A/N: I just felt I had to write something being how I haven't updated my other two stories in ages. Been a hectic year so far for me so far! Exams are coming up, but I'll try and get some updates here and there.

Three little words.

That's all she needed to say. Those three little words would keep him with her. Three little words …

She stared intently in his deep brown eyes, he was well aware that was her weakness – his eyes. Every time he needed a favor, every time she didn't feel like getting her lazy bum up for practice, every time he needed help in the wee hours of the night with an essay … all he had to do was look her in the eyes and she caved. Unfair, yes, but it worked every time, and deep down she loved it.

He was slipping away from her now. She couldn't bring herself to utter those words, the infinitely pleasing words that were caught at the back of her throat. She had dreamed of saying it countless times … in class, on the pitch, his last day at Hogwarts … yet the words never materialized.

They were lightly holding hands, his thumbs subconsciously rubbing against her flesh. His grip was loosening … just as her grip on him was. She was loosing him in more ways than one.

Say it. Say it. Don't think about the consequences and say it! She repeated in her mind over and over.

Her brown eyes became clouded with confusion and distress … she was caught in the middle. Between the reality of what was going on around her and the fantasy of living happily ever after with the man she had been helplessly in love with since they were children.

Children. Childhood. She fondly slipped into a brief daze … remembering the happy times at and away from school. The countless pranks with their mates, the eventful Quidditch matches, the year they finally won the cup …

Shattered now were the fantasies. The reality was too brutal and upfront to be ignored. He had shattered it.

No, she had let him shatter it. She hadn't stood up for what was in her heart and she had let logic and other people tear them apart.

Her hands fell from within his grasp and she closed her eyes painfully. He was lost to her.

"She loves me, Katie," The man told her, deep down disappointed that Katie hadn't said those words his heart yearned for her to utter.

I love you! She wanted to scream at him. I love you, Oliver!

But she didn't.

He took a step back. "I hope you'll be happy for us," It pained him to refer to him and Cho as 'us' whenever it could just as easily been him and Katie.

"Oliver, I …" He shook his head and a stray tear cascaded down her left cheek.

"Shh," He silenced her and leaned in for a final parting. A feathery light kiss against her pale lips. A kiss she lightly returned, keeping herself from sobbing by only the extreme self control she had developed whenever it came to Oliver Wood, "Good bye, Bell." He affectionately referred to their days on the team together whenever it had been a strictly last name basis between him and their teammates.

He disappeared from her sights and she closed her eyes as the tears came streaming out of her hazel orbs. "I love you," She cried into the empty room, "I love you, I love you, I love you." She grasped at her side as she shrunk down onto the cold tile floor in the empty Puddlemere United locker room. Her sobs echoed off of the dreary room as the loss of her beloved Oliver Wood became a reality.

He was gone, and she had nobody to blame but herself.

Ok. There you go! Yeah ... not much to say about that.

Even though it's a One-Shot feel free to drop me a review and tell me what you think!
