Chapter 5
Inside her bedroom, a young girl with glasses and long blue hair was doing some homework for the the day after; she and her classmates had to resolve various equations that their math teacher gave them to do. But while doing this, her thoughts were always directed to a certain golden eyes boy that she had a crush on.
'I would like to have Fuutarou-kun here to help me a bit. So we could also stay alone and maybe I can con-Ahh! W-What am I thinking?!', thought Haruka, blushing immediately at the idea of confessing to the boy.
Since he saved her from some bullies and became her friend in elementary school, she always had some feelings for him, but because of her big shyness, she still didn't confess or ask him out. Sure, she visited him at home sometimes, but his parents' and siblings' presence made it difficult for her to ask him out.
Plus, it seemed that his stepsisters were very affectionate to him, since they often hugged him and passed a lot of time with him. Haruka was slightly jealous of them, but she could understand why the quints were so attached to Fuutarou; he and his family were the ones that took them in after Rena died, but it was essentially Fuutarou that made sure to protect them and be always there for them. No wonder those sisters had such big affection for him.
At a certain point, from behind Haruka's bedroom's door, a voice called, "Haruka, dinner's ready!"
"I'm coming, Mom.", replied the blue haired girl before closing her notebook and leaving her room to have dinner with her parents.
They started to eat together the various dishes that her mother had prepared, with her father asking, "So, how is it at Asahiyama, Haruka? Do you like it as school?"
"A-ah, yes, Dad. E-everyone of my classmates is very nice with me and the teachers too.", she replied sheepishly.
"Oh, that's wonderful to hear. Then Fuutarou-kun can stay calm without fearing that someone bullies you fufu.", said instead her mother, making Haruka blush and her father chuckle.
"M-m-mom!", shouted a very embarassed Haruka before her mother's teasing.
"Haha, I think that you should date that boy, Haruka. You're childhood friends and you like him so much after all."
"Hehe, your father is right. If you don't act fast, Fuutarou-kun will be taken away by another girl.", said he mother, making her daughter gasp at the idea of seeing her love interest with another girl.
"B-but I-I'd like t-to a-ask him out, t-the p-problem is that m-my shyness blocks me everytime."
"You don't have to let that stop you. You just ask him to go out somewhere together and nothing else."
"That's right. Invite that boy to go to the zoo tomorrow after school. He likes animals so that's a nice place for your date with him haha.", said her father with a chuckle, making his daughter blush heavily at the idea of a date with Fuutarou.
Their dinner was then a long course of teasing by Haruka's parents towards her, whose face had a constant and bright shade of red. And when they mentioned that she should kiss him, a lot of steam came out from her ears at such thought and her face was now completely red. Her parents were on par with Fuutarou's when it was about teasing.
The next day, inside the Uesugi household instead, Haruka's childhood crush woke up in his room with a smiling Miku clinging on his arm lovingly. He had let her sleep in his room after she felt asleep the night before while he was helping her with some homework, so it wasn't like she sneaked in his room during the night.
But the problem was that she was hugging his arm and pressing her cleavage against it, making Fuutarou blush embarassed.
'They're very soft.', he thought before shaking his head to stop thinking in that way about one of his stepsisters. He then started to say, "Miku, wake up. We have to go to school."
The young girl started to open slowly her eyes and yawned a little before seeing her brother's face. "Good morning, Fuutarou-nii.", she said with a nice smile.
"Good morning to you too, Miku. Let's go to have breakfast?"
"Gladly, but first I want to do this.", she said before planting a kiss on his cheek, making both him and her blush.
"A-a good morning k-kiss for my beloved brother hehe.", she said with a giggle while hugging his arm tighter. This caused the young boy to feel a softer sensation compared to before, bringing to get up immediately.
"G-good then, I n-need to change now and you too.", he said while still blushing, with her pouting for losing the sweet contact with him but nodding with a smile anyways before leaving the room.
After she left, he sighed in relief and changed into his school uniform, wearing his white shirt opened to reveal a blue t-shirt that highlighted his abs and a pair of black trousers. He also wore a necklace with a shark tooth decoration attached to it that Yotsuba had made for him for joining the swimming club. That had earned a nice headpat that she reciprocated with a hug while her sisters pouted in jealousy.
'Yotsuba said that this necklace will make me swim like a shark. Haha, I would be unbeatable in that case.', he thought, chuckling at the effect of the necklace explained from his stepsister. She was always so funny and cheerful with her ways to help her dear brother.
When he was done with changing his clothes, the ace swimmer got down to have breakfast with his family, quickly receiving various hugs from Nino, Itsuki, Ichika and Yotsuba, who all giggled happily for this. As usual, Isanari teased him about how he was so lovey-dovey with his sisters, making Fuutarou groan in annoyance while Itsuki and Nino were arguing because they wanted to feed him.
Shizuku and Raiha giggled to see Fuutarou receiving so much affection from the quints, with the black haired woman saying that each quint would be great wife for the young boy, causing the appearance of a blush on both the quints' and her son's faces. Fuutarou even hid it with a hand on his face, allowing his parents to chuckle at his expenses.
Then the golden eyes boy and his sisters left to go to school while Isanari accompanied Raiha. During the way, Fuutarou had all the quints clinging on him and asking him how the breakfast tasted (this was a question from Nino) as usual, until they met Haruka that greeted them and blushed at the sight of him.
She received a greeting back from him and his sisters, even if some of them glared at her in jealousy, especially Miku and Nino that considered her a homewrecker. The other sisters were less jealous, but they would frown instantly if she made a move on their beloved brother.
The Uesugi siblings walked with Haruka towards Asahiyama then, and the blue haired girl chatted along the way with him and less with the quints, who continued to clutch on him. Haruka wanted to be clingy with him as well, but her shyness still blocked her, making her pout.
After a while, they arrived to Asahiyama, where Fuutarou greeted various students, especially some girls that blushed and giggled when he smiled at them. Haruka and the quints pouted out of jealousy at this; the young boy's popularity could easily make appear other rivals.
'Mouu, I don't want Fuu-niisan to be taken away!', thought Itsuki, tightening her hug on his arm, making her chest press against it.
"W-what's wrong, Itsuki?", he asked, a little flushed.
"Hehe, I j-just want to be closer to y-you.", she replied, happy and a little embarrassed at the same time.
Her sisters clutched on him as well, making every student to chuckle at how affectionate were the quints were to their brother. On the other hand, Haruka frowned, wanting to be in the 5 sisters' place. She wanted to that close to him too.
The group entered in the school building then, going together to their classroom where they greeted their classmates and started the first hour with a math lesson, during which they had to show their homework to the teacher.
As expected, Fuutarou resulted to be the one to have solved all the equations correctly, followed also by his sisters and Haruka that had mistook some of them. He received a nice compliment from the teacher, while some girls muttered something about how lucky they were such a smart hottie in their class.
Miku heard their muttering and got annoyed; she didn't want to deal with other love rivals as her sisters and Haruka were enough. Obviously, her sisters thought in the same way, especially Nino as she was the most jealous between the quints.
During the second hour, Haruka had launched a small piece of paper on Fuutarou's desk, which was unnoticed by the quints. Curious about the piece of paper, Fuutarou opened it to read a message from Haruka that asked him if he would like to go to the zoo after school.
'Going to the zoo huh? Well, today I don't have activities with the swimming club so why not?', he thought before writing an answer on the piece of paper and throwing it back towards Haruka's desk.
The blue haired girl opened it instantly and happily smiled when she read the positive response of Fuutarou to her invitation. Itsuki and Ichika had noticed her expression anyways, and they guessed that it was related to their beloved brother surely.
After the second lesson, Fuutarou and his sisters left to have lunch together, and Nino happily clutched on his arm, eager to make him eat the bento that she made for him. "I love cooking for you, Fuu-niichan, so making bentoes for you makes me happy.", she told him, hugging his arm tightly.
Feeling jealous, Yotsuba clutched instead on his other arm while the other quints followed behind. The young man was a little embarrassed to have 2 of his sisters being so clingy with him at school, but as they didn't attempt to kiss him, he would not complain.
Haruka, on the other hand, went to have lunch with some friends that she made in class; despite being still very shy, the young girl managed to make some new friends with other girls, even if she felt jealous when they were eyeing Fuutarou with interest.
Of course, she couldn't tell them that she would go to the zoo with him later, as they would tease her or start a chain of rumours about him and her. And she wouldn't like being at the center of attention.
Meanwhile, the ace swimmer was eating and chatting with his sisters while being asked by Nino how was the food that she personally prepared for him.
His opinion for her was very important because even if she knew that he loved her cooking, she wanted to do her best for him in order to become a great girlfriend and wife for him in the future. Isanari's talking about Fuutarou being allowed to marry his sisters is the main cause of this.
"It's delicious obviously, Nino. Mom taught you well how to cook, and I can say that everything you prepare is great.", told her her brother, making blush and smile happily.
I'm really glad to know it, Fuu-niichan.", she replied, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"No fair! Why are you and Miku sitting next to him?", complained a pouting Itsuki.
"Sorry sis, but I sat here first, so don't complain.", said Nino with a smug smirk.
"I like sitting close to Fuutarou-nii. That's why.", said instead a calm Miku while eating some onigiri.
This made Itsuki pout even more while Ichika and Yotsuba simply giggled, even if they felt jealous too of their sisters. Their brother simply smiled, as he was used to these cute disputed between them for sitting next to him or something similar. They didn't bother him at all.
The lunch time ended after a while, so the Uesugi siblings and their classmates went back to class for 2 good hours of Sciences, during which their teacher talked about some aspects of astronomy, like the life of a star or constellations. The mention of constellations perked Yotsuba's interest, as that word reminded her a shonen anime that she often watched with Fuutarou during middle school.
It was an anime about some teenagers capable of great feats thanks to a power called Cosmos and that possessed all different and fantastic armors. She remembered also that her brother wore a costume during Carnival 2 years ago that remembered a badass character called Phoenix no Ikki.
'Fuutarou-niisama was really cool with that costume. He looked like a powerful knight.', thought the bunny ribbon girl, smiling at such nice memory. A memory that she conserved in the form of a photo taken with him in that occasion where she was dressed as a princess and hugged him lovingly. Her sisters had taken a single photo with him as well to then take one all together with their parents and Raiha. Photos are always nice memories after all.
Finally, the lessons were finished so everyone started to pack his things to go home. But instead of going at home with his sisters, Fuutarou told them, "Sorry girls, but I have to go somewhere else before going home. You can go before me meanwhile."
This surprised the 5 sisters, since he didn't have club activities. " Don't you want that we come with you, Fuutarou-niisama?", asked him Yotsuba.
"No, don't worry. You can go home before me as I said. Just be safe, ok?", he replied while patting her head, getting a happy nod from her. Her sisters nodded as well, so he went to a different direction than their usual way to go home.
"Girls, I think that this has something to do with Haruka-San.", suddenly said Ichika, catching the attention of her sisters minus Itsuki.
"Huh? What's that girl had to do with Fuutarou-nii's commission?", asked Miku.
"During the second hour, I saw that Haruka-San smiled happily after reading a small piece of paper, and I guess that it has related to Fuu-niisan.", said Itsuki with a frown.
"A small piece of paper? Hmm, w-wait…You think she asked him out via that piece of paper and he said yes?!", asked Miku again, this time loudly and making an aura of jealousy appear around her and her sisters.
"That lover thief wants to steal Fuu-niichan from me! How dare she!"
"Nooo! I don't want that Fuutarou-niisama gets taken away from us!", said instead Yotsuba with funny anime tears.
"There's only a solution: we have to follow Fuu-nii to find out if he's going somewhere with her.", proposed Ichika, getting a fast nod in agreement from her sisters. So they went immediately in the direction that Fuutarou took, hoping that he didn't really go alone with her anywhere.
And after some walking, they found their beloved brother waiting near a wall for someone, and to their disbelief, that someone was no other than the blue haired girl that smiled at the boy like he did with her. This made each quint pout and frown in jealousy, in particular when they saw the 2 of them starting to walk and chat together, prompting the Uesugi quints to follow them.
"S-so, are you liking Asahiyama, F-Fuutarou-kun?", asked Haruka while walking by her crush side.
"Yep, it's a nice school and I'm getting along pretty well with our classmates and swimming club members. And you, Haruka?"
"I-I l-like it as well, also because I-I managed to make new friends in our class.", she shyly replied.
"Glad to know it. At least I know that anyone isn't bullying you or I would have to punch him haha.", chuckled the golden eyes boy, making her giggle.
'Your will to protect who is dear to you and your kindness make me love you more, Fuutarou-kun.', she thought while looking at him with a blush and a blissful smile.
They continued to chat like this until they finally arrived to the zoo, where they were asked if they were a couple by a woman at the ticket window to have a discount. This made both of them blush immediately, but Fuutarou replied that they were just friends, which made Haruka frown. After they entered in the zoo, the quints entered as well to continue to follow the 2 of them.
Once inside the zoo, Fuutarou and Haruka decided to use the map that they were given to choose which animals to look af first, choosing to go to see the tigers and the lions first. In order to not lose sight of her, the boy grabbed her hand and told her to hold it with a smile, making her blush embarassed while the aura of jealousy surrounded the quints at the sight of their handholding.
So the tour to the zoo started for the 2 teenagers, beginning with a look at the tigers, the lions and the leopards to pass then to take a look at some birds like eagles and parrots.
There was a place where the zoo staff took care of kitties and puppies, where the ace swimmer was surrounded by such cute animals and happily played with them. The quints blushed and smiled at seeing him like that while they were still looking at him from distance; his happy grin was always beautiful for them.
Then, Fuutarou and Haruka went to look at the snakes, even if the blue haired girl was not so eager to do that as she was scared of them. In fact, she was hugging Fuutarou's arm very tightly while looking at the snakes, as if her fear was overwhelming her shyness.
Nino and Miku didn't like at all how Haruka was clinging on their beloved brother, who was trying to assure Haruka by telling her that the snakes wouldn't do anything to her as they were inside the glass cases.
But when what seemed to be a python attacked the glass when Haruka and Fuutarou passed in front of it, the young girl screamed and jumped instantly, taking Fuutarou by surprise that had to catch her in his arms.
"H-Hey, calm down, Haruka. He's under the glass so he can't hurt you.", he said to assure her.
"S-sorry, F-Fuutarou-kun, but I-Ehhhh?!", she shouted again when she noticed that she was being carried by him in princess style.
'F-Fuutarou-kun caught me in his arms like a princess! T-this is so embarrassing. S-Still, I-I l-like being so close to him.', she thought with a huge blush on her face while Nino, Miku and Itsuki were resisting the urge to intervene as they got extremely jealous when Fuutarou caught Haruka like that. Even Yotsuba and Ichika were trying to not intervene, especially the bunny ribbon girl that wanted to be in Haruka's position.
Fuutarou, on the other hand, was still taken aback by Haruka's action, and despite looking calm while holding her like that, he was a little embarassed as he could feel her chest touching his a little. So he put her down and patted her head to calm her down, managing to make her blush once again and smile too. Somehow, this calmed down his sisters too.
When the blue haired girl was completely calm, she and her crush went to look at the giraffes, the rhinos and some other animals, chatting and chuckling together.
This was enough to make the shy girl's smile brightly, happy to pass some time alone and have fun with the boy that she had a crush on. Even if they weren't a couple, this felt more like a date for her than a simple hanging out. And the only thought made her happier and blush profusely.
From the distance, the quints continued to follow and observe what their brother and Haruka with perpetual pouts on their faces. They didn't like at all how the blue haired girl was so chummy with their brother, and after seeing her be caught by him in bridal style, their jealousy was now even bigger.
'I have to be more careful or she and other girls will take him away from me.', thought each quint, deciding to be more aware of her love rivals. And that included also trying to make Fuutarou fall for her faster.
After an hour during which they are some churros from a little stand, the golden eyes boy and Haruka exited from the zoo and were about to go home. "Thank you for inviting me here, Haruka. I really enjoyed looking at the animals together."
"Y-you're w-welcome, F-Fuutarou-kun. I-I k-knew that you liked animals, s-so I t-thought that y-you would l-like to come here."
"Haha, and you were right. Also, this made me discover your fear of snakes. That means that I have to get rid of one that tries to attack you in the future!", he said with a chuckle, making her giggle as well.
"Hehe, y-you're so brave, F-Fuutarou-kun. Thank you, especially for coming here with me."
After that reply, the young boy grinned and gave her a thumbs-up, which was reciprocated with a smile accompanied by a blush. They then proceeded to go back to their houses together, and after greeting Haruka when they arrived to her house, the ace swimmer walked towards his as he looked forward to having dinner with his family.
When he reached his house and stepped inside, he shouted an energetic "I'm home!" before getting hugged by Raiha and greeted by Shizuku and Isanari.
After that, he went to put down his bag in his room and joined his family to have dinner with the Tonkatsu, the miso soup and other delicious things cooked by Shizuku, Raiha and Nino. The butterfly ribbons quint in particular was sitting very close to at his right while Itsuki was at his left, trying to feed him with the "Say ahh" technique.
This made Isanari tease his son as usual while Fuutarou sighed and ate the pieces of food offered to him by his stepsisters. Ichika, Yotsuba and Miku pouted because they wanted to feed him lovingly too.
Their dinner was full of chuckles and little discussions between Nino and Itsuki, as each other wanted to be the only one to feed Fuutarou. The boy managed to calm them down by headpatting them, making them blush and kiss his cheeks, coloring them in red.
"Hahaha, you and your stepsisters are reallymade for each other, son!", said Isanari to tease his son that blushed. Shizuku and Raiha giggled at this while the quints were flushed but smiled; seeing their brother blush at the mention of marrying them made them quite happy.
After dinner, Fuutarou decided to go to study a little in his room before taking a bath and going to bed. Itsuki asked him if she could revise something with him, obtaining a nod from him that made her smile and hug him happily.
So the 2 of them went to his room while Nino and Miku helped to wash the dishes and clean the table while Ichika and Yotsuba watched a movie on the TV. Once inside his room, Fuutarou and Itsuki started to study the arguments that the Sciences teacher had explained; during this, the ahoge girl was sitting very close to her brother, leaning her head on his shoulder.
'I love being so close to Fuu-niisan hehe.', she thought while smiling happily, with the ace swimmer helping her to revise and caressing her head when she answered correctly to his questions.
They revised for at least 30 minutes before Fuutarou decided to go to take a bath. "Umm, F-Fuu-niisan, w-would you like that w-we take a bath together?", suddenly asked him a flushed Itsuki.
"E-ehhh?! W-we can't, Itsuki! W-we're not kids anymore, remember? So I'm sorry, but no.", replied a blushing Fuutarou before leaving his room. This made Itsuki pout, bringing her to decide to do something of unexpected.
Inside the bathroom, the ace swimmer was taking a relaxing bath while thinking about the zoo tour with Haruka. He really had fun with watching the animals and playing with the kitties and puppies too, and he hoped to go there again with his family during summer maybe like he always did.
But his thoughts were interrupted by the bathroom's door opening and a voice saying, "F-Fuu-niisan, I-I-I'm coming in."
This alarmed him and made him turn around to see a flushed Itsuki with just a towel around her body to hide her intimate parts. Fuutarou turned around again with a huge blush on his face before saying, "I-Itsuki! W-what a-are you doing here?!"
"I-I'm here t-to wash y-your back, F-Fuu-niisan!", she replied, stuttering a little.
"B-but I told you that we c-can't have a bath together like when we were kids! I-It's embarrassing!"
"I-I w-want to wash your back anyways!", she said before hugging him from behind tightly, pressing her chest against his back.
'I f-feel something very soft on my back.', he thought while blushing deeply because of the sensation on his back, with his stepsister hugging him tighter.
"F-Fuu-niisan, do y-you hate me?", she suddenly asked him with a sob.
"W-What?! Absolutely not! I would never hate you, Itsuki. We're family, remember? I-I'm just embarrassed and nothing else."
"R-really?"
"Yes.", he genuinely replied, making her smile and tighten her hug, pressing her breasts more on his back.
"T-thank you, Fuu-niisan! I-I love you!", she said while kissing him on the cheek, making him more embarrassed but smile too.
But then, the door of the bathroom was opened again to reveal the other 4 sisters with their assets hidden by just a towel like Itsuki. "That's unfair! I want to take a bath with Fuu-nii/Fuu-niichan/Fuutarou-nii/Fuutarou-niisama too!", they said in unison, shocking their sister and Fuutarou.
"All of you, get out please!", he shouted with a completely flustered face, making them reluctantly get out the bathroom with frowns. After they were out of there, the ace swimmer sighed before looking at the cellar.
'I'm sure that Dad and Mom heard my shout and are now chuckling at my expenses. Seriously, joining me in the bath? I know that we used to do that as kids, but now it's embarrassing! I feel that they will attempt this again in the future.' , he thought, prospecting already another possible embarrassing situation in the future. And knowing his stepsisters, that could really happen again haha.

Chapter 5 is here my friends! Yep, Fuutarou's embarrassing situations continue to happen as you can see with Miku sleeping in his bed and her and her sisters trying to join him in the bath. Lucky/poor guy haha.
Haruka managed also to hang out with him to the zoo like they were on a date, even if the quints were there to follow them around, trying their hardest to not intervene when Haruka jumped in Fuutarou's arms to get caught like a princess. This made her flushed and very happy, but the quints got extremely jealous of her haha. This means that they will be more on guard against her and other potential rivals.
Each quint is also more eager to make Fuutarou for her, and Itsuki's attempt to have a bath with him is already sign of that. Even if her sisters did the same haha. Will they try to do this again? Stay tuned to find out.
