Chapter 30 Ancient History
It's been a week since the war in the South to stop Unalaq and Vaatu.
And since the First Godzilla not only stopped Unalaq and Vaatu but forever destroyed Vaatu from returning having been the one who created him.
And since then the world was starting to return to the old ways.
Now that a large number of Titans had awakened to fight in the war it also meant that they could lead the old cities they once led 30,000 years ago.
After the war Zilla was placed in charge of the South as his City he once led was being rebuilt using the Matrix.
And Tonraq and Senna moved into Unalaq's old palace having been given it after the truth was out.
As for the North though the Titans decided to place Yonggary in charge to get them back on the right track as his city would soon be rebuilt as well.
Of course Eska and Desna claimed they had a right to lead the South since they were the Chief's children but after the war they lost their status and privileges since no one trusted them anymore.
This of course angered them espcially Desna since he still hated the Titans for ruining his face despite the fact it was his father's fault that happened.
And of course Raiko took a major blow to his image after word got out he would support Unalaq to kill the Titans and had Mark make the weapons he presented to kill them using the Matrix.
Now that people of Titan city knew he had no actual power he was pretty much ignored by all.
Still in his mind he believed he had power. (I always say he's gonna get worse and worse with each new story)
And also the Spirit portals were kept open.
While Korra wanted to close them to spite Unalaq for everything he did to her and her family she knew that with the Titans coming back the Spirits should also come back as well.
Sean and the others completely agreed with her since now that Vaatu was gone forever the spirits would no longer be corrupted from his evil.
Right now Sean and Korra were in their home in Titan City.
"Oh god!" Sean said changing Junior who laughed. "Boy what did you eat?" Sean asked finishing him up making Korra laugh.
"The one downside to having kids when they're babies is changing them." Korra said breast feeding Hitomi
"Yeah. But it's worth it." Sean said as he held Junior close as he fell asleep.
"Yeah." Korra said as Hitomi finished and yawned making her smile.
Soon everyone else arrived to hang out.
After Varrick was found guilty Asami got control of her company again which was pretty much running on its own thanks to special AI's that handled everything.
As for Mako he was taking a break from the police since he still had issues after being put in jail despite having actually done his job right.
As for Bolin...He was letting the fame of his movie go to his head.
"Would you two like a Nuktuk suit?" Bolin asked the twins before David and Sean hit him in the head. "OW!" Bolin yelled making the twins laugh.
"Dude I swear to the original Titans you're getting on my nerves. You're movie sucked!" Sean said.
"No kidding. The old original movie about me when screens were black and white was ten times better." Godzilla said remembering the original very well.
"I'm gonna agree on that." David said.
"Aw man." Bolin whined as the Twins laughed as Asami held Junior while Korra held Hitomi.
"Speaking of original Titans why didn't you ever mention Godzilla and the Titans of Today aren't the original?" Asami asked.
"You didn't ask and I thought it was obvious they weren't the original. Besides that ancient history that wasn't known even in my era." Sean said.
"It wasn't?" Mako asked.
"Nope. I didn't know about that until after I fought Vaatu the first time 30,000 years ago shortly after the war." Sean said.
"How'd that go?" Korra asked.
"Well..." Sean said.
Flashback 30,000 years ago
Vaatu yelled as he was forced against the tree of Time by Sean who used simple waterbending.
"Is that the best you got?" Sean asked making him laugh. "Whats so fucking funny?" Sean asked.
"You...I lived for countless years...Created by the very first Godzilla." Vaatu said.
'The hell he's talking about?' Sean asked.
'I'll explain that one later. Just ignore him he's always running his mouth.' Godzilla said.
"And yet...I have never once managed to do what you have...You destroyed the golden era of the Titans...By a mere accident no less...It's hilarious. 20 billion lives lost in two years...Because of you. Too bad I didn't find you before the war. We could have been partners." Vaatu said making him growl before creating water serpents who roared.
"BEGONE!" Sean roared as they destroyed him easily.
"Do not listen to his words. Your actions were accidental and never intentional of the outcome that happened. No one should be punished for something they never intended to happen like you." Raava said.
"Maybe not. But that blood is still on my hands." Sean said.
'Actions can be redeemed given time. And you have an eternity to do so...And perhaps in time find another love to fill the void left behind.' Godzilla said.
"That last one I doubt." Sean said.
Present
"And yet I stand corrected on it." Sean said holding Korra close making her smile.
"So you fought Vaatu once?" Asami asked.
"Actually twice. First time myself second time with David and Turok without any effort. And then we were asleep during when Wan fought him and became the first Avatar. Though I suppose his actions did have some good outcomes later in life since it led to this." Sean said looking at Korra and the twins making her smile.
"One last thing. The original Godzilla. If he's so powerful how come he didn't wipe out the Kaiju?" Asami asked.
"It's not that simple. He can't just come out whenever he feels like it. If we had lost the war sure he would have shown up and stopped them for good. But that didn't happen since we sealed the breach. So he didn't get the chance to come out." Godzilla said.
"Add to the fact is he left it in his hands made it clear he had faith he could handle anything." Sean said.
"But he did created Raava and Vaatu right?" Mako asked.
"Aye. And the entire spirit world." Sean said shocking them.
"He created the spirit world?" Korra asked.
"Yup. A world connected to another world. It was a test of his new found power after the original Titan War. When the dust cleared he had killed every last Titan from his era and absorbed their power into him. When the war was over he became larger as you saw him last week. And then he recreated the Titans as they were during his era. And then created new life as well." Godzilla said.
"Wait there was other life before humans?" Bolin asked.
"Well, duh. Dinosaurs existed long before mankind and then other ancient species before them. There have been billions of species on this planet since the war. All created by him. It was his way of letting life find its own path. Of course Godzilla and the other Titans didn't really do much during their time other than simply watch from a distance. Then extinction level events played out and new life came." Sean said.
"And then Humans were created and I was the first to see the potential they had. Was I wrong?" Godzilla asked looking outside at Titan City.
"Nope." Korra said as the Twins laughed.
"Of course like you all know not all of us felt the same way. Zorc was the one who convinced the other Titans we fought last week to toy with them like they were nothing. That didn't sit well with any of us and led to a ten year war in which we won." Godzilla said.
"Why did he hate Humans so much?" Asami asked.
"No reason at all. He just loved toying with them like a child does to bugs. I tried to convince him and the others Humanity could do great things under our rule. He knew and agreed...He just didn't care and those who followed him did the same." Godzilla said.
"So why didn't the original stop them?" Mako asked.
"It's not complicated. He can't intervene in every affair in the world. Only ones like last week. Since he created Vaatu and was enraged by what he was going to do he couldn't do nothing." Godzilla said.
"And now we no longer need to worry about him ever coming back." Turok said.
"I'll be honest. It will actually be unusual to not ever see him ever again after countless years." Raava said appearing on Korra's chest.
"How did your fights with him even start?" Korra asked.
"When King Godzilla never showed up again he figured he could do as he pleased and when the first convergence began he thought he could win easily. However Godzilla and all the other Titans stopped him and destroyed him. It was then we learned he would grow back inside me and our battles would begin again after 10,000 years." Raava said.
"How many fights have you two had?" Asami asked.
"I've lost track. But I think it's in the hundred thousands." Godzilla said.
"It is." Raava said vanishing.
"So what are you guys gonna do about Raiko now that its been made public he has no actual power even though he thinks he does." Mako asked.
"Nothing. Just let his term run out and then kick him out of the City. He's no threat to us. He can make all the threats he wants but without the will of the people he's got nothing. He's one of the only few here who don't support the Titans. Adding him, Hiroshi and Mark." Sean said.
"Speaking of Mark what did you do when you found out Raiko hired him to make those weapons?" Asami asked.
"Went to his cell and beat the ever living crap out of him." Sean said smirking making Korra giggle.
"I don't understand why you don't just kill him." Mako said.
"For one I want him to suffer longer knowing he's been beaten by me and knowing he'll live out the rest of his days in prison until the day he dies from age. To some people they say the Dead don't suffer. In a sense thats true. But in his case he'll want to savior his remaining days before being cast into hell to be tortured or worse go though something similar to what Unalaq is going through." Sean said.
"What could be worse than that?" Korra asked.
"Almost anything." Sean said before Hitomi started coughing.
"You ok honey?" Korra asked as someone was banging on the door.
"Now what?" Sean asked going to answer it and opened the door before Raiko was seen with security robots making him glare. "What do you want now?" Sean asked as he barged in again.
"I'm here to put those abominations you call children down. As president of the soon to be named Raiko City I can do whatever I please." Raiko said.
"What part of you were never in charge do you not get? Are you so twisted in your head you can't accept the truth or are you just mad for power?" Sean asked as Hitomi started coughing harder making him concerned as he held her head. "Whats wrong honey?" Sean asked.
"Your lies won't deceive me. I am the president and I will do what I please. And what I please is to kill those brats. Now they will die." Raiko said before Hitomi's mouth glowed shocking the parents before she breathed Atomic breath at Raiko's face making him yell in shock as he flew backwards.
Hitomi yawned with her cough gone.
"Whoa! I did not see that one coming." Korra said.
"Well, seems she did inherit some of my powers after all. Does this make me her father as well?" Godzilla asked amused making everyone laugh.
Raiko screamed seeing his hair was burned off including his eyebrows making everyone burst out laughing.
"HA! Serves you right ya jerk!" David yelled pounding the table.
"GRRR! Thats it! Grab her! And kill her!" Raiko ordered his machines.
"Negative. You do not have authority to request termination of individual."
"I AM THE PRESIDENT OF RAIKO CITY!" Raiko roared.
"You are not the president. Files show you never were in charge of Titan City. New orders updated."
The Robots grabbed Raiko and dragged him out.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Raiko yelled in shock.
"Orders from Chief Beifong. You are under arrest for attempted murder."
Raiko screamed as he was dragged out.
"You sure you wanna wait till his term is up?" Mako asked.
"Like I said he's harmless. Everyone knows now he has no authority to do anything along with all the machines. He can't even pay anyone to do anything since he doesn't have authority and his access codes have been changes. He's completely harmless now." Sean said.
"Still let's keep a close eye on him just to be on the safe side." Korra said as Hitomi breathed normally making her smile while Junior yawned as she kissed them both.
"Fair enough. I'll have Lin keep a close eye on him and warn us if he tries anything again." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Raiko yelled as he was in a cell and tried to get out but the electric wall kept him in.
"You'll be in this cell for the next seven months." Lin said.
"Chief Beifong! I order you to open this cell. I am the president!" Raiko yelled.
"You really can't get it through your head can you? You were never the president. It was all a test and you failed and proved man can't lead others. Have you even tried to focus on the needs of the people?" Lin asked.
"Who cares about insignificant people? Only my needs matter. And I want the Titans and those brats dead!" Raiko yelled making her roll her eyes before walking away.
"Idiot." Lin said.
Authors Note: Yeah not much but I felt like writing something simple and easy since the last Chapter royally kicked my ass. Now Next Chapter on the other hand will be more exciting and full of some fights and not between Kaiju I might add.
