Volume 1: THE CASL Trailer (Author's Note: Yes all of them, now CUE MUSIC!)

Vacuo nights would have been beautiful if it were not for the city lights that polluted the night sky from its starlight. The few raving parties within the desert-based city had felt like an eyesore for a particular young man as he followed his team to be inducted into the organization... tonight was the night their goals would come to fruition... tonight was the night the Crown would open up their arms to them.

Entering the Mirage, a well-known club, his friends disperse as he follows suit behind the redhead. Her friends disperse as she greets the young man with a rather lax smile.

"Cael, seriously glad to have you join us... when I found out someone was rising up in the ranks of our little gang it made me curious. What have you been doing since we separated from Atlas?" She questions the young man as a drink is slid right to her by the bartender. Without looking she confidently took a drink of her regular order within the club. Cael glances up at her with his own faint smile. "Well, surviving and making the most of any given situation... I'm surprised you joined Crown, considering why you left Atlas in the first place." His tone is rather somber. It's more than obvious he dislikes the environment here but seems to be enjoying the redhead's company.

"Well, people change, can't be helped... so long as we're not being made cannon fodder for dictatorship. I'm all for control." The way she talked and the confidence she exuded was nostalgic. It's almost as if not a single day has passed since they last saw each other. They shared the moments of their journeys throughout Vacuo.

The jovial sensation of past camaraderie brought about a stupor in Cael he has not had in ages. However, the redhead's next words brought him back to a sobering reality. "Now tell me why you're here Cael, we both know this isn't something up to your speed." Cael's eyes that were once locked absently staring at his drink rush back to the redhead. "Carmine... I..." he releases a sigh as he looks around the club again to see a glint in the rafters and three of her companions circle them. "I came here to give you an out... The headmistress, Isis, and now Prof. Theodore know of the Crown. I thought it would be better if you were either gone or turned yourself in." As he said this he felt one of her Sai at his throat. He turns to look unimpressed as he raises a finger so he could take the first real and large gulp of his drink.

Looking back at her to see the glare she was still holding. If a stare could kill hers would be as sharp as her Sai. "Before we take you to the king, care to share where your team went?" Carmine spoke with a venom in her voice that betrayed the familiar smile she wore. She was right people do change and the girl that he fled Atlas with was long gone. "Fine then... Sulfur and Ayla are guiding a team to clear out the base right now... we're supposed to apprehend you and your team if you resist, Luntian if you would." With a loud cracking boom, the glass and tables in the room gave a quick shudder from the force of the sound produced. In mere moments the girl known as Umber is sent flying across the room as her aura starts to shatter with a sharp crash of glass to highlight her injuries.

(Cue: Figure & Whiskey Pete - Cutthroat)

Soon the fight devolves into a firefight between the unknown sniper in the rafters and the members of the crown within the bar as everyone takes cover. Cael was quick enough to knock away the Sai to his neck once the guns started shooting. "Luntian, send in the pack!" Cael called out as he fled the crossfire. Within the rafters, a glimmer of light shimmered before erupting into three glowing wolves. Aura constructs that bobbed and weaved between the gunfire from both the enemy team and the patrons of the bar that sided with them.

Each wolf lunged at those behind cover to disarm and subdue those they could. Amidst the beat of the music and repeated cracks of thunder that came from the rifle in the rafters. One by one with each strike of thunder, what sounds like the shatter of glass echoed as each impact destroyed the barriers of aura protecting their users. Incapacitating many of them with a single shot. As Cael rounds one of the corners the brute of Carmine's team, Bertilak, gives an insidious look, his weapon ready to swing. As a loud earth shatter crack hits the table Cael once was pressed against. Quickly, Cael lunges and tackles the brute to the ground with an unnatural amount of strength as his arms glowed purple for a moment.

Struggling to speak as he kept the brute down to say "Bertilak, CASL welcomes you!" As if knocked into a trance his eyes glow a strange color as the brute's expression gave way to one of realization. "God damn, asshole fucking don't do that shit to me again." He punched Cael to the chest to get him off. "And I better be getting paid double for that mind control bullshit you had Sulfur pull." Cael seems to chuckle a bit as he draws out a few knives before he and Bertilak joined the fray and crossfire.

In the depths of the Crown's lair pair of huntsmen lead a team across defiled bodies and corpses strewn across the base. "Well, this is fucking morbid... no fighting... just a bunch of dead things and cult symbols on the wall." The Sulfur spoke loudly, as he was followed by Ayla, the huntress pushing fleshy bits aside with her borrowed spear. "We do have the job of taking down and capturing their leadership... Let's hope Bertilak's intel is good, hate to run into any problems for not knowing their full abilities or arsenal."

As they continue forward Ayla stops Sulfur from continuing forward. Her wolf-like ears twitch before she sniffs the air... "Y'know that whole wolf instinct of yours unsettles me sometimes." He remarks as she gives him an annoyed look. "Right right... boys and girls this is where we part ways. Capture and take who you can and for those you can't kill if you have to." The other huntsmen nod and go about in other directions. As the two approached a large set of double doors, they gave each other a brief look before kicking down the doors.

As they broke down the doors it seemed as though they interrupted something. As a flicker of shadows fled from the door to show the two siblings in an argument before turning to the pair… "Jax and Gillian, you're under arrest for conspiracy against the Vacuo Council. Submit now and you'll be taken in kindly and unconscious. Can't take any chance with either of your semblances..." Sulfur spoke with more authority to his voice to sound intimidating.

The siblings seem to compose themselves before turning their attention to Sulfur and Ayla. "Oh so the boy wishes to be a man... brother, let's show them exactly what it takes to be a king." With the glow on her hands, Jax's aura began to glow brighter than before. "Aw shit... this is gonna go down the hard way Ay-" before he could even call her name the earth beneath them rumbles as Ayla's clothes begin to glow a dark orange. The dust within her clothes is illuminated as her control of Dust splits the earth between the siblings. With Sulfur quickly following up by charging at the siblings.

(Cue: 殴りたくなる時 By My First Story)

Even as the siblings are separated, the super-charged Jax had drawn his blade infused with aura beyond human limitation as he swung his blade towards sulfur. Sulfur quickly draws out his borrowed blade in an attempt to defend himself, however, the strike cleaves through his blade impacting his shoulder.

Sent tumbling away from the strike, Ayla was quick to launch herself towards Jax to begin her assault. The huntress was quick with her footwork to keep Jax from getting an opportunity to take a full swing with his blade, each jab, and strike aimed for the weak points in his stance. Even with the surplus of aura enhancing his abilities Jax was by no means a competent fighter.

However, as the two fought on the flow of the fight started swaying back to the would-be king seemingly desperate to win. "Someone as formidable as you would make an excellent foot soldier! Now... be mine!" One of his hands lunged forth with his semblance active; she had little space or time to react.

As a glint of silver shoots out from their blind spot right into the hand of the would-be king. As Sulfur stood a good distance away before charging Jax again. Both were in shock at the speed of the blade that had impaled Jax's. Not being given the time to recover gave Ayla a moment to flee his reach as Sulfur entered in her stead. Drawing his second short sword to swipe at him, forcing him to defend once again. Jax found something odd with every slight cut or strike this man had made against him, as each strike was getting stronger with his becoming weaker. As panic was starting to set in with his defenses starting to wane. "Gillian, I need more power!" He said desperately as he turned to see his sister rushing to him just as the earth itself began to snake around her legs and pin her down. A glowing patch of muddy orange cloth was not too far from her as the earth continuously wrapped around to keep her restrained to the ground.

Before he realized it a sharp pain had entered his stomach and he heard his sister cry out in shock, panic, fear... he was stabbed? This might be his only opportunity, he drops his blade and grabs at Sulfur's face "Be my knight!" As the glow of his faint aura pushed into Sulfur... he shuddered... slowly chuckling then to be a burst of laughter as the color of Sulfur's aura mimicked Jax's aura.

"Hehehe... sorry I'm possibly the worst person to try that on... my semblance lets me cannibalize aura... thank you, your pride was very delicious." Horror was strewn across his face before Sulfur kicked the would-be king off his blade... blood started pooling around from under him.

"The Blade made of Usagi metals... it makes draining aura easier... as well as bypassing most people's aura-based defenses so long as I'm using my semblance through it. Although, Cael is gonna be pissed I broke another weapon."

As he walks over to the fallen Gillian he pulls her head up by her hair looking into her eyes. "Why don't you go to sleep princess." A purple glow from his aura moves to encompass her eyes as she loses consciousness. "I can temporarily copy your semblance too... your ability is quite useful as well as your sisters..." Jax looked on in horror as he continued to crawl away... and in a desperate plea he called out. "Fine then... I'll take your deal Valentine brothers... just get me out of here!" The name rang out as both Ayla and Sulfur barely had time to react to a series of explosions within the complex.

Not too far off the earth is felt shaking. As the fervor of rave music, gunfire, and property damage started to grow in kind. Bertilak bloodied and bruised stood atop the unconscious bodies of many Crown insurgents. "The hell… why am I only getting hit…" He was struggling to catch his breath as a few charging Crown soldiers flew away like rag dolls to the sound of thunder. Through his newly placed earpiece, he hears. "You're the tank… you got an ample semblance for exhausting opponents, but your fighting style always draws attention. You're not making the most of your abilities."

Another thunderous echo within the club as another body is sent flying. "Besides… I'm making sure to shoot off anyone that could get a lethal hit on you." The big brute huffed at the snide tone the sniper was giving off. "Yeah, I get it's funny making me work." Suddenly the voice of their leader rang through their ears through some choppy connection "Team this is Isis… explosions in the base... we need to finish this now! If you have to kill... do it. We can't... overextending..." Big Brerti gave a big howl in excitement "Ahaha now I won't have to ho-'' Suddenly a repetitive echo of booms occurred as auric wolves pulled the crown out of their hiding places to be shot each of them having the aura knocked right out of them. "Hold back…" The brute muttered in disappointment.

Up on the rooftop, blades clash with explosive highlights. Carmine is struggling to breathe as her two Sai Fly around encircling herself as glints of light keep blinking around her for knives to be flung from each blinking light all the while Cael has seemingly only thrown knives directly at her only to come from one of the blinking spaces.

"You really should have taken up that offer…" Despite the struggle of focusing on her semblance she had not stopped glaring at Cael and did little to entertain the conversation. The deafening silence continued as the next blade thrown caused an explosion right behind her to force her down onto her knees. Clutching the fallen Sai she grits her teeth in anger. A familiar look in her eyes, one's filled with scorn that she had held against the Atlas Military at one point in her life. "You...you… I'll make you pay… I won't be taken in! Not by Atlas, Vacuo, or you…" Slowly she drew out fragments of dust, gathered from the multitude of blades that had shattered from her defense. With a glow and hiss… she slams her fist to the ground causing the floor beneath them to crumble from the resulting explosion. Pushing the rubble away from his body Cael stands up and sees a bloodied arm separated from its owner… but nobody. Opening up communications he speaks up "CASL, report in…" Hearing the voices of his team he sighs in relief. They each had achieved some sense of victory… two targets were MIA and now they had Gillian and the Crown… Hopefully, things would start to calm down.
