A/N: This story is set during Sailor Moon Act 7.
Mamoru held the handkerchief closer to his eye.
Caressing the fabric with his thumb, he found himself suddenly transported.
He was surrounded by light and beautiful music. A soft hand was clasped in his own, another placed upon his shoulder. He was leading her in a waltz.
He was watching her eyes flutter open in his bedroom.
His lips were tingling at the touch of her hair as they stood in the doorway.
Returning to reality he examined the handkerchief more closely.
He wondered where she'd gotten it. Perhaps her mother given it to her?
Inevitably he fixated upon the winking bunny face. Did Sailor Moon, or should he say Usagi, sew it on when she'd entered middle school?
He desperately wanted to know. He wanted to know everything about her.
One thing he did know was that the cutesy item suited her well. The thought made him smile.
Mamoru tucked the handkerchief away. He could return it now of course. But he wanted an excuse to see her another day.
He wanted to see his Usako again.
