The Librarian knew better. She had a lot of work to do, and very little time to do it in. She and the rest of her world were merely living through the calm before the storm. Everyone knew the War was fast approaching and she had to preserve the celestial archives lest they be lost forever if (when) they were invaded. Nevertheless, she paused in her book when one folder came into view on her display screen.

She knew what the entry contained. She'd it countless times over the centuries after all. The Librarian adored history, particularly the histories of far off galaxies. But one star system in the Milky Way galaxy had particularly gripped her and for centuries she had checked the data entry in the celestial archives, eagerly following the updates and observations their microscopic probes reported back.

Though she knew it was perhaps 'unprofessional' she adored activating the junior narration circuits of the probes, turning dry reports into something with more flare and drama for youngsters. It was helped by the fact that the star system was like something out of the fairy tales she'd consumed as an infant.

With her world on the brink of darkness she knew innocence was a precious commodity, something that needed to be cherished and preserved; including her own inner child. With the corner of her mouth twitching into a smile she pulled up the entry. She blushed a little noticing the incredibly high number at the corner of the display that indicated the number of times she had visited the entry. Her embarrassment was swiftly replaced by excitement when she noticed that there was a new update on the entry! Well, it had been a century or two since she had last checked this entry.

Sitting down and making herself comfortable, the Librarian activated the narration circuits and closed her eyes. Though the entry came with accompanying holograms she preferred to simply listen, to be transported by the archive's words alone

Once upon a time, deep within the Milky Way Galaxy, there existed a shining kingdom that spanned an entire Solar System.

The kingdom was a place of peace and beauty, but also the envy of the forces of darkness. Thankfully they were no match for the defenders of the kingdom, the Sailor Team!

The most powerful Senshi of all were Sailor Pluto, Sailor Saturn, Sailor Neptune and their leader, Sailor Uranus. Together they were the Outer Senshi, the kingdom's shield against enemies beyond their solar system.

However, evil dwelt within the solar system too, thus the task of vanquishing it fell to the Inner Senshi. Though not as powerful as their four comrades, few foes could withstand the might of Sailor Mercury, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mars and their leader, Sailor Venus.

Thanks to the Senshi, and the power of the fabled Silver Crystal, the Queen of the kingdom, Serenity, ruled with love and wisdom, which to her were one and the same thing.

Though the Queen loved every world in her kingdom, she loved the blue planet, Earth, most of all. The only person as dedicated to taking care of the Earth as the Queen Herself was Endymion, the planet's one true protector. But neither took more joy in the beauty of the sapphire world than the Queen's daughter, the pure hearted Princess Serenity.

Alas, the eternal tranquility and beauty of the kingdom were not to last.

One fateful day an wicked army, led by a ruler whose heart was full of dark jealousy and black envy, attacked the kingdom. Many died, the once shining palace fell into ruin, and both the Queen and her daughter were seemingly lost forever. Only with the power of the Silver Crystal were these emmissarries of chaos halted.

But can any kingdom, any people, any ruler, ever truly survive such horrors? Perhaps so.

Such was not the fate of the Silver Millennium, the likes of which shall never be seen again…

The Librarian's eyes were no longer closed. Through her tears she looked up at the final parting hologram. A silver white palace stood shattered, and a beautiful and regal woman with long pigtails that ended in two hair buns lay dead upon a fallen pillar, surrounded by ruins.

Trembling, the Librarian slowly shut down the entry. For several minutes her eyes were consumed by the now dark space where the hologram had been. Then, with a heavy heart, she went on with her work, achingly aware of the setting sun.
