I'm glad that people are reading my story (I'm new to posting stories, so I don't know if this is the proper way to do author's notes). Thank you all. Still, I'd like to know what you all think of it, so I'd like to ask those reading my story to post reviews for it.

Also, this "chapter" is just something a little fun I came up with, so you don't have to take it too seriously.

Interlude

I Have Questions

Original song by Camilla Cabello

A dream. Euryale and Stheno were sharing a dream. How did they know? They were hugging Medusa. She was dead, but they were hugging her, nonetheless. They smiled in their sleep, unaware of the nightmare to come.

"Why?" Medusa asked/sang, pulling away, "did you leave me there to die?"

Medusa didn't look them in the eye. "I needed help; you didn't try."

She stood up and began to walk away. "I was doomed in that room, back pressed up against the wall, bearing wounds, and succumbing to them all."

She stopped but didn't turn to face them. "Do you care, do you care? Why don't you care?"

She grabbed her arms, anguish clear as she sang. "I gave you all of me, my blood, my sweat, my heart, and my tears!"

"Why don't you care, why don't you care?!" her voice raised in anger and sorrow.

She calmed down. "I was there, I was there, to protect you both,"

"But now I'm gone," she turned to look back at them, her voice a whisper, yet accusatory "you're still here."

She turned to face them directly. "I have questions for you."

"Number one, tell me who you think you are?" She began to walk towards them "You got some nerve, trying to tear my faith apart."

She grabbed her sisters by the collars of their dresses, holding them up to her eyelevel. "Number two, why did you always play me for the fool?"

Her face contorted with rage. "I should have never ever ever protected you!"

She let them go. "Number three, why weren't you the sisters that you should've been?"

"I have questions, I got questions," she turned away, "haunting me."

She began to walk away again. "I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you."

She transformed into Gorgon. "My, my name was safest in your mouths,"

She looked back at them. "So why'd you have to go and spit it out?"

Euryale and Stheno tried to sing back, placate their sister. "Your voice was a sweat, comforting sound."

Medusa interrupted them, a bitter, humorless smile on her face. "Yet it sounds so silent to you now."

She turned to face them again. "I have questions to you."

She lifted one clawed finger. "Number one, tell me who you think you are, you got some nerve trying to tear my faith apart."

She came closer. "I have questions for you."

She wrapped Euryale and Stheno in the coils of her snake tail, then lifted them up. "Number two, why did you, always play me for the fool?"

The snakes formed from her hair hissed in the goddess' faces. "I SHOULD HAVE NEVER EVER EVER PROTECTED YOU!"

Euryale and Stheno thought that she was going to eat them, only for Medusa's tail to release them, causing them to drop to the floor. Medusa began to circle them.

"I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you."

She returned to normal, tears in her eyes. "Do you care, do you care? Why don't you care?"

She spread her arms, gesturing to herself. "I gave you all of me, my blood, my sweat, my heart, and my tears!"

"Why don't you care, why don't you care?!" she demanded from them.

"I was there, I was there, to protect you both, but now I'm gone," she disappeared.

"You're still here."

They could hear her voice continue to sing, the two of them circling around to try and find her.

"I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you, I have questions for you."

Her voice began to whisper. "Can't be fixed. Can't communicate. I'm dead. Do you regret it?"

"I have questions for you."

"I'm afraid of you. Was it my fault? What will you do now? Do you miss me?"

Medusa appeared in front of them again, except different. She looked like how she did back when she was a child, when she was still the same size as them, a hooded cloak hiding her face. She then looked at them from beneath her hood, eyes full of confusion and pain. Her voice sounded like she was on the verge of tears.

"I have questions…"

Euryale and Stheno woke up in the middle of the night. Euryale started to cry loudly and Stheno began to weep softly, guilt and sorrow overcoming them.
