsu was shocked. Raven and Phoenix were not because Phoenix was present in the Kazumi vs Master Raven match and she told Raven all about Kazumi's abilities. Safe to say Kunimitsu was troubled by this revelation, but then she put the puzzle together.

Kunimitsu: "I see. So this is how the infamous Devil Gene was passed down to Kazuya and even his son. It was never of Mishima origin to begin with."

Master Raven: "I don't care where it came from, but now it's clear that these people need to be dealt with. Tell Eliza that I have to leave again and thank you. Both of you."

Kunimitsu: "I will."

Master Raven leaves out of the manor with the key to Phoenix's hovercraft…

Phoenix: "Ok…So! I get to stay here at the village for a little while. I promise to be on my best behavior Raven!"

Raven: "I hope so Phoenix. You just turned 22 but you still act like a pre teen."

Phoenix: "No I don't! He's lying Kunimitsu! What a lunkhead!"

Raven: "Whatever."

Phoenix: "It's not whatever! : P!"

Kunimitsu (Giggles): "I guess things will be a little lively here with you around. Raven could you take that snoring vampire back in her shack please? Oh and Phoenix how good are your babysitting skills?"

Phoenix: "Are you asking me to look after your son? That's so nice of you! I do like babies."

Kunimitsu: "Good. Come walk with me to the elders house and I will introduce you to Karasu."

Phoenix: "Alright! Later Raven!"

Raven (Looking at the women leave and then the snoring Eliza on the couch): "Yeah…later."
