Chapter 4

Ron tossed and turned as he struggled to get comfortable, but it didn't work. He wondered why his bed was so uncomfortable. It almost felt like a...chair? Why was he in a chair-that's right! As the blond jolted awake it all came back to him.

Ron looked around and saw that he was in a square room that was too white for his liking, and too bright. Other than the extremely uncomfortable chair that he was in, there was nothing else in the room. No desk, window or person. There was a single door.

Please. Do not be alarmed. We are about to engage. The Nozzle.

A hissing noise filled the room as a hole expanded from the upper wall ahead of him. Out came a tube like device with a red glass at the top that extended out in a jagged, slinking motion. It made it's way to the blond.

"The wh-"

Please. Do not speak. While the Nozzle. Is engaging.

Ron sat there as the tube continued to extend and make its way towards him.

The Nozzle was making him very uncomfortable, the way it was heading towards him. Like a metal snake. He began looking around for anything that would explain what was going on.

Please. Do not move. While the Nozzle. Is engaged. Moving will disrupt calibration of. The Nozzle.

He sat there, motionless as the device finally made it's way into his face.

Please. Do not look away from. The Nozzle.

So Ron sat there, staring at the device. He honestly felt that it was staring back at him.

The Nozzle. Is now calibrating.

...

Still calibrating.

...

Still calibrating.

...

The Nozzle. Has completed calibration.

With that, the metal tube returned to the hole it came from in an instant. Now that it was gone, Ron did the one thing that felt natural. He shuddered in place.

"There he is!" A cheerful voice spoke as the door opened.

Ron looked up to see Dr. Betty Director, the leader of Global Justice. She smiled at the blond but it didn't seem to quite reach her eye. Not that Ron noticed, he was too concerned about the so called Nozzle.

"What was that!?" Ron asked.

"I have no idea." Dr. Director answered honestly.

Dr. Betty looked to where the Nozzle had retracted before giving a brief shudder. The thing reminded her of a one-eyed robotic snake.

"What was it calibrating?" He asked and she only shrugged.

"Let's uh...continue this in my office." She offered.

She ran the entirety of Global Justice and the fact that something was going on without her knowledge terrified her.

It wasn't long before the two found themselves in her office. She took a seat at her desk where an agent in full uniform and a helmet that covered their face stood, a weapon in hand. Ron took a seat in the only other available chair in the room.

"So, why did G.J. decide to kidnap me?" Ron asked.

"We didn't kidnap you, Ron." Dr. Director spoke with a smile.

"...Pretty sure you did." Ron stated with a raised eyebrow. "Pretty sure that the entire lunchroom you took me from were my witnesses."

"That might of been a problem if you, our newest recruit, hadn't agreed to assist Global Justice with the testing of our methods in neutralizing a threat." Dr. Director spoke as she held up a form that had been sitting on he desk. "Just sign here. Here. And initial here."

Ron looked at the lady in front of him and then to the paper and back with a raised eyebrow. Seeing his confusion and reluctance Dr. Director decided to stop with the pleasantries.

"Ron, you have two choices here." She stated. "You can sign here and become a member of Global Justice and come help us protect the innocent or-"

"Or?"

Now she lost her smile. "Or we mark you as the threat you are."

Ron looked at her and tried to process what she had just said to him. That she was threatening him for doing his job, their job. Then he did the most unexpected thing. He smiled.

"You forgot option three." Ron stated as he stood up. "I walk out of here using the element of surprise."

Dr. Director stood as well, meeting his gaze. "If you mean the ninja hiding beside me, then I'm aware."

Dr. Director turned in a flash and kicked the guard that had been beside her. The guard flew into the wall with a solid thud. The helmet fell off to reveal Yori. The ninja stood up and took a fighting stance.

Instead of preparing for a second bout, Dr. Director kept casual stance before looking towards the ceiling.

"You can come out now, Kim Possible."

The vent that hung over them opened and out dropped the redhead. The teen heroine frowned at the Secret Agent discovering she was there.

"How did-?"

"I keep a constant surveillance on the signal from your Kimmunicator at all times." Dr. Director spoke, never taking her eyes off of Yori. "When we found out you were heading here, we shut down the defenses in your location."

"You shut them down?"

"Attacking any of the agents would have been an act of terrorism." Dr. Director spoke. "Not to mention you're breaking into a government facility."

"I keep tabs on all of those who are supposed to be guarding me." She stated, while making air-quotations at the word 'guard'. "You are several inches too short and thin to have been the agent on duty. Where is he."

Yori said nothing, she just continued to hold her battle stance and stare into the eye of the secret agent. In a smooth motion Dr. Director stomped her foot down onto the edge of the gun knocking it into the air where she grabbed it. She pointed it straight at Yori.

Both Ron and Kim tensed at this, but not Yori. The ninja kept her cool gaze trained on Dr. Director's eye.

"Whoa, you can't just shoot her!" Kim protested.

"She's an intruder." Dr. Director spoke. "I am within my rights to kill her unless she tells me where my guard is.

"Yori?" Ron spoke with worry. He didn't doubt her skills in combat but he did doubt her ability to dodge bullets at less than five feet of distance.

"He's unconscious." She answered. "I left him tied in one of of your bathrooms."

Without breaking eye-contact, Dr. Director used one hand to use the intercom while keeping the other holding the gun trained on Yori, she called to whoever was on the other end. She gave an order and in mere moment they confirmed what Yori had stated. The soldier was unconscious in a bathroom but otherwise unharmed. Seemingly happy with that, she lowered the gun and turned her attention back to Ron.

"Now that we have that unpleasantness out of the way, we can-"

"Why are you trying to recruit, Ron?" Kim demanded.

"Now that he is no longer affiliated with Team Possible, we need to secure him." Dr. Director spoke as she pressed another button on her desk.

A screen lowered itself for all to see. This one showed a recording of his confrontation with Shego.

"You aren't Zorpox!" Shego declared, more to herself than him.

She stated that, but it would explain everything! A madman who cared for nothing but his own goals, willing to sacrifice any and everything.

"Aren't I?" He challenged as he continued getting closer. "You know what the Attitudinator really did to me?" He asked with a knowing smile. "It removed my inhibitions, it gave me an excuse. A way to justify my actions! But I don't need to now, why should I justify what I do to you? You're the bad guy trying to control the world, putting peoples lives in danger." He gave another laugh. "It's practically my civic duty to stop you!"

It paused there.

"Now we were able to overlook the whole Zorpox incident from before, but not this time." Dr. Director spoke. "We thought it was just because of the Attitudinator. You proved that you are a national threat."

"So why aren't you locking me up?" Ron asked.

"You mean besides the fact you have an unstoppable army?" The secret agent asked. "We'd rather have you with us than against us. You could be a valuable asset."

"Where are Drakken and Shego?"

There was a moment of silence as the G.J leader considered her words.

"Until now Drakken has played the fool's villain." She answered after a thought. "Now that he's proven he can be a real threat he must be dealt with accordingly."

"Life in prison?"

Dr. Director said nothing, which was honestly more ominous than if she had lied to them. Ron's gaze fell between Kim, who looked horrified, and Yori, who looked on in understanding. It took her a moment, but Kim finally caught on.

"You can't just kill him!" Kim stated. "He has to stand trial! See a judge and-"

"He tried to take the world hostage and would have succeeded if not for Mr. Stoppable here." Dr. Director countered. "Which he broadcast-ed across the world."

Ron was walking through the halls, trying to find an exit. He was getting good at sneaking away from people even when he was in their faces. Yori was following closely behind.

"I was most impressed at how you kept calm." Yori stated.

"I didn't know that you were there." Ron admitted. "When I challenged Dr. Director."

This statement surprised the ninja but not too greatly, she waited patiently for him to continue. When he didn't she spoke.

"What was your plan?"

Ron held up a device. It looked like a red pen with a flashing light and two horn-like protrusions on the side.

"I was going to just summon the Diable robots to break me out of here." Ron stated. "Now that I think about it, that would have been bad. I would have proved her right on being a threat. I thought I didn't have anything to lose." He answered. "Then I saw you. You came here to save me at the risk of your own life."

"Of course I did, you are my friend."

That brought a smile to the blonds face. Then he frowned harder than before. It was so easy for him to just give in and go bad.

"Something else troubles you." Yori stated rather than asked.

"...I...don't want to keep doing bad things." Ron stated. "I spent doing the last few years being a side-kick and I thought I was good at it. But-"

"Do something good." Yori stated. "Have you committed an act so heinous that it couldn't be atoned for?"

Ron racked his brain as best he could and thankfully there had been nothing he did that couldn't be fixed. Except for Drakken and Shego. They were on death row now because of him. He wanted to stop them but the thought of them dead because of him. He involuntarily clenched his fist. Feeling the paper crumple in his palm brought him back.

Looking down at the contract, Ron had an idea form.

. . .

Drew Lipsky, better known as Dr. Drakken, was in a lot of pain. Apparently, when Ron had tossed him to the side, he had landed in a bad position against something very solid. And the hospital didn't seem to want to share the painkillers.

Though it paled in comparison to the pain that Shego was in. Not just the physical aspect, but also the mental and emotional part. He knew that she was a prideful person, more so than he. She had built this reputation as this unstoppable woman, it's what originally brought her to his attention. Then it had all been taken away in such a brutal fashion. By a sidekick. He had beaten her then forced her to run away in fear only to corner her.

At least her defeats by Possible were quick, clean and by someone who was worth something. Not a clown who couldn't keep his pants up.

"T-Thank you, Shego." He spoke.

"What?"

"Thank you." He repeated a little louder. "For what you did?"

"What, lose to the Buffoon?" The merc asked venomously.

"You stood up for me." He stated. "You didn't have to do that, bu-"

"It's in my contract."

"And after each of my failures, you came back." Drew stated with growing emotions. "No one but my mom has ever-"

"Please don't compare me to your mom."

"You-" He began again. "Thank you, for being my friend."

Shego may be the most dangerous woman in the world but she was still human. That was something many of her former clients didn't seem to understand. Because of her green skin and powers many of the other villains thought she was some experiment gone wrong, or right depending on how you look at it. Many of them treated her as a weapon if she was lucky or a subhuman if she wasn't.

Not Dr. Drakken. He was the only one outside of her brothers to ever treat her like a person. Sure he had his melodramatic moments but he never tried to control her, never tried to misuse her.

"Thanks...for treating me like a person."

"Aw, this is nice." Ron stated with a smile.

"Ah!" Drakken cried. "Shego, help!"

As if on reflex, Shego attempted to stand and fight only to collapse back into bed. As tough as she was even she had a limit. She would need time to heal from her beating. That didn't stop her from trying to glare Ron to death.

"I come in peace!" Ron stated as he held up his hands, revealing the contract.

"What're you playing at Stoppable?" Shego demanded.

"First of all, thank you for remembering my name. I really appreciate it." Ron stated with a smile. "I wanted to try and convince you two to come to the good guys side."

There was a moment of silence as the villains looked back between one another. Then they laughed. They laughed so hard that they shook and jostled their aching bodies. Still, the pain that filled their bodies paled to the hilarity of the situation.

"That laugh was worth the agonizing pain in caused." Dr. Drakken stated as he settled back into the cot. "...ooow."

"Now here me out." Ron stated. "Dr. D, didn't you enjoy your time as a good guy?" He asked the blue man. "Designing things to make delicious coco moo and hanging out with Rufus."

"And Shego." He turned to the woman. "I thought you were a merc, a lady for hire."

It was at this moment that Yori walked in. The two villains looked at her suspiciously as she made her way to Ron's side and glanced between the blue man and green woman.

"And if we refuse?"

"Are you familiar with how the Persians executed people?" Yori asked. "It is called The Boat. It's filled with milk and you lay in it. And if you're hungry we pour honey on your face."

"That sounds...nice actually." Dr. Drakken admitted.

"At first." Yori agreed. "Till the milk spoils. Soon the tub fills with your excrement. Then the flies and their maggots. At first it itches a bit and then it burns as your skin peels away with every scratch you can't stop yourself from making. Your blood mixes with the foul milk and excrement seeping into your open wounds. The smell of your own death causes you to vomit into your own toxic coffin." She leaned in closer while holding Rufus to his face. "Then the rats."

Drakken had paled considerably that his blue skin was nearly white. Shego's green complexion, if anything, was enhanced. Both were equally horrified and disgusted by what they had heard.

"Now a days we can't do something like that. Not with the way people can survey something around the world or just walk into something." Dr. Director spoke as she walked in. "Instead, we're going to take you into a sterile room and put two bullets into the back of your head. No torture. No boring monologue of how you wasted your potential with your evil ways. Just bang-bang, clean and simple."

"Well then yo-you'd be breaking the law!" Dr. Drakken spoke, not able to hide the fear in his voice. "We deserve a trial! A-"

"It'd all be for show." Dr. Director spoke casually. "You publicly declared war on the world. We have more than enough evidence from this and your past crimes to give you the death penalty."

"Unless each of your past attempts were nothing but training attempts for Global Justice to train it's soldiers." Ron offered. "After all, only a genius and a femme fatale could train the best of the best."

"I'll give you some time to think it over."

As the group left the recovering villains they heard a familiar hissing noise. It ushered them to quicken their pace even as Drakken began whimpering in his bed.

"It's back." The blue man cried.

Please. Do not be alarmed. We are about to engage. The Nozzle.

. . .

"That was very impressive, Ron." Dr. Director complimented.

"Thank you, I am to please."

"Then please me." She ordered. Ron froze mid-step and turned an interesting shade of red. Seeing his reaction, Dr. Director rolled her eye but didn't stop moving. "I would be very pleased if you joined Global Justice."

With a kind but firm push, Yori got him moving again.

"You keep asking, you can't make me join can you?" He asked hesitantly.

"No, Ron." She admitted. "You haven't committed any crimes and I have no other legal leverage over you. Even then, a forced soldier would just be a step away from going rogue. I want-I need you to join of your own free will."

"I see." Ron stated before turning and running.

. . .

Once Dr. Director returned to her office, she was greeted with a very smug looking Kim possible.

"There, Ron just proved that he's not a bad guy. I think." Kim stated. She had watched the whole thing on a screen in the office that Wade had hacked for her. "You can stop worrying."

"Actually, I want him even more now." Dr. Director stated.

"What?"

"In less than ten minutes he's turned one of the smartest men and most dangerous women on Earth to the good guys side. Even if they're doing so reluctantly." Dr. Director explained. "He's matched them both mentally and physically and came out on top. Maybe it's luck. Maybe there is something to the Ronfactor. Either way, I want it with me rather than against me."

She did state she wanted willful workers, but she would take what she could get. It wasn't official but she was sure that the two would join her. With Drakken in the labs and Shego in the fields, they were sure to make headway.

"I may be of assistance."

The two turned to see, Yori. The Kunoichi was alone, much to the confusion of Kim and to a lesser extent Dr. Director.

"You can?" The two asked in unison.

Ignoring the redhead, Yori turned to the leader of G.J with a measured face. Her eyes met the leaders before flickering to Kim and back. With a nod of understanding Dr. Director pressed a button that opened a trapdoor underneath Kim. With an indignant shout, Kim was gone to leave the women to speak.

Please. Do not be alarmed. We are about to engage. The Nozzle.

As soon as they weren't under the watchful gaze of The Nozzle.
