Chapter 45 Moving forward
Its been a few days since the so called Coronation with Wu losing his status in less than a minute.
Mostly because he abused his power to try and have Korra's kids killed thinking without them she would be swooned to his side. (Idiot)
So for now Kuvira would remain in charge of the Earth Kingdom until Godzilla returned to set things right.
So for now everyone was mostly enjoying an easy life for now.
Sean chuckled as he was being attacked by his kids if you could call it that.
Korra seeing all this giggled as she was making some breakfast for the kids.
"Get off me!" Sean yelled before using Waterbending to snatch them making them yell as they were placed in their seats at the table making them laugh.
"Honestly you kids. You're more like me when I was your age." Korra said giving them their food.
"In some ways thats a good thing. Means they can actually enjoy a normal life." Sean said making her giggle before he pulled up a holographic screen looking into something real quick.
"What are you even doing?" Korra asked.
"Looking into Kuvira's acts. She may have stabilized the whole kingdom but her tactics are what concern me. And more importantly I find it concerning that when some of these areas were doing fine before she arrived they started to destabilize after she arrived." Sean said.
"You think she may have pressured them into joining her?" Korra asked.
"I wouldn't dismiss it so casually. If so she broke the rules of our agreement." Sean said.
"How did that agreement start anyway? You didn't ask me to attend that meeting." Korra said.
"I thought it was something that didn't require both of us there. Seeing how Zaheer screwed everything up we needed someone to stabilize the Kingdom. Without a proper leader the Titans are disorganized. They do fine in their own cities since they know what they're doing. But they don't want history to repeat is the problem." Sean said.
"What are you talking about?" Korra asked.
"Early on during when the Titans led mankind and when they first started to build Titan City another Titan suggested that the humans should have different Titans leaders with different rules. At the time the idea was new since the human race was small in number going on about a couple thousand at the time. This Titan was a flying type believed he could spot out any dangers ahead. When he was leading a couple hundred humans to a place he believed would be perfect." Sean said.
"But something went wrong didn't it?" Korra asked.
"More than you could imagine. The second they all arrived they were all attacked by what was left of the skull crawlers. He was so shocked by what happened he didn't know what to do. Fortunately Godzilla and Kong had been following them and stopped them before any humans were killed and killed off the last remaining Skull crawlers. It was made clear that there must always be a leader who knows what he or she is doing to prevent situations like that from happening. Thats why they didn't act when the whole kingdom was in chaos out of fear they might make a mistake in which more lives were lost. Sometimes it's better to do nothing than do something that could end up making things worse." Sean said.
"When you put it like that I actually agree." Korra said.
"But back to the matter at hand. I think Kuvira might try to take her old home to finally complete her control. I can't allow that." Sean said.
Later
"You really think she'd invade Metal City?" Tenzin asked.
"I don't think I know. The other Titans have shown concern about her actions for months now." Sean said.
"He's not wrong. Before he showed up again Kai and I were going to deliver some supplies to one of the states. Only to get attacked by some thugs who had some high tech equipment. Before that Kuvira tried to have the State turned over to her but the old man wouldn't do it. He was forced to after that though." Sarah said.
"Meaning she's using underhanded tactics to get these people to serve her." Turok said.
"I'm going to Metal City to have them prepared." Sean said.
"I'm coming to." Korra said before Jinora and her siblings stepped up.
"Ok. Turok keep an eye on the kids would ya?" Sean asked.
"Sure. It would be fun corrupting them." Turok said making Destroyah chuckle before Sean punched him on top of the head. "OW! What did I do?" Turok asked.
Later
Leaving the kids with Turok and the others Sean, Korra and the airbending kids were on Jinora's Bison Pepper heading to Metal City.
"So what are you gonna do when we get there and Kuvira shows up?" Ikki asked.
"Whatever I have to. If she tries to take Metal City Kong and the others will back me up and take her army down." Sean said.
"Won't that mean everything she's done will go back to the way they used to be?" Jinora asked concerned.
"Maybe. But I can't let her do as she pleases anymore." Sean said.
"Uh guys?" Meelo said getting thier attention as they saw Metal City with Kong and the other Titans blocking Kuvira's army from taking it as Kong roared at them.
"Damnit! We didn't make it in time." Sean said.
Walking into Suyin's office they saw her and her family.
"Sean? Korra? What are you two doing here?" Suyin asked surprised.
"I had a feeling Kuvira might try to pull something. Whats going on?" Sean asked.
"She's demanded that Metal City be placed under her control. When that happened Kong threw her out and disowned her as his student. Seemed to piss her off pretty bad." Suyin said.
"He had good reason. Even he can't condone what she's doing." Sean said.
"How long has she been here?" Korra asked.
"At least an hour." Batar Senior said.
"Ok. For now she knows she can't make a move on the city since Kong and the others are blocking her. That gives us time." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Varrick was on Kuvira's train in his lab with a film recorder.
"Zhu-Li, is this thing on?" Varrick asked.
"We're rolling, sir." Zhu-Li said.
"Okay, I'm Varrick of Varrick industries international, and this is spirit vine experiment 3-02 of which we retrieved from Titan City without Anyone's knowledge. Hand me the thing." Varrick said getting her to hand him one of the spirit vines in a capsule before putting it into a machine.
"In this stasis Capsule is a preserved spirit vine sample weighing approximately two Zhu-Lis." Varrick said before turning on the machine. "I have postulated that these spirit vines are a form of pure energy that's unstable in what we call typical earth conditions." Varrick said as the capsule glowed purple. "This machine should transfer the energy from the vine into a battery using electrical currents, reverse magnetic polarity, and a little-known phenomenon I call the Varri-effect." Varrick said seeing the results.
"It's working. It's registering five Varricks of power...Now seven Varricks." Varrick said before things started to get out of control with way too much power.
"WHOA. What is this? Whats going on?" Varrick asked. (Why is he not dead when he doesn't even realize the dangers of what he does?)
Thats when Purple lightning shot out at them making them scream.
"Zhu-Li shut it down! There are too many Varricks." Varrick said before a beam of pure energy shot out at the back of the train hitting the mountain.
Inside Suyin's office the whole place shook.
"HEY! What in the fuck was that?" Sean asked.
"I don't think that was an earthquake." Suyin said.
"Somehow I get the feeling Varrick did something royally stupid...Again." Sean said.
Inside the train Zhu-li was on top of Varrick before she saw their position
"Uh My bad." Zhu-Li said before Kuvira and Baatar rushed in.
"Now what did you do this time around?" Kuvira asked.
"How was I supposed to know that would happen? All I did was extract Spirit vine energy and that happened. But don't worry. I'm putting the Kibosh on this project." Varrick said shutting the capsules down.
"No, your not. Do you realize what we can do with this kind of power?" Kuvira asked.
"Yes, I do. And thats why we've got to out an end to it. What if it fell into the wrong hands? Like someone like Mark or Worse?" Varrick said making her raise an eyebrow at that.
"Ok I'll admit thats a good point. But Mark is long since Dead and so are a majority of the Red Lotus save for Zaheer who's never getting out of his cell for the hell he's caused. But the fact is we might need something like this incase the Kaiju come back. Better to be safe than sorry." Kuvira said. (Sure)
"No way. I'm already on bad terms with Kruger and the Titans. And this will just make things worse for me. I just really got to stand my ground on this one. Thats what the voice in my head is telling me." Varrick said before the metal on his shoulders went to his neck lifting him up. "WHOA!"
"Now there's a voice in my head telling me to drop you from a really high and dangerous height. Should I listen?" Kuvira asked holding him up outside at a high height.
"NO! NO! Head voices are liars. What do head voices know? I'll work on the project. Please don't drop me!" Varrick said before the threw him back inside.
"Good." Kuvira said.
Meanwhile
Asami sat in a prison with some letters in front of her with a frown on her face.
Thats when someone was brought in revealing to be her father who looked far older than he should along with a handful of injuries on his face.
"Asami, you came." Hiroshi said as he sat down before he noticed the letters in front of her. "You never even..." Hiroshi tried to say before she ripped them up making him sigh. "I guess I should have expected that." Hiroshi said.
"If you send another letter to me...I'll make sure David gives you the Death Penalty. I want nothing to do with you ever again. For all the pain and death you caused 5 years ago." Asami said glaring at him.
"I understand you hate me more than anything for what I did 5 years ago. But I'm not that monster anymore." Hiroshi said.
"I'm surprised you're not spewing your Hate of Titans and those who support them. I half expected to hear you scream about that when I walked into the building." Asami said still glaring at him.
"I'm not that person anymore. When...Mothra sang 5 years ago to heal Kruger...It also reached here and not only healed physical wounds but mental ones too...I regained my sanity that day...And I was horrified by what I did that day. I killed so many innocent people that day." Hiroshi said.
"It doesn't matter. You willingly killed innocent people. Killed Amon who unlike you knew when he was wrong to do what he did! You poisoned Sean who was gonna be a father. And when I told you he was gonna be a father you swore you were gonna kill Korra and her kids and take your time with it. And you say you changed but you also led the White Lotus to where you found the first Mecha Godzilla and gave them the technology they used to force other Titans to fight him and the others! Don't lie to ME and say you changed when clearly you haven't!" Asami yelled.
"No it's not like that." Hiroshi tried to say.
"SHUT UP!" Asami yelled shocking him. "If you contact me again its gonna be the last thing you do. As far as I'm concerned your not my father and I never had one." Asami said shocking him as she left as the doors closed.
Meanwhile
Korra was outside Suyin's estate standing next to her where she kept some Meteorites around.
"What exactly happened between you and Kuvira anyway? I thought she was your prized protege or something." Korra said.
"She was more than that. She was like a daughter to me. I took her in when she was eight years old and nourished her talents. Kuvira was smart, a natural leader. She quickly rose through the ranks. I saw myself in her." Suyin said.
"So what happened? I know it has something to do with Zaheer since everything is related to him these days." Korra said.
"After Zaheer separated Sean and Godzilla because of his blind view...David, Tenzin and Sean when he was recovered enough approached me about the situation involving the Earth Kingdom. Sean suggested I take a temporary leader position until Godzilla came back. Since Sean trained me like he did you and so many others and because I was a Beifong...I was a good choice." Suyin said.
"But you turned it down." Korra guessed.
"For good reason. I saw how much that power went to the Queen's head and Raiko's even though he never had any true power to begin with since that position was a test which he failed. I was afraid the same thing would happen to me. So Kuvira along with my son and Varrick left to head to Ba Sing Se with Kong's blessing since he believed she could restore order. But when she came back trying to force the City to join her he disowned her as a student and regretted teaching her. He's mostly angry because she proved Godzilla's point that man can't lead itself. Something he didn't fully agree on unless they were trained by them." Suyin said.
"I want to help fix this believe me I really do." Korra said.
"You can. Convince Sean to use whatever power he can to crush her army. Even without Godzilla he's more than powerful enough to handle them." Suyin said.
"It's not that simple. Even though we just finally got the last of the poison removed..." Korra tried to say.
"Wait I thought all of it was gone." Suyin said surprised.
"Apparently not. When Sean vanished he appeared in the swamp and found Toph. She removed the last of it. Thats why he was getting sick for a while. He may be fine now but theres only so much he can do. And I want to stop her but even if I take her down it doesn't mean it's over. Her army will still follow her view even if she's defeated." Korra said making her frown.
"Maybe. But stopping her will buy time until he comes back. Of course there is one other that could help out if he wakes up." Suyin said.
"What are you talking about?" Korra asked.
"Sean used to tell me there was one other Titan who's power was equal to Godzilla's. If he wakes up soon...Maybe he can take his place and get things back to normal." Suyin said.
"I hope so." Korra said walking away.
Walking back into her old room she saw Sean looking outside with a frown.
"You ok?" Korra asked.
"Yeah...Just pissed. I knew giving Kuvira the job to restore order to the Earth Kingdom was not a good idea. I kept feeling like she would let all that power go to her head...And I was right." Sean said.
"You had good reason to let her though." Korra said.
"Maybe." Sean said before she kissed him.
"Come on." Korra said as they got into bed before sleep claimed them both.
Meanwhile
Asami was at the park in Titan City looking at a Statue of Korra since it was named after her now.
Looking ahead she saw a father playing a game with his daughter before picking her up making her sigh.
"Figured I'd find you here." David said with Katara on his shoulders before sitting down. "Whats going on? I got a report about you heading to the prison." David said making her sigh as she took Katara in her arms.
"I...Went to see my father. He's been writing me letters." Asami said.
"Why didn't you say anything? I know how you feel about him after what happened." David said.
"I just went to warn him not to contact me again or he would get the Death Penalty." Asami said making him raise an eyebrow.
"Thats seems kinda harsh." David said.
"Well, he deserves it. After all the pain and suffering he caused five years ago...I don't want anything to do with him anymore." Asami said.
"Did he say why he was contacting you?" David asked.
"No...And I didn't read the letters since I didn't want to hear any of his excuses." Asami said.
"Hmm." David said before Katara looked at an ice cream stand making him smile. "Come on." David said pulling her up as they walked to it making Asami smile.
Meanwhile
Varrick was stuck in his lab like a rat and he was going crazy.
"I can't believe Kuvira locked me in here like a prisoner. I'm not feeling well. I think I'm running out of air. Zhu-Li Hold your breath." Varrick said.
"I'm not holding my breath." Zhu-Li said making some tea.
"Great! Now we're both gonna die." Varrick said. (You first)
"Varrick. Varrick."
"Augh, and the head voices are back!" Varrick panicked before Zhu-Li pointed up making him look up seeing Bolin coming out of a hatch. "Bolin, thank goodness you're here. Where did that Hatch come from? Forget the Hatch! There's something important I've got to tell ya." Varrick said.
"Well, there's something important I've got to tell you too." Bolin said jumping down before they both grabbed each other.
"Kuvira's Crazy!" They both yelled shocking each other they both said that perfectly together. (Oy)
"How'd you find out?" Bolin asked.
"When I refused to build her a super weapon, she threatened my life." Varrick said.
"She threatened me too, and she's threatening Metal City. And it turns out she's been threatening villages this whole time. We've got to get out of here." Bolin said.
Meanwhile
Kuvira was talking with her soldiers.
"Kuvira we have an important Guest." Baatar said getting her attention seeing Sean.
"Kruger, I didn't realize you were here." Kuvira said.
"I got here yesterday. What do you think you're doing?" Sean asked.
"Doing what needs to be done. Metal City is the last holdout." Kuvira said.
"And it's controlled by Titans. The deal was you were to go where you were needed. Not where you wanted to go." Sean said.
"Metal City can't keep ruling itself. It's already been proven that the Red Lotus has spies everywhere. Including here." Kuvira said.
"That was then this is now. Besides as I recall correctly our deal specifically said you were only allowed to help states that needed it like Ba Sing Se. However you've been going to places that didn't need intervention." Sean said.
"Not right away but eventually they did need help when they were attacked by Bandits and other criminals." Kuvira said.
"Yeah...Funny how they only showed up after you did." Sean said making her frown.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Kuvira said.
"Don't take me for a fucking fool!" Sean yelled surprising her. "You think I'm not gonna find it strange that once these places refused your aid that suddenly they come under attack and then need you? How stupid do you think I am!" Sean yelled making her clear her throat.
"Look we only did what was necessary." Baatar said.
"You shut up." Sean said shocking him. "I find it disgusting you turned your back on your family for some girl. I would never do that period. And not to mention you looked the other way when you knew what you did was wrong. Forcing people into detention camps because they weren't born into the Earth Kingdom or for speaking out against your rule?" Sean asked making him look away.
"I had to make some difficult choices..." Kuvira tried to say.
"There was nothing difficult about what you are doing. You willingly had your people disguised as bandits and thugs to attack these people to force them to let you control their states. Forced people into your little army and made many of them into slave labor camps! That was not part of the deal!" Sean yelled.
"Deal or not I had to keep people in line." Kuvira said.
"I'm warning Kuvira. Leave Metal City...Or I'll expose you and the other Titans will get involved. That is a promise." Sean said.
"Look. Perhaps what we did was...Extreme. But you weren't here and neither is he. The amount of Chaos in the Earth Kingdom was high. I made sure that didn't happen while you were recovering and while he's missing. I had to do what was needed to keep people in line. Harsh though it may seem I don't regret it if it kept people safe." Kuvira said.
"Keep telling yourself that. This is your only warning. Leave now...Or I'm gonna give Kong and the others the order. And I'm not fucking around." Sean said leaving making her sigh.
"We knew he might not like the way we did things." Baatar said.
"I know. And as much as I understand his reasons...We can't back down." Kuvira said.
"Maybe we should at least leave for a short while. We're capable of handling people but not them. And we haven't tested them yet." Baatar said.
"Hmm. I need time to think on that since this is the last holdout." Kuvira said.
After that incident Baatar went looking for Bolin before approaching the guards around Varrick's lab.
"Have you seen Bolin?" Baatar asked.
"He came by to see Varrick, but we turned him away."
Baatar frowned at that.
"Open the door." Baatar said getting them to do that and found the place empty making him glare as he looked at the open vent.
"It would seem we have some turncoats to catch." Baatar said.
Meanwhile
Bolin, Varrick and Zhu Li were in Mecha Suits getting as far away as possible.
"Ok I say we sneak in from around the mountains and sneak into Metal City from the rear." Bolin said.
"We're not going to Metal City. That place is doomed. We gotta head to Titan City let the Titans know whats happened so they can deal with all this crap." Varrick said.
"What? No. No, no, no. We've got to help here." Bolin said.
"We'll be helping by warning the world about Kuvira's potential super weapon. If they finish that thing she'll have a power great enough to challenge even him" Varrick said.
"But what about Suyin and her people? We can't just leave them." Bolin said.
"The Titans can hold them off till we get back." Varrick said.
Suddenly they almost got blasted making them look seeing Baatar and his troops in Mecha Suits rushing at them.
"MOMMY!" Varrick yelled getting in his suit before Bolin and Baatar started fighting.
"I'm disappointed in you Bolin." Baatar said.
"You guys lied to me! You were never actually helping anyone but yourselves!" Bolin yelled pushing him back.
Varrick tried to control his suit but he was having no such luck. (shocker)
"Thats not the flamethrower! What idiot designed this garbage!" Varrick yelled.
"You did." Zhu Li said making him frown annoyed. (This is what I Mean! He doesn't even know how to work his own inventions? How has he not died yet?)
Bolin got out of his suit before he started lava bending the others.
"Maybe I should have learned from a Titan who uses Earth powers." Bolin said seeing he was at a disadvantage
"Hey I think I figured this out!" Varrick said before zapping Zhu Li. (MORON!)
"Sir...Stop helping please." Zhu Li begged.
Bolin started lava bending Baatar's men when they got out of their Mecha Suits.
"STOP!" Baatar yelled holding Varrick up who looked annoyed. "Surrender or he dies." Baatar said.
"Thanks a Lot, Zhu Li." Varrick said making her glare. (Oh sure blame the assistant who knows what she's DOING!)
Meanwhile
Hiroshi was led back into the room from before half expecting to see Asami to chew him out again.
To his surprise he saw David for the first time in his life before he sat down.
"I'm sorry...Who are you?" Hiroshi asked.
"My is David. I'm Sean's older brother and Asami's Fiancé." David said making him look down.
"I guess your here to tell me how much of a worthless human being I am like all the rest. I deserve that." Hiroshi said expecting it.
"No. I'm not someone who judges someone for their past. Tell me something? Do you know who made the original Mecha Godzilla?" David asked.
"I hardly think that matters but no...I don't." Hiroshi said.
"My little sister made that thing." David said shocking him. "She made that thing...To kill him. Because she was so angry for something that happened 30,000 years ago. And now we know my brother wasn't responsible. His rival Mark was the one who brought the Kaiju to Earth so he could kill him and try to take Hitomi for himself. Only it backfired but he still took pride in his actions." David said making him sigh.
"So I was angry at the wrong person and almost killed him for nothing." Hiroshi said.
"You had every reason to be angry you just took it too far. My question is this. After all these years. Why contact Asami now? You had five years to do so but you decided to contact her now...Why?" David asked making him sigh.
"Well...Theres only one reason for that." Hiroshi said.
Meanwhile
Bolin, Varrick and Zhu Li were being dragged to Kuvira's tent seeing her looking very unhappy.
"I'm beyond completely disappointed Bolin. I had high hopes for you." Kuvira said.
"Please don't torture us." Bolin begged.
"Send these three away on the next train. Bolin and Zhu Li will be going to the reeducation camp for our most severe dissenters." Kuvira said before looking at Varrick. "And you will continue work on the spirit energy project under close armed supervision. I want it weaponized immediately." Kuvira said turning her back.
"Please, Have mercy on me! Don't send me away. Take me back!" Zhu Li said getting on her knees.
"Now why would I do that?" Kuvira asked.
"My only mistake was being loyal to the wrong person. I was blindly devoted to Varrick, I looked past all the times he ridiculed me or ordered me around or made me clean his disgusting feet." Zhu Li said.
"Hey." Varrick said annoyed.
"I thought he possessed the most brilliant mind in the world, but when I met you, I realized I was wrong. Compared to you, Varrick's a fool." Zhu Li said. (If only she really meant this)
"I am right here you know." Varrick said.
I believe in everything you've done and I believe in your vision." Zhu Li said.
"Hmm. You two could learn something from her. All right...I'll give you another chance." Kuvira said getting her to rise.
"Think about what you're doing! We have history." Varrick said. (Yeah of you giving her no respect)
"I did everything you ever asked of me, and you never appreciated it. Guards, do the thing!" Zhu Li said as they grabbed him and dragged him out.
"NO! NOT THE THING! Zhu Li!" Varrick yelled. (Ah I love seeing this over and over again)
Meanwhile
"So you think she'll get the message?" Korra asked.
"One can only hope." Sean said as they walked to find Suyin.
"By the way. Suyin said there was another Titan who could Take Godzilla's place as King." Korra said.
"Oh. I forgot to mention that one didn't I? This is a Titan that should something happen to Godzilla he takes his place until he recovers." Sean said.
Before she could ask more however though thats when they saw Baatar senior before approaching him.
"Wheres Suyin? We need to talk to her." Korra asked.
"She's not here. She took the boys to sneak into her camp and end this." Baatar Senior said shocking them.
"Damnit Su!" Sean yelled annoyed.
Meanwhile
Suyin and her sons were outside the base where Kuvira was before coming up a tree.
"Are you sure this will work? Even without Kuvira, they could still crush us." Wei said.
"With her out of the picture her forces will be in complete disarray. And without her, her army will be easily destroyed by Kong and the other Titans here. We end this tonight" Suyin said.
They silently managed to get into the base before finding a dome protected by armed guards in Mecha Suits.
Slamming her foot on the ground she sensed the vibrations ahead of her to see if she was inside which she was.
"She's in there alone." Suyin said before they used earthbending to tunnel in.
When they made it in they restrained her before taking the sheets off.
How to they're surprise it wasn't Kuvira but Zhu-Li.
"Don't hurt me." Zhu-Li said.
"Zhu-Li?" Suyin asked surprised before alarms went off and the dome came down before they were surrounded and Kuvira appeared.
"I knew you couldn't resist trying to take me out. It's a cowardly tactic but I anticipated it before you even made it. You were a coward when you turned down Kruger's idea to lead the Earth Kingdom and now your a coward to try and take me out." Kuvira said.
"This madness has to end now." Suyin said before they heard the Titans yell making her look and gasped seeing them contained in some glowing spheres.
"You can thank your son for that. Little something I asked him to make if the Titans made things difficult." Kuvira said as Suyin looked seeing her son.
"Baatar...How could you?" Suyin asked.
"Sorry mother but this has to be done. They're slowing us down." Baatar said making her hold her head down.
"I couldn't be more disappointed in you. Your no different than Mark." Suyin said shocking him.
"Mother I..." Baatar tried to say.
"Save it. Nothing you say or do now will make this right." Suyin said.
Meanwhile
"Sean, you have to stop Suyin before she does something really dangerous." Jinora said.
"Stop her? We should be helping her!" Opal said.
"We have no idea where your mom is or what her plan is. If we go charging into Kuvira's camp, we could get them all captured or worse. All we can do now is wait." Korra said.
Thats when the loudspeakers turned on.
"Attention, citizens of Metal City. Your leader, Suyin Beifong, attempted to attack me tonight while I slept. I now have her and her assault team in custody." Kuvira said.
"No." Opal said.
"Rest assured that I will not take revenge on the peaceful citizens of Metal City, as long as your remaining representatives meet me outside the city at dawn to offer the full and unconditional surrender of your city. That is all." Kuvira said.
"Korra, you can't let Kuvira get away with this. We have to go break out my mom and my brothers." Opal said.
"You swore an oath of nonaggression when you became an airbender. You can't just attack Kuvira." Jinora said making her scoff.
"Oh thats a laugh. Would you do the same if Turok's life was on the line." Opal said.
"Thats not fair." Jinora said.
"Knock it off!" Sean yelled shutting them up. "Look arguing about this isn't gonna change a damn thing." Sean said.
"So what are we supposed to do? Nothing?" Opal asked.
"No. Look Kuvira's not stupid. She knows if she kills Suyin the rest of the world and the Titans will have no choice but to retaliate. She's well liked by people and the Titans. She wouldn't stand a chance." Sean said.
"Then why aren't Kong and the others doing something?" Opal asked.
"Um." Jinora said pulling up a screen showing them in energy cages.
"God...Fuck!" Sean yelled kicking a wall.
"Baatar did this." Opal said crossing her arms.
"I know." Sean said pissed off. "I'm gonna handle this first thing in the morning." Sean said.
"Sean...If she made technology like this...Who knows what else she can do." Korra said concerned.
"Maybe. But we need to do something. This is only gonna get worse." Sean said.
Next day
Sean, Korra, Jinora and Opal stood outside of Zaofu facing Kuvira's army with Suyin and her sons in Pods while Kong and the others were still contained as Kong roared in rage.
"Let them go." Opal said.
"If Su agrees to bow to me and turn over Metal City, she and the rest of your family will not be harmed." Kuvira said.
"Never! I'll never bow to you!" Suyin yelled.
"Kuvira I fucking warned you yesterday. This over the line." Sean said.
"There must be some way for us to resolve this." Korra said.
"I've already laid out my terms, and I think they're very reasonable." Kuvira said.
"Reasonable my ass! I'm not gonna let you take over the place just because you want to control everything in the Earth Kingdom." Sean said.
"There is no Earth Kingdom anymore. I've established an Earth Empire." Kuvira said making him glare.
"Where's Bolin? I know he would never agree to go along with this." Opal said.
"If you must know he's on his way to a detention center with Varrick. You'll never see either one of them ever again." Kuvira said shocking her.
"Kuvira I am warning you right now. Stop this nonsense before the others have to intervene." Sean said.
"Let them come. I've proven I can handle them all with technology like this. The age of the Titans ruling mankind is over. Soon they won't have a say in anything anymore and the world will do things my way." Kuvira said.
"KUVIRA!" Kong roared trying to get free.
"Consider it payback for disowning me so casually." Kuvira said glaring at him.
"Ok...I guess we have no choice." Sean said.
"If you think You can defeat me be my guest. But it's gonna be one on one. If Korra gets involved my men have orders to execute Suyin's sons." Kuvira said shocking her as she glared.
"You spineless little...Fine." Sean said as he stepped up.
"Sean...Be Careful." Korra said worried.
"Relax. I can handle this." Sean said as they stood in front of one another. "For the record I knew putting you in charge was a big mistake. It's time I corrected that." Sean said before she tried to earth bend him but he dodged before trying to waterbend.
Only to realize he couldn't.
"HEY! What gives I can't bend!" Sean yelled in shock.
"Finally noticed huh?" Kuvira mocked before he saw some of her men with some strange devices in hand. "Little something I had Baatar make in case I needed it. It blocks your bending ability." Kuvira said looking at said man.
"You really are just like Mark." Sean said making him frown.
"I am nothing like that man. He was insane." Baatar said.
"And you're pathetic." Sean said dodging more of Kuvira's attacks since thats all he could do.
"Kuvira this isn't fair!" Suyin yelled.
"I'm not going for fair." Kuvira said as she earth bended Sean's foot keeping him from moving making him growl before he yelled as she earthbended him in the chest making Korra gasp as he flew backwards and coughed up blood.
Getting up with a groan he glared at her as she smirked.
"Whats the matter Kruger? Feeling winded?" Kuvira asked.
"Fuck you. I can do this all day." Sean said making her smirk as she was about to hit him again.
However in the South at the Spirit portal a bright light flew out and towards them before blinding Kuvira.
"WHAT!" Kuvira yelled in shock.
Sean suddenly groaned as he fell to his knees trying to recover.
"Reminds you of when you and Mark really went at it?"
Sean widened his eyes before looking up seeing Hitomi smiling at him.
"Hitomi?" Sean asked.
"Hello, Sean." Hitomi said as she held him which he did the same to her.
"I am...So sorry." Sean said.
"For what?" Hitomi asked.
"It was my fault. If I hadn't built that dumb portal then Mark..." Sean tried to say.
"Sean...No one could have ever predicted he would go that far. I knew he was responsible for killing his parents since he didn't show much emotion for it. Mark was a madman. Didn't care who died in his experiments. You at least made sure you did things carefully to avoid what happened to our parents from happening to others. You may have been arrogant...But you weren't selfish like he was." Hitomi said.
"I lived...30,000 years blaming myself for what happened. Your death and the others...Only to find out he did it." Sean said.
"I know...But I like to think that day...Changed you into a better man. You trained good people and leaders for all those years. Gave them hope for a better future. You stopped the Kaiju with the elements. Your a better man today than I could ever hope in our day. And as much as I wish we could have had our own family...I'm happy you and Korra got to be together and had one." Hitomi said kissing him which he returned.
"I don't know what to do right now. Kuvira has me trapped. I can't bend and I can't use Godzilla's abilities anymore. I'm cornered." Sean said.
"I wouldn't say that entirely. Incase your forgetting theres one Titan there that can make a huge difference for you. And I have a gift from the original you can use." Hitomi said before a bright light engulfed them.
When the light died down Kuvira saw a bright white ball in front of Sean.
"What is this nonsense?" Kuvira asked.
"No nonsense. Just your downfall." Sean said pulling something out which revealed to be some ancient Sword that had bladed Bones. (Picture the Dragonbone Greatsword from Skyrim)
"Whoa. Where did that come from?" Opal asked in awe.
"What is that?" Kuvira asked annoyed.
"This is made from the bones of the spikes on Godzilla's back. Old ones that is." Sean said. (My Buddy Reaperofballance brought up using this a while ago during the queen chapter)
"Oh am I supposed to be scared? Of a little sword?" Kuvira mocked.
"Nope. This is just to wake him up." Sean said stabbing it into the ground before a mighty and powerful yet familiar roar was heard.

Suddenly the ground began to shake as Sean grinned.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" Kuvira yelled in anger as a tail suddenly came out of the ground before landing behind Sean.
"I told you I just woke someone up." Sean said as a clawed hand came out of the ground making Kuvira growl as she tried to Earth bend Sean but another clawed hand blocked her.
"INSECT!" A thunderous roar yelled making her widen her eyes as something came out of the ground completely making her gasp in shock seeing.
"Godzilla!" Baatar yelled as he roared at them all.
"Not quite." Sean said as they took a closer look seeing he looked slightly shorter by 10 meters and the spikes on his back were different as he roared at them all.
"What the hell? Why does he looked nearly identical to him?" Kuvira asked as Sean smirked.
"Allow me to introduce the one Titan who can take Godzilla's place as King. Meet Dagon. Godzilla's younger brother." Sean said as Dagon roared loudly at them. (Picture Godzilla 2014 and yes this is Dagon from the Godzilla Aftershock comics)
Dagon growled at Kuvira's army before blasting Kong's cage making him get free before he smashed Congar's cage who roared before they started freeing the others before attacking Kuvira's army.
"NO!" Kuvira roared before Sean's sword glowed before Dagon blasted it with Atomic breath making it glow brighter before Sean swung it at Kuvira creating a wave of power.
"AHHHH!" Kuvira screamed as her left arm was cut off as Baatar caught her before looking at Dagon who's spikes started glowing before blasting a large majority of the army making him gasp in shock.
"We need to leave. NOW!" Baatar yelled as he carried her away to a aircraft before they flew off with what remained of her army as Dagon roared in the air in victory.

Sean sighed as he looked at his new Sword before placing it on his back as Korra rushed to him.
"You ok?" Korra asked.
"I'm good. Just had a little talk with Hitomi when that light hit." Sean said making her smile.
"Whoa." Jinora said in awe looking at Dagon.
"I finally wake up after 30,000 years and I get dragged into a battle." Dagon said.
"Oh stop complaining." Kong said.
"So...This is Godzilla's younger brother?" Korra asked.
"Yup and the only one who can take his place as King. Who better than the younger sibling." Sean said.
"But aren't the other Godzillas his siblings?" Korra asked.
"Different versions of the species but not actual siblings like him." Sean said.
"Allow me to explain this. Each one of us has a role to play in life. My brother is to lead everyone. Mine is to step in if something happens. Kong believes in both man and Titans being Equal hence why his city has human leaders. Something I agree on. Ghidorah's is to keep others in line. Destroyah is to serve punishment for those who step out of line." Dagon said.
"Oh so each one of you has an important role." Jinora said.
"Exactly." Dagon said.
"And with him around the Titans can get organized again." Sean said.
"But...What do we do about Bolin and Varrick?" Opal asked concerned for her boyfriend.
"We'll find them. I promise." Sean said.
Later
Katara sat on her grandmother's lap as she told them a few stories.
Thats when Pepper flew to the island and landed.
"Daddy!" Katara yelled running to them as he got off and held her.
"Hey sweetheart." Sean said kissing her forehead as Korra got the Twins.
"What happened? Reports are coming in from all over that Kuvira's army has been severely downsized." Tenzin said before Dagon came out of the ocean and roared shocking them.
"Before you ask no thats not Godzilla. Thats his younger brother Dagon. He's gonna be taking charge." Sean said.
"Oh joy." San said annoyed.
"Shut up Kevin." Ichi said making him growl.
"STOP CALLING ME THAT!" San yelled.
"Some things never change." Dagon said.
"But where's Bolin?" Mako asked not seeing his own brother.
"We...Don't really know." Korra said.
"Yet. We know Kuvira has him and Varrick somewhere. We'll find them soon enough." Sean said.
"Whats with the Sword?" Sarah asked as he took it out.
"A gift from both Hitomi and the Original. Made from the bone spike of Godzilla. Capable of absorbing Atomic power and sending it in waves. Thats how I cut off Kuvira's arm." Sean said.
"Damn." Turok said holding Jinora close making her smile.
"So what happened to Kuvira?" Reznov asked.
"With her army nearly crushed she's lost her full control over the Earth Kingdom. Meaning we can take control again." Sean said.
"Good. About time." David said.
Even though Godzilla was still missing his brother would take his place and lead the Titans the same way he would. Restoring order and freedom to the Human race.
Authors Note: And with that the Titans have a new leader until Godzilla returns. I bet no one saw that coming with Godzilla actually having a brother who would take his place until he returns. Like I said I have a habit of surprising people. Now as for the Next Chapter...Tell me if they recognize this line from 2 years ago. Long Live the King. And no not Lion King.
