I never created Batman TAS.
The Sewer King scowled as he glanced from two pet alligators to one empty area. ''My children never returned from the streets.
I sent them to obtain lots and lots of pretties. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes,'' he muttered.
One alligator hissed after it tensed.
Sewer King smirked. ''Let's search for them,'' he said to the alligators. He walked as the animals joined either side of him.
One frown replaced his smirk at a snail's pace.
Sewer King recalled living in poverty fairly recently. Always wandering the streets and picking pockets to survive.
The one foolish moment consisting of him picking the wrong pocket. One man turning to him and glowering. Attacking the crook.
His eyes widened as he eventually ran into the sewers. Even when he located two alligators in one dark area.
The alligators snarled and snapped near the assailant. They viewed him fleeing. They wagged their tails when Sewer King laughed and scratched their snouts.
Many children weren't difficult to locate. Sticking together and wandering under the streets. Eventually being forced to steal valuables for their king.
Sewer King smiled after the flashback. The alligators were focused on again. ''You always protected me. Yes. Yes. Yes,'' he said.
Footsteps were heard before Sewer King's scowl came back. Were they from his children or different trespassers eager to harm him?
Eyes widened the minute two young men appeared.
One of the men started to smirk. He struck his palm. ''It seems as though we found something to do.''
Sewer King refused to imagine attacks. He already remembered every strike and kick.
The men approached Sewer King before alligators snarled. Their eyes flew open. One alligator snapped at them before they ran.
Sewer King's smile returned. ''You always protected me. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.''
Alligators wagged their tails when their snouts were scratched. Children weren't remembered. Even when they came back with lots and lots of pretties.
THE END
