Thank you to all of the fans and friends that have supported me the past year. The Magical World series is what got me through 2020, and this chapter is my big send-off, to the main story at least!
With that out of the way… Enjoy the grand finale of "Saving the Magical World." This is my version of my favorite Disney parade ever, the Paint the Night Parade!
Nighttime fell over Downtown Disney, with people lining the streets in excitement. The lights were dimmed, and the sounds of buzzing conversation filled the air like static. Suddenly, a chiming music echoed down the street, turning everyone's attention to where the parade would begin. In a flash of light, Brooklyn, Kairi, Lena, Sisu, and Jasiri all appeared, each of them wearing star-patterned versions of their regular outfits, similar to the sorcerer robes that Gabriel wore.
The five of them sang out, raising a hand to the crowd as they did so.
Dream Keepers:
La-la-la, la-la-la-la…
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls
The Dream Keepers proudly present
Our spectacular nighttime pageant, of magic and imagination
In millions of dazzling lights!
Magic stars of every colors appeared above the crowd as they sang.
And astounding musical sounds (Sounds, sounds)
Fantasia swirled between the stars like comet trails.
It's the Paint the Night: Remix! (Remix, remix, remix…)
The beginning notes of "When Can I See You Again?" started to play, with a magic door appearing as Gabriel stepped out of it, smiling as he took a place next to Jasiri.
Gabriel:
Switch on the sky and the stars glow for you
Go see the world 'cause it's all so brand new
Don't close your eyes 'cause your future's ready to shine
Sisu and Lena floated over the crowd, pushing the magic stars together to create miniature fireworks while Brooklyn and Kairi swirled the fantasia ribbons around their weapons.
It's just a matter of time, before we learn how to fly
Welcome to the rhythm of the night
There's something in the air you can't deny (Deny…)
Gabriel smirked, then threw his hands up and lead his team in a fun dance that the crowd could easily follow.
Put your hands up 'cause the night is young!

The music swelled, with Gabriel tossing up a microphone as he conjured up a float to start the parade. The music became grander as the float formed into an intergalactic starship, the song briefly playing snippets of the Star Wars theme.
"Everyone, give a welcome to the galactic sensation, Star Waver!" Gabriel announced. Jay, the lead singer of the band, caught the microphone and turned it on, standing on the float with Geezer, Kurti, Lan, and V-5. This was the Galactic Dreamer Float.
Jay:
Can you hear us everybody out there?
Countless beings all across the cosmos
Whether one or a hundred million parsecs
You don't know us, but you are about to
As the band played, holographic versions of ships and planets from the Star Wars galaxy appeared above the crowd.
We'll break on through the speed of light
And sing to reach you
And live our dreams right out
The holo-ships all jumped to hyperspace, with various Star Wars aliens coming out onto the float as backup dancers.
Come on and shout it out!
Don't care what side you're on
Jedi and Sith appeared and walked along the side of the float, waving their lightsabers like glowsticks.
No clue, where do we go from here?
There'll be no more words
Only laughter!
The audience started clapping to the beat as the chorus kicked in.
Come on and lose yourself now everybody!
Da-da-da dancing
Hey, we move your body!
We just be strumming, telling ya we love it
Da-da-da don't stop
Hey, we all about it
Star Waver gave it their all as they played to their hearts' content.
Just lose yourself and sing now everybody

Jay jumped high into the air, waving the crowd as the band played out the last notes and the parade turned the corner.

The music went into the outro as Gabriel reappeared. He was about to speak, but Toren suddenly swooped down and grabbed the microphone, with Fantasia responding by changing the song into a more playful and swinging tune.
Toren:
Put your hands up 'cause the night is young!
Kick your heels up when you join the fun!
And as the magic sets us all aglow, oh
I gotta know, my friends

Gabriel rolled his eyes but smiled and started to create another float. Toren landed on the float, watching as it sprouted into a magical bouncing castle with many moving parts. His friends Aline, Elena, Skylar, and Main Marian appeared, along with other young and trickster type characters. This was the Toren's Jumping Castle Float.
"Come on guys, let's give them a show!" Toren cheered.
Toren:
So far it's been a rockin' summer
And now, we've saved the world again
Still it would be a bummer
If you weren't here with us and all our friends
Toren blushed as he got a hug from Marian.
Time to celebrate our victory!
And I'll admit my favorite memory
Is when you blew up all those robots!
A screen popped up, showing the various ways that the Dream Keepers took out the Cast Bots during the Hex invasion.
"That was awesome," Gabriel said off to the side.
Skylar smiled as stood next to Toren.
Skylar:
('Cause we're strong!)
And even though we sometimes disagree...
Elena raised her staff high.
Elena:
(And we belong!)
Belong together, we're a family!
The two of them held Toren up over their heads.
All:
And friends are also family
We're not just talkin' blood relation!
Aline fluffed her fur as she sang.
Aline:
(We stand tall!)
And we ain't gonna take no flack!
Marian fired off and arrow, hitting a nearby target.
Marian:
(We won't fall!)
'Cause we have always got each other's backs!
Everyone got into a fighting pose as they sang out together.
All:
And if you're gonna try and knock us down
I think you'd be beware!
Everyone jumped around the bounce house float, setting off various pranks that sprayed colorful bubbles and water into the crowd.
'Cause as long as we're together
We can stand and face whatever
Kind of trouble this world tries to put us in
Toren landed at the front of the float with Skylar, the two nodding and taking to the skies together.
If you're out there on your own
You just might take it on the chin
But if it's us against the universe
Together, we have been through worse
If it's against the universe
We win!
"Yeah, that's right!" Toren laughed. He dropped the microphone down into the waiting hands of Adam. The cyborg nodded as the music changed to an adventurous electronic tune, almost like a Daft Punk remix of the Indiana Jones theme.
Adam:
Put your hands up 'cause the night is young!
Kick your heels up when you join the fun!
And as the magic sets us all aglow, oh
I gotta know, my friends
When can we do this again?

With a nod to Gabriel, the raven created Adam's own float. Stepping onto the platform, it transformed into a Jules Verne inspired airship, with many adventuring tools and maps being projected around the float. Members of SEA and other traveling characters appeared, with Melanie giving her husband as kiss as he stood at the helm of the ship. This was Adam's Spirit of the Future Float.
"Good luck," Melanie said with a giggle.
Adam:
The future's arrived
Nobody can doubt
The future is what everything's about
It's better for you and it's better for me
It's better than what everybody thought it would be
The scientists on the float showed off some of their inventions to the crowd.
The future has arrived
The future has arrived today
A plume of smoke went up into the air, which quickly turned into a cloud that rained down colorful water.
The future's alive, alive as can be
Just open your eyes, it's as plain to see
Just don't be afraid, just keep going on
One step at a time and you can't go wrong
The SEA members all showed off the various discoveries from their adventures to the crowd.
It's time to create
Time to grow
If you feel alright
Lewis and Wilbur powered up the Time Machine, flying above the float.
The world, yeah, she's changing
Don't it make you feel alive?
(The future has arrived)
Frank Wolff and Lily Houghton waved to the crowd as their own boat magically followed behind Adam's.
The future has arrived
The future has arrived today!
Adam took Melanie's hand as they ran to the front of the boat.
The future's alive
The future is alive today!
As the outro played, Adam pressed a button on his arm, covering his body in an armor similar to the Rocketeer's. Picking up Melanie bridal style, the two flew into the air as their float disappeared. Gabriel called his microphone back, then handed it over to Logan as he walked down the street. The music became very oceanic, like something out of Moana.
Logan:
Put your hands up 'cause the night is young!
Kick your heels up when you join the fun!
And as the magic sets us all aglow, oh
I gotta know, my friends
When can we do this again?

Striking a pose, Logan had to be lifted up out of the way by magic as Gabriel created his float. It looked like a wrestling ring, with many of the athletic characters coming in to walk beside the float and jump in to show off their skills. This was the Logan's Wrestling Bonanza Float.
"Now it's my time to shine!" Logan smirked.
Logan:
In learning you will teach
And in teaching you will learn
You'll find your place beside the ones you love!
Destiny leaned over and gave Logan a kiss on the cheek, making him blush.
Oh, and all the things you dreamed of
The visions that you saw
Well, the time is drawing near now
It's yours to claim it all
Logan held Fenrir high, the young man standing on the ropes of the ring as other fighters did poses behind him.
Son of Man, look to the sky!
Lift your spirit, set it free!
Someday you'll walk tall with pride
Son of Man, a man in time you'll be!
Jumping into the ring himself, Logan let the instrumental play out as he did a Keyblade combo. After doing so, he broke out his Limit Break, the Owl Buster, which consisted in him briefly growing wings, jumping up and doing many slashes with his weapon, before dropping back to the stage with a ground slam. The crowd cheered wildly after that.
Ooh

Destiny held Logan's arm up in victory as he sang the last line.
Son of Man
Son of Man's a man for all to see!
The two took a bow as their float made it's exit. "Okay people, that was only the first half of the parade," Gabriel announced. The music changed to a grander, full orchestral version of "When Can I See You Again?" as Gabriel continued the song.
Gabriel:
Joined at the hip, yeah your sidekick needs you
Life is a trip and the road map leads you
Look all around at all the mountains you haven't climbed
Images of different parts of the Magical World appeared around him as he sang.
It's just a matter of time, before we learn how to fly
Welcome to the rhythm of the night

The chorus came back as Gabriel smiled.

Soon the music changed, playing a sting of the Avengers theme as the next float was created. Looking like a New York City block, the six main Avengers appeared, along with Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. The Nine superheroes posed as their float, the Earth's Mightiest Heroes Float, was completed.
"Welcome the Avengers and their allies!" Gabriel cheered. He handed the microphone over to Spider-Man, who had a surprisingly good singing voice for the song.
Spider-Man:
Our World's about to break
Tormented and attacked
Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Black Panther readied their weapons and stood up on podiums above the others.
Lost from when we wake
With no way to go back
Thor, Hulk, and Captain Marvel stood in the middle, powering up and looking stronger than ever.
I'm standing on my own
But now I'm not alone
Spider-Man posed in between Captain America and Iron Man, the three the biggest names on the team.
(Avengers Assemble!)
With that battle cry, other Avengers suddenly appeared: Falcon, Winter Soldier, Ant Man, The Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Dr. Strange. Even the Guardians of the Galaxy appeared above in their ship.
Always we will fight as one
Till the battle's won
Various scenes from the Marvel universe were projected for the audience to see by JARVIS.
With evil on the run
We never come undone
The heroes all looked ready for battle as images of their greatest enemies appeared.
Assemble, we are strong
Forever fight as one
The Avengers all showed off their powers as they performed for the crowd.
Assembled we are strong

The crowd cheered as the float moved off, with Gabriel taking back his microphone. Silver danced his way over to Gabriel, bringing with him a classical musical arrangement as he took the microphone for himself.
Silver:
Put your hands up 'cause the night is young!
Kick your heels up when you join the fun!
And as the magic sets us all aglow, oh
I gotta know, my friends
When can we do this again?

With that, Gabriel created Silver's float next. It was garden based, with an outdoor gazebo for Silver and Staghart to dance together in. Other smaller pagodas appeared beside them, with famous Princesses and Princes dancing inside of those. This was the Silver's Princess Promenade Float.
"Sing with all your heart, my love," Staghart said to Silver.
Silver:
Start a new fashion
Wear your heart on your sleeve
Staghart gave a twirl to his partner, with Silver's regular clothes turning into a fancy dress.
Sometimes you reach what's realest by making believe
Lights dazzled over the dancers, twinkling in the memories of their journeys to their happy endings.
Unafraid, unashamed
There is joy to be claimed in this world
Silver blushed as he and Staghart shared a kiss, the gargoyle gaining his own magical fancy suit.
You even might wind up being glad to be you
The princes all bowed to the princesses, taking their hands into the chorus dance.
Ever ever after!
Though the world will tell you it's not smart
A rainbow of magic appeared overhead as Silver sang with his all.
Ever ever after!
The world can be yours if you let your heart
Believe in ever after!
Silver waved the crowd as they cheered on.

With the last line, Staghart and Silver kissed as their float moved down the street. Tossing the microphone like a bridal bouquet, it was Rachel that caught it next, the music changing into a rocking power ballad.
Rachel:
Put your hands up 'cause the night is young!
Kick your heels up when you join the fun!
And as the magic sets us all aglow, oh
I gotta know, my friends
When can we do this again?
Oh oh oh oh
I never want this to end!

The music became a bit more somber as Gabriel made her float. Poe landed beside Rachel as their float was created, a tower that shone with magic as various magic users appeared around them. The tower them opened up, revealing many magical artifacts inside. This was Rachel's Sorcerer Sanctuary Float.
"Let your voice be heard, Rachel," Poe said, kissing her hand.
Rachel:
Written in stone
Every rule, every word
Centuries old and unbending
Rachel picked up a book and started flipping through it.
"Stay in your place"
"Better seen and not heard"
Well, now that story is ending
She angrily closed the book and held Maleficent's Bane up high.
Cause I
I cannot start to crumble
Parts of the float fell away, showing glittering stone underneath.
So come on and try
Try to shut me and cut me down
Poe stood next to her, wand in hand as they shot a magical beam into the sky, creating fantastical magic runes in the air.
I won't be silenced!
You can't keep me quiet!
Rachel stepped forward, other female sorcerers following in her lead.
Won't tremble when you try it!
All I know is I won't go speechless!
She swung her sword forward, shooting of a firework above her.
Let the storm in!
I cannot be broken!
Illusions of heroes overcoming great trials appeared around her as she sang.
No, I won't live unspoken!
Cause I know that I won't go speechless!
Speechless!
Rachel stood strong, linking arms with Poe as they nodded and shared a tender moment together. Their parade float fading as Gabriel came to take the microphone back from Rachel. The raven smiled, his friends coming stand next to him as the lights dimmed around them.
Gabriel:
Don't close your eyes 'cause your future's ready to shine
It's just a matter of time before we learn how to fly!
The lights came back on in full force, revealing that the streets were open for everyone to come out and dance on.
Welcome to the rhythm of the night!

Tinkerbell and her fairy friends sprinkled Pixie Dust over everyone, letting some of the onlookers fly above the parade.
So come on won't you help me paint the night?
Gabriel transformed into his dragon form, landing on his parade float, the Dream Keeper Grand Finale Float, as the other Dream Keepers landed next to him.

Gabriel made a record scratch motion, doing a bit of free style Fantasia magic before continuing the song.

The float was themed around a large film projector in the back, showing off various moments from all of Gabriel's adventures. The main part of the float was a dance floor with a DJ booth, pulsing with pure Fantasia magic. A rhythmic song soon started, fading in as the Dream Keepers all started to sing and dance together.
Sisu smiled, doing a Chinese inspired dance as she took the microphone.
Sisu:
Don't think about it
Just move your body
Listen to the music
Sing, oh aye oh
Passing it to Lena, the teenage duck did a contemporary hip-hop dance for her part.
Lena:
Just move those left feet
Go ahead, get crazy
Anyone can do it
Sing, oh aye oh
Passing it to Brooklyn, the Gargoyle rocked out as he sang.
Brooklyn:
Show the world you've got that fire (fire)
Feel the rhythm getting louder
Passing it to Kairi, she danced and sang like a professional J-Pop idol.
Kairi:
Show the room what you can do
Prove to them you got the moves
I don't know about you...
Gabriel suddenly switched the music, going into another freestyle dance break. After using some more Fantasia, Jasiri pulled him out onto the floor, leaning into him as they danced together.
Jasiri:
(Oh aye oh, oh aye oh)
I feel better when I'm dancing
I'm better when I'm dancing
Hey, oh aye oh
I Feel better when I'm dancing, yeah, yeah

Don't you know?
Gabriel smiled, singing along as the lights and music grew with their movements.
Gabriel & Jasiri:
We can do this together
Bet you feel better when you're dancing

The crowd followed Gabriel and Jasiri's dance as they sang along with the catchy song.

The two kissed as they tangoed together.

The Dream Keepers pushed Gabriel and Jasiri to the front of the crowd as they took their final dance steps for the song.

The crowd cheered as all of Gabriel's friends surrounded him, picking him and Jasiri up and crowd surfing them over the Fantasia magic.
All:

With a smile at the camera, Gabriel waved goodbye as the last line was sung.

The main song of the original parade, the style changes every time it's sung.
"Galactic Dreamer" from Star Wars Visions
A fun song that sounds better in the original Japanese, but I love how cheesy the English lyrics are!
"Us Against the Universe" from Candace Against the Universe
Toren's song, representing how family and companionship are a big part of his character. We all indeed stand stronger together.
"The Future Has Arrived" from Meet the Robinson
Adam's song, and from my favorite Disney movie! It represents the more technological side of Adam, but also his "Keep Moving Forward" attitude.
"Son of Man" from Tarzan
Logan's song, representing his growth of character throughout the story. You earned it, buddy!
"Fight as One" from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
One of the best theme songs ever, it really captures what the team is all about. Just look up any fan music video with this song to see what I mean!
"Ever Ever After" from Enchanted
Silver's song. I mean, what a better song for him than one about dreams coming true and being who you really are on the inside?
"Speechless" from Aladdin (2019)
Rachel's song, which represents her strength of character. She'll always stand up for herself and others, a true hero if I've ever seen one.
"Better When I'm Dancing" from The Peanuts Movie
Gabriel's Song, and is technically a Disney song now with them owning Blue Sky Studios. It's another song that always gets me in a good mood, and one that captures the way music always helps Gabriel to save the day.
