A young boy with white hair, pitch black eyes and fair, almost pale complexion, sat in a swing. It was watching the park, where children, human children were playing, Sun beginning to set. Six years, that's how long it had been here, in this world. It learned that from its parents, new parents that is. Pale King and White Lady were still it's biological parents, not that it mattered, as now it was referred to as he.

That was confusing, it was a vessel, gender less construct made out of the Void. Yet, as a human, it was a male, not that it cared much about it's gender. Although, it did come with some benefits, like not being forced to dress into frilly dresses or pink ribbons. Hornet would probably had enjoyed those.

Speaking off, after spending six years in this world, it was able to piece some things together. Hallownest didn't exist in this world, neither did Hornet, nor the Pale King, nor the Hollow Knight. In fact, from what it gathered, this world was predominantly filled with humans, who ruled most of it. Second of all, no Radiance, despite a massive ball of light hanging in the sky. But most importantly, no Soul magic, no Void, even weapons were a rarity.

This world… it was peaceful, too peaceful in fact. Sure, there were wars, people getting killed among others, but the Knight didn't have to fight for its life each day, everything was easy to access, assuming one had money. That was one of the few problems it had. The geo and items it possessed were still there, but they had no value in this world. Sharp weapons were also forbidden, as it's 'parents' almost got a heart attack when it swung a simple knife around the house and forbade it from doing it again.

This combined with the fact that it fulfilled its purpose and destroyed the Radiance, meant that it had no clue what to do with itself. It didn't have any force driving it forward, no goal to accomplish, no dream of it's own that it could dedicate itself too. It tried it's best to blend it, being called a 'prodigy' when it aced all the tests the school threw at it. It also had top marks in physical education, not that it cared about those. It only did that, so that it wouldn't be thrown out and forced to survive on its own. It could do so, but it saw no reason to, it was more convenient to be a 'productive member of society'.

And so, it sat alone, as it often did, simply looking at the horizon. Despite being popular at the school, it's dulled emotions, combined with lack of any reason to mingle with its peers ended up with it being alone, not that it minded. It was used to it, even preferred it. At least this way, nobody would die in a fight with it. As it thought what to do next, it spotted a group of children gathering around some kind of old man. He seemed to be telling stories of some kind, the boys listening intently. That made the Knight curious as it stood up and walked up to the group.

"Listen up, boys. The breasts… they are the ultimate pleasure!" He said as he made circles in the air. "You must learn to love them, for they are the ultimate prize!"

The Knight could only blink at the simplicity of the thesis. Breasts? Ultimate pleasure? That couldn't be right. After all, it looked at them on the internet and didn't see them as anything but two mounds of flesh used to feed young humans. They were soft to touch that was for certain, it still remembered being smothered by its 'mother', but outside of that, it saw no reason to be interested in them. It walked up to the old man, the other children turning towards it.

"...Breasts are not the ultimate pleasure," It said in a quiet voice, while the old man blinked, before laughing.

"You must have never touched the breasts of a woman, have you?" The old man said.

"...I did," It replied, gasps all around it.

"Oh really? Who was it? Your mother?" He asked, while the Knight nodded. "Heh, that's not the same, breasts are the best thing in the world."

"...They are not," It denied, the old man judging him.

"Oh really? Then what is better than breasts, tell me?" He asked.

"...Depends on who you ask. Books, songs, beautiful paintings, many things can be considered 'best', but to claim that only breasts are the best is both false and foolish," The Knight replied, the man glaring at him.

"Pheugh, you don't know anything about the world, boy," The man said.

"...Perhaps, but I know that things outside of breasts can be considered 'best'," It replied, the man scowling.

With that, the Knight turned around and began walking home. This whole lecture seemed to be a waste of time. Well, at least it found out that some humans were easily satisfied. Shaking it's head, the Knight began walking towards it's home, by itself, something it was able to do after convincing its parents, it's backpack hanging loosely on it's back.

Over the course of six years, the Knight was able to restore its power, it's connection to the Void and Soul. Spells, Void manipulation, changing it's form and many others. It didn't like the idea of being defenseless, so it trained to become as strong as it was in it's vessel form. However, it's new form was actually stronger than it's old vessel form. Not only was it taller, it was also stronger and it's body was able to resist damage, without it's shell cracking. Even better was the fact that all it's charms were working better than ever and it was able to have all of them active at the same time, not that it did so, it didn't use all the charms, as not all of them were that good or the fact that it didn't like some of them.

As the Knight walked towards it's house, it noticed someone trailing it, a man in a dark coat, the Void alerting it of his presence. Was that a kidnapper? A serial killer perhaps? It wasn't sure, but fighting in a district full of humans would bring attention towards it, so it decided to take a detour, going through an empty park. Shortly after it entered the park, the man moved, standing in front of the Knight, blocking it's passage, the Knight looking at him with it's dull expression.

"So, boy, would you like a candy?" The man asked, a wicked grin plastered on his face. In response the Knight shook its head, as it prepared to move and hide the backpack in its inventory. "That's too bad, because you look delicious!"

And with that, the man turned into some kind of monster. Lower body of a lion with a massive maw, tail of a scorpion, two arms with long blades held in his hands. That was… not what the Knight expected. He didn't look human, well, for the most part. It had never seen a human like that before. And top of it, it felt wrong, it's old battle instincts flaring up at it.

"Now then, bon appetit!" The man roared as he jumped the Knight, intent on devouring him on the spot.

The Knight didn't waste any time, as it jumped back, hiding it's backpack and summoning it's pure nail, which was more like a knife to it at this point, it's pure white blade shining in the sun. It followed by cutting at the monster, blood pouring from the wound, the man roaring in rage. He then tried to slash the Knight with it's two swords, but the Knight easily parried both of the blades, not a single attack connecting.

However, this gave it an opening, as the knight dashed forward, it's moth-wing cloak flapping behind it as it found itself beneath the monster. Then, the Knight gathered the power of Soul in its hands before unleashing it in the form of devastating Abyss Shriek, ghost-like being blasting above it, it's body turning pitch black for a moment, eyes pure white. The attack tore through the man, killing him on the spot, the body burnt, many pieces of it gone, devoured by the Void.

The Knight looked around, finding nobody around, before it walked up to the head, shock plastered all over it. A blade-like construct appeared in it's right hand, Dream Nail. It allowed it to read memories and gain knowledge of others. It used it on the monster, an encyclopedia worth of knowledge entering it's mind in an instant.

Devils, Fallen Angels, Angels, Yokai… they were all real and what it just fought was a stray devil. The man used to be a human, but was turned into a devil, killed his master and became nothing more but a rabid beast intent on killing everything around it. The reason for that was simple, Evil Piece. The Knight was able to find it and carve it from the body, a red rook made of crystal in its hand.

It didn't know how it worked, but it was curious, it wanted to learn about the process, see if it could use it for itself perhaps? But first, it had to get rid of the body. Focusing on the Void within, pools of dark miasma surrounded it, devouring every last piece of blood, flesh and gore, leaving nothing behind, outside of few broken rocks, that were not enough to deduce what happened here. Making sure nobody was watching it, the Knight resumed it's journey back home. If the world of magic truly existed, it wanted nothing to do with it. There didn't exist magic that could send it back home, at least the man didn't know about it, which meant, it was better to stay away from the supernatural. However, now, the Knight had a reason to become even stronger. The world was dangerous and it refused to die again, not after the countless times it did in the Hallownest.

What the Knight didn't know was that a single use of his magic caused a ripple in the world of a certain dragon. Ophis or better known as Ouroboros Dragon was different than most people imagined it as. The current appearance of the dragon was that of a cute young girl with long black hair down to her hips and black eyes. Her ears were pointed, while her eyes had reptilian stilted pupils. For many years, she waited for a way to get back Dimensional Gap, ever since Great Red intruded upon it, not able to claim it back.

It was the reason why she became the leader of the Chaos Brigade. But, as she watched and waited for an opportunity to appear she felt something, something ancient, as ancient her. In a small city on the planet, a sudden spike of power she didn't recognize. It intrigued her, so using the power she possessed, she teleported herself right to the location she felt the power.

However, upon her arrival, it seemed like she was already too late. She looked around as she tried to sense the power that she felt for a very brief moment. She grasped one of the rocks displaced by a fight, before tossing it to the side. She began looking around, but despite her best attempts, she wasn't able to find anything. This made her frown, but she decided to leave it for now, whatever it was, it was bound to use it's powers again.

Ten years had passed since that event. Ten years since it was first attacked by a stray devil. Ever since that day, the Knight spent most of its free time in the woods, honing it's skills, getting stronger, learning how to fully control the Void, finding out things about it hadn't known before. It had been a trip, but it felt stronger than ever, it's magic changed, it could turn into the Shade Lord at will, but most importantly, it grew up.

It was now a teenager, it's white hair, black eyes and fair complexion not changing in the slightest. It had a lean silhouette, akin to a professional swimmer and today it would be starting it's highschool as first year in the Kuoh academy. It transferred here from it's home town, it's good marks allowing it to do so.

The building itself was massive, looking more like a university with three meter tall walls, fountains, parks, etc. However, when compared to the City of Tears, it felt lackluster, just the rest of the town. Well, at least it wasn't filled with husks trying to kill it all the time. The school used to be female only until recently, but it was changed, not that the Knight cared. Human affection was not something it had use for, not that it found humans attractive in the first place. Hornet, it's sister was cuter than any of the females it had seen thus far. Not to mention, the beautiful Marissa, her soothing voice one of the nicest memories it possessed. However, it seemed like the same couldn't be said about it, as the females all around seemed to be glancing in it's direction.

"Hey look, is that guy a transfer student?" One of the girls asked.

"I think so, he looks cute, doesn't he?" Another girl said.

"He is, isn't he? I wonder if he is available," She said.

"I hope so, as long as he doesn't join the perverted trio, we should be fine," The girl replied.

"These three… I swear they ruin everything," She said.

The female students were wearing standard Kuoh Academy uniforms, with a skirt that was too short as far as the Knight was concerned. As for the Knight itself, it was wearing standard male uniform, which was far more modest. Not that it cared about it. It only wore clothes because it was a requirement in society. After all, all it had in Hallownest was it's cloak.

In the meantime, the Knight began walking towards it's classroom, as it was joining first year students. It knew a way to go and walked through corridors, it's dull expression hiding it's thoughts from the world around. It walked to a classroom, the teacher waiting outside. A male in his forties, reclining hair on the head of the teacher.

"You are Arthur Knight, aren't you?" The man asked, while the Knight nodded. "Good, we have been waiting for you, please come inside and introduce yourself."

The Knight nodded, went inside and looked around. As soon as it did that, all the females in the class focused on it, along with a few males. Among many of the female students, one of them stood out in particular. A petite young girl with white hair and golden eyes sat in one of the chairs located at the back. Most importantly, she wasn't a human. It was able to tell thanks to the rook it found ten years ago. The aura was the exact same, but the devils lay in the details, pun not intended. If the man it fought a decade ago was a chaotic, rampaging beast, the girl in front of it seemed to be much more tame. She wasn't a stray devil, that was for certain, not that it cared. As long as the supernatural world left it alone, it would do the same.

"...Arthur Knight," The Knight introduced itself with it's given name and small bow.

"He looks so cute," One of the girls whispered.

"Look at his skin, it's so pale," Another one added.

"He could give Kiba a run for his money," Another girl added.

"Bloody hell, we have got another pretty boy to steal girls away from us," One of the males complained.

"Silence, everyone!" The teacher exclaimed. "Now then, is there anything you would like to say about yourself?"

"… No," The Knight replied, while the teacher sweat dropped.

"Now..., Arthur, why don't you sit next to Koneko Toujou, there is a seat free over there," The teacher said.

"...Understood," The Knight said, made his way to the seat, sat down, turned towards Koneko and bowed slightly, before turning towards the teacher.

As the Knight sat, Koneko began slightly sniffing the air, as she tried to figure out who or perhaps what was the Knight. However, despite her best attempts and occasional glance, the boy smelt like human, no sacred gear either. It seemed like it was a bust, Rias wouldn't be interested in a boy, not unless he had magic, something she couldn't sense either. She then turned back towards the lecture.

The rest of the lesson was spent with the teacher telling them about the stuff the Knight already knew about. It studied hard, as it had nothing better to do outside of honing it's skills. However, as soon as the lesson ended, it found itself surrounded by the vast majority of the females in the class, it's eyebrow slightly raised.

"Hey, Arthur, where are you from?" One of the girls asked.

"...Europe," It replied in one word.

"Europe? So France? England?" She inquired, while the Knight shook its head. "I see… say, do you want to hang out after school?"

"...No," It replied, the girl sweat dropping from the blunt refusal.

"Don't be like that, we can go to karaoke or something," She tried.

"...Not interested," It replied, stood up, packed itself up and turned towards the humans surrounding it. "May I leave now?"

"Umm… sure I guess," The girl said and let him go.

"What is wrong with him? Why is he so quiet?" Another girl asked, as she watched the Knight leave.

"I don't know, he comes across as cold and distant," Another girl added.

"Maybe he is just shy?" Yet another one asked.

In the meantime, the Knight made its way to the rooftop, nobody beside it there. That's what it hoped for, it didn't need the rubble of humans, their attention, their loud noises. It then opened it's backpack and pulled out a bag full of sweets. If there was one thing it found enjoyable was sweets. It didn't benefit from them, but they were sweet, something it had never felt before. Of course, the sweets were expensive and so it didn't waste too much money on them. However, it was one of the few things it found pleasant in this world.

As it sat there, slowly eating the sweets, it noticed the same girl that it sat next to, peeking from behind one of the corners. It turned towards her, the girl tensing slightly. The two stared at each other for a few moments, before the Knight moved the bag in her direction. That seemed to be enough for the girl to walk up closer to it.

"...Here," It said as it awaited for the girl to take a few sweets for herself.

What it didn't expect was for the girl to grab most of them, leaving only a handful left. It looked into an almost empty bag, then back at the girl, shrugged and resumed eating, the girl sitting next to it, neither of the two saying a word. The girl kept glancing towards it, not that it cared, as long as she didn't do anything harmful to it, it didn't mind sharing some of the sweets. However, it seemed like it had to wait before it could buy another pack or the girl next to it would burn through the money it possessed.

"...Thank you for the sweets," Koneko said, stood up and bowed slightly, her face almost as expressionless as the Knight's.

"...You're welcome," The Knight replied as it packed an empty bag back to it's backpack. "...Koneko Toujou, wasn't it?"

"…" The girl nodded in response. "Arthur Knight, wasn't it?"

"…" The Knight nodded as well, the two lapsing into silence once again. "…Do you like sweets?"

"...Yes," The girl replied. "… Do you?"

"… A bit," The Knight replied. However, before they could continue their conversation, the bell rang, making the Knight stand up. "...It's time to go back."

"...Let's," Koneko agreed and the two began walking back, neither of them saying a word.

After that, the lessons passed in a blink of an eye, the Knight packing himself up, before leaving towards it's home. It was an apartment located not far off from Kuoh. The inside was bare bones, white walls, few pieces of furniture, no paintings, empty fridge, one simple bed. It didn't look like somebody lived here and for all intents and purposes nobody did.

The Knight didn't have much in terms of possessions. Only a big cupboard filled with sweets, along with books and other necessary things for school was an indicator that somebody lived here. It had bought some things like toilet paper, soap and other things, mostly for it's 'parents', due to the fact, they weren't vessels that didn't need to eat, breathe or sleep.

It filled it's bag with some more sweets, taking a few for itself, before it unpacked itself and began studying, a simple light providing illumination. It didn't really need light anymore, but it tried it's best to appear normal, though that was easier said than done. Hopefully it would be able to eat more sweets tomorrow, assuming Koneko didn't eat most of them herself.

"So, Koneko, what can you tell us about the new transfer student?" Rias Gremory asked.

She was a beautiful girl, with waist long red hair and blue eyes. She was sitting on a sofa in front of a small coffee table, Akeno Himejima next to her. The latter was a beauty herself, with long dark hair tied into a ponytail and violet eyes, her demeanor reminiscent of Yamato Nadeshiko. On the other side of the coffee table sat two more girls, Sona Shitori and Tsubaki Shinra. The first one was a student council president with violet eyes hidden behind glasses and short hair. The latter one, Tsubaki Shinra, a vice-president with long dark hair and two eyes of a different colour, one violet, the other one light brown.

"...Quiet, human, no sacred gear," She summarized.

"Are you sure about that? No sacred gear?" Rias asked, while the girl nodded.

"No sacred sear, no magic, nothing," She confirmed, making Rias sigh.

"It seems like it was a bust after all," Sona said, gaining the attention of the group.

"That seems to be the case," Rias agreed. "Did you check his background?"

"I did, but there isn't much to say," Sona replied. "His track record is flawless, never skipping a single day of school, he always scores in top ten of the students and he is not a slouch when it comes to physical education, a prodigy one might say, but that's about it."

"Ara, so he is not connected to the supernatural, is he?" Akeno asked.

"We checked his background, his parents, there was nothing," Tsubaki replied.

"Muu… and here I thought I found myself a new peerage member," Rias complained.

"So, you won't mind if I take him myself?" Sona asked, making Rias blink.

"Why do you care about him? He doesn't have anything special about him," Rias pointed out.

"He doesn't have a sacred gear, that's true. However, his scores are quite impressive. I believe he would make a good pawn, seeing how hard working he is," Sona replied.

"I suppose, what a bummer, I really hope the second lead is better than him," Rias said.

"You're talking about Hyoudu Issei, aren't you?" Sona asked, while Rias nodded. "The fact that one of the most perverted students in the entire school has got a sacred gear is not lost on me."

"Indeed, so what should we do about the Knight?" Rias asked.

"The Knight?" Sona asked, her eyebrow raised.

"I mean, it sounds better than Arthur Knight, don't you think?" Rias pointed out.

"I suppose it does. As for your question, I believe there is no reason for us to keep a close on him. He may be an ordinary person for all we know," She replied.

"Agreed, so do you intend to invite him to a student council?" Rias asked.

"Not yet, I want to see whether or not he is fit for it. Perverted Trio should be a good indicator of it's personality," She explained.

Akeno giggled. "I don't know about you, but I believe the perverted trio might try to add him to their group and turn into a perverted quartet."

"… Perverts," Koneko muttered, despising them with all her heart.

"I doubt it," Sona said, everyone turning towards her. "I did check his background and he doesn't seem to be interested in women or men."

"What do you mean by that?" Rias asked.

"It's what I said. No girlfriend, no friends as far as I know, nothing. In fact, despite being one of the most popular boys in the previous school, he never used it, never socialized, always coming across as cold and distant," She explained.

"… That's… surprising," Rias said.

"It is, it's not normal, but I don't know why that is," She said.

"Hmm… The Knight… he is quite an enigma, isn't he? Fufufu, I wonder if I should play with him," Akeno said.

"Just don't go overboard, Akeno," Rias said.

"Fufufu," Akeno said. "I will keep it in mind."

Quick note, putting more than one chapter in 24 hours doesn't count as update according to fanfiction, so even if I had multiple chapters ready I am going to wait 24h before posting a new one. Also, I am claiming the title of the first Highschool DxD / Hollow Knight crossover, not sure why didn't someone write a crossover like this before.
