Avengers Tower

"Are you serious? You're in Avengers Tower, like right now?" Ned squeals, excitement palpable. Morgan couldn't blame him, if she was openly honest with herself, it was pretty awesome. Not very many people can claim to have seen Tony Stark's personal penthouse on the top of the Avengers Tower. Much less have their very own bedroom.

"Yeah..." she replies, glancing around the empty bedroom. She's seated in the center of an enormous mattress in her newly acquired room. It was easily the largest bedroom she's ever seen, even bigger than the master bedroom her mother sleeps in at their apartment. Their was a desk against the wall, a large flat screen TV mounted on the wall, and an empty bookcase. To her left was the door which led to her own attached bathroom. She was nearly positive that the closet was of the walk-in variety.

"How are things going between you and your father?" Peter asked, sounding genuinely curious. Morgan appreciated how he asked the questions that mattered. As much fun as Ned was with his obsessive and overly inquisitive fanboying, it was nice to be asked how things were really going.

"Alright, I suppose. It was a bit awkward for a little while and we ended up working on something. You're gonna freak out when I tell you this, Parker."

"Really? What is it?"

"Tony Stark designed an entire suit for Spiderman. I've been helping him design it all afternoon, we wrapped up for the night not too long ago."

"Are you serious!?" Peter's voice is so loud through the speaker that Morgan has to pull the phone away from her ear.

"This is literally the coolest thing ever!" Ned exclaims. "Dude, not only are you Spiderman, but you're going to have a genuine suit made for you by Tony freaking Stark!"

Morgan clears her throat. "Hey! I'm also working on it. I've been keeping a close eye on the coding. Y'know that's not really my thing, but I know it'll be important to know. We'll need Ned's coding skills to override the programming Tony plans to add into it. He's dubbed it the 'baby monitor protocol' and it'll be troublesome. It's designed to report injuries to—" Morgan glances up at the ceiling, making sure her voice is to low to be easily head by anyone not on the other-side of the mic. "The AI that runs the place. It also is to block certain functions in the suit. Not to mention it probably will be able to detect Spiderman's identity."

"You're right," Peter said. "That'll be a problem. No one can find out about my hobby. Especially not Tony Stark, sure he's a superhero but just because he's Iron Man doesn't mean he'll keep my secret."

"Are we forgetting that Tony Stark is literally known for funding the Avengers. Why wouldn't he want to help out Spiderman? But you're right, he would want to know Spiderman's identity. He wouldn't want to hand over some crazy expensive suit to some rando."

Morgan sighs. "I still can't believe I'm here. This is crazy."

"Honestly, I'm still in shock. I nearly fainted when you told us," Ned said. "But it wouldn't be cool so I resisted."

"You know we don't do cool, Ned. Maybe I can see if Tony Stark will let me go hang out you you guys tomorrow. That way I can tell you everything that's been happening, not to mention I still haven't even started my genealogy project."

"Seriously? I finished that ages ago."

"In all fairness, I've have my whole world fall off its axis. I've not even been thinking about the project, but now I suppose I can asked him about that side of my lineage."

"Are you really going to have Tony Stark and various other Stark's on your genealogy assignment?" Peter asked. "I just mean that they may not take your assignment seriously. Unless the news comes out about Tony Stark being your father, but I doubt that's something either of you want right now."

Morgan leans her head on her hand. "You're right. I don't know how to act around him, I don't need to have the whole world flashing cameras in my face and paparazzi following me everywhere I go. Plus it'll make things a hundred times more complicated."

The sound of a woman's voice filters in the background.

"It's my mom, sorry guys. I've gotta go." Ned's line cut off.

"Yeah, I probably should be going to. May will be home in a few hours and I want to get some patrolling done before she gets back. I'll see if Ned's free tomorrow and you can text me if your father will let you come over. We can hang out at my place. Talk to you tomorrow Morgs."

"Later, Parker."

...

Morgan, Peter and Ned stood by Peter's locker, waiting for him to finish gathering his things. Everything seemed almost out of focus, but it wasn't quite a blur, almost like a misting or fog filling the corridors. Morgan saw Ned's moth moving but no sound was coming out. The same thing happened when Peter opened his mouth. She looks around the nearly deserted hallway.

A couple of girls lean against the lockers, laughing at something but there's still no sound.

Then the trio are walking forwards, towards the front door. Was school already over? It certainly felt like it had just started, how was it over? She shook her head. Peter pushes the doors open and the moment they step through, the world explodes into sound.

Loud clicking of camera and questions shouted over one another assault her eardrums.

"Morgan! Morgan are the rumors true? Is Tony Stark really your father?" the blond news reporter asked, shoving a microphone out to her. More flashes, shuddering cameras blinding her. She stumbles forward, desperate, reaching out for Ned or Peter.

"How does it feel to ruin the life of your father? I mean he finally started to get his life together and now you come along to ruin it?"

"The famous Stark bastard..."

"So embarrassing... such a mistake."

"P-Peter... N-Ned... Where are you? Can you hear me?

Morgan catches a flash of dark hair and rushing forward, maybe Ned? Too dark to be Peter. She pushes through the crowd, stumbling but not tripping. She reaches out and catches the figures shoulder. He turns and she scrambles back.

Her father.

"You really are just a silly little girl aren't you? What do you expect me to do with a little girl like you? At least a son would've liked the things I did. A boy would carry on the family name. Instead I get stuck with a girl. I never wanted a kid and now I'm stuck with you."

Fury ignited in her stomach, she open her mouth to retort but the would ground beneath her feet melted and she found herself falling into a black void of nothingness. So dark and empty she though she may never be found. Forever forgotten and lost within the dark.

Morgan jerked herself awake, sitting up in the bed. Her dark hair sticking to her skin which was sticky with sweat. He heart hammering in her chest.

A/N: This chapter wasn't actually supposed to be this, but I was trying to update a few mistakes I made and ended up publishing this chapter so I had to write something. I also had a comment a while back about how old Morgan was and never answered that. So I was reading this as a reader rather than the author and found the error that confused the reader.

Morgan is actually supposed to be fifteen. In my original planning stage she was 15 going on 16, but I decided to have her be 14 and turning 15 so Morgan is fifteen and I'm still correcting that in the story so if anyone was confused that's what's happened. I also am going to be writing more for Penny Parker... A Hero? But I won't start regularly posting until I get at least twenty or so chapters ready so it'll be a little bit on that. Next chapter for this will be pretty epic, I am going to make sure and it'll be nice and long to make up for this, basically filler, chapter. This story may be more that 15 chapters so if I hit fifteen and we've not reached a conclusion don't worry.
