Undomiel
Arwen Undomiel
Image of Tinuviel
Darkness come; mist crawling
Fires blaze through shadow falling.
She who danced in fair moon-glow
Now dances where the nightmares grow
Far gone now is hope and light;
fair-fleeting into shadow-night.
Where now is truth, where now is love
In last mournful cry of fallen dove
All such flowers dusk and fade
For coming now is ever-shade
So Arwen, the Undomiel
Who loves, as loved Tinuviel
Will thou follow path of mother;
or wait in despair for thine lover.
Will thou hear the gulls far-cries;
and to the West from Shadow fly?
Or turn a gaze butEastward yet
To darkness and the Shadow-threat.
