Author's Note: Really, any pairing could fit in here; I'll let you decide who (or what) the narrator is.

You know, sometimes she just stands in that room and screams.

Screams curses, pleas, desperate proofs that she's real, not just some figment of her own imagination.

And sometimes…

She screams your name.

Here. Would you care to listen? I'm sure you'd be able to figure out the feelings underneath that cry. All we've been able to get are mixed readings.

Like the reason why she's screaming changes every time. But that shouldn't happen, should it?

After all, change is bad.

What? You don't want to hear? Nonsense. I'm sure that you could help us figure out this problem. We're very sure that it's not our equipment, but as you've been so fond of saying lately, we can be wrong!

Our best experts have been only able to decipher basic emotions, found in most humans. Anger. Pain. Hope, on her good days. (Those don't come often.)

And, once or twice, fear.

Now, why would she be afraid of you? It's strange, considering the circumstances. Most of the time your name is the only word she'll say. She doesn't talk much, as you can tell.

Ah. I have the file- no, sit! Wait! I really must insist that you at least hear a bit of it! So far there's a… certain element of her cries we cannot make sense of, and I'm sure that every bit of help you could offer will be appreciated.

There. Just sit and listen.

What's that? What did you say? Hold on, let me turn it down.

That's better. Could you repeat that?

"... Love. That's what you're missing. That's… that's why she's calling my name."
