zarc4d: Bea and Leon is a couple that is born from Pokemon Twilight Wings. I put Ash and Red because I might combined the game and anime elements.
According to the "101 things to know about Kanto" guidebook, the first place that any normal tourist should visit in Kanto is Pallet Town, where the esteemed Pokémon Professor, Professor Oak lives. Personally, I do not see why he is still so well regarded when he still needs the help of teenagers to fill up his Pokedex. I mean look at Professor Magnolia (sounds like the milk brand) and Professor Sycamore, they are doing something interesting and discovering new information everyday while Oak is still researching only Pokémon in Kanto. Nevertheless, Pallet Town will still be my first stop in Kanto as that is where the ship will be docked, and I love to scare new trainers.
My party currently consists of Emiya and Oolong, the former to act as my bodyguard to get the Elite 4 of my back and the latter as my tea maker, it pays to have a Pokemon that enjoys and can make good tea. The journey to Kanto was uneventful, as it should be because apparently, the whole ship was rented for me, and the expense was covered by the Elite 4. When I contacted them to ask why a whole ass ship was rented, they explained that it was to avoid be battling some pour soul and/or causing the entire ship to sink when I lose control. The amount of faith that my Elite 4 has for me is truly heart-warming… not.
Back to Pallet Town, it was as plain as I imagined a starting town to be. The scenery is basically small houses aligning in a very orderly manner, grass, mountain, and forest. There is no Pokemon Centre in sight which make me wonder how trainers even heal their Pokemon in this backward area of Kanto and I highly suspect that Oak was forced to build his laboratory here because the price of land is dirt cheap, no pun intended.
Speaking of Oak's lab, only the blind or the idiot will be unable to spot it. Amongst the small and adorable blue homogeneous houses, there is 1 obnoxiously big red building that is not aligned with the rest of the house and the building is clearly not environmentally friendly with black smoke escaping the chimney. On the bright side, this meant that new trainers will probably not get lost in Pallet and tourists like myself will be able to spot his lab rather easily.
'Knock! Knock!' I knocked on the door of Oak's lab. I heard someone scrambling within the building and loud crashes before a frazzled looking lady opened the door. By the time she had opened the door, Emiya had vanished somewhere out of sight but still within his sniping range should anything happen to me.
"Hello. Welcome to Oak's laboratory. My name is Daisy Oak, one of Professor's assistant, how may I help you?" Daisy panted.
"Hello. I came from Galar, and I am here to see Professor Oak as it is part of the Kanto guidebook for dummies." I introduced myself and explained.
"He is currently giving out Pokemon to new trainers, but you can watch the process if you want?"
I nodded my head and followed Diasy as she led me up to the second floor of the lab and showed me where the couch was.
I nodded my head in thanks and Daisy went back to do what she was previously doing, which was to pick up the boxes or whatever things that she dropped to open the door for me.
'Man, I actually sounded like a jerk for not offering my help. No wonder I cannot get a girlfriend' I thought to myself. My train of thought broke as Oak started to begin his speech to the new trainers.
"Hello there! Welcome to the world of Pokemon! My name is Oak! People call me the Pokemon Professor! The world is inhabited by creatures called Pokemon. For some people, Pokemon are pets. Others use them for fights. Myself… I study Pokemon as a profession. First, what are your names?" Oak begins.
"Gramps, what is the point, you know all of us anyways." The boy dressed in blue with gravity defying hair complained.
"Shush Blue, this is a tradition that all trainers in Kanto should uphold" Oak 'explained'
'What type of stupid tradition is that? It just sounds like Oak is delirious and have short term memory.' I thought amusingly to myself, and my lips quirked into a grin.
"For the last time Gramps, I will go by Gary, not the stupid colour of a name." Gary argued.
'Ironic, considering that he is wearing blue, yet he is complaining about the colour being stupid' The other 3 occupants in the room thought
"My name is Red Ketchum, the future Pokemon master. My brother is sleeping currently so I came first." Red introduced himself next. He is wearing a black singlet with a red jacket.
'Why on earth do you want to wear a jacket when Kanto is so humid and hot?' I thought while fanning myself.
"What happens to lady first? My name is Leaf Green." Green said.
"Now that you all have introduced yourself, it is time to choose your starter Pokemon. There are 3 Pokeballs in the table containing rare Pokemon. They are Charmander, the fire type, Bulbasaur, the grass type and Squirtle, the water type. Leaf can pick her Pokemon first followed by Red and Blue." Professor Oak gestured to the table where the Pokeballs were labelled with the respectibe typings.
Surprise, surprise. All 3 trainers went for the Pokemon that suits their namesakes. Red picked Charmander, Blue picked Squirtle and Leaf picked Bulbasaur.
"To begin your journey, these are the Pokedex that helped you to record the Pokemon that you might see on your journey. If there are any discrepancies, you can record it down and send to me. Rest assured that you will be rewarded for your effort. With that, have a safe journey." Oak concluded the long-winded speech.
The 3 trainers were about to leave when they, along with Oak saw me casually sitting on the couch and they jumped in fright.
"Who are you? Are you a thief" Blue pointed rudely at poor little me.
"Wait… he looks familiar. I think I saw him on television before." Red rubbed his chin while travelling back the memory lane.
"What is the Champion of Galar doing here?" Oak asked and the expression of the 3 trainers turned for fear and suspicion to pure admiration.
"If you mean why I am here in Kanto, it is because I want to form better ties with other regions and Kanto is my first stop. If you are asking why I am in Pallet, it is because I want to speak to Lance but I can only get an audience if I win the Championship so I am following the guidebook and it said that I should go to Pallet first." I sheepishly wave my hand to the 3 trainers and explained to Oak.
"Battle me!" The 3 trainers shouted in unison.
I looked at them strangely for a good 20s and I laughed.
"No offence but you are still new and there is really no way you can beat me now. The only Pokemon I have on hand is part of my Champion team. Run along now. I will be more than happy to battle you in the conference when you have gained more experience." I shrugged them off.
They looked depressed for a moment but quickly perked up and hastily left the lab to begin their journey.
"Now that the new trainers are gone, what can I do for you?" Oak inquired.
"I need to register for the league, and I am hoping you can help me do so since I am here already." I pulled an excuse out from my ass and avoid the main reason why I was here which was to scare the fresh blood and to soak up some attention.
"I am sorry to say but…"
"Am I too late to collect my Pokemon?" Oak's rejection was interrupted by the screaming of a kid that was still dressed in his pjs.
Oak shot me an apologetic look and turned to face the boy.
"Ash, as you are late, all the usual starting Pokemon has been taken so there is no more left for you, but I do have a Pikachu that I caught recently that is aching to get out." To which, Ask nodded his head enthusiastically and snatched the Pokeball right out of Oak's hand.
It was then that Ash realised that I was staring at him with an annoyed rude.
"What are you staring at?" He asked rudely
"Just at how rude you look and sound." I muttered.
"How are you insult the future Pokemon Master? I challenged you to a Pokemon battle." He stupidly demanded.
I nodded in agreement as I wanted to teach this brat a lesson.
*At the ranch*
"This will be a one vs one battle with no substitution" Oak announced.
Oolong floated out of the Pokemon while Pikachu was thrown out of its.
"Mega Drain to end it" I said in a bored tone.
"Dodge it" Ash retaliated but Pikachu did not listen and stood still
Shadow tendrils came out from the cup and surrounded Pikachu in a blink of an eye and green energy shot up and drain Pikachu's energy, causing it to slim down. Within a second, Pikachu dropped unceremoniously on the floor.
I returned Oolong and thanked it for all the hard work (more like wasting its time).
"Thank you for your time, Professor and Ash, next time, walk the talk." I turned around and walked out of Pallet Town without looking back.
Bye Pallet Town!
