Oh look and update….

That took me longer than I thought, haha. Sorry about that guys. For the last few months, I didn't have the drive to write despite having a lot of ideas. That and I got used to some work. So here I am now able to write again. Although I am a bit rusty. This took me a while to write.

Also, I don't have much time to myself so yeah.

So please bear with me as I get into the swing of things again.

Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY nor this cop movie.

Eyes opened as some people groaned. Their bodies were a little sore as they stood up. Everyone in the Chronicle Theater seemed to have just awakened from sleeping a long time.

"What happened?" Ruby asked as she stretched her arms.

"I don't know," Summer replied as she looked around. "I thought we were going to watch something and then...nothing."

"Like we fell asleep for a long time," Neo said as she entered the lobby with Roman.

"Did something happen?" Kali asked worriedly as she stood by her husband.

"Nothing happened," the Curator said as he walked down, still dressed in his usher uniform. "It seems like we just lost power for a bit. I put you all into hibernation as to not harm your bodies and minds,"

"Thanks...I guess?" Qrow replied unsurely.

"Now be on your way, enjoy your time while we figure out what's happening in the multiverse. Some of you can come in to watch whatever world is on after retrieving a few snacks."

Most didn't question his words and went about the theater to do what they were doing. After all, the Curator had been forthcoming the entire time. No reason he'd be lying now.

Ozpin, Ironwood, Salem, and Cinder were suspicious but kept it to themselves.

It was teams RWBY, NPR, and Penny that entered the theater and took their seats. "What are we watching?" Penny asked the Curator who entered with them.

"Another Aura-less world. But Jaune has joined the police force," he told her.

"Nice!" Nora cheered. "I hope it's a buddy cop world."

The screen turned onto a dark road. A sign loomed in the night saying "You Are Now Leaving Patch". A slightly older, grim-faced Ruby pulled into a dark layby in her police car.

"Well, that's new. I didn't expect to be a police officer," Ruby piped up. She munched on her cookie as she watched.

"I mean, this is an Aura-less world like some previous ones," Weiss replied. "If you still had your dream of being a Huntress, I think this would be a good substitute."

"But why is she so…" Ren tried to find the right word for the look.

"Broken?" Nora provided for her boyfriend. Ren nodded in thanks.

The brake lights illuminated the sign with a hellish glow. Getting out of the driver's seat, Ruby opened the car trunk. She stood over the body of a bloodied Jaune.

"OH, GODS!" Pyrrha shouted seeing the dead form of the boy she loved. Everyone looked wide-eyed at the scene. Like they didn't expect it.

The knife Ruby used to stab him was protruding from his chest.

"Waitwaitwait...I killed Jaune?" Ruby shouted shocked. Yang looked at her sister and wanted to console her. This wasn't something Ruby, or anyone really, should have to go through.

"This isn't a dark universe is it?" Blake asked the Curator who was sitting comfortably in a chair, for once.

"It is not," the Curator replied. "I actually really like this world."

"So there's nothing to fear?" Penny asked in relief. The Curator just shrugged his shoulders.

Jaune slowly opened his eyes and looked at Ruby with confusion. Ruby slowly opened her hand to reveal several empty ketchup packets. "Ta-daaaa," Ruby said as she yanked the knife out of Jaune's chest.

"Oh, it was just a prank," Nora sighed in relief and wiped the sweat from her forehead. She was a little worried there.

"But why was he pretending to be dead?" Penny asked.

Jaune produced his police notebook from his breast pocket. Upon inspection, he saw that it had ketchup on it as well as the hole that should have killed him. "What are you doing?" he asks worriedly.

"Saving your skin," Ruby said as she hauls Jaune out of the car. The red hues of the tail light had engulfed both of them in its ominous presence.

"That's not telling at all," Yang snorted. Seeing as it was no longer something Ruby did, she may as well poke fun at her sister. "I'm guessing Ruby did something bad?"

"Hey!" said sister shouted.

"Ruby, this is murder," Jaune told her with a very angry face. The amount of fury and fear on his visage was almost palpable.

"Murder?" Pyrrha said worriedly. "I guess something is up."

"And Ruby did that ketchup gambit to save Jaune I guess," Blake surmised, going with whatever context clues she had.

"It's not, it's ketchup," Ruby replied with a very unsure look. She couldn't even look him in the face as she replied

"I'm not talking about that! I'm talking about all the others!" Jaune exploded at her.

"Others?" Ren said, furrowing his brow. This was starting to look far too serious now.

"What others?" she asked, denial slowly becoming obvious.

"All the others the NWA murdered!"

"NWA?" Nora asked. "What's that?"

"Neighborhood Watch Alliance," the Curator replied. "They are a bunch of citizens in Patch who are trying to ensure they win the Best Village of the Year Award in Vale."

"But...murder?" Penny asked incredulously.

"It has to do with the death of one person and the descent into madness of their leader."

"Who is?" Pyrrha asked but received no response.

Ruby shook her head. "That's not true."

"IT IS!" Jaune desperately yelled back.

"Dad just said it's his special club. I thought it was just about rapping knuckles and sending them on their way." As she spoke, Jaune clutched his head.

"Oh no…" Ruby dropped her jaw. "My mom's death caused all this?"

"It was a tragic twist of fate when she took her own life when she fell into depression after not winning that Best Village of the Year Award," the Curator said solemnly. "You were still young so you didn't understand your father's madness."

"But what about me?" Yang pointed.

"You don't exist here," the Curator replied. That caused the blonde brawler to flinch.

"There are skeletons back there Ruby!" Jaune looked at his only friend, hoping that she could see what he was trying to say. To see past her denial.

"I don't know nuffin about the skellingtons!" Ruby shook her head, unable to accept what was being said.

"Oh come on!" Nora groaned. "It seems like Ruby is going hard into denial."

"Her world was turned upside down, of course, she would be," Blake sighed, feeling sorry for the version of her friend and leader.

"What do you think was happening!"

"Not this!"

"It was Tai, Ruby. He's appointed himself judge, jury, and executioner."

"He's not Judge Judy and executioner!" Ruby was shaking her head even more, and her eyes could only focus on the ground.

"Judge Judy?" Pyrrha wondered. "What's that? Or rather who?"

"A celebrity TV Judge," the Curator said.

"He is Ruby! And you have to help me take him down!"

"I can't Jaune. He's my dad…"

Blake frowned and had a bit of regret. This was similar to when she had to make her own choice between her father and the White Fang. Funnily enough, it's in reverse but still.

"Take the car, go back to Vale. There's nothing you can do." The tone of despair could be heard in the red head's voice.

"I can come back!" Jaunce countered. "And I can bring the blue fury of the Metropolitan Police Service with me!"

"Yeah! Listen to him other-me!" Ruby pleaded with her other-self.

"They'll make it all disappear. They hid it from everyone else. Who are they gonna believe? Dad, or the loony Vale copper?"

"I hate to admit it, she has a point," Pyrrha sighed.

"Pyrrha!" Nora shouted in disbelief.

"She's not wrong though," Pyrrha told her best friend. "If Jaune went back to the main branch of the police only to come back and have no evidence, wouldn't they just mock and deride him?" The others couldn't refute the champion at all.

"But it won't be just me will it!" Jaune said, grabbing Ruby by the lapels of her uniform jacket. "We can do this together. You and me. Partners."

"He seems rather desperate," Yang pointed out, frowning a bit.

"It's because he's a workaholic," the Curator responded. "He was so focused on the job, he lost a lot of connections. Like his girlfriend Weiss, who he missed a lot of dates, birthdays, and events."

"I can see why that's bad," the snow-themed girl said, knowing that her own father and mother had done that a couple of times.

"Ruby was the first one who actively liked his work ethic but also knew how to relax, forcing Jaune to just sit down and have fun, much to his own shock. It's why their friendship is strong. They are learning from one another."

"Hehe, much like how we were when we started," Ruby grinned to herself.

Ruby shook her head. "Forget it, Jaune. It's Patch." A tearful Ruby pulls out her car keys. Jaune took them, limped to the car, and drove off. In his rearview, Jaune can just make out the figure of Ruby standing in the road. She only disappeared when he was too far.

"Ouch," Yang said, seeing the sad look on both police officers' faces. She then turned to Blake. "Feels like when you left for a bit actually."

"I apologized for that already," Blake groaned. Her partner gave her a one-armed hug and grinned.

"We know, just pulling your leg."

Jaune drove down the freeway. Rain lashed his windscreen as the blonde looked out of touch with the world. Seeing his fuel light blinking low, Jaune reached a gas station named Heston Services. Parking his car, Jaune entered the building. A teen night clerk eyed Jaune, who was covered in grime and ketchup. "Can I get some gas?" he asked, almost like he was dead.

"Is that everything, Sir?" the clerk asked. The police officer's gaze has been drawn to a bargain bin full of DVDs. He scanned the titles, remembering how Ruby had introduced him to the media and genre. The list had titles such as 'Out For Justice', 'The Enforcer', 'Lethal Weapon', 'Walking Tall', 'Hard to Kill'-

"Those all sound like terrible testosterone-filled action films," Weiss blanched. The thought of watching a lot of that seemed dumb.

"I know, it sounds awesome," Nora cheered. She'd take explosions over drama any time!

but the two that stood out to him were the ones he marathoned with his best friend. 'Bad Boys II' and 'Point Break'.

"Why do those two movies matter the most?" Ren asked curiously.

"They're buddy cop movies," the Curator replied with a smile. "So it fits the two of them rather well." That got a few snickers from the audience.

"Sir? Sir? Is there anything I can do for you?" the clerk tried getting his attention to no avail. The more he looked the more Jaune felt something changing. He turned back to the clerk, a determined look on his face.

"No. This is something I have to do myself," Jaune replied. He grabbed a pair of shades and a fistful of various car spray paints. Jaune slammed down some crumpled money and the clerk took it, although he left a coin before grabbing it, only to throw out a piece of a Cornetto wrapper.

"Did...did something just happen?" Penny asked, confused. It felt like she missed something in those few moments.

"Jaune is now emulating the men from the movies," the Curator replied. "You know? I should have sat down from the start. I mean I have my conscience almost everywhere. Just not the bathrooms or bedrooms."

"You mean you didn't do that before?" Yang asked, turning to face him.

"I do sometimes, but with all that was happening, I kept moving about, this is the first time in a while that I got to sit down," the Curator sighed.

"Huh, good to know."

The scene flashed to the 'Welcome to Patch' sign. It was morning outside Harold Mulberry's farm. He was an elderly man who was whistling to himself. His green jeep pulled over to the roadside. Getting out, Harold walked to some of his horses at a gate. Nodding to himself, Mulberry sighed in content. "Another good day on god's green earth," he said.

"Who's that?" Blake asked confused. The others all shook their heads, also showing their confusion. Everyone, except for Pyrrha and Ruby.

"Wait, do you guys not even know our Weapon Crafting and Upkeep professor?" Ruby asked in surprise.

"No, outside of Weiss, our upkeep is minimal," Yang replied.

"And mine is more Dust-related, so I feel much better in the Dust courses," Weiss told her partner.

"Renny here helps out with my stuff so I don't actually take his class," Nora answered.

"Jaune and I take it," Pyrrha replied. "Although in a different class period than Ruby. Despite Crocea Mors being a simple weapon, Jaune likes to take care of it. While Milo is very complicated, so I do need to know its upkeep rather well."

The horses suddenly snorted, restless. Concerned that there may be a wild animal, Mulberry looked behind him. There in the distance, was a police car sitting right in the middle of the road. Now that struck him as odd seeing as that should be...

"Ruby?" Mulberry squinted. His eyes caught sight of who was really inside. And it was definitely not Ruby. Sitting behind the wheel, wearing shades and revving the engine, was Jaune. The look of anger on his face was only dampened or enhanced, given who you ask, by the sunglasses he wore.

"Huh, wonder what he's going to do?" Penny said aloud.

Mulberry runs to his jeep in a hurry. Jaune screamed towards him as he drove the police car forward. Mulberry grabbed his car radio "Glynda, It's Ar-"

CRASH!

The loud sound caused a few of the people to jump as they saw Jaune slam the police car into the jeep. "It didn't need to be that loud!" Blake hissed covering her ears.

Only to look on in shock for a few seconds at the destruction that just happened. The only object left in front of him was the radio and its chord.

"Hehe, that's pretty good," Nora chuckled. The scene also had Ruby and Yang giggling, while Pyrrha and Ren had small smiles. Weiss sighed, while it was funny, it wasn't that funny. At least to her. Blake was in a similar boat. Penny was just happily watching.

Jaune sprung from the car and charged towards Mulberry "Mum!" Mulberry shouted in a panic seeing the cop approached him. Alas, after the scream, Jaune punched Mulberry out cold.

"Yang, how do you rate that punch?" Ruby asked her sister. Yang held up a card that said 8/10.

"Now that I'm listening, they all kinda sound like Velvet," Weiss pointed out. They all listened a bit better when they spoke and couldn't help but agree.

A loud bang surprised Jaune right after the punch, causing him to flinch and duck. Buckshot ripped into the 4X4 next to Jaune's head. Turning towards the direction of the shot, he saw Mulberry's mother had brandished a shotgun from the other side of the gate.

"Huh, so everyone has guns?" Blake asked the Curator.

"It's a joke that happened earlier saying that everyone and their mums have a gun," he explained.

"As they should!" Ruby countered.

She broke the shotgun and went to reload. Seeing his opening, Jaune ran towards the gate, jumped into the air, and launched into a flying kick. Mulberry's mother closed the shotgun shut and turned to aim. Sadly, Jaune landed his feet on her face with maximum force.

"I usually don't condone violence against grandmothers, but I think she deserved it," Ren said as he leaned his head against his hand. "If they had joined the NWA, I'm sure she too had done terrible things."

The scene does a quick cut to show Mulberry and his mother are tied to the fence. "What are you going to do? Just walk in and arrest the whole village?" Mulberry demanded as he and his mother struggled against their bindings.

Jaune looked towards the village of Patch with a grim look before answering. "Not exactly."

"I wonder what he's going to do," Penny said as she sipped her strawberry soda.

The scene changed to the small police station. The sergeant at the front desk was a girl by the name of Malachite. She had long black hair, was reading a book about a person who transformed at night.

"Hey there's that club worker again," Yang pointed out. "She's a cop? Odd change of job."

Jaune glided through the quiet front office, past the straight-haired desk sergeant, Militia who barely looked up. He strode through the locker room, and no one spotted him. He opened his locker, retrieving his uniform and a protective vest, all the while his coworkers were busy just speaking in the background.

"I can't seem to make out who is in the background," Pyrrha said, squinting her eyes.

The blonde then went to the armory and punched 999 into the keypad.

That caused the Curator to snort. When the kids looked at him, the powerful being explained. "It's like if you dialed 911 as the security code for a police armory in Vale." That had the teens stop for a moment and before laughing aloud at the absurdity, or naivety in the case of Weiss, Ren, and Blake's point of view, of that fact.

As the door opened, an arsenal of weaponry that he and Ruby had confiscated mere weeks ago was displayed before him.

"That's a lot of weapons," Nora whistled. "A bit simplistic though."

"Who cares!" Ruby cheered. "That's a lot of guns. How many houses did they raid for all those guns?"

"Just one," the Curator replied. That caused everyone else to stop and stare. "Yeah, some random farmer hoarded all these guns. Ruby and Jaune had confiscated all of them."

Jaune grabbed all he could carry. A rifle and shotgun went around his shoulders, pistols into his belt. This left the room empty, save for the sea mine.

"I'm sorry, sea mine?" Weiss said incredulously. "Who in their right mind would have a sea mind lying around!?"

"That random farmer. Doesn't help that it almost went off on Ruby and Jaune. Thankfully it was a dud," the Curator replied.

"Yes, thank goodness," Pyrrha nodded her head. That would have been a terrible way to go.

Tai was in his office, looking at paperwork and eating ice cream. He didn't notice the person he ordered dead had just walked past him.

"Dad didn't see him?" Yang asked in surprise.

"When you think your opponent is dead, why should you be on guard?" the Curator told her.

"True, you let your guard down the most when you think you've won," Pyrrha agreed, nodding her head. Many of her opponents had thought they had won only for her to get up and beat them a few seconds later.

As Jaune approached the door, Malachite finally piped up. "Oh, Sergeant Arc? Someone from Vale called for you." Jaune turned and scowled back at her, chewing on a toothpick, armed to the teeth. "Oh...uh...I'll tell them you'll ring 'em back." Jaune nodded and walked out.

"Yeah, most people would have that reaction," Nora snorted. She turned in her seat and was getting ready for whatever was about to come. The orange-haired girl knew it was going to be good.

The sergeant turned her head to watch him go. "Huh. That's funny."

"What's that?" another female voice asked from off-screen.

"I didn't know we had a mounted division." Just then, a girl who looked very much like the sergeant walked in peering after Jaune as well. Unlike her sister, she had shorter hair and worked the night shift. Which had always confused Jaune each time he came in and saw the two different girls.

"Oh right," Yang said, snapping her fingers. "They were twins."

"I'm sure we've seen them a couple of times," Blake told her partner trying to recall if they did, she was sure of it.

"That would have been a fun gag though," Ren admitted. Of course, Jaune would get confused at the sudden shortening and growing of the hair.

"Sis, how should I know? Nobody tells me nothing," the short-haired one said as she sipped her coffee and left to go home.

The scene changes to an armed Jaune trotted down the street on a horse.

"Where did he get a horse?" Pyrrha asked the others.

"Well, the twins were talking about a mounted division," Blake told the champion.

He rode past a bus stop, where a bunch of hooded hooligans sat waiting for the bus to school. They stared at Jaune, their jaws dropped. The officer shifted his toothpick and nodded at them. "Wanna do something useful?" he asked with a very light mischievous tone. When the boys nodded, Jaune threw a duffel bag at them. Upon opening it, the kids saw that it was full of spray cans.

"What would the kids do? And why would Jaune even consider asking them for help?" Penny asked. This shouldn't be happening given how cops are supposed to work.

"He's a cowboy cop Penny!" Nora told her friend. "He makes his own rules." The answer made the former robot frown.

"That seems counterproductive."

Glynda was reading the paper and daintily ate ice cream in the security room of the police officer. She was so relaxed that she didn't see the CCTV screens slowly turn being spray-painted behind her.

"Oh, that is smart," Blake admitted. "With no cameras, they won't be able to coordinate their counterattack."

"But why use kids?" Penny asked the Faunus. The cat turned to face the former robot.

"As sad as it is, it's the only option he has right now."

It was morning and almost identical to the day Jaune had arrived in the town: Idyllic, bustling, happy. There various smiling NWA members were going about their business as if nothing had happened. Like they hadn't tried to murder Jaune Arc.

"They must have been insane or something," Pyrrha said, sticking out her tongue a little. That was just cruel.

Workmen were putting up a banner across the middle of the street reading 'Good Luck Patch: VILLAGE OF THE YEAR'. Heather Shields, a middle-aged woman with brown hair, was putting out a display in front of her shop.

"Who is she?" Ren wondered since they've never seen her before.

"A Huntress from Mistral," the Curator replied. "I think only the adults know her."

Her walkie-talkie crackles to life. As she does, her walkie-talkie comes to life. "Heather, that new policeman's back. Check out his horse," the voice of the Madame from across the street spoke.

Somewhere in the theater, someone froze. That someone glared at a tv showing the world, fists curling into fists.

Glynda heard this radio message and finally realizes that all her precious CCTV cameras have been sprayed black.

Dr. Mallari peers through her surgery window, eyes wide. Jaune was relaxed as he passed on horseback.

"We know her!" Ruby said, jumping out of her seat and pointing. Yang nodded her head. "She's a kind doctor on Patch!"

The Madam of the Glass Unicorn watered the hanging baskets outside the hotel when she spotted Jaune riding up the middle of the high street.

Again, that person clenched her fist and a growl escaped her lips.

The Scarlatinas peered out of the Crown, mouths agape.

"I didn't know Velvet's dad was human," Blake said in surprise.

"We should really talk to them more, they would be good people to help tutor us," Ren nodded his head.

"Yeah! We can do better with their help!" Nora cheered in her seat.

Reverend Oobleck was talking to the understudies of a play where the main leads died, Peach and Port. All three stopped and stared.

"Wait, is Doctor Oobleck a priest?" Pyrrha said. That thought made her more than a bit confused. "His sermons would be nightmares."

"What are Professor Peach and Port doing together?" Yang wondered.

"They are married and acting together," the Curator replied. That made the Beacon students confused. That was just a strange coupling.

Ann Greene skidded to a stop on her bicycle and gaped. She was a lady with soft brown hair and glasses. She was dressed in a thick coat at the moment.

"Okay, I don't know that one," Pyrrha said to everyone. "I take a lot of classes and I don't think I've gotten an Ann Greene."

"She's the teacher of Stealth and Infiltration for Beacon," Blake answered this time. "Ren and I have her for our fourth period."

"Huh, so that's where you go," Nora said looking at Ren. "I always wondered where you went after combat class."

Cyril Ian, in his heavy coat, looked on in terror.

"I've heard of him! He's a reporter on the Vale News Network!" Penny said pointing. "He was the one who reported most of Torchwick's heists."

Qrow and his staff looked on from the window of Spring Aisles Grocery Store.

"Oh…" Yang frowned and sunk into her seat. She didn't expect her uncle to be part of this.

Ruby was sitting in the squad car in the usual parking spot. She saw Jaune and was terrified, not knowing what to do.

"She'll do the right thing," Pyrrha said, holding onto Ruby's forearm to reassure her friend. "Don't worry."

"I hope so," Ruby replied. Her silver eyes turned to her other and truly hoped for the best.

Glynda busted into Tai's office, panic-stricken. The police chief looked up and his cheery expression dissipated immediately. "Arc," he growled.

"You know, I've only ever heard dad like that when someone broke up with me," Yang pointed out. "I guess he's that angry sometimes."

"Pretty sure it's not that bad," Nora told the other powerhouse in the room.

"Parents overreact to boyfriends or girlfriends hurting their kids," Blake sighed, remembering some stuff that her own dad did.

The village had come to a complete stop. The NWA watched as Jaune dismounted the horse and had it trot off on its own. Beads of sweat glistened, eyes flicked this way and that. The ordinary folks were unnerved by the hush. Jaune flicked the toothpick in his mouth and uttered a single word. "Morning."

"And…" the Curator smiled happily as he saw this. "Let chaos reign!"

Cyril flung open his winter coat revealing a shotgun. The blonde police officer dove behind the fountain just as he fired, the buckshot hitting the stone. The village erupted into chaos as the innocent ran for cover and the NWA mobilized.

"No warning at all," Penny said, dropping her jaw. She didn't expect that!

The Scarlatinas scurried into their bar. Dr. Mallari disappeared into her surgery. Heather Shields ran into her shop, and moments later an upper window smashed apart, and a barrel of a gun protruding from the opening.

"They're rather...quick on the uptake," Weiss muttered and crossed her arms. "Like they are prepared for a shootout."

Ruby sat in the car, her face was a mixture of awe and panic.

"I can understand her excitement and fear," Ruby said. "She's getting to see her movies come to life but it concerns her friend."

Jaune took a look at Mr. Cyril's position. He was standing next to a truck loaded with beer barrels. Jaune jumped up and fired. This ended up blasting off the catch holding the beer barrels in place. They tumbled off the back of the truck, knocking Cyril off his feet.

"And the shot is good!" Nora jumped up from the seat and raised her arms into the air. Yang, who was sitting behind her, lowered her arms to keep watching.

"Is he alive?" Weiss asked. Even if they are bad people, they need to face justice.

"Don't worry, all of them are just...severely hurt by the end of this," the Curator reassured them.

Jaune ducked as a shot went wide and had to squat behind the fountain. Looking over the edge, he saw he was pinned down by fire from Ann Greene. Behind him, Jaune looked up to see Shield's gun poking out of her shop.

"A pincer, how will he get out of this?" Blake wondered. She tapped the arm of her chair, trying to figure out how Jaune would prevail.

The police officer whistled, and from behind a car the hooded students popped up. Jaune motioned to the small corner shop getting a nod from the kids. The hoodies stampeded into the building, the door slammed open. The scene flicks to the sign outside the door of the shop. In the window, Shield's gun was suddenly yanked backward and Jaune could hear muffled screams and blows.

"Oh...that's kind of brutal," Pyrrha flinched. A poor old lady getting beat up by some kids.

Shots rang out, and a hail of bullets narrowly missed Jaune. Pedaling towards him on her bike, firing a pair of handguns was Anne Greene. He flinched from his cover.

"She has rather good balance," Weiss complimented the woman. She was riding her bike with no hands, shooting her guns, and it was still going straight!

Ruby saw this before noticing Ann in her side-view mirror. Her face hardened. She swung the door wide open and caught Ann by surprise. She yelped as she sailed through the air into a crumpled heap.

Some flinched. Her face slammed into stone...and her glasses were going to be broken. Maybe even in her face.

Ruby ran over to join Jaune and he threw her a shotgun. Ever excited, Ruby caught it in mid-air. "That's what I'm talking about," Jaune said to his friend.

"WOO!" Ruby was the one to jump up this time and cheer. Unlike Nora, no one sat behind her, therefore no one forced her arms down.

The two ran past where Cyril got knocked out, only to duck behind some tables set out for the judging as shots ricochet off the beer barrels. Taking turns coming out from cover behind pillars of a building, Peach and Port rained fire on the two officers.

"Not bad," Ren complimented. "They really do have some skill for being crazy people."

Jaune and Ruby, hustle through the plaza they were in with Ruby providing cover fire forcing Port and Peach to hide every so often. Most shots from the couple going wild. When the two officers got to their own small amount of safety, Jaune grinned at Ruby. "Still feel like missing out?" he teased her. She grinned and shook her head before both ran to the side trying to get closer to the two.

"Living the dream," Ruby sighed. That caused her friends to laugh.

Getting to another bunch of tables holding flowers for the Best Village of the Year preparations, the blonde of the duo rushed forward while the redhead kept shooting at the older couple, keeping them from doing too much harm. Jaune aimed and shot both Port and Peach in their gun arms, both falling overdramatically.

Pyrrha giggled. "I can see Professor Port doing that, but not Professor Peach," she laughed.

A shout of "Fascist!" caught their attention. Turning around, both Ruby and Jaune saw Madame holding an automatic rifle and began firing wildly into the plaza.

"Okay, we really don't know who that is," Nora frowned. She tried to wrack her brain if she knew this person but no one came to mind. As did the others. Penny pouted also trying to think but none came up.

"She is...someone personal for someone else," the Curator replied.

"What's a fascist?" Weiss asked. "I don't think I've heard that term before."

"Fascism is a system of government categorized by extreme dictatorship...seven across," he chuckled at his little joke.

Ruby turned over a table for cover, while Jaune rolled across the ground to stop at a knee. Aiming, he shot a pot that hung over her. It fell, slamming into her head, causing her to collapse but not before hitting her noggin onto a wooden table.

Jaune glared at her "Hag."

"Good," Cinder whispered with glee from her spot in the library room.

"Did you say something?" Salem asked as she read a book on magic.

"Nothing."

There's a piercing yell. Jaune turns to see the husband of the Madam, an old man, Glass Unicorn, baring down fast with the ornamental sword. Jaune barely managed to draw his baton to block the attack. The two began to duel with baton and sword, as Ruby trained her shotgun to ensure nothing happened. To their surprise though, the old man managed to disarm Jaune.

"Holy shit," Yang shouted. From what she's seen so far, Jaune was a super cop. "To see an old man disarm him? That was intense."

Jaune, however, wasn't known as the best police officer from Vale for nothing. The blonde goes low and sweeps the legs of the old man, having him crash onto the floor. His hip was most likely broken.

"But he managed to counterattack!" Nora said happily.

"I do feel sorry for the old man's hips though," Ren winced. The man may have been part of a cult conspiracy, but that must have hurt.

"STOP! STOP THIS! Please. Let us stop this mindless violence," Reverend Oobleck said as he left the building he was hiding in and approached the two. His hands were in the air and were empty. This caused Ruby and Jaune to look at one another and approach him as well. "Jaune, my son, you may not be a man of god but surely you're a man of peace."

The Beacon students dropped their jaws. Penny looked at them oddly. "Are you guys okay?" she asked.

"It's just," Weiss tried to find the right words.

"We've never heard Doctor Oobleck speak so slowly," Blake finished for her friend. This world was weird. First, a lot of adults were evil, then Port and Peach were married, and now this?

"Reverend I may not be convinced about the existence of God but I know good and evil and I have the grace to know which is which," Jaune replied in the calmest tone he had in a while.

"He's got a good heart," Pyrrha smiled. All the worlds they've seen seem to reinforce that thought. Well, save for that one weird monster one.

The reverend sighed before speaking once more. "Oh, fuck off Grasshopper!" He closed his hands into a gun holding motion as two pistols went up from his sleeves into them. Oobleck took a quick shot and the bullets took Jaune by surprise. He got shot in the chest, sending him sprawling.

"Jaune!" Penny gasped. That surprised her. It seemed the others were as well.

"Nooooooooo!" Ruby shouted as she returned fire at Oobleck, hitting him in the shoulder.

"I finally did something," Ruby said in relief. "It just sucks Jaune had to be hurt to do it."

"Did you forget?" Yang poked her sister in the side. "He has something there to help." That made Ruby crease her brow. What was her sister talking about?

"Jesus Christ!" Oobleck shouted as he fell.

"Jaune! Jaune!" Ruby shouted as she ran over to Jaune who was lying on the road. Jaune coughed and opened his jacket, showing that the bullets didn't make it through his protective vest. This caused Ruby to smile. "I thought you were a goner."

"Oh! I forgot he had that!" Ruby shouted.

"I mean, they made a show of him putting it on," Weiss lightly teased her partner.

"I...I was distracted by the guns!"

"Sure you were," Pyrrha gently ribbed her.

"Drop your weapons," the elderly doctor demanded as she appeared.

"Dr. Mallari, no," the redhead police officer complained in a whiny tone.

"It's so strange to see the nice doctor who lives down the street acting like this is so weird," Yang frowned.

"Seeing a lot of the adults we know as bad guys feels off," Ren agreed.

"Shut up, Ruby," she sneered. Mallari aimed her gun at them as she approached. "I brought you into this world, it's rather fitting I should be the one to take you out of it. You and your interfering little friend." The doctor pumped her shotgun. "Now drop them."

"That is such a good line," Nora groaned. "Why did it have to be used on a bad guy?"

"Because Jaune has been getting one-liners recently," Penny explained. "So it's safe to assume the bad guys will have some as well."

"Ugh...but why waste a good one on them!"

Ruby does so. Her shotgun hit the ground and...

BLAM! It fires into Mallari's foot. Utterly destroying her appendage. She screams in pain and shoots her shot into the air before falling to the ground, clutching her foot.

"And this is why we take Professor Mulberry's class," Pyrrha pointed out. "So we don't hurt ourselves or others by accident."

"YUP!" Ruby said as she drank her soda. "Make sure your weapons are up to snuff!"

Jaune stood up and grabbed his pistol. "You're a doctor, deal with it," he taunted her.

Ruby nodded her head. "Yeah...motherfucker."

"See, Jaune got a good line out of it," Penny told Nora. "Although, I don't think friend Ruby should curse."

The camera spins as Jaune looks off to the side. "Ruby, let's go." As he said that, he took a pair of sunglasses out of his, miraculously unharmed, jacket pocket.

"H-How did those not break?" Blake stuttered looking at the sunglasses.

Ruby grinned and put them on. "What are you thinking?"

"I don't know but we should all get a pair," Yang grinned. "Jaune and Ruby look cool in them." She pulled out her own sunglasses and debated on putting them on...but did not. She's not some kind of asshole who wears sunglasses inside.

"Pub?"

The scene cuts to the welcome sign of The Crown pub being thrown in the front door smashing it to bits. The Scarletinas fired wildly from behind the bar shooting the doorway for a few seconds. They stopped their assault and turned to face one another. When Will Scarletina broke his shotgun to reload, the police officers came in.

"This Jaune is smart," Ren pointed out. "Using a sign as a decoy before coming in on their own. Ensures that their opponents at least waste some ammo."

"Jaune was considered the best of the force," the Curator replied. "They just couldn't handle his drive. So when they promoted him, they threw him far away from Vale proper so someone else can deal with his workaholic tendencies."

"But then he ended up in the place that needed him the most," Nora grinned.

"But it also had what he needed the most as well," Pyrrha sighed happily. "A friend."

Ruby and Jaune burst in, jumping through the air whilst both firing pairs of pistols.

They heard a shout of "NOOO!" coming from within the theater. When the audience looked toward the double doors, the Curator replied. "That was Mr. Wukong shouting that he wished he did that."

"I mean...it's a staple of most cop movies, who wouldn't?" Yang grinned, wishing she did it too.

They landed and rolled away. Jaune flipped over one of the bar tables for cover. The Scarlatinas opened fire again. Thankfully the table was thick enough to protect most of them...that and the pub owners weren't much of a good shot.

"Are we just going to hit all the usual antics of a cop movie now?" Nora asked excitedly, munching on popcorn.

"Most definitely," the Curator smiled.

"Sweet."

When they went to reload, Jaune and Ruby popped up and fired. And then the couple did the same when the officers went to reload their weapons. After, Jaune peeked his head out and saw something above the bar.

"I just heard a video game noise when he popped his head up," Blake said pointing at the screen.

"Artistic views of this world, probably," Weiss told her friend.

He popped up and fired at a bear trap on the wall. It fell and clamped its jaws around Will Scarlatina's head.

"Brothers!" Pyrrha shouted in surprise, not having expected that.

"That was too brutal," Penny blanched. The image made her turn away for a moment.

"Will!" Meg shouted in surprise. "Somebody call the police!" Ruby joined Jaune in standing up.

Almost on cue, Taiyang Xiao Long busted in, holding a pair of revolvers. "Freeze!"

"He was prepared!" Yang shouted in shock. "Like he knew where to trap him! Ugh… that's just like dad though."

The entire Patch police force burst in after him, wearing RIOT GEAR and clutching batons. An older Fox holds a growling Zwei on a leash. Sun, Neptune, Roman, and a girl by the name of Neon Katt surrounded the two. "Arrest that man," the eldest blond said as he stood before Jaune and Ruby. "Dear, step away from the sergeant."

"Such an odd assortment of people," Ren said, reviewing all those that appeared. "The only ones who seem to be from the same team in that arrangement are Sun and Neptune."

"I mean it fits. They were junior detectives once, it only makes sense that they are real detectives here," the Curator told him. This time the echoing shout from the distance was a loud "Yes!"

Ruby shook her head. "No Dad," she replied, which gave her father pause.

"Ruby, you'll do as you're told," the words were calm and collected while his face was schooled.

Ruby made a disgusted face as she saw the imitation of her father trying to tell her what to do. And with such a calm look on it. "That feels so wrong."

"No, I'm not taking orders from you anymore," Ruby said firmly.

The look of disappointment on Tai's face was obvious. As if he was going to regret his next words. "Officers, arrest these two!"

"Not even a moment's hesitation," Penny frowned. "This isn't a good father is he?"

"He's psycho, so I doubt he's thinking this through," Weiss replied to her.

Jaune turned and held his hands out to the rest of his team. "Wait, wait. You can arrest us if you want. You can throw us in prison and go back to being blind, submissive slaves. Or you can be real police officers and help us put an end to this absurd story."

"Come on, believe in him," Nora whispered. She crossed her fingers. Ren and Pyrrha smiled at their friend's antics. Penny actually was copying her on Nora's other side.

"What the fuck is he on about?" Sun asked his best friend as he lifted his visor.

"What the fuck are you on about?" Neptune asked Jaune, also raising his visor.

They heard a snicker and looked at the Curator but he didn't say anything. Strange.

"Have you ever wondered why the crime rate in Patch is so low yet the accident rate so high?" the blonde desperately said, hoping that they would believe him and Ruby.

"No. Yes. What?" Roman said. He lifted his visor to get a better look at Jaune and Ruby.

"I take it he's a bit slower here?" Blake asked about the criminal.

"More like his self-importance gets in the way of his actual skills," the Curator answered. "He's the same rank as Jaune but a wee bit more incompetent."

"I see."

"You've been brainwashed, Roman," Jaune answered, clutching onto the older officer's shoulder. He took off his sunglasses to look him straight in the eye. "Brainwashed into naivety by an old man with a murderous obsession!" Jaune turned to point at Tai who looked livid.

"He gave dad the pointer finger!" Yang gasped. "We're reaching the climax!"

"Is that what happens in cop movies?" Penny curiously asked.

"Most of the time it's when they are sure of who the murderer is!" Nora nodded and informed her friend.

"This is ridiculous," Tai said, eyes flicking to and fro.

"No, it's not Dad," Ruby interrupted him, taking off her sunglasses. "It's very unridiculous. And it's only now that I'm starting to realize how unridiculous it all is."

"Is it odd that I find her mispronunciations of words endearing?" Pyrrha asked. She giggled behind her hand as Ruby groaned.

"It is cute," Yang said. "Don't deny it, Sis!"

"I stopped doing that years ago though!" Ruby hid her face in her hands.

"Silence Ruby! Think of your mother!" Tai shouted, still aiming his guns at Jaune.

"Mum's dead dad. And for the first time in my life, I'm glad." Jaune and the rest of the officers could hear that it truly pained Ruby to say that. That the words she was saying were some of the hardest things she's ever come to accept. "If she could see what you've become, she'd kill herself all over again."

"Ouch," Nora flinched. "They both used the dead mom card. But at least Ruby is sensible enough to not fall for her dad's tricks."

"Sorry, I'm completely lost," Neon said, finally catching up to the conversation as she lifted her visor.

"Patch is a lie, Neon," Jaune informed her. "For the last twenty years, the village has been controlled by Tai and the NWA. They've lulled you into thinking this is a perfect village by killing anyone who threatened to change that."Everyone stared at him, all of them lifted their visors and finally looked at Jaune and the situation.

The Curator snorted again and laughed. It then took a second before the sound of something hitting flesh echoed in the room. They turned to Weiss who groaned. "You're laughing at the dumb symbolism aren't you?" Weiss asked.

The Curator nodded and smiled. "Took me a couple of watches to understand."

"What symbolism?" Penny asked, looking at her fellow Atlasian.

"They're no longer blinded to the truth, hence their visors are up," Weiss told them. It took the others a moment as well before it clicked for them.

"Oh…" the rest of the audience said in unison.

It was Fox who broke the silence. "Recconneeegottsumadere." Zwei stopped barking. And that made Jaune smile.

"Excuse me, what did he say?" Ren said. He strained his ears to try to make sense of what that version of Fox said.

Still recovering from her outburst, Ruby translated for the man. "He says he 'reckons you got something there.

Jaune smiled and turned to his partner. "I know. Thanks."

"Ah, much better," Ren said with a smile after hearing the clarification.

The police chief looked at his officers in surprise. He took a step forward. "You're not seriously going to believe this man, are you? Are you?!" Tai cocked his pistols. "He's not even from around here!" The officers looked on in confused disbelief at the manic Tai.

"Ah, and that's what it comes down to," Blake frowned and crossed her arms. "Someone is bringing change and he doesn't like it. This version of your father is rather bad."

"Tell me about it," Ruby and Yang answered at the same time.

Neptune took off his sunglasses and stood behind Jaune and Ruby. "Maybe it's time to give it up sir."

This caused Tai to take a few steps backward. "You incompetent flatfoots!" The leader of the NWA snapped, shooting his pistols up in the air. He hits a rustic light fixture, which ignited and crashed to the ground. This forced the officers to cover their faces and flinch away. Ruby barely made out her father running out the back.

"Did...did anyone just hear a lion's roar as he ran?" Pyrrha asked, looking confused.

"Probably the same reason we heard video game noises during the shootout with the Scarlatinas. It's artistic," Weiss replied.

"Ah, I see."

Seeing that Tai was gone, Jaune took control of the situation. "Fox, I want you and Zwei to stay here and keep everything held down."

Fox nodded and Zwei barked.

"Everyone else, gather up all the ones we've already defeated and cuff them. We don't want them running away," Jaune told them.

"On it," Neptune replied as he, Sun, Roman, and Blake ran out to do so.

"Fearless leader seems to be fearlessly leading," Nora giggled.

"What about my dad?" Ruby asked, forlorn.

"He'll come around eventually," Jaune replied, trying to reassure his partner that they'll catch her father. Ruby nodded and turned to Jaune. "Want something from the shop?"

The screen cut black.

"I'm debating whether or not to show the next part or not," the Curator hummed as he stood up.

"Really? Gonna blue ball us here at the climax?" Yang teased.

"I've done it before," he laughed. "But why don't you get refills for your drinks and I'll surprise you next time." The teens did just that and left for the lobby.

Once they were gone, the Curator relaxed and slumped into the chair. They didn't know it but there was a reason he actually put them into hibernation. Namely, because a few of the Another Huntresses had gotten too close and he had to shut down completely. The Curator just didn't expect it would take so much out of him to hide from them and then restart the theater.

"I'll need to recover my strength a little…" he whispered to himself. "I guess I'll be sitting during these viewings for now." He sat up straight as the two teams entered once more.

Now I am seriously debating whether to do the shop to the end of Hot Fuzz or do something else first...I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

May do something with a bardic gnome...
