From Kunimitsu's POV…

Kunimitsu: "Now it's been 10 days. And I have not heard anything from my husband. I'm beginning to wonder if something bad happen to him or his team. Should I travel to Iraq and find out for myself. The other morning I watched the news about Heihachi Mishima's death in the last unofficial match of the tournament. It was a shock! And now his wife has taken control of the Zaibatsu, and from what my scouts have been saying, she has plans to use nukes to depopulate the planet! She truly is mad! Kuma took the news very hard. He hasn't left out of the cottage we set up for him for two days now. Minokatsu has kept an eye on him at least. So I know he's still there. I really need to hear something from Raven or else I will be forced to call in a meeting about the fate of our village. I cannot sit idle if Kazumi Mishima is so bent on killing off the population. There must be something we can do."

Kunimitsu went about her usual routine during the morning hours within the Manji Village. However, around the lunch break hour, there was a call from Master Raven. Shinomatsu was informed on this call by Okiku the house maiden of the Manor. Then Shinomatsu texted the message over to Kunimitsu while she was speaking with Elder Zuka about Heihachi's untimely demise. When the message was received by Kunimitsu through her smartphone, she immediately apologized to the Elder as she exited his house. She dialed the very number that Master Raven made the call from. Eventually after several rings, she got through and answered the head of the Shika Clan.

Kunimitsu: "Master Raven?"

Master Raven: "Oh it's you!"

Kunimitsu: "Yes it's me! Is everything alright?"

Master Raven: "Yes. I just wasn't expecting your call. I was about to sleep."

Kunimitsu: "Please tell me is Raven with you! Where is he?"

Master Raven: "It's alright. He is in the medical tent resting at Lars camp. Although tomorrow they will move him into one of their sister hospitals in the Phillippines."

Kunimitsu: "Where is this hospital?"

Master Raven: "It's called Camp Engano at the very northern part of Luzon Island. You can visit him there. He took a beating while we had to deal with Azazel."

Kunimitsu: "A beating? By who?"

Master Raven: "By Azazel, an ancient spirit from long ago. He was the one controlling Zafina's mind and body when we confronted her a few nights ago. Raven fought her by herself until Eliza and Tweet stepped in and save his life. That gave me time to free Zafina from Azazel's control. And that is what happened."

Kunimitsu (Sighs.): "So he is alive?"

Master Raven: "Yes. He's asleep. Eliza was able to heal his more serious wounds, but he will need to rehab a little to get his endurance back. He will not be ready in time to do something about the upcoming attack I heard the Rebels were planning to do soon."

Kunimitsu: "No! He is not fighting anytime soon. I'm just happy that he is alright. I will head there as soon as I can. Even if he is not there yet, I want to see that him."

Master Raven: "Well…I will not stop you. So I will try to get to Tokyo before it's too late and reunite with my clan. I cannot guarantee how quickly I can make it there."

Kunimitsu: "The Zaibatsu will fall. That I am sure of. Again, thank you for telling me about what happened. I will inform my people that I shall meet my husband."

Master Raven: "Okay. Oh, one last thing. Can you tell Phoenix to meet me in Yokohama tomorrow afternoon? I think we will be in that area by then. Hopefully."

Kunimitsu: "I will."

Master Raven: "Thanks. Master Raven out."

Kunimitsu (Hangs up.): "Raven. I'm coming!"

The next day, Camp Engano, Phillippines…

Kunimitsu wasted no time in leaving in her personal chopper with her son Karasu and Shinomatsu piloting the vehicle. Kunimitsu felt bad about leaving her people behind despite the turmoil taking place in Japan, but seeing Raven again was all she wanted to do at this point in time. Her chopper landed at the port of the resort camp around late evening hours. When they got off the chopper, the Rebel soldiers remaining at the camp said Raven did not arrive yet. Kunimitsu refused to rest despite getting a nap in with her son. So she stayed in her room while looking after Karasu until the sun rose. At that time, the Rebels finally called her and said her husband had arrived. He was awake and conscious. He was placed at the camp's medical tent and awaited for a physical report from the doctor there. Kunimitsu made her way there with her sleeping son in a specialized backpack.

Rebel Soldier: "Excuse me? But who are you?"

Kunimitsu: "Is Raven in there?"

Rebel Soldier: "Yes, but he needs to be evaluated before anybody else can see him."

Kunimitsu: "I still want to see him!"

Rebel Soldier: "I wasn't told that he would have visitors."

Kunimitsu: "Doesn't matter. Let me through!"

Rebel Soldier: "W…wha…wait a minute!"

Kunimitsu pushes the soldier out of her way as she entered the tent. And there was Raven popping up out of his bed hearing the commotion outside. He couldn't believe it. Kunimitsu was there with their child behind her back. She then stopped in her tracks before the angry soldier yelled at her again.

Rebel Soldier: "Lady, I don't know who you are but…!"

Raven: "Wait! It's okay! That's my…wife and son."

Rebel Soldier: "Huh?"

Raven: "Let her stay here just for a brief moment. Is that ok?"

Rebel Soldier (Shaking his head.): "Tch. The doctor will be soon. You better make it quick." (Leaves.)

Kunimitsu: "Hmph."

Raven: "Kunimitsu. Where am I?"

Kunimitsu: "The Philippines."

Raven: "Huh? I fell asleep but I had no idea they would take me to another country. Where is Master Raven, Tweet, and the vampire? And Zafina?"

Kunimitsu: "Not here. Master Raven and Tweet are on her way to Japan as we speak. I guess Eliza is there with them too. As for Zafina…well I don't know where she is."

Raven: "Master told you about what happened?"

Kunimitsu: "Yes, but I'm not entirely sure if what she told me is the truth."

Raven: "I did risk my own life to save Zafina. Something powerful took over her body for a time."

Kunimitsu: "Master Raven gave that spirit a name. Azaz…something."

Karasu starts crying…

Kunimtsu: "Oh no! Did you wake up because of mommy! I'm so swooweee!" (Turns the backpack over to console her son.)

Raven: "Are you still carrying Karasu like that?"

Kunimitsu: "I wasn't gonna take a stroller with me. It would only slow me down." (Points at Raven.) "Look who it is! Its da da! Say hi da da!"

Karasu quits crying and stares at his father…

Karasu: "Da da."

Kunimitsu: "You want to hold him?"

Raven reached out to his boy who he had not seen in over a week, but before he could grab his son, the soldier came back along with the doctor and two of his staff nurses. The brief family reunion got interrupted.

Doctor: "Excuse me. But now is time for Raven's checkup. May I ask that you leave out of the tent for about 15 minutes?"

Kunimitsu: "Fine then." (Kunimitsu walks off as Karasu begins to cry again.)

Kunimitsu spent all that time consoling her little boy since he got his sleep interrupted and the fact that he could not meet his father in a proper manner. However, Kunimitsu heard someone walking towards them. She looked to her left and saw a woman approach. Most of her body was covered by a light brown cloak but when Kunimitsu looked at her face, her eyes widened underneath her fox mask.

Kunimitsu: "Zafina?"

Zafina: "Greetings."

Kunimitsu: "Wait…you are here too?"

Zafina: "Yes…but its only for a few days. Just as a precaution."

Kunimitsu: "A precaution? I don't understand."

Zafina: "The spirit that took over me has been removed, but his influence still remains etched into my mind. So, I have been meditating to rid of these impure thoughts. I just needed to walk around until I spotted you."

Kunimitsu: "You were possessed?"

Zafina: "Yes. I thought I could control him with my spells, but he found a way to take over me as I was looking for the Hyena's Gaze dagger. He must have perceived it as a way to get back into his real form and take over the world."

Kunimitsu: "Damn. You always live life on the edge don't you."

Zafina: "I wouldn't put it that way. I was trying to do my duty as a tomb guardian for my people. And yet, I could not even save myself."

Kunimitsu: "Well…I was told about what happened with you. I am glad that things turned out alright. How are you feeling?"

Zafina: "I feel fine physically, but mentally I am tired." (Sits down on the stones near Kunimitsu's bench.)

Kunimitsu: "Did you come to see him? Raven?"

Zafina: "So he is here?"

Kunimitsu: "Well yeah. Didn't you know."

Zafina: "No. I was just told to stay here by Lars's doctors. Can you tell me where he is?"

Kunimitsu: "They placed him in that tent over there by the beach. He is being evaluated right now. We can see him together or we can go separate. It's up to you."

Zafina: "I will wait for the evaluation to end. We shall go in together."

Kunimitsu: "Alright."

Once the evaluation ended, the doctor and his staff came out of the tent. He approached Kunimitsu, Karasu, and Zafina by telling them that Raven is now allowed out the out tent as he passed his breathing evaluation. He was getting dressed in casual clothing and would be out of the tent soon.

Kunimitsu: "Well that's good. We can just wait for him to come out."

5 minutes later…

Raven finally came out of the tent, wearing flip flop sandals, long navy shorts stopping at the knees, and a purple Hawaiian style button shirt. He put on his patented shades covering his X crossed scar over his face as he right slightly to his right to find not only his family but Zafina standing behind them. Raven was certainly surprised to see Zafina along with his wife and son.

Raven: "Hey! Ummm…Zafina did you speak with Kunimitsu?"

Zafina: "Yes Hi Raven. I did." (Briefly smiling.)

Kunimitsu: "She was brought here too as a safety precaution."

Raven: "I see."

Karasu: "Da da!" (The boy hops off Kunimitsu and runs to Raven)

Raven: "Hehehe. Son. I missed you." (Picks him up.) "The day is still young. Why don't we try out the lunch here at this resort?"

Kunimitsu: "Alright. Did you eat yet Zafina?"

Zafina: "No I have not."

Kunimitsu: "Then come with us. Let's try out the resort's food."

Zafina: "Thank you."

The more she talked with Zafina, Kunimitsu figured out why Raven took a liking towards her before. Zafina was surprisingly easygoing and reserved. She felt a little bad about getting after Raven in the past about Zafina's alluring presence. Maybe the fire was still there between them, but Raven was keen to look after his son now it seems. For now, Kunimitsu would keep an eye on both her husband and Zafina, while her subordinates were monitoring the situation in the Manji Village as well as the ongoing raid happening in Tokyo with the Zaibatsu headquarters.
