Ever since the day Sona explained supernatural, things were oddly peaceful. She did mention there was a possibility of wiping the Knight's memory, but the Knight said there is no point. It didn't want to get involved in the supernatural natural world, but having knowledge about it was useful.

It also had another upside, as the Knight knew about the supernatural, the devils didn't have to hide their supernatural abilities from it. Saji gloated how he was faster and stronger as a devil than as a human, not that the Knight cared. They still kept most of the supernatural stuff private, but the Knight was fine with that. Momo, Sona, Tsubaki and everyone else were good people… well devils, so it didn't mind having them around. And they were still happy to have it around for some reason.

"… Not a devil yet?" Koneko asked, while the Knight glanced at her, the two sitting on a rooftop, munching on sweets.

"… Indeed," It replied. "… Curious why?"

"… Yes," She replied.

"… Can keep a secret, promise to keep a secret?" The Knight asked.

"… I promise," Koneko said, her curiosity getting better of her. She didn't have much choice when it came to being turned into a devil, so she wanted to know why the Knight hadn't changed yet.

"… I will not become a devil," The Knight replied, Koneko's eyes spread wide open.

"… What about Sona?" Koneko asked, as she tried to wrap her head around what she was told.

"… She knows, a lie, makes Rias stay away from me," The Knight explained.

"… Clever, but why?" She inquired.

"… Happy with what I am," The Knight replied, before turning towards her. "… Are you happy with being a devil?"

"… I think so," Koneko replied hesitantly. "… Didn't have much choice."

"… Don't talk, if you don't want to," The Knight said, while the girl nodded. "… Don't tell Rias."

"… I won't, I promised," Koneko said.

"… Thank you," The Knight said.

"… You're welcome," Koneko replied. "… Do you like being in the Student Council?"

"… It keeps me busy," The Knight replied. "… Same as you."

"… Is that good?" She asked, her head tilted to the side.

The Knight shrugged in response. "… Not sure… Playing chess together… grateful, Koneko."

The girl blinked in response, her lips curled slightly upward. "… I see. Want to play something different together?"

"… Like what?" The Knight asked, it's head tilted to the side.

"… Video games?" She suggested.

"… Haven't played those before," The Knight admitted.

"… Then how about you buy a console?" She asked.

"… Perhaps, I will think about it, Koneko," The Knight replied.

"… Okay," The girl said. "… I need to go somewhere after school."

"… Okay, be careful," The Knight said, while the girl nodded in response.

"I will," She replied.

After spending some more time with Koneko, the Knight decided to head to one of the electric stores and buy a console. It wanted to see if it was fun and made others happy, just like flowers did. So, it found itself in one of these, surrounded by countless devices it had no use for. Fridges, washing machines, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, etc.

As a vessel, it didn't need most of the stuff. It did keep appearance for as long as possible, though, dealing with parents and how it didn't need to eat was troublesome. The biggest problem was a simple fact of going to the toilet, it was one of the weirdest experiences in it's life. At least, now it knew why humans needed so many toilets in their life.

"Welcome, how can I help you?" A male attendant asked.

"… Console with video games, multiple people playing it," The Knight said.

"Ah, I see. Well, are you looking for an online experience or something akin to sitting on a couch playing together on one console?" The attendant asked.

"… Couch," The Knight decided. Sitting next to one other seemed reasonable. The Internet didn't seem that good compared to it, not that it used it for the most part. It didn't even have a phone.

"Then, there are two consoles, Xbox and Playstation, both have a wide assortment of games you can play together. Are you looking for co-op games or something that is against other players?" The attendant asked.

"… Together, I think," The Knight said.

"Well, then Xbox sounds reasonable and it's quite user friendly. It costs only fifty thousand yen," The attendant explained. "Though, you still need a tv screen and speakers to get full experience."

"… Total amount?" The Knight asked.

"It depends what you are looking for, dear customer. Some tv screens and stereo systems can cost more than the console itself. I think for the first time, around one hundred fifty thousand Yen will be more than enough to set you up," The attendant explained.

"… I see. Can you do that? Clueless about it myself," It said.

"… Of course, leave me to it," The attendant said, bowed and began explaining all the different devices.

Truth to be told, the Knight didn't care about the devices, but if it made others happy, it was good enough it supposed. Over the years, it saved up a lot of money, even with sweets being one of the main things it spent money on. It wasn't much, but a grand total of one million yen was quite a lot, the money it received on a monthly basis more than enough to keep it going.

The rest of the shopping spree went swimmingly all things considered. The Knight bought everything it needed, the delivery set to arrive the next day. Now, all it needed to do was get back home, nothing coming up on the radar. It decided to go through a nearby park, as it was nice weather and would be a nice shortcut to it's home.

However, as the Knight was walking through the park, it noticed something a figure of some kind laying in some kind of liquid. This intrigued the vessel, as it walked up to it, finding a familiar individual. Hyodou Issei was in front of it, bleeding from a massive hole in his chest, his breath shallow. The Knight looked around, trying to find the one responsible, but it seemed like it was late.

It looked back at the boy and considered it's option. There was nothing stopping it from simply leaving the boy and letting him die. The Knight didn't care for Issei, why would it? It had slain countless foes, thousands of beings, the boy was at best an acquaintance, not someone the Knight would risk it's life for. As it pondered what to do, it noticed a piece of paper glowing red in Issei's hand, before a circle of some kind appeared next to him, Rias Gremory appearing right next to them.

"… Gremory," The Knight greeted, the girl turning towards it. She then looked down and noticed Issei, her eyes narrowed.

"Knight, what happened here?" She asked.

"… Don't know, already dying when I found him," The Knight replied.

"You didn't see anyone?" She asked, while the Knight shook its head. "I see, now if you excuse me, I am going to save Issei."

"...By turning him into a devil against his will?" The Knight asked, a red pawn in Rias' hand, the girl stopping as she glared right at him.

"Would you rather have him die here like this?" She asked.

"… No opinion, don't care about him, just pointing it out," It replied.

Being turned into a devil against one's will was not something that the vessel found comfortable, it was reminded too much of its own past and the fate of the rest of it's siblings. When Pale King decided to stop the infection spreading out throughout his kingdom, he came up with a plan, a very questionable plan. By courting the White Lady, the pair gave birth to thousands of bugs, which were then dropped into the Abyss.

There, the Void shaped them, changed them, killed them, turned them into empty beings that could house the heart of the infection. And just like the Knight and it's siblings were turned into something else, so would Issei, if it hadn't done something. However, it didn't have to, not anymore, it was able to reverse the process last time, it could do it again, not that it wanted to. And the last thing it needed was Rias knowing of the abilities it possessed.

"Well, if you don't mind, I am going to save Issei," She said and snipped out a pawn, before putting it on the boy's chest. "… Not enough? Then how about two?"

He then watched as the girl put another chess piece next to the other, but that didn't seem to work. She didn't seem to be paying attention to the Knight, as she kept adding more and more pieces, until she found herself at eight of them, the girl blinking at the sheer amount of Evil Pieces. She then shook her head, before the pieces melded into the boy's body and the hole in his chest began to close.

"… Eight?" The Knight asked, it's head tilted to the side, the girl turning towards it.

"Eight, that's unusual, it must because of his sacred gear," Rias explained. "Which reminds me, how many pieces did Sona use on you? I know Saji cost four of them."

"… Just one pawn," The Knight replied.

"Just one, huh? At least there is that," Rias muttered the last part. "Anyway, I am going to take Issei back home, if you don't mind."

"… Go ahead, Gremory," Knight said, bowed and left the two behind, a presence watching him from the shadows.

The Knight only managed to walk a few hundred meters away from the spot, where it found Issei, when it noticed a very sharp object coming from behind it. Old instincts kicked it, the Knight jumping to a side, a spear of some sorts flying where it's body used to be just moments ago. It then turned around, where it noticed a man with a fedora, the same man it met a few weeks ago.

"So, first you scout a church, now I see you mingling with devils, that's quite suspicious, if you ask me," The man said.

"… Man from before," The Knight said.

"The same, name's Donhaseek, now, do me a favour and put up a fight, I would hate to kill you quickly," The man said, before he summoned a light spear of purple colour in his hands.

"… Where is he?" Ophis asked, the Knight late to his home.

Did he forget about her? No, that shouldn't be the case. Did something happen? She hoped not, but just in case, she decided to look for him. At the same time, a certain nekoshou was walking back home, swinging by the park on her way there, a bag of snacks in her hands. She was taking a shortcut, when she felt power that made her eyes spread wide open. Holy Power, here? In Kuoh? She bit her lip as she proceeded in the direction of it, a boom of some kind coming from the park.

The Knight was running around, dodging projectiles, which tried to skewer it. This wasn't going well, not in the slightest. It was holding back it's power, because there was still a possibility that Rias was there. However, it didn't want to keep dodging as a small slip up could mean a heap lot of trouble for it. So, that meant, it was time to use charms.

First Dream Shield, a shield that looked similar to a petal of flower with bright circles of dreams around it, boosted by Dream Wielder charm, making it bigger and more effective. The Knight controlled the shield and put it in front of a spear coming towards it. It watched as the spear impacted the shield, only to break apart harmlessly.

"What the…? Oh, so you can fight after all, boy," Dohnaseek snickered as he inspected the construct in front of him. "Interesting… a sacred gear? Though I can't sense it, so you probably can hide it somehow. Impressive, but you can't defeat me with just a shield, now can you?"

"… Didn't intend to," The Knight replied, before it called upon the second charm it had in mind.

One major problem the Knight had during a fight was that it's opponent could fly. Nothing new to it, but troublesome for it's current circumstances. There were many charms it possessed, some more useful than others, three of which came to mind. Glowing Womb, Weaversong and last but not least Grimmchild.

The first two could create beings, which would fight for the Knight, but they had two downsides. Weaversong spiders could only jump, but they couldn't fly. On the other hand, Glowing Womb could fly, but drained the Soul the Knight possessed. That left only Grimmchild, charm that let it call upon a fiery companion that would fight for it.

However, as soon as the Knight tried to do that, it noticed the charm was… gone. How did that happen? It didn't know, but it didn't have time to ponder upon that, as the fallen angel in front of him threw a spear behind it. The Knight quickly dashed forward without it's moth-wing cloak, an explosion coming from behind it. Just as it considered it's next options, a boulder of decent size came from the side, which then smashed right into the angel sandwiching him between the stone and a tree.

"Gah!" The man yelled, as he tried to wiggle himself from underneath the boulder. "Why you…!"

"… Are you alright?" Koneko asked, her fists ready for a fight.

"… For now," The Knight replied.

"You dare," The man began, as he pushed the rock away from him.

"… We should kill him," The Knight said.

"… Let's," Koneko agreed, as she prepared her fists.

However, as the group prepared for yet another round of combat, Ophis found herself watching the fight. Should she interfere? It didn't seem to be necessary, not with the shield and now a devil at Knight's side. However, as she watched a burst of crimson flames appeared between the parties, making Ophis eyes spread wide open.

There from it, an individual dressed in black, with a touch of crimson added to the mix appeared, his blood red eyes glancing between them, even turning to her for a moment, before he turned towards Knight. He then proceeded to bow, his form different from anything Ophis had ever seen. It wasn't human, nor an angel, she wasn't sure what he was and that made her curious in response and a bit… scared?

"Hello, my friend, we met yet again," Troupe Master Grimm greeted them, Koneko looking at him suspiciously. "Now I wish we could dance once more, but I am afraid that won't happen. Sixteen years have passed since that passion filled dance and now the ritual must be repeated once more by somebody else. But do not be alarmed, I have come to your aid one last time, a masterful performance, if I can say so myself."

"… I see, thank you, Grimm," The Knight said. Hearing this, Grimm or perhaps former Grimmchild smiled, before he turned towards the Fallen Angel, who looked a bit worried by the sudden increase of possible opponents.

"Now… You have tried to hurt my dance partner, haven't you? So… it's only fair I return the favour," Grimm spoke as he began taking slow controlled steps towards the fallen angel.

"What… the hell are you?" Dohnaseek asked, light spear at the ready, a feeling of dread spreading across his body.

"Troupe Master Grimm… and your opponent," Grimm replied with a bow. Then he raised his cape and said, "Now… die!"

A swarm of flaming red bats launched from his cape, homing towards the Fallen Angel, who flew higher in the air to avoid them. However, Grimm in turn disappeared in a burst of flames, before appearing right above the angel, a look of shock on his face. Grimm then turned his body into a screw-like shape and dashed right into the fallen angel, impaling him and smashing him to the ground, flesh blood coming from the wound.

The fallen angel yelled, while Grimm simply teleported away from the angel, before his cape impaled the ground. The angel coughed as he tried to understand what was going on, before dozens of twisted cloak spikes shot out from the ground, killing him on the spot, his body turned into a perfect example of swiss cheese.

"Now… that's my better," Grimm said, as he walked up to the duo. "Take care, my friend, I hope we can dance once again in the future." With that, Grimm bowed one last time, before he disappeared as soon as he came, leaving the group behind.

"… Who… was that?" Koneko asked, as she turned towards the Knight.

"… Old Flame," The Knight replied.

"… That was horrible," Koneko said, not amused by the selection of the words.

"… Perhaps… I helped him out in the past," The Knight settled on.

"… In what way did you help him?" Ophis asked, the two turning towards her.

Koneko's eyes spread wide open as she recognized the scent in front of her. It was the same as she felt back at the Knight's house not so long ago. The girl turned towards her, making her shiver in return. The two were staring at each other, before the Knight stood in front of them.

"… Allow me to introduce, Koneko, Ophis, Ophis, Koneko," The Knight said.

"… Pleased to meet you," Koneko said with a nod.

"… Likewise," Ophis replied with a nod of her own, before the two turned towards the Knight. "… How did you help him and what was he?"

"… Can't say, secret, not sure about the second one," The Knight replied, the two staring at him suspiciously. "… Can you keep what happened today a secret?"

"… I can, but…," Koneko began.

"… You want something in return?" The Knight guessed. "… I see... What about you, Ophis?"

"… Same," Ophis replied.

"… What do you want, Koneko?" Knight asked.

"… Video Games together," She said. "… And sweets, lots of them."

"… Okay, console arrives tomorrow, sweets I will buy tomorrow," Knight said and turned towards Ophis. "… Ophis?"

That was actually a good question for Ophis. She did see quite a lot today, she had plenty of questions, but those she could ask when they were alone. The more she got to know Knight, the more questions she had. He was very intriguing and she wanted to learn more about him and his friend, but she had time, no need to rush it. And now, she could ask a favour of him. What could she ask for? Hmm… actually, she had never played video games before. That could be interesting.

"… Same as Koneko," She settled on, the girl looking at her.

"… Understood, please come tomorrow to my home, Koneko morning, Ophis afternoon" The Knight said. That way both would get an equal amount of time.

"… Okay, I will come tomorrow. See you later, Knight," Koneko said, bowed and left, a bit nervous around the girl.

"… I think we should say goodbyes today," The Knight suggested.

"… Lot has happened, somebody could come," She agreed. "… I will see you tomorrow."

And with that, the duo said their goodbyes, all three parties leaving alone to go back to their appropriate homes.
