Chapter 2 - Strawberry

May 26, 2014, 10:00 PM, Airport

At the Airport we see Ichigo Kurosaki and his close friend Orihime Inoue sitting on the floor, waiting for their Soul reaper friends. Ichigo wore a dark blue suit jacket, a red hoodie covering up his head, a black t-shirt, dark blue trousers with black shoes on. And there's Orihime, she wore a white shirt, a green jacket, a dark green scarf on her neck, a white frilly-looking skirt and long brown boots. Both of them looking pretty great.

Orihime yawns a bit loudly that the people on the airport might've heard. "you haven't slept Orihime?" Ichigo said.

Orihime soon stops yawning and comically looks at Ichigo with wide eyes and started stuttering "eh!? Erm well, it-it's just erm uh…" Orihime couldn't think of an excuse so she just nodded shyly without looking at Ichigo's eyes.

Ichigo just brushed it off. He then look at his watch and thought "Man, it's 10:30 now, it's almost time for the meeting that Toshiro stated. Where are they?"

Orihime's stomach starts growling very loudly, it's even louder than she yawns, the entire people on the airport heard her stomach growl including Ichigo and her cheeks went red in embarrassment. "Oh uh erm… whoops, I haven't had dinner yet, my bad" she laughs awkwardly. "Welp, good thing i brought something to eat. I even brought many more just in case."

"What're you having?" Ichigo asks.

"I'm having a dessert, it's a sweet sugary salad with mayonnaise and eggs on top covered with whole kinds of vegetables and french fries sandwich with sausage and cabbage and also vegetable oil, it's both nutritious and gives you lot of protein" Orihime proudly announced.

Ichigo however had a disturbed look on his face. Quite frankly, he doesn't even know where to begin or how to comprehend but he decided to push it aside for the sake of his sanity. Orihime is a sweet, lovely girl and all but, she'll be a terrible housewife if she keeps cooking like this. He feels bad for his future husband.

"Erm… why not put those… food aside and eat one of mine, Yuzu made lots for me, just in case," Ichigo said

"But why?" Orihime asks

"Just do it, trust me".

With no options, Orihime nodded and take some of Ichigo's food instead. After a delicious meal, they are both famished.

"Fuahhh… tastes so good!" Orihime said loudly.

"I know right" Ichigo smiles warmly. He again look at his watch and thought "It's 10:50 now, where are they?"

"It's sad that both Chad and Uryu couldn't come," Orihime said with a disappointed look on her face and her head back down.

"I guess they're both busy for some reason, I asked Chad to use that memory wipe so that the students couldn't remember us as if we never existed."

Orihime still had a sad look on her face "yeah" she then give a deep sigh "Tatsuki…" she was thinking of her best friend, she still couldn't help the fact that her best friend wouldn't remember her anymore.

Ichigo is aware of this and gave a comforting hand to Orihime's shoulders and a warm smile, "don't worry, they'll remember us after our mission is over then after the mission, we can hang out with them as much as we want."

Orihime with wide eyes on her face and her mouth couldn't help but smile warmly, she is feeling a lot better now thanks to Ichigo. "Yeah" Orihime nodded. "Also speaking of Uryu, he had been absent ever since our invasion to the soul society. Chad sometimes goes to school but other times he is absent. I wonder why?"

"Yeah, it's strange." Ichigo wonders. "Thank god my Father for some reason decided to let me go so I can have a "vacation with my friends". Any normal father would've refused because it's a school day but thankfully, my father isn't normal."

Orihime chuckles a bit "yeah if my brother were here, he would definitely refuse"

"I know right" Ichigo chuckles a bit as well.

Ichigo looks at Orihime and he couldn't help but to admit but she was so adorable, like literally adorable. He blushed at the thought and shook his head off.

Orihime was confused about why Ichigo shook her head off "hmm, what's wrong?"

"Nothing… Nothing" Ichigo knew he was lying but he didn't care.

"Anyways what time is it now" Ichigo stands up and looks at his clock "it's almost 11:04!? where are they!?" Ichigo said

"Do they have a cellphone or something like that?" Orihime asks

"Nah I doubt it." Ichigo said

"Should we wait for them outside of the airport?"

"No, let's just stay here a bit longer."

Orihime thinks of plan but how then an imaginary light bulb lights on her head, "what about searching for their spiritual energy?"

Ichigo widens as he never thought of that "oh yeah, let's do that."

Both of them tried to sense if they were here and it looks like they were from behind. There they are, Rukia, Renji, Toshiro, Ikakku, Yumichika, Rangiku and… Yoruichi?

Orihime screams "Hey guys! We are here!"

The seven of them heard Orihime and there they are. They walk towards them.

"Orihime, it's been a while," Rukia said with a smile on her face and hugs Orihime. Orihime returns the hug as well.

"You too Rukia, hi pretty boy, hi baldy"

"Baldy?" Ikakku whispers aggressively and proceeds to take out his wooden sword only for Yumichika to calm him down and put the sword back on

"Okay okay calm down"

"Anyways, where the hell were you guys!?, it's 11:10 now, you guys were 10 minutes late!" Ichigo screamed

Toshiro awkwardly chuckles and scratch his head "Sorry, we completely forgot to ask you where the airport is."

"Thankfully I joined them and know where it is or they would've been much more late or lost." Yoruichi says.

Ichigo with a confused look on his face stares at what Yoruichi's wearing "Yeah that's cool and all but, what's with the funny get-up?"

Yoruichi wears a red dress, black scarf, long black heels, sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, earrings, and lots of accessories on her hands.

"Why not? I mean, I wanna dress good for this trip, is there something wrong with that?" Yoruichi respond.

"Except this is not a trip, it's a mission." Ichigo responded back.

"Oh…" Yoruichi said then she then smirk, "well then guess I'll change." and proceeds to remove her red dress.

Ichigo and the rest blush furiously and turn their head in embarrassment except Rukia and Orihime since they're females.

"N-nevermind you can wear those if you like, just please put your dress on." Ichigo retorted

"Alright" Yoruichi then proceeds to put her dress back on and see that a lot of the males in the airport are having their nose bleed furiously, like a fountain of it. The Females on the other hand either blush or just like the males, nose bleed a fountain.

"Ahem anyways, let's go to our ride. We have no time to waste" Toshiro stated and the team nodded in response. With every single one of them wearing stylishly except Rukia who wears her old karakura school uniform for unknown reason. It's time to go to America.

May 26, 2014, Gotham City, 12:45 AM

At the Grocery Store, there is Artemis who decided to quit being a superhero and start being a normal housewife for his boyfriend or soon-to-be husband, Wally West. she goes grocery shopping for dinner, just the two of them. Unlike that one couple, both of them had a strong .healthy relationship that is still ongoing to this day.

"Hmm let's see, I have tomato sauce, chicken, potatoes, carrots, spices, perfect to make a fantastic curry. Now all i need is the rice. Artemis said as she tries to find where the raw rice sells and… she found it.

"Perfect" Artemis said.

After she bought everything she need. She exited the grocery store and starts to head home. She got a message noise from her phone and it was Wally West, she decided to message back

Wally: Hey, how are you doin beautiful?.

Artemis: pretty great, in fact, I'm about to cook something special tonight.

Wally: Cool! can't wait.

Artemis: chuckles, anyways gotta head out now. Love you.

Wally: Love you too Beautiful *heart emoji*

She chuckles again and moves her phone on her bag and just as Artemis walks back home, She senses something strange around her back like someone is following her. It's not just ordinary stalking it's aura is much creepier, eerier, weirder and felt… hollow. With no choice, Artemis turns her back around and screams-

"Who's there?!"

As she turns back, she saw was… nothing. Absolutely nothing. Artemis glares and said.

"I'm warning you! you better show up or i'll-?"

She then felt like an invisible hand holding her neck, strangling her and lifting her up.

"L-Let go of me! Who are you anyway?!" Artemis struggled but tried her hardest to fight back however, it was no use. then it growls, the invisible creature holding her aims for a strike until a person with a black shirt with a superman sign kicks it and let go of Artemis. Artemis coughs loudly and took a deep breath.

She then calms down and is widened in shock. There she sees her old superhero friends, Superboy, Nightwing and up there is Miss Martian, ready to fight the invisible creature.

Artemis is so glad to see them and screamed "Megan! Connor! Dick!"

"So glad to see you Artemis but we need you to back of for a bit" says Nightwing.

Artemis was confused but decided to not question it. She nodded at the new leader of her former crew.

The Invisible creature got back up and Superboy proceed to charge at it.

"RAAAAAHHHH!"

"WHACK!" "GACK!" "WHACK!"

Superboy punches the invisible creature on it's face, torso chest only for the invisible creature to attack back.

"GACK!"

"GUUAAAHH! OOF!" Superboy sent back to a wall.

"Superboy!" Nightwing shouted, proceeds to charge at the mysterious creature, he throws bat grenades at it and it worked.

"Miss Martian!" Nightwing shouted.

"Right!" Miss Martian proceed to use her telekinesis against the invisible creature, lifting it up then smashing it down repeatedly.

"WACK!" WACK!" WACK!"

Miss Martian lifts up the mysterious creature then Superboy got back up and gave the Final punch it needed.

"WHACK!" "Crack!" "SPLOOSH!" "BAM!" Superboy punched so hard that something cracked a bit and the mysterious creature got sent off to a wall. Then it got back up and flee as fast as it can. Both Superboy and Miss Martian decided to chase after it but Nightwing told them to stop for now, they must look after their old friend who was both shocked and confused.

"Artemis, are you alright?" Nightwing said and Artemis nodded but still confused about what's going on, who is that they are fighting.

"You're probably confused, don't worry we'll explain everything in Mount Justice" Nightwing explained. With Artemis and the two Superheroes nod, they took Megan's ship and proceed to go to Mount Justice, their own headquarters created by the League.

May 27, 2014, Mount Justice, 2:00 AM

At Mount Justice, with them got out of the ship. Artemis gains quite a bit of nostalgia for the place, there are differences here and there but overall, it's still the same mount justice that she knows and adores. She really misses this place. She messages Wally that she'll be a bit late for... reasons and that she'll cook tomorrow.

The four of them goes to the main hall and see Batman and Red tornado alongside with members of… unknown superhero kids.

"We have information on these monsters." Batman stated.

"Monsters?" Artemis questioned.

"I expected as much." Batman stated then proceeds to go to the computer and show these invisible, mysterious creatures on the screen.

"We have these monsters rampaging Gotham City, Metropolis and the list goes on. Some of them on rare occasions appear whether it's morning, afternoon or evening and while most of them target living being such as us, nearly all of them are attacking souls"

Artemis was confused, souls? Living beings? what is Batman talking about?

"We found a random soul that was chased by these creatures. Thankfully we saved him and ask a few questions, he stated these creatures are known as hollows. Hollows are basically like souls after the living being passed away except they were infected with regret, rage, hatred and is now consuming normal souls or humans who have a strong spiritual presence." Batman stated.

Artemis now understands. So those are hollows, that's why she felt they have this dark, empty aura around them. So if that hollow is targeting her, does that mean she has a strong spiritual presence? And how did Batman and Nightwing sees these souls and hollows when she can only felt their presence.

"He stated that most humans who have strong spiritual presence can either completely see a hollow or see them but blurred or never see them but felt their presence luckily, we built these goggles so any normal humans can see them." Red Tornado stated and gives it to Artemis, both Nightwing and Batman have them on their heads.

"So that's what these goggles are for, i thought they were for show." Artemis stated and takes the googles.

"Keep in mind these hollows are still human souls who are possessed by their negative emotion, so don't kill them. capture and put them in a giant hole that we build so that they cannot escape. then we'll find a cure on how to purify these hollows into normal but, that's going to take a long time so if you see any hollows rampaging, defend the living or the souls it with all your might." Batman stated and everybody nodded.

"I would like to introduce these new members, they'll help you fight against these creatures and your mission, they may be inexperienced but had extreme potential so i hope you treat them right." Batman stated and again everybody nodded.

These new members that will be joining them are Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, New Robin, Wonder Girl, Lagoon Boy, Batgirl, Bumblebee and… her boyfriend Mal?.

As follows the new members introducing themselves, so did the Team and Artemis. After Batman decided to leave Mount Justice and tell the crew that be prepared when they call them on a mission, they decided to bond over each other and had a friendly banter. Karen, also known as Bumblebee is glad to see Megan and is happy to team up with her. Beast Boy decided to join the two girls, Lagoon Boy's first move when joining the crew is to flirt with Megan. Mal is glad to meet Connor again and bonded with eachother. New Robin, Batgirl and Blue Beetle bonded over with their leader Nightwing. All that's left is Artemis wandering at the sky, thinking of what will happen in the future and what will happen to these hollows or souls.

May 27, 2021, Gotham Airport, 5:59 AM

Ichigo and his friends finally arrived to America, they brought their bags and get out of the Airplane exited the Airport, they are now in Gotham City. they then look at the view and see that America while have some similarities in Japan, it has a different vibe to it. Orihime takes a deep breath and sees that the smell here is a lot different in a good way. "HELLO! AMERICA!" Orihime screamed excitedly.

"You're looking forward to this huh Orihime?" Ichigo stated.

Orihime looks at Ichigo and excitedly says "Yup! the environment, the smell, the people, the places at least from what i've seen is so unique, this is my first time going to another country other than Japan, so i'm pumped up.

Ichigo smiles at Orihime, he as well looking forward to this trip as well.

"Same as us Orihime, although this is our very first time to go to America with zero knowledge of it" Rukia stated.

"Still this is our first time so we should all enjoy it to the fullest" Orihime stated.

Rukia smiled "Yeah." same as Ichigo and Orihime, she is looking forward to it as well.

"Anyways, enjoying this is nice and all but remember we are all here on a mission. So we better not slack off too much-" Toshiro states but he was cut off by Rangiku who was looking at these newly fashionable clothes for sale at a nearby department store.

"OH MY GOD! THEY'RE SO… BEAUTIFUL!" Rangiku screamed and burst into tears of joy. "We better buy this Captain! Come with me" says Rangiku and she pulls of Toshiro so that he can join with her.

"H-H-HOLD ON!? Wait!" Toshiro screamed and tried struggling to get free but it was no use pretty much.

The Team stands there and their expression is in comedic disbelief.

"Orihime's right, let's enjoy this for a while." Yoruichi stated and the Team nodded. She then asks "Orihime, wanna come with me?"

Orihime widen her eyes a bit, thinking that why would Yoruichi wanna hang out with her but she decided not to think about and join because why not. Both of them are on their way.

Both Renji and Ikakku's stomachs growl so loud that the rest of the crowd noticed. "Sorry" was all Renji stated while having an awkward smile on his face and scratching his head on the back.

"Let's find someplace to eat." Ichigo said and the rest of the team nodded.

They are definitely going to enjoy this to the fullest.

"Welp is everybody ready." The Random Yellow hair guy wearing a long-sleeve brown polo and tie tells his crew that are they finished packing.

The Team nodded. The first member is a small snaggletooth girl who wears a white shirt and jogging suit, the second is a long, wavy, blond hair male who wears a black suit with a thigh-length, black jacket. The third is a young woman who is dressed in a white bodysuit with orange gloves, boots and scarf, along with a set of goggles atop her lime-green hair. The fourth is a thick black spiked afro guy who wears a green jogging suit and wears mirrored sunglasses. The fifth is a young adult woman with turquoise eyes, red oval glasses and long black hair, who dressed in a long sleeved sailor fuku. The sixth is a very large and rotund man, He wears an olive-green tuxedo with a yellow bow tie. And finally, the last member is a tall, muscular man with sharp features, short light-gray/silver hair, He wears a dark purple A-shirt with a white trim, in addition to green cargo pants, black combat boots, and a pair of orange fingerless gloves.

The Leader with the Yellow hair smirked and it was now their time to go to America.
