A group of Stormtroopers walked past a group of boxes, where our heroes were hiding behind. Both Sisu and Destiny were in their human forms, as having a dragon and whale walking around would attract to much attention.
"This is so cool!" Logan whisper shouted. "Sneaking into a base to get an item to save the world. It's like Rogue One!"
"Except with hopefully less death," Gabriel said. "Sisu, let's make a clear path. Logan, Destiny? You two take out the guards."
The three of them nodded, with Gabriel and Sisu using their Dragon Gems to create a thick fog that creeped into the base. As the Stormtroopers looked around in confusion, Logan and Destiny used their superior strength to subdue the guards, letting the heroes have free reign of the place for now. Heading down a hallway, the team carefully made it to a command console to pull up a map of the base.
"Okay, it looks like the key is being held in the Carbonite chamber," Gabriel said. "The patrols are fairly easy to get around too. I guess Hex is letting the Empire take care of this one. Let's see if there's anything in this room that we can use."
Searching around the room, Sisu opening up a box and pulled out a silver cylinder. Pressing a button on the side, the disguised dragon held it back as a blue blade of light came out. "Oh, shiny," she said, attempting to poke the blade.
Gabriel quickly took the object away from her and turned it off. "Careful with the lightsaber, Sisu," the raven warned. "It could cut you in half if you're not careful."
"I can hold onto it!" Logan offered.
Gabriel handed the lightsaber back to Sisu. "Yeah, sorry Logan, but you'd just swing it around making noises with your mouth."
"No I wouldn't," he said.
"Oh is that what you were doing with that broom that one time?" Destiny asked. "What did you say, something about having "God and Anime on your side" or something like that?"
Gabriel held back a laugh as Logan blushed. The raven reached into the box and tossed a bag to him. "Here Logan, you can be our demo guy. It's thermal detonators. Yes, I realize the irony of trusting you with explosives but not a lightsaber."
"I will take care of this weapon with utmost care," Sisu said. "My girl Raya taught me a few sword moves on the side."
"I'll take this!" Destiny said, pulling out a bowcaster like Chewbacca's.
"I'll keep the map," Gabriel said. Pressing a button on the computer, he accidentally opened up the ventilation shaft above their heads, making a scream sound come from up there as a purple figure fell on the raven's head.
"Hey Gabriel, you got a cat on your head," Logan pointed out.
The cat in question jumped down onto the computer, licking its paw. "This cat has a name, human," the cat said.
"Mr. Kat?" Gabriel said in surprise.
"The one and only," Mr. Kat said. "Long time no see, Dream Keeper. I see that for once our goals have aligned, as I too am looking to 'borrow' from this Empire."
"Aren't you supposed to be in reformation class or something?" the raven asked.
"It's my day off," Mr. Kat shrugged.
"Having one more person won't hurt," Sisu pointed out.
The heroes silently agreed to let Mr. Kat tag along and proceed to the Carbonite Chamber. Logan made sure to set Destiny's bowcaster to stun to make sure they didn't seriously hurt anyone, and Mr. Kat proved his worth by hacking into the door panels with his intellect and metal claws. Soon enough the group arrived at their destination, where the key was floating in the middle of the room. Destiny immediately ran to grab the key, only for the floor to drop out underneath her.
"Destiny!" Logan cried in shock. There was a hissing noise and out of the pit rose a block of Carbonite with Destiny inside! Her human companion gasped and tried to turn off the machine. "Come on, how to these things work?"
"I think we have bigger things to worry about," Sisu said, pointing to the approaching Stormtroopers led by none other than Kylo Ren.
"Oh, come on!" Gabriel groaned. "Are we seriously going to have to come into conflict again, Kylo? Don't you have something better to do?"
"However many times it takes to defeat you, Dream Keeper, I will find you," Kylo Ren said, igniting his lightsaber.
Logan growled, his amulet shining as its power coursed through him. He gained a golden glow around his body as he lunged at the Stormtroopers, catching them by surprise.
"I guess we're fighting now," Mr. Kat sighed. He pulled out a blaster from hammerspace and jumped into the fight as well.
"Remember, no killing please!" Gabriel shouted, before dodging a saber swing from Kylo Ren. Sisu jumped in the way, pulling out her own lightsaber and blocking the next attack.
"You're a Jedi?" Kylo ren said in surprise.
"No, I'm a dragon!" Sisu exclaimed, transforming into her true form as their battle raged on.
Gabriel quickly put up a shield to protect himself, subtly humming a tune as he let his magic produce music to help him focus. The song in particular, "Aerodynamic (Remix)," reached out to his friends and helped them focus on the fight as well.
"Daft Punk, nice!" Logan called, tossing two Stormtroopers into a wall.
"I agree with the human!" Mr. Kat said. "They are excellent artists from what I've heard of your Earth music."
Meanwhile, Kylo Ren used his Force powers to hold Sisu in place, but Gabriel jumped in the way and used his Dragon Gem to make a blinding flash, catching the Dark Side user off guard and freeing Sisu from his hold.
"Let's finish this together, Gabriel!" Sisu said.
"Logan, get ready for a big catch!" Gabriel called. "And Mr. Kat, at the controls!"
The two did as they were told, with Gabriel and Sisu holding up their Dragon Gems together. Water gathered around them, before blasting forward and hitting Kylo Ren in the chest. "Force Water!" they shouted together, knocking the villain right into Logan's waiting grip.
"Take this: Wookie Slammer!" Logan called, chucking Kylo Ren into the Carbonite chamber.
With the push of a button Mr. Kat activated the device, freezing Kylo Ren and ending the conflict. Logan went over to Destiny and pulled out one of the thermal detonators, setting to its lowest setting and melting the Carbonite off of her.
"Ugh… Oh hey Logan," Destiny said, holding her head. "At least, I think it's you. My eyesight is worse than normal right now."
"I'm glad you're safe," Logan hugged her. "Sorry you missed the fight. It was pretty awesome."
"As touching as this reunion is, isn't there something you're all forgetting?" Mr. Kat said. He smirked and held up the key. "I'll let you all have this… if you can catch me first!"
Mr. Kat laughed as he ran off, leaving everyone in shock before Gabriel sighed and smiled. "Never change, Mr. Kat," he said with a laugh, pulling out another key. "Good thing I grabbed the real key during the fight."
"Woah, talk about a swticheroo!" Sisu exclaimed with a laugh. "So what did you replace it with instead?"
"It's a construct from my magic," Gabriel said. "He'll probably figure it out once he gets a better look at it, but Mr. Kat is relatively harmless in the grand scheme of things."
"Then let's get back to the others," Logan said. "And probably stop by the store to get some eyedrops for Destiny as well."
Author's Note
A quicker one this time, but I just wanted to write a quick Star Wars base infiltration this time. Sisu got to show off some sword training from Raya, and Logan once again doesn't get a cool sword. It might seem like Logan always gets the short end of the stick, but he'll be getting his moment soon. His personality as the most boastful one of the team just makes him the most prime for comedic moments.
And in a surprise cameo, Mr. Kat appears once more! It's fitting as he last showed up in a Star Wars chapter as well. Gabriel got more use out of his Dragon Gem this time, and the whole "Force Water" thing isn't them really using the Force, it's just the name of the move. Gabriel just can't catch a break with Kylo Ren, can he?
A small shout-out to Daft Punk as well. They will be missed, but their music will always have a big impact on my musical tastes (plus the Tron Legacy soundtrack is amazing, so Disney tie-in).
The next chapter will be using the keys at the heart of Hollywood Studios, so be prepared for that!
