Email Session 6
Manji Clan Manor, Manji Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan…
With their relationship rekindled, Kunimitsu and Raven returned to the village late that night. Kunimitsu had planned to speak with the elder the next day in order to best proceed with explaining to all of the villagers about Raven's return. Some people were not happy with Raven's actions with Eliza, but they did not know that he was under a spell. Depending on the Elder's opinion, Kunimitsu planned to host a town hall meeting to address her husband's return. In the morning hours, Kunimitsu decided to look into her emails again since it had been a while doing so. Her husband would get to reunite with their son, Karasu, as the two left the manor for a private walk in the hilly woods.
Kunimitsu (Sips on Tea): "As I expected, a lot more people wanna know what I have been up to." (Sighs.) "Better brace myself for this."
Email #1: "Kunimitsu! Is it true that your husband had an affair? How are you doing at this moment? I am worried about you!"
Kunimitsu: "Oh I see this is from one of the villagers." (Types.) "My husband and I have reconciled. I will explain everything about what happened in a meeting later tonight hopefully. If you can please be there. Thank you for your concerns. I am doing better now."
Email #2: "Eliza should pay with her life! If Raven cheated on you with her, then he should die as well! No one betrays the Manji and gets away with it!"
Kunimitsu: "Calm down. I talked things over with Raven. I will explain everything in detail tonight at the town hall meeting. I do not want any acts on violence or threats to my husband. I expect all Manji to be more civilized. That includes you."
Email #3: "Did you know there is an anime with a woman that looks just like you. Only difference is her hair is purple and her clothes are more casual. Oh and she has a Chinese name."
Kunimitsu: "Really? What is the show called?"
Email #4: "Did you see the fight between the new ninja Master Raven and Dragunov? Is that woman related to your husband somehow?"
Kunimitsu: "No I did not see it live. I only heard that Master Raven won the fight. And yes, I know about her. She is Raven's teammate and the leader of his clan."
Email #5: "Have the Manji been to score some big valuables lately? Has stealing from the rich been hard on you guys because of the wars?"
Kunimitsu: "Actually, it's been easier for us since the war started. My guys scored some big hits in China and Thailand for example. One ninja of mine even stole a big ruby from a Thai drug lord. He later got arrested. The poor sucker!"
Email #6: "I wonder why Raven cheated on you. He seemed like a good person despite his stoic nature. What happened?"
Kunimitsu: "I found and talked with him. We are back together again. I will explain everything later tonight."
Email #7: "Just learned that Yoshimitsu will enter the elimination rounds especially if he wins his next match tomorrow. Has he tried to contact you at all?"
Kunimitsu: "No he has not. I will keep an eye out for his whereabouts. He could challenge me for the leader position of the clan, but I will not allow him to take it that easily."
Email #8: "Are there are any cute ladies at the Manji village? I never hooked up with a ninja chick before. How can I get in the village?"
Kunimitsu: "Seriously? Do you wanna get banned?"
Email #9: "Is it true that you had a vampire live in your village? I thought they were just legends!"
Kunimitsu: "Well…yes it was a vampire in my village. She's gone now. You don't have to be concerned anymore assuming you are Manji of course."
Email #10: "Hello Kunimitsu. This is Han Myu from Taichung, Taiwan. I would like to thank your clan for helping us with more rations after our town was burned down by G Corp fighting against the rebels. We will continue to act against their treachery. Their crimes will be paid for rest assured!"
Kunimitsu: "Thanks Han, but do not let your men's lives go to waste. G Corp has a strong grip on Taiwan. It would be bad for you guys to die by their hands with no one to help the poor in that country. Be safe out there. My men will continue to provide you guys with the support you need."
Email #11: "Will you ever do a webcam with your mask off?"
Kunimitsu: "No."
Email #12: "Yesterday Jin Kazama forfeited his fight against Miguel, but the guy spared his life. What your thoughts on Jin's fight?"
Kunimitsu: "I did not hear about that. That man should have killed him! Jin is responsible for much of the calamities happening around the world. How many times must he escape punishment? This is crazy!"
Email #13: "Are you taking more request to fix appliances? My dryer broke down and I hear you Manji can fix it more a cheaper price. What do you think?"
Kunimitsu: "I cannot take that request at this time. However, you may get it fixed by one of my ninja mechanics. I can notify them about your problem, just as long as you send a request to our post office or website."
Email #14: "Kunimitsu I'm sure things have rough on your clan because of the war. When do you believe it will finally end?"
Kunimitsu: "When will the war be over? Once somebody cuts off the head of Heihachi, or kills Kazuya. The only other problem is that boy Jin. What will he do? Take over the world again? If so, then he must be dealt with too."
Email #15: "Other than Yoshimitsu, do you think you have any other ninja rivals standing in your way? Maybe that Master Raven woman might give you trouble in the near future. I was just wondering is all."
Kunimitsu: "No. Not that I know of. Master Raven I am well acquainted with her. We do not have trouble with each other as now. Hopefully it will remain that way."
Email #16: "Did you leave the Manji Village to find Raven? What will you do once you find him?"
Kunimitsu: "Yes I did leave the village because of him. I found Raven and we made up. I will explain later in the meeting tonight for the village."
Email #17: "Hello Kunimitsu. How is your family doing? Is Karasu getting any bigger?"
Kunimitsu: "Hey! We've had quite a roller coaster of things happen in our village, but everything is ok now. If I explain on this email it would look like an autobiography. Lol. Rest assured we are fine. Karasu is getting bigger and faster too. He always makes me or his maids chase after him. It's too cute!"
Email #18: "Kunimitsu tell me what you are doing at this very moment!"
Kunimitsu: "Typing at you obviously."
Email #19: "What is the most difficult thing about being a leader of a ninja village?"
Kunimitsu: "I think as long as I maintain an open mind, nothing I do as a leader can be too difficult. It's also important to have wise people around me in order to make the right decisions for everyone in my village. It's a privilege to be their leader. They did not have to choose me after Yoshimitsu sort of…died. And then he came back. I dunno, its complicated. The point is I am grateful to lead my people even in times of chaos."
Email #20: "Is it true that Yoshimitsu lost most of his limbs and even his reproductive system? Trying to keep it PC you know."
Kunimitsu: "Yes that is true. It is a mystery to even us Manji as to how he continues to live, although technology has played a big part in adding his lifespan. He never ceases to amaze me, despite his obnoxious behavior."
Email #21: "Are you going to kill Raven for what he did with that vampire girl?"
Kunimitsu: "No. He is back with me now. I will explain later tonight."
Email #22: "Which fast food place do you like better? Chanko Paradise or McDonalds?"
Kunimitsu: "I don't like either. I tried Chanko Paradise last month. Worst sushi I ever had."
Email #23: "I heard you were doing a town hall meeting just now. Can I watch it on the city website?"
Kunimitsu: "Yes, I will have one of my assistants film and set up the stream service for people who cannot get to the plaza. Do not worry."
Email #24: "Do you ever get dizzy or hallucinate when you fast teleport?"
Kunimitsu: "No. Not really."
Email #25: "Something's been bugging me about your handling of weapons. Are you right handed or left handed?"
Kunimitsu: "I use both hands. I'm ambidextrous. However, I write with my left hand." (Quits typing). "Whew, I need to stop while I am ahead."
Logs off her email account…
Later into the night…
The time had arrived for the town hall meeting at the village plaza. At least half of the townspeople showed up at the city plaza to look at Kunimitsu and a few of her council members who alongside her in the pavilion. Among then, was Elder Zuku. The elder met with Kunimitsu just hours before the meeting and felt it was necessary to inform the crowd about Eliza and Raven. Kunimitsu used the microphone in front of her to get everyone's attention.
Kunimitsu: "To all of the Manji people! I am grateful that you are here this evening. Now, allow me to explain why I must speak about my husband! Please understand!"
The explanation lasted for about 10 minutes. Most of the people grew quiet after Kunimitsu finally stopped talking. This was much to process for everyone present. So Raven was cast under a spell the vampire placed on him. The vampire forced him to elope on her. Out of anger, Kunimitsu kicked him and the vampire out of the village. Eliza was sent back to the village for an execution in which most of the villagers did not even know about until tonight. Kunimitsu then sought out her husband to find out the truth. When Kunimitsu was convinced of Raven's words, they decided to return at the village together. Out of Raven's safety, he did not present himself at the meeting.
Of course, some people asked where Raven was. All Kunimitsu would tell them was that Raven was in her manor watching their son. She informed the crowd that Raven will be present tomorrow if they really wanted to speak with him. Although Raven would have some protection, even though he doesn't need it given his high level of ninjitsu skill. It would be for his own good at least until the drama dies down. By the time the meeting was finished, Kunimitsu went back to the manor. Raven had just tucked in Karasu who was fast asleep. Kunimitsu called to him while he had his back turned in Karasu's bedroom.
Kunimitsu: "Raven?"
Raven: "Oh hey. Umm…how did it go?"
Kunimitsu: "You mean the meeting? It went about as smooth as expected."
Raven (Sighs): "I still think I should have been present out there."
Kunimitsu: "I told them you would be out tomorrow, of course you will not be roaming alone. I shall tag along and maybe Shinomatsu will too. Let's talk elsewhere."
Raven: "Yeah." (Leaving Karasu's room.)
Kunimitsu: "Were you two getting along?"
Raven: "Huh? Oh…you mean Karasu."
Kunimitsu: "Of course I meant him, so how did you boys do while I was away? You feed him for me?"
Raven: "I fed him, but it wasn't easy. Karasu made a mess of his pasta. When I tried to clean him up, he actually wanted to fight me. Then he fell and hit his head on the floor and started crying. That allowed me to hold him and calm him down. Okiryu cleaned up the kitchen for me as I took the boy to his bed."
Kunimitsu: "So he is still playing with his food. I'm not surprised."
Raven: "Yeah."
Kunimitsu: "No need to be so gloomy Raven. I'm glad Karasu got to see his father again. Even if he doesn't like you right now." (Giggles)
Raven: "Real funny."
Kunimitsu: "For what it's worth, I'm happy things are back to normal somewhat. With you by my side, I do not fear anyone. Not even the Mishimas."
Raven: "Kunimitsu…you really mean that."
Kunimitsu: "I do. Let's go to bed Raven. I'm so tired, but I need your warmth now."
Raven (Smirk.): "I will not say no to that. Come." (Picks up Kunimitsu all himself as they go upstairs for the master bedroom.)
