Back in Oswald's base, the group fanned out to relax for a bit once more. Oswald came up to Gabriel and Silver, the two of them having a conversation about animal symbolism.

"… So in conclusion, that's why a bear represents Love and Heart," Gabriel finished.

Silver nodded. "Huh, there's a lot about animals that I didn't know. How do you know so much, Gabriel?"
"Before I was a Disney nerd, I was an animal nerd," the raven explained. "You give me an animal dictionary and I'd comb through all of the pages."

"I hate to interrupt your conversation, but that last mission of yours took a while," Oswald said.

"Hex kind of trapped us in a world without a means to use our magic," Gabriel explained.

"Well because of that, Hex got three days to beef up his defenses in both Epcot and Magic Kingdom," Oswald explained. "I'm already making calls to bring as many characters as we can to deal with all of the Cast Bots in Magic Kingdom, but you'll be on your own in Epcot. Our focus is getting the Fab Five back from Hex."

"That's Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, and Daisy," Gabriel quickly said.

Oswald nodded. "He's got everyone but Donald in Magic Kingdom. Instead, he's over in Epcot, but the place he's locked up in will need something more than the key to open. Jose and Panchito are already there holding the line, alongside Scrooge and the other ducks."

"I hope they're not still mad at me for what my sister's done to them, and what my 'classic' self has done," Poe said.

Rachel put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, Lena accepted you, and that means Webby accepted you. Getting her to like you will make the others trust you more."

"We'll have to thank them for helping out later," Silver said. "But we've got to help save Donald Duck!"

"Then here are your key locations," Oswald said. "They'll be held in The Sea pavilion, Paris Pavilion, and Imagination Pavilion."

"Dibs on Sea Pavilion!" Destiny shouted. "That's my home so I know all of the places a key could hide!"

"Oh, relaxing by the seaside sounds nice," Marian said. "Could we go with them, Soren?"

"As long as I don't have to get drenched," Soren stated. "But yeah, we'll go with Logan. It'll make up for the carsickness you got last time."

"You want to go to the city of love, lover boy?" Rachel joked at Silver, making him blush.

"Rachel, I already have a boyfriend," Silver whined.

"We know," Poe laughed. "But it is a bit easy to tease you like that. Either way, I would love to take you to Paris, my lady."

Now it was Rachel's turn to blush, but she quickly looked away as Silver started to laugh. "Who's the lover now?" he teased, only to get lightly ribbed.

"Don't say anything about this," Rachel said. 'How can Poe be such a gentleman and oblivious to how he's playing my feelings? Unless he isn't… But I can't show that he gets to me.'

"That leaves us to the Imagination Pavilion," Adam said to Gabriel. "Maybe Figment could give me some more clues about Dreamfinder while we're there?"

"Sounds great," Gabriel nodded. "You guys all get ready for the mission. I'm going to check on Jasiri."

"We did finish up the rest of the series," Oswald said as the raven walked off. "She seems to be in a much better mood."

Gabriel smiled, walking over to where Melanie was standing outside a room. "She's inside here," the ghost said. "I think Jasiri might remember everything now."

The raven looked inside the room, witnessing Jasiri humming to herself while dancing around the room. "Kwetu ni kwetu, home is where we'll stay. Kwetu ni kwetu, we won't run away…."

Gabriel walked into the room, picking Jasiri up and finishing the verse while they danced. "When we stand together, there's no need to roam. Kwetu ni kwetu, home is home!" The two laughed while Gabriel nuzzled the hyena's face. "So, Oswald told me that you remember everything?"

"You bet!" Jasiri nodded. "Once we got to the end of the show, so many things clicked together!" She jumped back down to the floor and smiled. "In fact, I remembered that I have a special someone…"

"You do?" Gabriel said, his heart beating faster.

Jasiri gave another nod. "Yep, and I think it's time for me to get back to him!"

Gabriel felt like a sledgehammer just broke his heart into a million pieces. "Him? Don't you think it might be someone a bit… closer? As in, in the same room as you?"

Jasiri shook her head. "Nope! They're someone I left back at home to go on adventures with you." Gabriel slumped to the floor in shock. "And I want to help you guys battle the jerk Hex, so I'll go get my clan ready to help out." She went over to the raven and smiled softly. "But, if it means anything to you, I don't think I would have gotten to where I am now without meeting you. You're a great friend, Gabriel the Dream Keeper."

"Yeah… friends…" Gabriel repeated. 'She doesn't remember everything. She still doesn't remember the bond we forged.'

Jasiri looked into Gabriel's eyes, confusion coming over her. 'What is this empty feeling in my chest when I look at him' She shook her head and left the room. "I'll see you guys at the final battle."

As the hyena left, the others came into the room, surprised when their friend and team leader was despondent. "You okay, Gabriel?" Silver asked.

"…. No," the raven cried. The others quickly pulled him into a hug. "She doesn't remember what we are, and said that there's someone else she has eyes for."

"Ugh, I have an idea of who that is," Logan sighed. "Didn't you already bury the hatchet with that guy too?"

"I always knew there was chemistry between Kion and Jasiri," Soren mused. "Wait, but Kion is married now!"
"The other love interest for Jasiri," Logan pointed out.

Sisu picked up Gabriel and held him close. "Hey dude, it sucks that your girlfriend doesn't remember your love. But hey, that's Hex's fault for messing with her head! I bet he put some extra stuff in there so that she wouldn't remember you that easily."

"I know, but what if she never gets those memories back?" Gabriel said.

"Then we'll never stop trying to help her remember," Sisu stated.

"And we'll all help you out," Silver added.

"As a team!" Soren shouted.

"But we should focus on stopping Hex first," Adam stated.

Gabriel looked to his friends and their supportive smiles. He wiped his tears away and stood up on his feet. "Okay, let's do this. We'll show Hex who's boss, and help Jasiri remember who she is!"
"Jasiri already left back to Animal Kingdom," Oswald stated.

"We can focus on Hex first, then!" Gabriel shouted with confidence. "To Epcot we go!"

Author's Note

So yeah, Jasiri remembers everything now, but her love for Gabriel is still unknown to her. And worse still, she believes she's in love with someone else now! Our raven is going to have a hard time until that gets cleared up, but he has his friends to back him up. Jasiri will be getting a dedicated chapter to herself during the Epcot saga, so stay tuned for that.

The song this time is "Kwetu ni Kwetu" which is Jasiri's other song from The Lion Guard. Not as good as "Sisu ni Sawa" but man does Jasiri's voice actor know how to sing!

Next time will start the Epcot chapters, so be ready for another week of three chapters.
