Chapter 33 A breath of Fresh Air
Its been a month Since David brought back his old show with Sean and the others part of it.
And since he proposed to Asami vie fireworks much to everyones amusement.
Now everything was getting interesting.
Last week Spirit vines started showing up in the City which wasn't unexpected.
Now the Titans just had to restore the old ways with the spirits.
Of course though Raiko now out again was trying to start trouble again by stating the Spirits like the Titans Should be destroyed but like every other time he had no support whatsoever.
So for now the Titans were doing everything they could to make life comfortable.
And of course some other things had occurred.
Asami had upgraded the Tanks for construction purposes to help expand the City some more since she felt they could do some good.
And Mako went back to the Police after Lin made some deals with him such as increased pay since he did his job better than most.
And finally the last of the criminal element in the City was hunted down and now the City was crime free.
Which to everyone was good since now they no longer had to worry about their safety.
Now however though.
Sean laughed as he held Hitomi in the air as she giggled.
"Life is good huh honey?" Sean asked making her laugh as he threw her up and caught her making her laugh.
"Honestly you two." Korra said feeding Junior.
"What? Life is back to the old ways in my day." Sean said.
"Seriously you gotta stop saying that. It makes you sound old." Korra said.
"I am old." Sean said.
"But you look young and saying stuff like that actually makes you sound the part." Korra said.
"Ok fair enough." Sean said handing Hitomi to her making her smile as she yawned in her mother's arm.
"So what are you gonna do now?" Korra asked.
"Godzilla and I gotta get all those spirit vines out of the City. They'll listen without question." Sean said.
"All right. We're gonna head to Air Temple Island. We'll meet you there when you're done. But try to be careful." Korra said.
"From what? Raiko? He can't harm a fly. He can't use the Matrix since he's been locked out. And he can't pay anyone to harm the Twins. And he can't use the security bots to do what he did last time. I'll be fine." Sean said making her smile as she kissed him.
"If you say so." Korra said as she walked out.
'Lets get this over with.' Godzilla said.
Meanwhile
Bumi was chasing his Spirit friend before climbing a tree.
"If you don't wanna wear the sweater I made you, Thats fine. I'm sorry I got mad." Bumi said climbing towards him but he flew away. "I'm running out of tree here." Bumi said before it began to break.
"Oh boy." Bumi said before it broke making him scream moving his arms around like crazy before he shockingly airbended.
"What? I'm airbending!" Bumi yelled before crashing down. "Ow. That was not fun."
Meanwhile
Godzilla in his larger form walked to the spirit vines seeing several spirits.
"Oy! All of you. This is a residential district. You know the rules. Your vines go outside the City. You lot can stay in but the vines can't." Godzilla said.
"Aw. But big guy..." A smaller one tried to say.
"I don't wanna hear it. You know the rules. Both sides have to be treated equally. That means you respect the human district. Now go." Godzilla said making them whine as the vines began to move out of the district.
"Well, this is going smoother than I thought." Tenzin said as he and his daughter were with him and Turok.
"Yes, They'll listen to me without question. Mothra is more understanding to them but I lay down the law with them since I need everyone treated equally." Godzilla said as Sean took control and shrunk to his body.
"Ah. Most of the vines are out of the way but..." Sean tried to say.
"GET OUT THE CITY!" Ichi yelled from another part of the City as the Vines ran off.
"Some of them are being difficult." Sean said.
"We knew there would be some issues when the spirits when Korra decided to let the portals remain open." Tenzin said.
"Yes, thats true. Now I gotta face the press about letting them know the vines will be leaving soon enough." Sean said using Water to rush to the location they were at.
While the press was waiting for Sean to give them the news Raiko was trying to stir up trouble as usual still thinking he was president.
"Don't you all realize that the Titans made all this nonsense happen? We need to stop seeing them as heroes and saviors and see them for the monsters we are. We should be going to war against all of them!" Raiko yelled making people boo him which made him growl as Sean arrived and splashed him making him spit out water.
"Lord Kruger, Are the Vines going to interfere with Public Safety?"
"No, Listen. The Vines are only here because the portals just opened up. Nothing more. The Titans and Spirits have an understanding. They leave humans alone as long as their sacred ground is protected. In time things will go back to the old ways and both sides will coexist peacefully." Sean said making them applaud as Raiko growled since he wanted them to support him and his ambition.
"NO! Don't you all realize he..." Raiko tried to say.
"Shut up. You're lucky you're not dead because of the stunts you pulled. Like trying to murder my kids just because they have Titan Powers." Sean said making People boo at Raiko even more making him growl. "You only prove the Titans point. Mankind cannot lead since that power corrupts them. Not to mention selfish agendas. You say the Titans are abominations and yet they made all this possible. You would want mankind to go back to pointless war again?" Sean asked.
"I don't care if the human race destroyed the Earth! If it means destroying those things I'm fine with it no matter what damage came from those actions!" Raiko yelled making people yell at him in anger which enraged him.
"The only reason you're still in that little fake office of yours is because your only proving our point more and more. So as long as you keep proving the point that man can't lead you'll remain. And when your term is up...You'll be facing judgment and the position will never be brought up again." Sean said making him growl as he tried to slug him but Sean tripped him making him crash down.
"Idiot." Lin said as Raiko stomped off.
"So thinking about retirement? Soon the police won't be needed as much." Sean said making her scoff.
"Hardly. I ain't retiring any time soon." Lin said.
"Don't be so sure. Might give you time to spend with your sister." Sean said making her frown. "Oh come on. You can't seriously keep holding that incident against her. That was 30 years ago." Sean said.
"How do you know about that?" Lin asked.
"She told me. She said she felt bad about it and she has changed. How do you think she leads her people so good? She took responsibility for her actions. If you two don't make up soon you'll be like me and Sarah. Living years in regret." Sean said making her sigh.
"I know." Lin said as Sean left.
Later
Korra and the others were on Air Temple island enjoying a nice meal when Sean walked in.
"Hey Honey." Korra said as he kissed her before sitting down.
"What in the world is he doing?" Godzilla asked seeing Bumi trying to do something.
"He says he Airbended earlier. But he hasn't done it yet." Korra said shrugging.
"I gotta say, I love being a part of this family. You got the grumpy dad, the wacky uncle. The put-Upon mom, Crazy kids. This is great." Bolin said. (I never really considered it that way until this)
"Where is Mako?" Sean asked.
"Oh he's working on his police job. Been doing it non stop." Asami said as David held her close much to his brother's amusement.
"Did you see that? I think the napkin moved." Bumi said.
"You blew on it." Kya said annoyed.
"Maybe I can only do it when my life is in danger." Bumi said.
"Oh cut it out. You're not an airbender. The Titans haven't even come close to giving new Airbending powers yet." Sean said.
"When's that gonna start?" Korra asked as Hitomi reached for her father making her smile as she handed her to him.
"About a few years." Sean said.
"Maybe Bolin could bend some boulders at me." Bumi said.
"How many times have you hit your head?" Turok asked.
"Too many times to count." Tenzin said.
"Only a few times!" Bumi yelled before Meelo threw a plate at him making him gasp before waving his hands around before he actually airbent it.
"I TOLD YOU!" Bumi yelled as everyone was beyond shocked.
"What?" Godzilla asked in shock.
"How?" Sean asked in shock.
"Unbelievable. Your actually an Airbender." Tenzin said.
"Wait until I tell mom! She's gonna love this!" Bumi yelled as the plate dropped and broke. "Sorry." Bumi said.
Later
Now Bumi was trying to do it again but nothing was happening.
"Why can't I figure this thing out?" Bumi asked.
"Do you think being in the spirit world during the convergence made him an Airbender?" Korra asked Godzilla who shook his head.
"No. Thats not it. The only ones who can give bending to anyone is us." Godzilla said.
"Well, something is up." Sean said.
"I have been noticing a change in your aura lately." Kya said.
"And you didn't tell me?" Bumi asked making her glare before Lin and Mako walked to them.
"Invisible spirit monster attack?" Lin asked.
"Not even remotely close." Sean said.
"You won't believe this. Bumi started airbending." Tenzin said making her widen her eyes.
"Then he's not the only one." Lin said.
"Meaning?" Destroyah asked.
"I got a call about a guy who was airbending and saw it with my own eyes." Mako said.
"You mean theres another one?" Tenzin asked.
"Yup." Mako said.
"Ok Now I'm really confused. What in the world is going on? Only we can give people the power of bending. Nothing else can." Godzilla said.
"Hmm." Mothra said tapping her fingers.
"What is it?" Rodan asked.
"This is just a theory but it might make a lot of sense." Mothra said.
"What Theory?" Godzilla asked.
"During the past convergences we easily defeated Vaatu before they began and left. This time around however though we were inside the spirit world when it happened. Maybe when that happened our energies spread all over the world creating new Benders." Mothra said.
"Or?" Ichi asked.
"Or perhaps the convergence awakened the powers of those who are descendants of the original Airbenders." Mothra said.
"Hmm. That last one does hold more logic than the first. It is possible these new Airbenders are the bloodline of the originals." Godzilla said.
"And technically speaking Bumi is the son of an airbender by birth. So it stands to reason his power has awakened." Orga said.
"If thats the case new airbenders will begin to show up in large numbers. Meaning...The barrier will begin to stabilize." Godzilla said.
"And the Kaiju won't come through anymore?" Korra asked.
"Exactly. Meaning we can finally focus on fully rebuilding our old cities." Godzilla said.
"And rebuild the Air nation." Tenzin said.
"Yes, but not the way you heard from your father. While I believe in many of their ways there are some I think is in need of change. Specifically the ones where the parents don't know their children. That one is not coming back. And like everywhere else the old cities will be rebuilt." Godzilla said.
"All I wish to see is the Air nation back. No matter what new changes there are." Tenzin said.
"Good. Now I suggest finding this new airbender." Godzilla said.
Later
Korra smiled as she put Hitomi to bed next to her brother as both were sound asleep as she kissed them both.
Walking outside she saw Sean on a chair with a drink in hand.
"Thinking about the old days?" Korra teased making him chuckle.
"Your not gonna let that go are ya?" Sean asked.
"Nope." Korra said sitting on his lap. "What is it?" Korra asked.
"Things are finally going back to the way they used to be 30,000 years ago. I have been looking forward to this for a long time." Sean said making her smile.
"I know. And with the new Airbenders the barrier will finally be back to the way it was before the hundred year war and the Kaiju will never be able to come back." Korra said.
"Yup." Sean said taking a drink before noticing the look on her face. "Whats up?" Sean asked.
"I've been doing a lot of thinking since Unalaq was stopped and Vaatu was erased from existence." Korra said.
"For the old you that wouldn't be a smart idea." Sean said making her smack his chest making him laugh. "I'm kidding. What about?" Sean asked.
"I'm thinking its coming pretty close to the world no longer needing me anymore." Korra said making him raise an eyebrow.
"What are you trying to say?" Sean asked.
"I'm thinking of separating Raava from myself when the world finally goes back to the way it was." Korra said surprising him.
"You sure about that?" Sean asked.
"Sean...The world doesn't need me anymore. The Titans are almost all back. The Cities are coming back. Crime is near nonexistent right now. The world is almost like it was before the war." Korra said. "And besides...I have everything I need right here." Korra said holding him close making him smile.
"I want you to think on before you do decide to act though. Even though its true that the old ways are coming back...There could be threats in the future that will need you." Sean said.
"He's right. As long as Mark and Hiroshi are alive we must be prepared. Until they die from age...It's better to be safe." Godzilla said.
"I know. Just saying some time in the future...Not now. Besides even if I did separate from Raava I would still have all four elements." Korra said.
"True." Sean said thats when Bolin rushed to them.
"Mako Just called. The cops found the new airbender guy. But when they tried to bring him in, He ran away and climbed to the top of Kyoshi bridge and he won't come down." Bolin said before seeing the two. "Oh did I interrupt a good thing?" Bolin asked.
"Not really. Let's move." Sean said.
Soon the couple on Fawkes arrived on Kyoshi bridge before seeing Lin's officers trying to get the New Airbender down.
Korra with the Twins in hand saw this before Sean kissed her.
"I got this." Sean said waterbending up to the guy.
"You seem to be in a good mood." Tenzin said making her smile as she held Hitomi close as she cooed.
"Yeah...Life is gonna be good soon." Korra said as Sean came back down with the guy.
"So this is the deal now? We have a new crisis every other day now because of you?" Raiko asked walking to them.
"Buzz off." Sean said.
"When are you gonna get it through your thick head? You're not in charge. And no one else has a problem with whats going on. The Spirits are here to stay." Korra said.
"I am the president and you can't lie to me. And you know who's not here to stay? YOU! You and your bastard husband have caused nothing but trouble since you both arrived!" Raiko yelled.
"And how have we caused trouble? Is it our fault Hiroshi went insane and killed millions when clearly he needed help? Was it our fault Unalaq tried to take over the world? No. We stopped them and you did nothing. And you have no power whatsoever. Never have and never will. So you can't say we don't have a right to live in MY city." Sean said making him growl.
"Now get lost." Korra said.
"Monster loving whore!" Raiko yelled trying to grab one of the Twins when something came out of the water making him gasp as Togera came out and roared at him.
"You are getting on our nerves. One more incident and you can kiss your life goodbye. That is a promise! NOW BE GONE!" Togera roared.
"And to make you suffer some more." Godzilla said making a large Water Serpent that roared before it charged right at Raiko's home and destroyed it making him roar in horror. "Now get lost!" Godzilla yelled as they walked away.
"Maybe some time away from the City would do us some good.
"Agreed. And I think we should spend our time looking for new Airbenders." Sean said.
"Don't think I'm not coming with you two." Tenzin said making them smile. "It's so exciting. Who knows who's out there right now, Discovering the joys of airbending." Tenzin said. (You had to fucking say it)
Meanwhile
Up in the mountains was a remote prison cell.
Inside this cell was non other than Zaheer who remained in this cell for 15 long years since Sean when he knew him as Ghost defeated him and the others.
Thats when his Cell was opened up by the White Lotus before the Leader walked in.
"Hello, Zaheer." The Leader said.
"Well, I never expected the honorable leader of the White Lotus to visit me. Did Ghost tell you to visit me?" Zaheer asked.
"The one you call Ghost is actually known as Sean Asburn Kruger. And he's Godzilla's host."
"Is he now?" Zaheer asked.
"In any event we're letting you go." The Leader said.
"Why's that?" Zaheer asked.
"We know you'll go right after the Avatar again. Giving us a reason to capture you. Doing so will give us an accomplishment and prevent us from being disbanded by the Titans since they do not appreciate our greatness. And they let Kruger live despite the fact he brought the Kaiju here. So now we need to make some accomplishment or our order will be disbanded and I won't allow that. You're free to go after the Avatar but we'll capture you soon enough." The Leader said making Zaheer chuckle. "Whats so funny?"
"You really think thats gonna work? The White Lotus is a shell of its former self. You made that possible when you took charge. Iroh however made it into something great. You however care only about image and reputation unlike him. And what makes you think you'll capture me again?" Zaheer asked.
"Your a non-bender. It'll be easy to capture you."
"Think again." Zaheer said before actually airbending them out before he rushed out.
"BUT...You're not an airbender!"
"Nature is changing like the Wind. I appreciate you letting me out. But know this...Your order is finished and The Titans have the right idea of disbanding it. When they hear you let me out...You'll be finished." Zaheer said before jumping down with his new Airbending skills.
The Leader looked on in horror seeing everything backfired so quickly. (Thats putting it mildly)
Authors Note: Oh good lord. So this time around The White Lotus LET Zaheer out to recapture him so they could avoid being disbanded. Only it backfired beyond words since they didn't expect him to be an Airbender and now he's on the loose again. And now we go looking for new Airbenders.
