I'm trying my best with putting things into view of that time period, but of course it's a bit difficult. But I am trying my best with this. I hope that you guys enjoy this next chapter. Without further ado Chapter 6.

Chapter 6

A dank, dirty port, where the tides had swept together the scum of the Caribbean. Pirate dragged a merchant for sport, firing guns, chasing ladies, and drinking excessive amounts of alcohol.

Jack, Will, and Rose walked through the streets.

Will studied the environment with a dubious expression on his face as Rose stayed close to him even though she looked very masculine in what she wore at that moment keeping her hair hidden underneath a pirate hat.

Rose's brows furrowed as she walked, being very careful of where she stepped.

"More importantly, it is indeed a sad lot that has never breathed deep the sweet proliferous bouquet that is Tortuga, savvy?" Jack took a deep breath of the air. "What do you think?"

Rose shook her head lightly not liking the idea of the place whatsoever.

Will looked around, seeing a two fisted pirate drinking his fill of rum, painted ladies displaying their wares, and a donkey bellowing. "It'll linger."

"I'll tell you mate, if every town in the world were like this one, no man would ever feel unwanted."

A redhead walked up to Jack dressed in a scarlet dress.

"Scarlett !"

Scarlett slapped him hard before stalking off.

"Not sure I deserved that." Jack said muttering to himself. He turned back, just as a smiling blonde wench planted herself in his path. He smiled. "Giselle!"

Giselle pointed after the redhead with a tilt of her head. "Who was she?"

Jack looked after the redhead, then back only to receive another slap and Giselle walked off in anger. "I may have deserved that."

Rose let out a soft laugh shaking her head lightly. "You deserved it."

Jack looked over at Rose with narrowed eyes before turning to walk with the two of them. "We should escape this wretched pit as quickly as possible."

"With a crew …" Will said as he pulled Rose close to him as they walked past a few leering men who were staring at her.

"Ah, yes. Well it just so happens that you know the man who knows the man who knows the finest sailors in all Tortuga."

A drunken man laid in the mud, asleep with three pigs. He wore an old tattered Navy jacket.

Rose blinked a few times recognizing the Navy Jacket.

Suddenly Jack splashed water across the man's face.

The man sputtered and roared. "Curse you for breathing, you slack-jawed idiot!" Suddenly the man recognized Jack. "Mother's love, Jack! You know better than to wake a man when he's sleeping. It's bad luck!"

Rose gasped softly recognizing him.

"Ah, fortunately, I know how to counter it. The man who did the waking buys the man who was sleeping a drink. The man who was sleeping drinks it, while listening to a proposition from the man who did the waking."

"Aye, that'll about do it."

Jack helped Gibbs up to his feet before getting splashed with a second wave of water.

Will held onto the bucket.

"Blast it, I'm already awake!"

"That was for the smell." Will pointed out looking at Gibbs.

Gibbs looked at Will before reconsidering, shrugging his shoulders.

"Mr. Gibbs?" Rose questioned softly.

Gibbs turned, recognizing the voice of the young woman. "Miss Swann?"

Rose came closer revealing herself to the old man. "Yes, Mister Gibbs."

"Blast, what are you doing in this wretched place?"

Rose rubbed the back of her neck shyly. "Elizabeth was taken." She said softly. "I couldn't allow my sister to suffer a terrible fate."

Gibbs swallowed the lump in his throat remembering Elizabeth.

Jack came over to Will and Rose. "Keep a sharp eye!"

Rose took a soft breath as she watched Jack moving over to where Gibbs sat at a table in the shadows. Rose looked at Will. "I have an odd feeling about this whole thing…" She said, pursing her lips together thinly as she looked over nervously to where Jack and Gibbs sat.

Will looked over at Rose seeing her distress. "We'll get Elizabeth back."

Rose looked over to Will with a worried gaze. "You sound so sure of that… those pirates that came and she willingly went with them."

Will looked at her with wide eyes. "How…"

"It's just a feeling that I had…" She looked over to see Jack jerk his head in Will's direction. Her brows furrowed together in worry wondering what Jack was doing.

"You think she willingly went with them…"

"They had to be searching for something…" She shook her head lightly. "I may be overthinking it though…" She admitted softly rubbing her tunic clad arms shyly.

Will suddenly whirled around at the sound of tankards hitting the table hard. He jerked his sword out, kicking over a table searching for an opponent.

"Will what in the world…" She put her hand on his shoulder. "Calm down." She said, rubbing his arm softly. "You're alright… no one is going to hurt me or you. We're safe…."

Will looked at her with wide eyes.

Rose took a soft breath knowing that Will was worried of what would happen to Elizabeth and she didn't blame him in the least bit. She could only hope that she wasn't too late.
