Chapter 10 Aftermath
Its been a month since the Final Pro bending match with the Wolf Bats losing their bending since they were caught cheating and bribing the Ref which forced Sean and Godzilla to take away their bending much to their horror.
And since Amon also attacked the Arena with his Chi blocker gloves that electrocuted everyone it touched.
Godzilla tried to tell Amon the true purpose of bending to make him see the flaw in getting rid of it but he suspected someone set off an explosive to prevent him from telling so he wouldn't be persuaded to abandon his cause.
And of course since Sean and Korra started to date with her helping him heal his wounds of his past mistakes for bringing the Kaiju to Earth 30,000 years ago.
Now however though both were on Fawkes heading to the Arena since it was being shut down after some debate by the council.
"I was kinda hoping this place would stay open for a while longer." Korra said holding Sean from behind.
"Well, you can't blame them for shutting it down. Now that the season is over theres no need to keep it open. Even more so since the attack." Sean said.
"Yeah I guess." Korra said before they landed and went inside.
"I still can't believe they're shutting this place down." Mako said as he and his brother packed up.
"Yeah, we had some good memories here, didn't we?" Bolin said feeling down before the two rushed up.
"Hello." Sean said.
"Guys, great news. You don't have to go back on the streets. I talked to Tenzin and made all the arrangements. You can live on Air Temple Island with us." Korra said.
"Oh...Well, we'd love to, but." Mako tried to say.
"Asami already invited us to live in her dad's giant mansion!" Bolin said excited. "From now on it's going to be the lap of luxury." Bolin said.
"Oh brother. I had that kinda life and I actually wanted work for a living." Sean said.
"What you were rich?" Asami asked coming down.
"More money than you'll ever get. There are perks to having a family of a long line of scientists." Sean said.
"So we'll see you guys later?" Korra asked.
"Sure. Drop by any time." Asami said.
"Yeah sure. We'll drop by later." Korra said as they left.
"Well...I guess this is a good thing for them to be with Asami rather than be with us." Korra said.
"Oh? And why's that?" Sean asked making her smirk.
"Means I get more time with you." Korra said making him smirk before kissing her making her moan.
"I can agree with that." Sean said.
"So did you hear the news? That Cabbage corp was found guilty for working with the Equalists?" Korra asked.
"I very much doubt that." Godzilla said taking over.
"What do you mean?" Korra asked.
"Remember we helped build this city from the ground up when Aang wanted it to be made. This business of that old annoying man who sold cabbages...I doubt his corporation built those gloves. They make...Whats the term? Shoddy at best?" Godzilla asked.
"What are you trying to say?" Korra asked.
"The gloves were high end tech of this Era. The items that company builds are lousy and easily break. The airships are proof enough of that." Godzilla said remembering the first test run years before Aang's passing.
"So what? You think someone else made them and framed them?" Korra asked.
"Think about it. What good items have they ever sold?" Godzilla asked making her frown since that was true.
"Ok fair point. But if thats true why frame them?" Korra asked.
"Possibly to redirect the attention off the real ones who built those gloves...For something even worse." Godzilla said as Sean took over.
"Only time can tell." Sean said as they got on Fawkes and flew off.
Later
Pabu jumped into a pool before Bolin followed.
"Earthbending bomb!" Bolin yelled before Sean and Korra were led in.
"Avatar Korra and Lord Kruger have arrived." A servant said.
"Damn." Sean said impressed. "Reminds me of my home back in my day." Sean said
"The more you say that it makes you sound like an actual old man." Asami said making the others laugh as did Godzilla.
"Hey!" Sean yelled annoyed.
"Glad you guys could make it." Mako said before Bolin came out.
"Welcome to Paradise." Bolin said.
"Coming from a guy who lived on the streets for a while you would say that." Sean said.
"Looks like you guys settled right in." Korra said as she and Sean sat down before she held him close making him smirk.
"Pretty much. Except someone forgot to ask her father if we could stay here." Mako said.
"Sounds like someone expects everything to go her way all the time." Korra teased.
"I smoothed it over with him. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission." Asami said.
"That mostly depends on who's asking and why." Sean said.
"So, what do you have planned for us today? Let me guess, shopping, Makeovers?" Korra asked amused.
"Oh, Oh, I vote makeovers." Bolin said before Mako dunked him.
"He would say that." Godzilla said.
"I have something a little more exciting in mind." Asami said grinning.
"Why do I feel concern?" Godzilla asked making Korra giggle.
Soon all five were outside seeing some race track.
"Now this brings back old memories...Don't you dare call me old." Sean said glaring at Asami making her giggle.
"Way cooler than a makeover." Korra said.
"This is where future Industries test drives their Sato-Mobiles. Ever been behind the wheel?" Asami asked.
"The only thing I know how to drive is a polar bear-dog." Korra said.
"What about you, Sean? Ever been behind the wheel?" Asami asked.
"Yeah. I helped test drive some new vehicles that had some new upgrades." Sean said.
"Care to test drive modern cars?" Asami asked making him grin.
"Korra?" Sean asked making her grin.
Soon both Sean and Korra were in the test vehicle while another was racing them before they drove off.
"You do know how to drive this right?" Korra asked as Sean swerved around a little.
"I haven't driven anything in 30,000 years. But I'll get it." Sean said making her gulp before Sean rammed into the other driver before giving him the finger. "FUCK OFF!" Sean yelled before hitting his back wheels making him spin out of control before Sean cross the finish line.
"Whoo-Hoo!" Korra cheered jumping out.
"That was fun. Kinda reminds me of the racing sports back in the old days." Sean said.
"How many sports did you have back then?" Korra asked.
"A few dozen. Hell Reznov back in those days was a sports prodigy. There was also another who was really into sports but chose to work in the science division as a security advisor." Sean said.
Soon they went back inside before Bolin rushed to the bathroom.
"Is there another bathroom I can use?" Korra asked.
"We have a ladies powder room upstairs. First door on your right." Asami said before Korra rushed up.
After using the bathroom Korra washed her hands before grabbing a beauty product.
Hitting herself with it she coughed as she made a cloud of powder before she rushed out.
"If Your gonna use something like a modern day beauty product...Don't. We didn't even need stuff like that in my day." Sean said.
"Oh yeah? I really hope that times comes again real soon since that was unpleasant." Korra said as Sean blew the stuff off her making her smile.
"No, no, no. Everything is going exactly as planned." Hiroshi said in his office making them raise an eyebrow before they went closer. "Luckily the Cabbage corp investigation has bought us enough time. Trust me, by the end of the week, we'll be ready to strike." Hiroshi said on phone before hanging up making Korra widen her eyes before the two left after telling the others something had come up.
Later
"So you two think Mr. Sato manufactured those gloves for the equalists, then framed cabbage corp?" Tenzin asked Sean and Korra.
"Yes, Something about that call has us rather concerned." Godzilla said.
"Thats a bold accusation. But what proof do you have?" Lin asked.
"I don't think I was talking to the likes of you." Godzilla said glaring at her making her sigh as Sean took over.
"Honestly nothing solid to be brutally honest but the call was suspicious." Sean said.
"Look we know what we heard. Sato is up to something." Korra said.
"Though I fail to see why Sato would get involved with these people. He funded the Fire Ferrets when they needed money and gave a clear statement last month about the attack." Godzilla said.
"Actually..." Lin trailed off. "He does have a motive you might not be aware of." Lin said.
"Thats right." Tenzin said.
"Hmm?" Godzilla asked.
"A motive? Whats that?" Korra asked.
"12 years ago while Sean was training you, the Agni Kai triad robbed Sato's mansion. A firebender killed Sato's wife during the break-in." Tenzin said sadly.
"That's terrible." Korra said as she held Sean close
"It was tragic. It's possible he's been harboring Anti-bending sentiment all this time." Tenzin said.
"Regretfully actions such as these can cause great hatred. Perhaps his views are the same as Amon's to an extent...Or worse" Godzilla said.
"Maybe we should look at Mr. Sato a little more closely." Lin said.
"I'm gonna have to agree." Sean said.
Later
After confronting Hiroshi about what he said he cleared that up by saying he was going to strike the market now that his number one competition was out of the way. Nevertheless they asked to investigate his factories which he completely agreed with.
Of course nothing was found to incriminate Hiroshi to anything.
"I don't get it. We should have found something." Korra said.
"Perhaps Sato was telling the Truth and we just misunderstood the situation." Godzilla said.
"No. The timing and the cause tell me he's involved in this. Be honest how do you feel about him?" Korra asked.
"Hmm. Well...To be honest we had this strange feeling about him. But that doesn't mean he's involved in the likes of criminals. Some people just don't have the nerve to become part of these groups even if they have reason. It's part of Human nature." Godzilla said as Sean took over before walking away as Korra sighed.
Thats when she felt a piece of paper in her hand making her widen her eyes before looking around but only saw the workers leaving before she read it.
"Sean." Korra said gaining his attention. "I think you should see this." Korra said handing him the paper.
"If you want to find the truth, meet me under the north end of the silk road bridge at midnight." Sean read.
Soon the four arrived at the destination before someone came out from under the bridge.
"Listen, I joined the Equalists because I believed in what Amon said. I thought he could make life better for us non-benders. But I didn't sign up for this war."
"What do you have on Hiroshi Sato?" Lin asked.
"He manufactured those gloves for the Equalists."
"I knew it!" Korra said.
"And there are rumors he's working on something even bigger. Some kind of new weapon."
"We searched all of Future industries and found nothing." Tenzin said.
"Thats because he has a secret factory."
"Where?" Korra asked.
"It's right underneath the Sato mansion."
'Something about this feels off.' Godzilla said.
'Yeah. But we need to investigate.' Sean said.
Later
Everyone arrived at Sato's workshop outside to find his secret workshop
"No one here." Sean said looking around before Reznov felt a vibration on where he was standing.
"Curious." Orga said as he and Godzilla kicked the ground before seeing a large dent making them lift the ground up finding a secret passageway
"Do you think your dad knows about this tunnel?" Bolin asked.
"I don't understand. There must be an explanation." Asami said.
"Maybe you don't know everything about your father. I'm sorry." Korra said.
"Officers, into the tunnel." Lin said getting them to do that.
"You guys stay here. We don't know what we're gonna find down there." Sean said as he and Korra went down with the others.
Using the lift they arrived in Hiroshi's secret factory finding Amon's face on flags.
"Hmm. I wonder if he has a large Ego." Godzilla said seeing the Tanks.
"And I'm guessing those are the new weapons." Korra said.
"Not your average backyard workshop." Lin said.
"Yup." Sean said looking at the tanks.
"Hiroshi was lying all right, but where is he?" Tenzin asked before the entrance sealed off.
"And we walked into a trap." Sean said before the tanks turned on.
"Very observant monster." Hiroshi said as they surrounded them.
"You set us up. That source was to lure us down here." Reznov said.
"Guilty as charged. Now why don't you two do the world a favor and DIE!" Hiroshi yelled about to attack them.
Thats when vines came out the ground and attacked him and those in the tanks.
"WHAT!" Hiroshi yelled in shock as they were slammed into the walls and ground hard.
"Figures she would show up so suddenly." Reznov said before a Titan that had a plant body and reptilian face appeared and roared at Hiroshi.
"Another Titan?" Korra asked.
"Biollante." Sean said as Biollante roared at the Equalists before shrinking down to human size showing a blue version of the gear Sean and Reznov had on before removing her hood. She had white skin brown hair in a pony tail and brown eyes with glasses on.
"Hey Julia." Reznov said making her grin at them.
"Figures I just show up to save your sorry ass." Julia said.
"Hey we can handle this perfectly fine." Sean said.
"Oh I very much doubt that." Biollante said before they faced Hiroshi and the Equalists who got out.
"I understand your hatred towards Benders because of what happened 12 years ago but you and Amon are taking this too far." Sean said.
"Oh its not Benders I hate...It's you and the Titans." Hiroshi said surprising them.
"Us? What did we do?" Reznov asked.
"YOU GAVE THE POWER OF BENDING! How many people have suffered because of you! How many wars?" Hiroshi asked.
"Look. We gave people the power of bending but we had a good reason." Sean said trying to explain the situation to him.
"SAVE YOUR LIES! You gave the power of bending to make people suffer! You say you Titans care about mankind! Where were you when we truly needed you!" Hiroshi asked.
"Maybe you're not paying attention. But the War exhausted most of the Titans greatly. Only those who had Titans sealed within could do something about the suffering of mankind. We trained noble leaders to at least try to make life easier on mankind over the years. Then the Avatar came and I trained nearly every one of them since near the beginning." Godzilla said.
"And what good has that done! Nothing! You monsters are the source of so much suffering! Amon may believe your lies about leading us to greatness but I will not be so easily deceived. The Time has come for Mankind to rule itself and for your kind to be put down like the filthy monsters you are! And I will do it myself!" Hiroshi yelled.
"DAD STOP!" Asami yelled shocking him as he faced her. "Why?" Asami asked.
"Sweetie...I wanted to keep you out of this as long as I could. These monsters are the source of everything wrong in this world. They ruined the world by giving the power of bending to people. But with Amon we can make things right and put them down. Every last one of them!" Hiroshi yelled.
"You don't know what you're doing! Theres a reason we gave that power. We didn't have a choice. If we didn't give the power of the elements..." Orga tried to say.
"QUIET! I won't listen to your lies! You brought 30,000 years of suffering. And I'm willing to bet that so called age of greatness is nothing more than another filthy lie! I will make sure you are all put down for good! THAT IS MY PROMISE!" Hiroshi roared.
"Dad." Asami yelled before the place began to explode.
"THE WHOLE PLACE IS COMING DOWN!" Julia yelled before some of the Debris blocked her from getting Lin's officers who the Equalists captured.
"Asami, please join me and we can avenge your mother. We'll kill every last Titan that exists and make sure only man rules this planet." Hiroshi said making her glare.
"I'm not going to join a real monster like you." Asami said shocking him. "I'm gonna stop you. If you can't accept the Titans are good...You're worse than the men who killed mom." Asami said as the whole place cam down before Godzilla wrapped himself around all of them to protect them from the rubble.
Later
The ground began to shake before Godzilla and the other Titans came out and roared before Godzilla placed everyone else down as Sean and the others took control.
"You ok?" Korra asked.
"I'll live." Sean said cracking his neck.
"Hiroshi is blinded by rage he will not accept logic that is not his own. He's become mad." Godzilla said.
"Though we can't blame him. The loss of one you love effects you in many ways...Depending on the person in question." Orga said.
"Indeed. But perhaps there is hope for him." Godzilla said as Sean took over.
"So...Does that offer you guys made still stand?" Mako asked making them smile.
"Do you really need to ask?" Sean asked.
"And Asami your welcome to stay too." Korra said making her smile as she hugged her.
"Thank you." Asami said as Sean looked out at the city.
'Theres nothing you could possible say to Hiroshi to change his mind. His anger blinds him.' Godzilla said.
'But maybe Amon might listen. If we can tell him the truth...He might call all this off and realize that better to have Bending that prevents the Kaiju from coming through than having them come through by the hundreds again.' Sean said as Korra held him close making him smile as he kissed her.
"It's gonna be ok." Korra said.
"As Long as I have you...Yes...It will be." Sean said making her smile.
Authors Note: So Hiroshi blames the Titans for giving the power of bending to mankind seeing them as the source of all the world's suffering over the last 30,000 years. And he wants to kill them all.
