Padme: 42 years' old

Anakin: 37 years' old

Han: 22 years' old

Mara: 20 years' old

Luke and Leia: 18 years' old

Lance, Louis, and London: 7 years' old

Chapter Fifty-Four

The next morning comes up, the sun is shining with a little bit of clouds. Padme is in the kitchen making some blueberry, chocolate chip, and plain pancakes with lots of bacon, as well as a fruit salad. The Skywalkers have a very large family, 11 in total. Meals are always an adventure with Chewie eating all the bacon most of the time, while Lance complaining about why they must have fruit. Anakin and Mara are preparing for their month trip to the Unknown Regions. During breakfast, Anakin explained to the family how on Monday, him and Mara will be leaving to complete her trials and when they return, Lance, Louis, and London will be picked by a Jedi Master to be trained as Jedi. Anakin also explained to them that after they get picked by a Jedi Master that they will travel with their masters for a few weeks to IIum to find their crystals for their lightsabers, how its very hard to find the crystals, it takes all their Force power to find and make their sabers. The triplets are very excited to hear this, they are a little disappointed that Mara and their father will be missing their birthday next week, but they understood

Han has the weekends off from work, his mechanic shop isn't open on weekends, but him and Chewie are working on building a spaceship, it has everything that they could ever want. This ship has some smuggling compartments, which Padme didn't really like. Han assured Padme it would just be a place to keep luggage. Building a ship is a lot of work. He is also trying to save for an apartment near the Skywalkers. Chewie and him have been saving all the money they can, but it looks like they might just build the ship they are building and travel around the universe.

Han and Leia are still on weird terms, there definitely is some chemistry going on, but Han has September. Leia is done dating for a while after her attack, she tried a few weeks ago dating this guy named Alex but he was just a creepy and made her very uncomfortable. Over the past week, Luke got a girlfriend, her name is Audrey. She has fiery red hair that was really bushy and intense freckles. Leia teases Luke that Audrey looks like she could be Mara's younger sister. Leia knows that Luke has an insane crush on Mara, ever since she was with the Skywalker Family.

After breakfast, Anakin sent Mara to go pack up for their trip out to the Unknown Regions. Lola and the triplets went outside to play outside. Han went on a date with September while Chewie went outside to go watch the kids. Leia went out with Padme to go pick up some essentials for Anakin and Mara's trip. Luke walked into Mara's room.

"What's up Luke?" Mara asked as she packs up her luggage

"Nothing much, Audrey and I got into an argument." Luke stated blandly

"Haven't you only been dating like a week?" Mara suggested

"Uh yeah, I don't think its going to work out." Luke saddened

"I am sorry to hear that Lukie." She hugged him, his heart fluttered, he couldn't help it. Mara is just so beautiful, smart, and strong. Mara could feel his nervousness and love. Mara thought for a second, she was leaving for a month, Luke has loved her ever since she could remember. Is it possible that she could love him back? What if she didn't then everything blew up and the Skywalkers', her only family, wouldn't love her again. Plus, there's Adam, her current boyfriend who is smart and good at fixing everything, and he works with Han. This feeling that she is feeling, isn't anything she has ever felt in her entire life. She feels comfort, happiness, and love in Luke's arms, most importantly she felt safe and herself.

"Luke…uh." Mara blushed

"I know Mara." Luke smiled

"I can't hurt Adam." Mara frowned

"I know Mara, I have to talk to Audrey." Luke coughed

"Tonight, let's talk. When everyone is asleep. We need to change this." Mara stated. "I am going to talk to Adam now." She picked up her HoloPhone. Luke left to give her privacy.

"Hi Adam."

"Hi love, how are you? I have missed you." Adam smiled

"Yeah uh, I am going away for a month to complete my Trials." Mara explained

"Congratulations! I am so proud of you baby!" Adam cooed

"This isn't going to work anymore Adam; I can't keep doing this." Mara choked

"What do you mean?" Adam stopped

"Look, I am doing what I have to do. I am working to become a Jedi Knight and I just don't think this is working out the way I want it to. I am really sorry." Mara sighed

"I get it. Sorry." Adam hung up clearly hurt

Mara felt very bad, but knew it was the right thing to do. She knew that it was the right thing to do, instead of hiding her feelings for Luke, she should embrace it, but she was afraid for the first time in her life. There is a lot of things to think about.

In the other room Luke is in his room on his HoloPhone calling Audrey up. He wasn't that nervous about breaking up with her because it's only been a week and she was kind of sleazy. All she wants to do is make out all the time and mess around. Luke just wasn't getting emotionally filled by this relationship. Its purely a physical attraction. Luke wouldn't even call Aubrey a girlfriend, she was more friends with benefits.

"Hey Aub." Luke sighed

"What's up hotty." Aubrey boasted

"Look Aubrey, I am not sure if this is going to work out." Luke stated hashly

"I see. Too bad your—" Luke pulled his ear away from the phone and waited until she stopped talking. I would make this process easier for him. He waited until he didn't hear Aubrey talking about his package.

"Auuub" Luke called "Look Aubrey, its just not going to happen anymore okay? Its just not working, plus if my family found out, especially my dad, I wouldn't hear the end of it. Okay?"

"Whatever blondey, your loss. Call me when your relationship falls apart, we can have more fun then. For now, I miss yoouuuuuuu. I think about you later tonight." Aubrey promised. Luke hung up, and really hoped that no one heard that exchanged. How was he going to tell Mara that he isn't a virgin anymore? Would that make Mara hate him for not saving himself? The only person that knows about these endeavors is Leia.

The day progresses as Mara and Luke pretended; they weren't going to meet up tonight. They both decided that they would meet in the tree house tonight when everyone is asleep. After dinner around 3 hours went by and everyone is in bed

Around 1400 (2am) in the night…

Luke glanced over to Leia, he felt her life force, she was in deep sleep dreaming about passing the Trials, but there seemed to be another thing that's making her life a little more challenging, Luke passed it off as Han being a nuisance. He got out of bed quietly, his bed creaked, but he was able to get up without waking Leia up, he met Mara in the living room and they both slide the sliding door and snuck outside. Climbed the ladder of the tree house, then turned on the lantern that they kept up in the tree house. (Authors Note: when visualizing the tree house, I think of the huts that the Ewoks live on Endor on a evergreen tree)

It is dark outside. A few miles away they could hear the speeders going fast in the airlines. The city world was lit up, but it seemed peaceful. It is perfect.
