AN: Oh. My. GOODNESS! Sora is in Smash Bros! I'm just… I'm so happy guys… Literally the only other character that would be have made me happier is Spyro the Dragon. But, wow… Disney is in Smash, amazing.

(coughs) Anyway, here's today's chapter, so have fun!

"You know, I thought coming to Paris would be a lot more fun," Silver stated, peeking around the corner with Maximus. "But wow are there a lot of Cast Bots out here."

"And we have to get across the street in order to find the key," Poe added, holding up a tracking spell.

"We need something to get us across unseen," Rachel hummed.

"Unseen, you say?" asked a mysterious voice. A pair of eyes floated above the group, followed by a grinning mouth before a pink and purple cat rested itself on Maximus' head. "Well, for a cat like me that's no problem."

"The Cheshire Cat," Silver recognized. "I dunno if trusting someone from Wonderland is the best idea…"

"I mean, Cheshire Cat is a bit odd, but he's more trustworthy than, say, the Queen of Hearts," Rachel said. "Okay cat, what do we got to do?"

Cheshire Cat swiped his tail, dropping a vial into the girl's hands. "I believe this will help you get a 'smaller' perspective on your problem."

The bottle had a tag on it that said 'Drink Me.' Knowing where this was going, the group each took a sip before they were magically shrunk down. At such a small size the three of them could ride Maximus across the street, avoiding the robots that couldn't detect them and slip into the building they were looking for. Popping out under the door, the group found themselves in the back kitchen area of a restaurant, specifically that of Gusteau's.

"Great, we're here," Silver said. "Now all we have to do is grow back to normal size and get the key." He then paused and realized that he said. "Cheshire Cat didn't give us the 'Eat Me' Cookies, did he?"

Poe shook his head. "And don't even try to ask me to reverse the spell, either. Wonderland magic is never a good mix with dark magic."

"Well great, I guess we'll just have to find the key at this size," Rachel stated.

"Hey down there!" called a voice. The group looked up to see Remy, the head chef of the restaurant, waving to them. "You know we don't usually allow civilians back in the kitchen."

"Sorry Remy, but we're on a mission," Silver replied. "You wouldn't happen to have a Mickey-shaped key here, would you?"

"I haven't seen one," the rat shook his head. "But take a look around! Those robots outside won't mess with you in here."

With Remy's blessing the group got to work looking around the kitchen for the key. They climbed up on shelves, ventured through the freezer, and checked under every stove and grill in the place to try and find that key. They didn't have much luck, however, and it was almost time for the lunch rush.

"I could use some food," Silver said, holding his growling stomach.

"Here you guys go," Emile, Remy's brother, replied. The rotund rat came over with a platter of food. "My brother wanted to give you guys a break. Being heroes really pays off, huh?"

"You can say that again," Rachel stated, eagerly having a bite from an oversized grape (from their perspective, anyway).

As they ate their food, Poe looked to Rachel and smiled. "You're lovely as ever, Lady Rachel," the duck sorcerer said with a charming grin. He wiped his mouth and took her by the hand. "And as a gentleman myself, I believe you deserve a dance."

"Oh, really, that isn't necessary," Rachel said, blushing as Silver pushed the two of them together.

"Just go for it!" the boy whispered.

Rachel accepted Poe's hand, and as they started to dance, Silver used his magic remote to turn on a nearby radio. A French song came on the radio, but Poe magically knew the words, the duck singing them to Rachel as they danced.

Dreams are to lovers as wine is to friends

Carried through lifetimes, (and) spilled now and then

Poe picked up two cups of grape juice and gave one to Rachel, the two clinking the glasses together in toast.

I am driven by hunger, so saddened to be

Thieving in darkness; I know you're not pleased

But nothing worth eating is free

Poe looked away shamefully as he thought of his dark past, but still held Rachel's hand as they danced. Silver watched on with a smile as the two went about the song.

My hope is a banquet impatiently downed

Impossibly full, now I'll probably drown

The two dancers stepped around the large pieces of food as they went.

Many thieves' lives are lonely with one mouth to feed

If giving means taking, I'll never succeed

For nothing worth stealing is...

Poe gave Rachel a spin, picking up a piece of cheese from the plate and feeding it to her.

Free at last; won't be undersold

Surviving isn't living; won't eat what I'm told

Maximus went over to the candle at their table and adjusted the lighting, letting the flame flicker and dance around the room.

Let me free, I'll astonish you; I'm planning to fly

I won't let this party just pass me by

Poe turned into his raven form, flying around Rachel before landing in her arms, the girl giggling as she summoned her Keyblade and pointed it at the candle. Magic sparks shot off around the table, making streamers that heightened the mood even more as the instrumentals came in.

The banquet is now underway, so...

Silver and Maximus shared a look as their friends danced around, clearly falling for each other.

Bring out the bottles; a new tale has spun

In clearing this table, my new life's begun

The two sang together, with Rachel in English and Poe in French.

I am nervous, excited; (oh) just read the marquee!

A lifetime of hiding; I'm suddenly free!

My dinner is waiting for me

Poe put his hands around Rachel's waist, while she did the same around his neck.

A lifetime of hiding; I'm suddenly free!

My dinner is waiting for me

The two dancers stared into each other's eyes as the song came to an end. Poe smiled, them closed his eyes and went in for a kiss. His beak only met air, however, as Rachel suddenly let go of him and went over to the edge of the table. "There's the key!" she said, pointing to Remy's "Everyone Can Cook" cookbook. "It was right in front of us the whole time."

Poe was in shock, but straightened out his jacket and gave a cough. "Yes, good observation, Lady Rachel," he said.

Silver let out a sigh. "They were this close to kissing," he said to Maximus.

With a bit of levitation magic the Mickey-shaped key was theirs, meaning the mission was complete. "Now then, Rachel, I don't believe our dance was complete," Poe stated.

"It was," Rachel nodded.

"Didn't you forget to give your partner a special something?" Poe asked.

Rachel shook her head. "Nope. I did all we had to do. I took your offer to dance, and we had it."

"I thought there was something a bit more going on there," Silver said. "The sparks of Paris, you could say."

Rachel realized what Poe and Silver were trying to say. She looked at Poe, her face turning red but displaying sadness. "Poe de Spell, it's been simply enchanting being your partner in magic, as I've learned so much from you as a mage. You being cute isn't a bad deal either. However, I just… I made a choice when I came to the Magical World that I want to be the strongest sword mage I can be. I tried to have a relationship, but it didn't work out so well."

"Let me guess, you chose your skills over love," Poe finished her thought.

"Rachel…" Silver sighed.

"No, the lady has a choice, and I will repect that," Poe said. He quickly took her hand and gave a nod. "But just know that, whenever your heart is ready, I will he here to stand by your side as more than a partner. And if you're never ready, we can always have Paris."

'Such a gentleman,' Rachel thought, blushing once more and giving him a kiss on the hand. "Thank you for understanding," she said. "Now then, how are we going to get back to normal size."

A plate of cookies dropped onto the table, and the Cheshire Cat waved to the group with his trademark grin. "Alice reminded me to give these to you," the cat said. "Good luck on your quest, Dream Keepers!"

Author's Note

A short but sweet chapter. Paris brings out the romantic in everyone, and you know for a fact that Silver is the biggest shipper out of the entire group. But Rachel is a tough girl, and though she would love to be with Poe, she feels she has to make herself stronger first before she can open up her heart again.

The Cheshire Cat was a fun cameo to have, although as a kid I always noticed that he sounded exactly like Winnie the Pooh. It was probably the first time I said "Wait, you can be a voice actor on multiple roles!?"

The song this time is "Le Festin" the main theme of Ratatouille. The lyrics are really powerful to me, as they talk about a person that steals for a living but is dissatisfied with that live. They then find their true passion in life, and though they still have doubts, they can be themselves and live a life free and fully. Truly it fits Ratatouille very well, and it's why that movie is one of my favorites.
