It has been over a year since I have been crowned the Champion of Galar after I beat Leon in the Champion Cup, stopped the Darkest Day from happening and ousted the President Rose from making the Darkest Day a reality. Unlike most trainers who have a core team of 6 Pokémon with 101 moves, I have a team of 8 Pokémon that only has 4 moves each as I value depth more than breath. The following list are my Pokémon, their nicknames, and the memorable moments we had.

My starter Pokemon is Inteleon, nicknamed Emiya, after the magus killer in the Fate series. Truthfully, Sobble was not my first choice as a starter Pokemon when I started out my journey. In fact, I wanted Grookey as my starter but that damn monkey threw his stick at me when I tried to pick it up and it was Sobble who prevented me from getting injured by shooting a water gun to blow the stick away. Sobble was initially a scaredy cat, running away at even the smallest Pokemon but he has never disappointed me during the gym challenges and has remained as a steadfast member of my Champion Team. Emiya's move set is Sucker Punch, Snipe Shot, U-turn and Liquidation.

My first capture is Orbeetle, who I nicknamed Noir after the ladybug kids show. He has ambushed me while I was cooking curry during my first night in the Wild Area. As a Blipbug, he was very weak and could not even scratch most of his opponents but being patient with him was worth it. After evolving to Dottler, he became an irritating adversity to most of our opponents as his constant confusion confused most Pokemon and he has arguably high defence for a bug type. During my battle with Bede, an arrogant douchebag who is still one despite his sob story, Noir evolved into Orbeetle and wrecked Bede's entire team. Till today, Noir has devasted trainers who underestimate the strength of this small bug. Noir's moves are Struggle Bug, Calm Mind, Psychic and Confusion.

Next up is Selena, who is my Alcremie. I named her Selena because Selena Gomez sang the song ice cream. She is arguably my weakest Pokemon in the Champion Team when it comes down to strength, but she is second to none when it comes to trickery. Like Noir, she was weak before she evolved and had to be hard carry but Emiya and Noir to gain experience. Her evolution was a moment to forget for both of us. After giving her the strawberry treat from the battle café, we had to strike a pose which we had done so in the wild area. The awkward part is the wild pokemon just stared at us with thinly veiled second-hand embarrassment and to make matter worse, Selena did not evolve right away after making the pose. It took a good one minute before she started to evolve into Alcremie. Selena's moves are Misty Terrian, Dazzling Glean, Tri Attack and Draining Kiss.

My Centiskorch, Nike, is the first hurdle that my challenger had to go through before they could challenge the rest of my Pokemon and I am proud to say that only a few of them had not lost a single Pokemon against her. I caught Nike during my gym challenge at the Motostoke Stadium and from then on, she trained harder than any of my team and rose from the bottom barrel Pokemon into who she is now. In fact, she evolved 2 days after I captured her. Nike is arguably my strongest Pokemon, along side Emiya and Medusa. During one point of my gym challenges, she overtook Emiya to be the ACE of my team. Her moves are Crunch, Flame wheel, Bug bite and Slam.

Oolong is the name of my beloved tea making Poleageist. I was not planning on catching Oolong, but it constantly pestered me during my journey and scared off all the Pontyas, the Pokemon which I was looking for. In the end, I gave up, battled it and captured it. Despite Oolong's eccentricity, it is one of my counters to psychic and water type Pokemon due to its moves. It has arguably the highest special attack in my team which is useful, considering how versatile it can execute its moves. The best part about Oolong is its ability to make tea, I am not kidding you, but her speciality is black tea rather than Oolong. Its moves are Giga Drain, Hex, Nasty Plot and Will-O-Wisp.

I was lucky to have caught Medusa, my Sandaconda. She named after the scary Gorgon goddess in the Greek Mythology and her Glare lives up to the legend. Unlike the previous Pokémon who I have to battled, I found Medusa suntanning at the top of the cliff, so I threw a Pokeball and it was somehow caught. Despite the rude capturing, Medusa is very receptive to training and battling for me, but she has her own unique style of battling that does not involve tanking but rather tricking her opponents despite her high defence. She is my third latest capture but she somehow managed to keep up with the rest of my team well enough. Her moves are basic as compared to the rest of my team, they are Headbutt, Glare, Dig and Sandstorm.

I named Grapploct who is my final capture during my journey as Amanda, name of the GOAT female MMA fighter. She has a Brave nature, boosting her already high attack stats which was the reason why I allowed her to join my main team instead of sending her out on Poke jobs. She values a fair fight like most martial artists and hence her moves are purely fighting type. Despite the limited moves, she can beat down Pokemon that is supposing stronger than her due to her immense attack stats. Instead of relying on raw power, she abused her tentacles to make her moves less predictable. Her fighting instinct is further honed by Bea, the fighting gym leader and she is able to beat most of Bea's Pokemon, with the exception of her monster of a Machamp. Her moves are Bulk Up, Brick Break, Octolock and Superpower

Jack, my Frosmoth is with me since he was an egg. I caught both of his parents who were disappointing in their characters, stats and moves so I used them to breed a Snom who could be imprinted on me. It worked to a tee, Jack is my second most battle hungry Pokemon and he tried to pick fights whenever he can despite being the weakest member of my team. Like Nike, he relies on brute force to solve his problems and he is too prideful to dodge his opponents. Nevertheless, he is still strong enough to wipe Raihan's dragon team other than the steel tower dragon. His moves are Blizzard, Feather Dance, Dazzling Gleam and Quiver Dance.

Back to the story…. During my time as a champion, I overhauled the gym challenge. No longer do you need a recommendation to face the gym challenge to make it fair for everyone. Gym leaders now have a level gap to prevent people from steamrolling through using high level Pokemon and challengers must face each other first and only the top 4 will be able to face the leader each day. The level cap is as such, for Milo, a challenger's Pokemon cannot exceed level 20 and the level cap increases by 10 with each gym challenges. I also put in place an Elite 4 to deal with challengers who have won the Champion Cup which I changed to quarterly instead of annually to give more people the chance to challenge the Elite 4.

The first of my Elite is Hop, my rival from the start. Hop is undoubtedly the weakest of my Elite, the only reason why he is even there is because I wanted my challengers to let their guard down before they faced the second Elite. Like Leon and I, Hop is a Generalist but unlike us, he does not have an ACE in his team as he believed all Pokémon should be similarly strong. His trademark Pokemon is his Wooloo, who is his starter.

The second Elite is Marnie, the sweet dark type lover. After she was defeated by me in the Champion Cup, I persuaded her to take up the mantle of my Elite 4 and to reject her brother's offer of being the Gym Leader in her hometown. She accepted my offer once I became the Champion much to her brother's dismay and he still held a grudge till today. She is tiers ahead of Hop and her dark types are brutal in eliminating challengers despite her innocent look. Her trademark Pokemon is Morpeko and it is also the ACE of her team.

If a challenger somehow defeats Marnie, they must face Bea, the former fighting Gym leader. Bea is a straight minded girl that is so easy to con. I told her that by being in the Elite 4, she can battle Leon every day, if she is able to find him. Hook, line, and sinker. She signed the contract to be an Elite 4 and became Leon's guardian and girlfriend. You read right, after 6 months of interaction, they actually got together and they PDA quite a lot during meetings, but I could not find myself to feel disgusted as Hop's face was priceless. Her signature Pokemon is Machamp who is also Amanda's rival.

My final Elite 4 is Leon, the previous Champion. With him as the last member, no one had been able to battle me. Even among the Elites, no one can defeat him and even I have to use 3 Pokemon to clear his team. Leon only received 1 challenger so far as that person is a psychic specialist who swept the previous 3 Elites, but she got crushed by Leon and his monster of a Charizard who is also his trademark Pokemon.

Seeing how I never received any challengers; I decided to explore the other regions and strengthened our relationships with them while trying to find an alternative energy source to Dynamx which was running out in 1000 years. I relayed the information to my Elites, and they were surprisingly receptive to the idea, bar Marnie who is upset that she has to deal with Hop alone since the lover birds will be making nest in our Tower.

That being said, my first victim, I mean region I will be going to is Kanto and I promised my Pokemon that they will be able to challenge at least one gym each. To ensure my safety in the event of any attacks, Emiya will be wearing a disguise and be following me out of my Pokémon.

Ready or not Kanto, the Champion of Galar is coming to wreck your region.
